Acrobat XI Outlook 2013 plug-in problems

I have Outlook 2013 installed on my computer and just downloaded Acrobat XI.  According to some web searches, I should get an Adobe PDF pull-down tab inside Outlook, but there is nothing there.  When I go to Outlook Options/Add-Ins the PDFMaker plug-in is shown as inactive.  When I try to make it active I get this error message:
"Not loaded.  A runtime error occurred during the loading of the COM Add-in"
Does anyone know how to fix this?  Thanks.

Is this 64-bit Outlook?  If so, this solution (post #30) may help: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5620222#5620222

  • Acrobat XI Outlook 2013 add-on crashes Outlook

Acrobat XI Outlook 2013 add-on crashes Outlook each time I try to convert an email to PDF,
I did not see a relevant answer to this specific problem in the forums.
Of course I can print an email to acrobat PDF but I believe a fix or an update from Adobe is overdue.
I had to disable the add-on in the meantime.
Otherwise PDF maker in the right click context menu works fine.
Windows 7 64 bit, Acrobat XI Pro 11.0.5
    Anybody has an idea ?

    Have you tried the following?
Launch Office 2013 as Administrator, i.e. right click on Office icon and select 'Run as Administrator'.
    or
Try creating a new user account on Windows to see if the same issue occurs.

  • I cannot email attachment directly from Acrobat to Outlook 2013.

I get the message "there is no default mail client"  But outlook is correctly set as default.  can email from other apps, just not acrobat. I have differnt computers with different systems and each cannot email to outlook.
Using Acrobat 11 Standard to Outlook 2013 64bit under Win 8.1 Pro 64bit and Acrobat 9 to Outlook 2013 64bit under Win 7 Pro 64bit.  Also, Acrobat 11 to Outlook 2013 64 bit under Win 7 Pro 64 bit. The common element is Outlook 2013, but Microsoft Tech says it is a Adobe issue since other apps work.  Was using Acrobat 9 to Outlook 2003 32bit under Win XP 32bit.
Is there an issue with 32 bit Acrobat to 64bit Outlook 2013?

Yes.  I discovered that. So I upgraded Acrobat to v11.0.5 on that computer.  I have 2 computers in my network, both run Win 7 Pro 64bit; Acrobat 11.0.5; Outlook 2013 64bit.  Each computer will not email, returned the message "there is no default mail client". (Each computer has a separate license for Acrobat, Outlook 2013)
Edited the registry in 1 computer, it worked. This computer was running Acrobat 11.0.0 at the time of the registry edit.  Acrobat upgraded automatically to v11.0.5 it corrupted the registry files, Outlook would not open until it rejected the Acrobat Add-in "Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin".  This happened in both computers. I then edited the registry in the other computer and it worked.
Each computer boots up to "there is no default mail client" pop up. Ran repair in both Acrobat and Outlook, didn't work. No issue other than the Addins corrupts Outlook 2013. Each computer has the same issue.  Home computer with Win 8 Pro 64bit, Acrobat 11.0.5, Outlook 2013 64bit, with Addins and registry edit, is working fine.
The issue seems to be 32bit Acrobat conflicts with 64bit Outlook 2013. What does the Addin do?

  • MS Access Freezes and Closes when I save a draft email via Outlook 2013

I have Access 2013 Office 365.  When I email a report from access via Outlook 2013 I have problems.  Outlook opens fine. If I hit send everything is fine. However if I save the email as a draft Access freezes and then closes after a 10- 15 sec delay.
The email is saved as a draft in Outlook but very annoying to have to reopen my Database .
The message I get is : MS Access has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available
I tried compact and repair but that didn't help. Also tried turned of add ons. That didn't work.
Never had this problem with office 2010.  What can I do?
I just discovered the same thing  is happening in Excel and Word.

  • Unable to expand public folder in Outlook 2013 and Exchange 2013 CU6

    Hello,
we have just migrated Exchange 2010 to 2013. Everything works great, except public folders, which we are not able to expand in Outlook 2013. Public folders can be added to OWA without any problem, so just the Outlook 2013 is a problem (we never tried any
other version, as all the e-mail clients installed here are Outlook 2013).
The public folders are visible under node Favorities in Outlook 2013, but whenever we click any folder, the Public folders disappear completely from the left navigation pane or the message is shown on the right pane, that the public folder cannot be opened.
When Outlook is started, a dialog is sometimes opened, which contains prefilled Microsoft exchange server, mailbox, button Check name, which is disabled. The only thing which can be done with that dialog is clicking the button Ok.
Any help is appreciated, the desperation level starts to be reaching max threshold.
    Kind regards,
    John.

Thank you for your quick response. I have tried removing and creating new Outlook profile many times, without any effect.
    1) When I switch to the online mode, only the node All Public Folders is displayed in the left navigation pane and after I start the Outlook the dialog mentioned above is displayed. The node Favourities is not visible.
    2) In offline node, node App Public folders is visible and whenever I click it, message "Cannot expand the folder" is shown. After checking Download favourities, the list of public folders is available, but whenever I click any folder, it shows
"We didn't find anything to show here." and "The folder is up to date." in the bottom status bar. The content is rendered correctly in OWA and these public folders contain many e-mails and subfolders. None of these is rendered in Outlook.
Thanks in advance for any tips and inspiration, we start to run out of ideas. I am more than sure that it will be something simple, but we can't still figure it out.

