Acrobat XI Pro install errors 1935 &1603

Hi,
I have just upgraded from CS3 and run the Creative Cloud installer app but am having problems with Acrobat (whereas Indesign and Photoshop installed fine) on my workstation that is running Win 7 64-bit.
I have therefore uninstalled all Adobe products, run the Adobe CC Cleaner, checked .Net (currenly 4.5.1) is up to date and restarted but no luck as the attached screen grab where the 'more information' link states:
"Exit Code: 7
Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example,  ERROR:

    I had installed Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and it worked for a few months. Then it stopped. I tried to repair it and could not - so I tried to uninstall. Most uninstalled, but there is still one "program" listed that cannot be uninstalled ( I get message: "This package could not be opened. When  I try to re-install, I get error message: "ERROR: Install MSI payload failed with error: 1636 - This update package could not be opened.     I installed on HP Elitebook 8540w with Windows 7, x86
    Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I was already on live support with Adobe for 3 hours and they could not fix it. I really need help and need the software functioning again as it should.

    Please use the Acrobat cleaner tool ( Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs ) to remove the software completely.
    Reboot the machine, install Acrobat and check.

  • Acrobat 9 pro install error!

    So I got my licensed version of acrobat 9 finally only to get this stupid error. Unstalled and installed twice obvioulsly did not work. I have had nothing but problems with Adobe CS5 and OSX 10.6.4 this is starting to get old... I refuse to call Adobe in India, anyone know how to solve this issue?

    Hi Bruce,
    Please open registry by typing "regedit" in the Run window (Windows + R)
    Now, navigate to "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\acrobat\shell\open\ddeexec\application and changing the Key from "AcroviewA10"  to  "AcroviewR10.
    Now, try launching Acrobat and let me know if the issue resolves.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Reinstallation Errors

    My hard drive crashed on my computer (replaced with new one) and I had to reinstall my Adobe CS5 and Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. All of CS5 reinstalled fine. However, everytime I reinstall Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, it errors every time. It will install, but whenever you open the program, it immediately stops working and errors out saying Adobe Acrobat 9.3 stopped working. Windows cannot find a solution and then closes. 
    It never gives me the chance to enter my product key or register the product. I went to the Adobe Product page and tried downloading and installing all the updates, but nothing works. No matter what I do it closes right away. Any ideas?
    My PC is on Windows 7 - I had to initially install Acrobat on this PC when I got it a year or so ago and it worked fine. Not sure what's changed.

    I just tried reinstalling it - again, it wasnt giving me the option to register it or anything. Would close the minute I opened Acrobat.
    So I opened the Acrobat Distiller that installed with Acrobat and that asked me to accept the agreement and register the product. Once I did that - Acrobat started working again!

    On a new installation of CS6 D&W Premium, on Mac OSX (10.7.4) Everything seems to install except Acrobat, and I am left with the following after installation.

    Despite the above error, the application is in the APP folder and starts with no errors.  Recently an update became available to Acrobat X Pro and the Update will not install -- it says that Acrobat has been modified since its original installation.
    Any ideas what might be going on here?

    Restart with the Option key held down and use Lion's recovery partition to install onto that drive. Alternatively, clone your existing system to that drive, run DiskWarrior on the clone, restart from the clone, and use DiskWarrior to repair the internal drive.

    Acrobat X Pro (installed under CS6 Suite) crashes when run under a domain users account (receives error 6, uninstall/reinstall product). I've done this many times with the same result.     Was it running in the past? Also, Reader and Acrobat are different products and you mentioned them as though you think they are the same. If you can open the package, select Help>Repair. Follow up with Help>Updates.

    I go to use Pagemaker 6.5 - The program will start but you can't save or open a 6.5 file without it shutting down pagemaker.
    Is there a fix?
    Just forget using it on the machine with Acrobat 9 on it?
    If I unistall Acrobat 9 will pagemaker work again? I can deactivate it & reactivate in on a different machine as I remember....?

  • Acrobat X Pro install package does not remove Adobe Reader X

    I am using the Adobe Customization Wizard X to deploy our Acrobat X Pro install. In the transform I have both options checked to removed previous versions of Acrobat and Reader.
    The only version of Reader that does not get removed is Reader X. Has anyone else run into this? I've had version 8 and 9 get removed, but any system that has Reader X, keeps it, and Acrobat X Pro get's installed as well.
    I understand Adobe will support that configuration, but I'd prefer to have just one PDF reader
    Any input is appreciated

    Same problem in our environment. It seems, that Reader X is not understood as an old or minor version as it was in previous versions and therefore, both, Acrobat X and Reader X can coexist on a machine.
