  • Acrobat 7 pro installation issues in windows 7

I am trying to install acrobat 7 pro on a windows 7 machine. I followed the directions from chat to download updated program and new serial number because of activation issues. All went well until setup said I didn't have access to files in programfiles (86) such as AcroPDF.FRA. No such file. Setup shuts down and I'm back at square one. HELP!!!

I was able to install it on Win 7, even the 64-bit version. But neither AcroTray or the Adobe PDF print driver for AA 7 works on Win 7. That means you have to use workarounds to get things done if you succeed in installing. it is time for you to probably buy a new copy.

  • Acrobat XI Pro installation failed

    MacBook Pro 13" Retina
    OSX 10.8.5
    3 GHz Intel Core i7
    8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    Used Akamai NetSession Interface.
Downloaded from Adobe website. After download, clicked on installer, entered serial number, quickly went through installing until right at the end: "THE INSTALLATION FAILED: Installer encountered an error that caused installation to fail. Contact manufacturer." Part of the message cut-off abruptly.
Then, it appeared that the installation did occur but when I opened the software the interface didn't look "smooth." Then almost immediately software update stated Acrobat XI Pro 11.0.04 was available for download, but computer wouldn't allow it to be installed citing error on initial problem. I uninstalled XI Pro and tried to download again from Adobe website but the window instantly opened for Akamai and said download complete. The same problem occured when I tried to install again, with the same error message.

    Thank you Anish.
The software now appears to be working for some reason, and even though Error 1301 appeared when trying to update to Acrobat 11.0.04, it shows that I am running 11.0.04. There is something going on in there but so far so good.

  • ERROR: DW006: Apple Package failed to install successfully. ERROR: Third party payload installer Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Installer.pkg failed with exit code: 1

Also Adobe CC, BASICALLY IT just quit and i had to uninstall, re install, and I get this
ERROR: DW006: Apple Package failed to install successfully.
ERROR: Third party payload installer Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Installer.pkg failed with exit code: 1
    Anyone with same issues...

Same problem. Creative Cloud subscriber running Mac 10.10.2 on iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014). All apps work fine EXCEPT for Adobe Acrobat XI. I have tried 100 times and 100 solutions. NOTHING works.

  • Acrobat 11 Pro installer get's hung up when it gets' to "Installing script packages-"

I have a 2008 15" Unibody Macbook Pro with the replaceable five hour battery.  It has 8 GS of RAM and it is booted under Mountain Lion.  The Acrobat 11 Pro installer get's hung up when it gets to "Installing script packages…"  It never finishes installation.  I've tried it after booting in Safe Boot Mode and then again in regular boot mode.  I've had no success.  The Acrobat 11 Pro installer works fine when installing on my 2007 32bit Mac Pro desktop, booted under Lion.  Do I need to try something fancy with command line, using the Terminal app?  I'm stumped.

    Greetings, Rave and Sabian.
I resolved the Acrobat 11 Pro install issue without reformatting my Macbook Pro's internal hard drive.  I reinstalled Mountain Lion on top of the existing Mountain Lion installation.
I reinstalled Lion on my '07 32bit Mac Pro, about a month ago, and it resolved a lot of issues.  So, re-installing Mountain Lion on top of the existing Mountain Lion installation was the fix to get the Acrobat 11 Pro install to complete and also eliminate some other system bugs I was having.
After using Acrobat 11 Pro on my Mac Pro, for over a week, I have to say it is a huge improvement over Acrobat 9 Pro.  I love having the tools and commenting tabs over to the right of the window and using the top menu less.  It makes scrolling through PDF pages and comments two separate activities, allowing the screen refresh to be much quicker and better.
Acrobat 11 Pro is a great version!

  • Adobe Acrobat X Pro Extracting Issue

When the download manager was trying to extract the Adobe Acrobat X Pro files to my computer folder, the following message suddenly popped out:
A problem occured while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write priveleges on the destination folder.
I restarted my computer just in case and tried to download the software again yet when it reached on the extracting part, the message again popped out. I have also checked my available space from my C drive and I still have enough, 1.27 TB to be exact.
I am the only user and the admin of this computer where I'm trying to download the software so it would be unlikely that I am restricted to the destination folder. Also, I have downloaded other softwares to the same destination folder and it went successful. It is just with the Adobe Acrobat X Pro dowload where I'm having this issue.
I would greatly appreciate for your prompt response with this matter. Thank you.

is your harddrive 1tb or larger?  if so, you'll need to partition that drive to use acrobat x on it.
    otherwise:
    uninstall acrobat X
    run the cleaner, http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
    restart your computer
if you're using windows, right click the installation file and click "run as administrator"

  • Creative Suite 5 and Acrobat 9 Pro Installation Question.