  • Outlook 2013 won't sync thru iCloud -- workaround

On a Windows 8 PC, Outlook 2013 will not sync calendar and contacts with i devices thru iCloud.  Until Apple and/or Microsoft address the compatibility issue, there is a reasonable workaround.  Use Outlook 2013 only for mail.  For calendar  and contacts, go to icloud.com and use the apps there.  User interface is almost identical with the apps on i devices, and these two apps sync perfectly thru iCloud.  I believe the Outlook 2013/iCloud compatibility problem exists regardless of which version of Windows is being used, but I have experience only with Win 8 on this issue..

Outlook 2013 is not a supported iCloud client, there are no official 'workarounds' but the mehod you describe will suffice.
Using MS Exchange with Outlook is a far superior method of synchronizing Contacts, Calendars. Notes and Tasks.

  • Problem using the e-mail button in Acrobat Pro 7.1.0 with Outlook 2013

I just switched my e-mail application from Mozilla Thunderbird to Outlook 2013.
I have always been able to click the e-mail button in Acrobat 7.1.0 to open a blank e-mail message with the PDF file attached.
I keep getting an error now that I have Outlook 2013.
It says "You need to create a Microsoft Outlook profile.  In Microsoft Windows, go to the Control Panel and open Mail.  Click Show Profiles, and then click Add"
Then, when I click on the OK button it says "Acrobat is unable to log in to your email application.  Please check your account settings and try again."
I have checked and I have one profile in Control Panel called Outlook.  Outlook is set as my default e-mail program.
I tried using a 3rd party PDF reader (Foxit Reader) and the e-mail button works as expected (opens a new message with the PDF attached).
I am running Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit with Outlook 2013 32-bit (this was what was recommended by Microsoft on the Office download site).
I would appreciate help anyone can provide to fix this problem.
    Thank you.

It may be a similar issue, but not the same issue. This is not the Reader forum, but if you are worried about the compatibility it is a simple matter to upgrade your Reader to AR XI. The original post had to do with a cost product, not the free Reader.
For AA7, the PDF Maker of AA7 is not compatible with Outlook 2013 as suggested. You should still be able to open most PDFs, but to create a PDF from Outlook you will have to print to the Adobe PDF printer or upgrade to AA XI.

  • How to fix acrobat/pagemaker plug-in for Outlook 2013 from disabling on restart?

I have an issue with one of my customers where they have to go in and manually enable the Adobe Acrobat plug-in for Outlook 2013 every time they close and re-open Outlook or restart their computer.  When I go into Add-Ins in Outlook the plug-in isn't in the disabled COM add-ins, but in  the Inactive Application Add-ins section and the user needs to click on Go and then check the box to enable it.  This happens everytime Outlook is restarted or the computer is restarted.  Anyone seen this issue and have a fix?  it's a Windows 7 pro machine running Adobe Acrobat X and Office 2013 (cloud install).  Office and Windows are all patched and up to date.  Running "check for updates" within Acrobat says it's up to date also.  Thanks for any input or help in advance.

Sounds like the Security settings in the registry for Outlook 2013/Office 2013 are stuck and not letting you permantly change/the setting.  This has more to do with Office than it does with Acrobat so you may want to go to the MS website to see where these settings live in the Windows registry.

  • Acrobat XI email attachment does not appear to work with Outlook 2013 64 bit

When attempting to send email from Acrobat, the following Microsoft Office Outlook 2013 64 bit error message is received:
"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request.  Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default email client."
Naturally, Outlook was set as default client and then reset for good measure.  I did both Outlook and Acrobat repairs and have the latest 11.0.2 installed.  All other internal Office 2013 email applications work as well as seemingly all other embedded Acrobat funcitions with Office 2013 work well.  Office 2010 64 bit and Acrobat X worked fine.  I upgraded to Office 2013 64 bit and had the problem with Acrobat X.  I then upgraded to Acrobat XI and the issue remained.
Most importantly, I intalled Office 2013 64 bit on my laptop with Acrobat X.  An the email attachment function works perfectly.
So, is there some sort of corrupt MAPI file that I have to overwrite on my desktop that the Ofice and Acrobat repair functions do not fix?
    Thanks,
    Joe

