Acrobat xi pro will not open two documents at the same time

Hello...
I recently upgraded to Acrobat XI Pro and now when I try to open more than one document, the second one turns into a parallelogram and does not open. The only thing that I can do is close everything out and reopen the documents one at a time.
Does anyone have any suggestions.
I have tried to reinstall and repair, both to no avail.
I am using this on a Windows 7 machine 6GB ram.

Please explain "turns into a parallelogram and will not open". Can't visualise that at all, please explain. A screen shot might be good (but DO NOT EMAIL IT).

32 or 64 bit system? Have you updated Acrobat? Was anything else installed between when it worked and did not? When you say AA 9 will not open, does that mean when you have selected it in the programs list (OK, that is the metro interface if you have not installed the desktop options -- 3rd party)?

Forgive my ignorance but I have never hear of iTunes Document Manager Pro. If you mean Document Manager Pro, i was able to find that. Back to your problem, have you tried opening one of those files in the iOS iWorks apps? Form the quick read that I did about this, .cwk files can be opened by Pages, Numbers or Keynote, depending on what type of document that it is and those files can be read by Document Manager Pro, after properly saving them. I don't see that you can go directly from the .cwk file in Document Manager Pro without converting them first.
I took a very quick look at the app, so I may be a missing something about its capability.

What is the error you are getting when you are trying to open the downloaded file?
Which OS are you using?
Have you tried re-downloading the file from a different browser and checked?

Cannot open two pictures at the same time - computer crashes

I have PSE7 and Windows7. I cannot open two pictures at the same time. When I go to open the second picture it crashes PSE7. Anyone know how I can open two pictures at the same time? What is the fix?

Yes, your method is actually the only workaround for a workplace with PSE7, but it isn't a solution for our enterprise network/domain.
There are different problems:
We have several computers with PSE7 installed. It does not make sense to manually install a local TCP/IP-printer on each PC.
We have many fluctuation in our company which means that the workplaces will often be moved and the PCs will often be replaced.
If the employees are printing over a local printer, our centralized printer monitor solution does not recognise print volumes.
The printers which are defined on our print server have special tray settings and these settings are "linked" to the core business application. Users should not be able to print with other settings, this could end in a chaos.
Finally to work with PSE in our company, there is no other way than upgrade to PSE8...

Not that I'm aware of. What exactly is that you want to achieve? There are tools for scanning media folders and adding any files not listed in the library, or deleting those that no longer exist. There are also ways to use one library for multiple users so that any tag update gets applied for everyone.

It seems that it is not possible to open two movies (.cp) at
the same time with Captivate 1 (well you can run a new Captivate
program an open the second movie) but will it be possible to open

Whilst you cannot open two Captivate movies in the same
instance of Macromedia Captivate, you can get around this by simply
loading another copy of Captivate. I do this all the time and open
the second project file that way.

until i updated to Firefox 7 i got prompted to which profile i want to open every time i open firefox, i am using one profile to play and one for work. i get prompted the first time but not the rest of the time how do i fix it so that i can again run two profiles at the same time

Acrobat 9 Pro will not open for certain users - Not UNC path error

Hello, I have recently installed Acrobat 9 Pro and It runs fine in an alternate account on my machine. When I go to run it on the primary account, It immediately throws an error. I have checked the registry and the account in question does not have its app data on a UNC path. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

This is a user forum, but with Adobe you might find better help here than in other places anyway. Many of the users here have been through most of the problems and if you hit one that has been there you will likely get a good answer. Some of the folks are good at making suggestions to try (as they would try) and others will try to replicate the problem if you give enough info. Many of us are a bit crazy for spending so much time here, but we learn along with helping, an aspect we enjoy - takes the edge off the day! (OK, maybe I am speaking for myself.)

My computer crashed and I had to rebuild it. I am reinstalling all programs on new hard drive. Photoshop CS3 opens. And I have registered it...again. I cannot get Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro to open. It came with CS3. I have been using it for a few years. Can you help?

Is there a way to open two months at the same time in iCal?

I have recurring events for every month in 2009 and want to replicate them in 2010. I do not want to just extend the stop date because there will be subtle changes to the 2010 items that I do not want changed in the 2009 versions. I would ideally like to open Jan 2009 and Jan 2010 next to each other and copy the 2009 event to the 2010 calendar (the appointment copy does not copy the recurrence info which is good). Is there a way to show either two instances of iCal running or 2 month windows?

Hi,
If you activate iCal's Debug menu, you should find it has a 'New Calendar Window' option (Cmd-L). It is a bit of a knack to cutting and pasting correctly between windows.

I have a requirement wherein I am opening a new page when the user presses a link . The information displayed to the user in the new page is Read-Only.To display the reqd info on the new page I pass some parameters encoded in the page call URL.
Besides , displaying the info in the new page , it is imperative that i allow the user to continue performing some transactions in the current page (calling page).
However , i am not able to achieve the same . If I use 'retainAM=Y' in the URL then i pass the Session Control from the calling page to the called page . So that option is out.
Can u suggest something wherein i am able to pop-up a new page to the user , but still not loose the session control from the current page.
It is necessary that the user has both windows open to perform the transactions.

I need to clarify some things . I cannot create an OA Function as you have earlier advised . Lets say its a constraint i have. My scenario is that i have to prepare a HyperLink Declaratively . In that i am currently giving _Blank as the target .
Now i want to open the new page and still allow the user to perform some transactions in the original page while the new page is still open . How should i go abt maintaining my AM from original page.
Following are the scenarios i have already tried out.
1) I have opened the the new page and released my application module in that page . This didnt work .
2) I have tried doing retainAM=N . This also does not work.
3) Using PopUp is not an option since i cant create OAFunction .
Are their any other way . When i open a new window thru a current window , my AM gets transferred to the new window . Hence i am not able to perform any transactions on that the original page . How can u release the AM On click of a link ?

How to open two projects in the same time?

I have over 40 file project. Stadium.
I am in finish of my work, but I forgot about something. I didn't notice that I lost a few keyfreme animation. I didn't realize that in 30 project and I am more over 40 right now. I made a lot of work and I can't go back to 30 project. I don't want to do this from the beginning, so I would like to COPY my keyfremes from project 3o to project 40. To do that I need to have 2 programs opens (to copy keyfremes from 30 project to 40 project). But I can't open two After Effects.
How Can I copy my keyframes on timeline?

Acrobat 8 Pro will not open without other Adobe Suite program running

I am running Acrobat Pro 8 on a new Mac (OS X 10.5.4) and it used to work just fine without CS3 installed. Now, all of a sudden (without me changing anything) it refuses to open a pdf saying that another Adobe Suite program must be open for acrobat to run. Don't have any other programs installed to open, really annoying because I want to read pdfs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is odd. Normally you get that message if, and only if, Creative
Suite is installed. In the case where Creative Suite is installed, you
have to run some other CS application, once, to get the licensing
done.
Maybe someone installed a demo of CS3, something like that. Check for
other Creative Suite applications, even if they weren't expected.