    Hi
We currently have a number of machines that  have Acrobat 9 Pro installed as Standalone software along with Creative Suite 5, which is now showing up as two individual licenses, one for Acrobat 9 Pro and the other for Creative Suite Bundle.
I have been told via our Asset Management Provider that we can remove the standalone version and replace with Acrobat from the CS5 bundle which will resolve the issue, although having downloaded CS5 from your website, do not seem to have Acrobat 9 Pro option to install.
What is the deal with this? Is this because you have removed Acrobat 9 from your website? Any suggestions how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated?
    Thanks

There is a separate installer for Acrobat 9.  It was included on a separate DVD.
MattingG you can download the installation files for Acrobat 9 for Windows at http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-8-9-product-downloads.html.
You should also have a separate serial number for Acrobat 9 which was included with your license.  Do you have a retail license or a volume license?  If you do have a volume license then you should be downloading your installers and obtain your serial numbers at https://licensing.adobe.com/.

  • ADOBE ACROBAT 9 PRO INSTALLS BUT DOES NOT COMPLETE

    Hi:
I'm a new user of Adobe Acrobat 9 pro. I had a trial version but uninstalled it with the superb help of Michael Kazlow and bought a full version.
It installed OK (after asking my serial number) but when I started to use it, I was asked for my serial number again on the back of the DVD box which I had inserted before the installation began.
Problem: When I type in my correct serial number and click Next, the screen shows a DIFFERENT serial number which it says is invalid and won't let me complete the installation.  The error msg is "Invalid serial number- go back and enter the correct number" . I went back 5 times and entered the correct number and clicked Next and a different serial number from the one I typed appears on the screen and the same invalid serial number msg is repeated.
    I'm stuck. Please help.

Thanks for replying. 1)I 'm embarrassed to say I don't know what a CS suite is.
    2) You helped me uninstall a trial version of Adobe Acrobat 9 pro.
    3) The one I'm having trouble with is one I bought.  It installed itself but then asked me before I could use it wha y serial number was.
    4) I type in the one that's on the back of the box but the screen then shows a different number and says it's invalid.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Installation help?

I have the Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium for Mac. I installed InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and Dreamweaver with no problems about a year ago. I realized that I never installed Acrobat...
On the front cover it says "Install software from these discs first. Then install Acrobat 9 Pro from the Adobe Creative Suite 3.3 with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Upgrade Installer disc provided separately."
I put in the "Adobe Creative Suite 3.3 with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro" CD and downloaded Acrobat. When I got to the serial # part, I used the same serial number as I did for the rest of the Creative Suite, but it says the # is not valid?!?!
I haven't tried calling Adobe yet...my friend tried calling the other day and he was put on hold for 2 hours >.< Any help would be appreciated!

Had you installed another version of Acrobat 9 previously? If so try using the serial # from it.
If not some one else has asked a similar question I have answered today. Try the answer I gave for that question.

  • Acrobat 9 Pro: Licensing issue prevents Acrobat from opening. What's the fix?

OK - or i should say not OK!!
I am running the licensed version of Acrobat 9 Pro on Mac OSX. It is installed on 2 of my MacBook Pro 17" laptops. These machines are respectively 1 month and 14 months old, and both are completely up-to-date software wise. 3 weeks ago Acrobat presented the error message "Licensing for this product has stopped working" and then quits. Searching through the error logs reveals the following: No matching processes were found. Shutting down licensing service ...
I have meticulously, several times worked through all the recommended steps on the Adobe site to address this issue but to no avail. Booting up in safe mode makes no difference. In desperation I re-installed the OS, but to no avail. My several and extended communications with Adobe online help have left me chatting with what sounded like a couple of uni students from India who had insufficient understanding of English, Macs and Acrobat. After 3 weeks my case has been closed twice by Adobe who report that they believe my issue is resolved and have therefore closed my case. Great!!! What's more, occasionally Safari is presented online with a pdf file which it attempts to load, and then crashes.
This issue has seriously affected my ability to work with and create pdf's which in my work as a medical researcher is essential. To add insult to injury, I have wasted too many precious hours attempting to rectify the situation.
The bottom line is caveat emptor (buyer beware). Adobe it seems are committed to making a sale but not to follow-up, service or genuine concern for their customers. When some company produces a less buggy (and cheaper) alternative I will be definitely be buying their wares.
In the interim, if anybody out there can advise me as to how to get Acrobat working again, I would be most grateful.
    Have a great day.
    David

When you reinstalled Acrobat, did you use the uninstaller? Also the uninstaller still leaves some files not removed.
If your using OSX.4.11 go to Find file and type in Acrobat, find any files (not .pdf's) that are in the Library > Application support and Preferences.  Remove all traces of any of these files. Look both in Main Library, and in Library in your User Folder (has name you gave computer when you installed system).
It appears your have a corrupt file.
Many problems can be traced down to corrupt file(s) in Application Support or Preferences. Preference file will regenerate though any customizations you did will be lost.
Have you installed more than the two Copies allowed (by accident)?
Also, if you have tied to a a common Server/Network and both have computers running at same time, might have caused this. (unless you bought at site license if Adobe sells such).