I am sorry.  In my haste, not only did I attach the link the wrong way, but I also did not specify which solution worked.  My problem was a Click to Run issue.  The portion of the thread that deals with the problem is:
"HurdleRemove replied on May 16, 2013
I created a solution for this problem for 64 bit Windows 8 where Outlook 2013 was installed as Click-To-Run.......
......A  registry edit will fix the problem with Outlook 2013 click to run  installations and enable Outlook to be set as the default mail client.  This registry edit will for many third party programs eliminate the error "Either  there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot  fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it  as the default mail client." It  worked to resolve the problem where Adobe Acrobat was generating this  error.
The registry edit is here for Office  2013 64 bit click to run installations that will enable Outlook 2013 to  be recognized by third party applications:
    1. Create registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook
    2. Create String value:
    Bitness
    3. Set the String value for Bitness to:
    x64
This registry edit is an essential element  necessary to resolve the click to run problem that prevents Outlook 2013  from being set as the default mail client. Although it worked with  Adobe Acrobat, it will not completely resolve the  problem for some third party applications like Kerio Outlook Connecter  where the software developer has a web site that includes extra steps  necessary for a full resolution for the Kerio product. The Kerio web  site includes this registry edit in the context  of resolving the Office 365 problem. However, the registry edit works  with Office 2013 desktop as well. A similar register edit could likely  be made for 32 bit versions but the registry path would not include Wow6432Node. I do not have a 32 bit machine and cannot test a 32 bit solution."

  • Acrobat 11.0.5 PDF Maker does not save attachments in Outlook 2013

I had lots of problems getting PDFMaker to work in Outlook 2013.  Finally with 11.0.5 ver it appears to work.
Unfortunately....when saving attachments it does Not  save the attachments.
This is a very serious problem as I am dependent on archiving emails.
Does anyone else have this problem.  Is there a solution.
Looks like I need to use non Adobe product...... which is crazy.

    Hi gnits999,
Please make sure that you have set the correct PDFMaker settings:
Go to Acrobat plugin in Outlook -> then click on 'Change Conversion Settings' -> and under 'Settings' tab check following highlighted option.

  • Email attachments not exporting from outlook 2013 with Acrobat XI standard

I can't get my email attachments in Outlook 2013 to export along with the message.   I've got the option checked in the settings to include attachments, and I don't get an error message when the PDF is created.  But it includes the message only, regardless of whether it's set to output as a portfolio.  I'm using the latest version (11.0.10) of Acrobat XI.  Does anyone have a suggestion on what the problem might be and how I can fix it?  Thanks very much.

    Hey mikem750,
Once you convert the email to PDF, you have to click on Attachments under the Navigation pane. You can then save the attached file and then convert it to PDF format.
Choosing 'include attachments' option under conversion settings will simply include attachments (original format) along with the converted email message.
    Hope this information helps.

  • Acrobat X Pro für Outlook 2013?

    Guten Tag,

    Hi Herzogwo,
It is neither the problem with Acrobat X nor with Outlook 2013. You wont be able to get PDFmaker plugin enable on outlook as Outlook2103 is not compatible  with Acrobat X.
For reference :: Compatible web browsers and PDFMaker applications.
For work around. Click on File Choose Print. From drop down from printer choice window choose Adobe PDF printer. And Print the document.

    Ajlan Huda.

  • Question about possible limitation with Outlook 2013 and Acrobat 11 Pro

Is anyone aware of a limit on folders displaying in the "Convert folders to PDF" when selecting folders to print from Outlook 2013?
My coworkers and I have noticed that plus signs are not available for viewing folders when attempting to print a pdf file using the "Convert folders to PDF" option in the Adobe PDF plug-in.  However, these plus signs that are used to expand folders when viewing PST files in Outlook are available.
The below is not the exact example of the issue.  I included it to show how the plus signs display.  Each PST file that is added to Outlook should display in the window including all of it's folders and subfolders.
If anyone can answer whether or not there is a limits or any limitations when working with Outlook in this regard it would be greatly appreciated.

    Good morning to everybody.
Hi Test Screen Name, thanks to answer to my aplly.
Well after see same computers here, my Acrobat Pro is the 7.0 (CS2), ... and the Reader is 11.0.2 (XI) ...
But after your help here, I think the script - event.target.buttonImportIcon(); doesn't work with higher than CS2
The CS3 and CS5 we have here  - Didn't work,
but in the computers where is install the Adobe CS2 ... Almost Perfect-Works
On computers without Adobe - Is better I keep dreaming - "No way josé - don´t work" || Reader 10 (X)
It's a shame, a simple action and quite useful for interactive forms. And I ran out solutions ...
I going to pray for them have a lower Reader version
Anyway Thanks to _ Try67 _ and _ Teste Screen Name

  • HP Laserjet CM2320 MFP driver problem with Outlook 2013

    Hi,
The problem starts when you want to print from Outlook 2013 ( Office365 flavour ).
You can print once. Then Outlook and the printspooler crashes.
In the print qu you find pages NA and no kb for the printvolume.
Impossible to delete the printjob normaly.
Only reboot helps to recover printing possibilitys with the exception of Outlook 2013.
After consulting HP, we tried to prin with PCL 6 an Post Script drivers with changed, advanced, settings.
    This does not help.
More then one PC faces this problem.
Do you have an idea to fix this ?
    Best regards
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
It might be that the 'OutlPrnt' is corrupted on your computer. This is the file where Outlook keeps its printing style settings.
Please try to recover from this by renaming the OutlPrnt file to .old when Outlook is closed and verify the results. You can find the file in %Appdata%/microsoft/outlook.
