Very slow when using "Save Image as..."
When I try to use "save image as...", firefox almost always hangs and then eventually downloads the file, then returns control to me, whereas before firefox 5, this was instantaneous and I could right click and save on several in succession without the long delay...please help??
As an addendum, the 10.6.8 OS has also been sluggish when I log in or out of my computer (my old PowerBook G4 boots faster after being off). Otherwise, everything else seems normal.

Acrobat 9 pro crashes when using Clear Scan OCR on OSX 10.8 (Mountain Lion)
Just wonder if/when there will be a fix available. Anyone experiencing the same problem?
Yeah, they kind of decided to just write off the issue. I mean "Searchable image" works, but for whatever reason ClearScan decides to just crash the program. I wonder if there is a licensing issue. God only knows how much time I've spent dealing with the licensing software in some of their other products (i.e. Premiere Pro), so I wouldn't be surprised.

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro XI (11.0.08) When performing "Save as" "Reduced file size pdf" Adobe processes for a while then completely stops, and has to close down. Just started doing that today.
I have Windows 8.1, and when I right click on the Windows flag (bottom left), the menu gives me a "Search" option. When I enter "%temp%", it goes to " "my username"/ appdata/temp" which is a list of file 1718 file folders. Many are empty but I did a small sample. Is that the right place to delete? I tried Windows- Disk Clean, but that did not help.

Set Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. When I want to save the file in WORD, EXCEL or esporta file into ... immediately throws an error "save as failed to process this document no file was created".
What's the problem?
Any help in finding a solution is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,Installed AcrobatXI PRO 11.0.09 on seven computers and laptops. Two of them gives an error when you try to save a document in WORD, EXCEL, Power Point, or when exporting to... error: Save failed to process this document. No File was created.
But all good saves in the format of TXT and jpg.
I have uninstalled and restored and re-installed and updated and registry cleaned and removed using the special utility Cleaner Tool for Acrobat, but nothing helps.
On one notebook with Windows 8.1 and Microsoft office 2013, on another laptop with Windows 7 and Microsoft office 2010, the same problem, although there are computers with Windows 7 and Microsoft office 2010 and everything works.
Tell me where to find the problem and how to solve it.
Thank you. -

Acrobat X Pro hangs when making PDF. Using on Windows 7 64. Just started hanging. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Installed update. Once it hangs, must go into crtl, alt, delete to force close.
As a debugging step, try printing to the Adobe PDF printer. If that fails, repeat with print-to-file selected. Assuming the print succeeds, open the file in Distiller to complete the creation of the PDF. If you get the PDF, then check to see if AcroTray is properly working as a background task.

Acrobat x pro crashes when I try to flatten a pdf after using typewriter to insert a date
acrobat x pro crashes when I try to flatten a pdf after using typewriter to insert a date.
Has anybody else seen this problem? Is there a fix?
I wanted to download the demo of acrobat XI but it says the previous version will be removed and deactivate the license. That sucks!Yes it is up to date.
I can use the stamp tool and flatten it after with no problems, but the typewriter tool crashes it upon attempting to flatten. -

Hi Parisian tiger
What happens when you try to open any file from the same location where you are saving the file using Save As command ?
Will it be possible to join a connect session with me ?
Please do let me know about your time availability ?

Hi I have downloaded Acrobat XI Pro and when I try to convert pdf file to word the message says 'error can't sign in'?
IrenedixHi Irenedix,
If you are using Acrobat you can try the suggestions mentioned above.
Are you using the Create PDF service from within Reader to create pdf?
If yes then please check if you are able to login to: https://cloud.acrobat.com/convertpdf with your Adobe ID and able to convert the document to pdf.
If yes then within Reader you can try the following:
Choose Edit > Preferences (Win)
Click 'Online Services' or 'Adobe Online Services' on the left-hand side
Sign out of your Adobe ID and sign back in.

I have purchased and installed acrobat XI pro. When I run it a window pops up saying the the serial number I have provided is valid but a qualifying product cannot be found on the computer
YOu have purchased or been sold an upgrade from Acrobat 9 or 10. You simply need to prove you own that old version using its serial number. be sure to keep both serials forever.

Hi,
So I want to create a new folder within my main user home directory (not the root directory) just for my developer-related files? I can do this from Finder, although it does prompt me for my password to do so. However, when using 'Save As' from any app, the 'New Folder' button is greyed out when I select my user home directory. So I have to create the folder in Finder then Save As.
Is this normal behavior? Is OSX discouraging me from adding things to my user home directory by making it less convenient? Is there a good reason it would be discouraging me from creating new folders there? If not, is there a setting that I can change to allow the creation of new folders from the Save As prompt?
Thanks for your help,
BYou may need to rebuild permissions on your user account. To do this, boot to your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys while booting) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type: ‘resetpassword’ (without the ’s), hit return, and select the admin user. You are not going to reset your password. Click on the icon for your Macs hard drive at the top. From the drop down below it select the user account which is having issues. At the bottom of the window, you'll see an area labeled Restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the reset button there. The process takes a few minutes. When complete, restart.