  • Acrobat 9 Pro Extended issues

    7-29-08
    Hello,
I work in an engineering enviromment doing visualization and
animation. I have been an advocate for Acrobat 3D as a better way
to communicate with our customers. We have a large contingent of
Autodesk Mechanical Desktop and Inventor users. I want to add
advanced features to the presentations we make to our customers. So
far it looks like Acrobat 9 Pro Extended does not play nice with
the Inventor 2009 series, neither the Desktop or Inventor. The main
issue is that the section tool creates nice outlines where the
solids are cut that describe the shape made by the cutting plane
but the solid surfaces the plane would make are missing. It looks
like the surface normal that should be there is flipped.
I have looked at the various presentation methods in this new
relase of Acrobat and they are a big step up but I want to be able
to open a PDF to a text document with animations embedded in it and
possibly narrations. I want a tavble of contents that has page
links to illustrations and paragraphs, and 3D files that my
customers can interact with. I see nothing in the training that
    addresses this. Can you help?
Autodesk has it's own design collaboration package that
produces rotatable 3D files. It is called DWF Writer and the output
is more realistic than what Acrobat produces. For my needs should I
abandon Acrobat 3D functions and instead attach 3D DWF's?
    Thanks,
    Randy Van Nostrand

  • Adobe acrobat X pro printing issues

I purchased Adobe Acrobat X pro and it was installed on Windows 7/64 bits PC.
I have issues with printing into PDF file for web page. It seems that if I click "convert to PDF" icon on Explorer, it does not have problem converting a web page into PDF. However, if I right mouse click on "print" on a web site, I get a "postscript error" message on Notepad" instead of generating PDF file. With a different web site, it did create a PDF file, but some characters were totally garbage, totally illegible. But it did create a PDF with no problem at all for a certain web page. I had a similar problem with a previous version of Acrobat Pro, but this time it is more extreme.
Am I not supposed to use right mouse click on "print" in order to generate PDF files at all? Do I have to use "Create PDF-from a web page" menu to successfully generate PDF files, but not on "print" using right mouse? Or is this problem occuring specific to Windows 7/64 bits PC? But Acrobat X pro is supposed to work with 64 bits.
I do not seem to have any problems converting files, such as Word, Excel, or JPEG into PDF files so far....
    Any suggestion is grealy appreciated.
    Henry

We are unable to reproduce the issue at my end. We are able to print fine using both PS and PCL printers. Could you please let me know the exact make of the printer at your end? Also, let me know whether you are using a  PS driver or a PCL driver.
    Thanks,
    Atul

  • Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Installation and Registration Online

    Hi Everyone,
I bought three (3) Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for windows. I installed it into my three (3) computers I choose to input my serial number (because I have one), after I completed installing it I was prompted to register it online. But there was a error saying that I don't have a Internet Connection (please see the image below) it's a weird thing because I do have one.
    Now, my questions are :
    1. How can I solve the problem regarding the Internet Connection thing? My clock and and time zone are correct.
    2. Is there an alternate way to register my software online?
    3. I want to un-install my Adobe Acrobat to my previous computer and install it to my new computer, will the Serial Number be counted? Being said that I installed and input the serial number into my three computers.
I'm afraid that if I install and input serial number to my new computer, the serial number will not work because I used it three times.
Please help me with this matter. Thank you in Advance!

  • Can't install Acrobat X Pro-- installation halts saying that I need Internet Explorer 7.0 or greater

Operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate.
Acrobat 9 Pro is intalled and working.
I'm trying to install a trial version of Acrobat X Pro, but the installation stops early on with the error seen below in this screenshot. Any ideas?

    Acrobat 8 needs IE 6.0 not 4.0
    1) Try installing using MSI file instead of setup.exe.
    2) Enable MSI logging and provide the MSI log. Steps to enable MSI logging can be found here http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/223300
    3) What is the version of shdocvw.dll in "C:\Windows\System32" folder and in "C:\Windows\SysWOW64" (exists only on a 64 bit machine) folder.
