Acrobat XI quit working.  I uninstalled it then went to Creative Cloud to reinstall CC failed to reinstall Error code 50  help

Thanks for your help.  I finally just called Adobe and they fixed it
quickly by doing stuff that was clearly over this old man's head.

  • Windows 7 with iTunes 10.5 keeps telling me iTunes quit working, looking for solution, then tells me Windows will let me know when they find a solution. Help, my phone needa to be synched.

Windows 7 with iTunes 10.5 loaded and working until I try to update apps or synch my iPhone 4. Windows says iTunes quit working and is looking for solution, then no solution but they tell me if they find one.

    Hi Lorheak,
thanks for the quick reply. I had the same idea already yesterday. I use Norton Internet Security for a long time now without any problems. I think this a Apple or Microsoft problem, because the popup window which appear come from Windows DEP. I got no message from the firewall with any problem. I check the log files from Norton and Windows already but find nothing. This is a very strange problem. In the past I have had a lot of other problems with iTunes upgrades. Everytime I accept the installation of the newest version I got errors regarding missing "msi" files.

    Yes.
    Download Photoshop Elements products | 13, 12, 11, 10
However, the real issue is why the program is not working. Did you install anything recently?
When you tried to re-install from the disk, did you shut off the antivirus program temporarily?
Have you tried a system restore to a point in time when the program was working properly?

    Hi meliniesittigLCSW,
Where are you seeing that message? Do you already have Acrobat installed? If not, you can install it by following the instructions in this document: Creative Cloud Help | Install, update, or uninstall apps

  • How do I uninstall creative cloud on my old laptop and  reinstall creative cloud on my new laptop?

How do I uninstall creative cloud on my old laptop and  reinstall creative cloud on my new laptop?

There is no need to uninstall on the old machine, but you can sign out thru the CC Manager if you like and then uninstall like you would any other software (depends on your operating system).
To install on the new machine repeat what you did originally with the old machine...
Download/install the desktop application, sign in, install the subscription application(s).

  • I have installed Creative Cloud Desktop but it fails to load. The icon shows up in the bar at the top right but then it just disappears. I am running Yosemite on a MacBook Pro.

I downloaded and installed Creative Cloud Installer and installed the Creative Cloud desktop on my MacBook Pro running Yosemite. The Creative Cloud desktop tries to install when the system starts and the icon actually shows in the top bar briefly and then disappears shortly after it shows up so it is obviously failing to load. I have tried multiple times to no avail.

do you mean in my system library? or where can I find it?

Yes, if you're a Cloud subscriber and are running a 64 bit operating system.

I have exhausted the "try this" stuff that I can find.  Any other ideas would be appreciated.  I would also like to know what some alternative applications might be.  This trial does not give me confidence in Adobe's product.

I saw a similar question deeper into the forum right after I posted.  I followed the fix steps and it took care of the problem.
Thanks for getting back to me.  I am good to go.

  • Does Acrobat XI Pro support the feature of syncing settings in Creative Cloud?

Does Acrobat XI Pro support the feature of syncing settings in Creative Cloud? I downloaded this software from my Creative Cloud account but I do not find the sync settings option in it. Is this feature not available?

    No it doesn't.
Acrobat isn't part of the Creative Cloud product range, it is included in the CC subscription packages but it doesn't include features of the "... CC" products such as Sync or Typekit.

  • Uninstalling a single app from creative cloud

I am trying to uninstall a single app from creative cloud, specifically Photoshop CS6, however the only items listed in Add/Remove Programs is Creative Cloud. I am using Windows 8.1 and all the apps are listed under the Creative Cloud application.  Is their a repair application or some other method to uninstall the unwanted apps.

Alltehscreennamesareunava do you use some type of registry cleaner or system optimizer which may have already removed the entry?  Also to confirm you are looking in Programs and Features and not Add/Remove Programs?
I would also recommend reviewing CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html which discusses similar behavior to what you are currently experiencing.

  • Sudden increase in Acrobat X quits working altogether

In the past 2 weeks I have had 5 PCs with Acrobat X installed just quit working.By quit working I mean the user calls and says Acrobat wont do anything.  Click the desktop icon, Acrobat wont launch.  Try to pritn to PDF, nothing happens.  Uninstall / reinstall seems to resolve the issue.  But its really wierd that so many would misbehave at the same time in the same manner.  Anyone else having issues?

I've had the same issue twice on both of my computers. Uninstall/reinstall takes care of it. I have a feeling it has something to do with Adobe updates.

  • Itunes quit working,  I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still will not load

Itunes worked great for about a year,  Then all of a sudden it quit working (update maybe?)
when I hit the icon it swirls for a second then nothing   I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it and still nothing
    Ideas

    Reapir your QuickTime.
Control Panel > Programs n Features > highlight QuickTime, click CHANGE then REPAIR.

  • Do I need to uninstall Photoshop CS5 to get creative cloud to work?

I've done almost everything on the list of things to do to get the blue spinning wheel to go away when I click on the apps. One of the options says to uninstall Creative Suite 5 and Elements 11 applications. Does that include Photoshop CS5? Not going to do that if that is the case. The other option is to delete the entire contents of the OOBE Folder which then says it will make Creative Cloud upload slower, which doesn't sound like a great option. This whole creative cloud experience has been terrible and I want it to stop. Thanks

CS versions have nothing to do with CC, neither technically nor in terms of licensing. While it is imaginable that the activation systems collide, that's like a one in a million chance. Therefore uninstalling CS% probably would not fix anything. the rest we cannot know. you have not provided any system information or other useful technical details.

  • Help needed: PS CC2014 Update failed, then after uninstalling reinstall failed. Initial error code U44M1I210 (when update failed), now error -55 (reinstall fail)

I tried to update Photoshop CC 2014, but it failed at 75%, with error code U44M1I210. After restarting my system, it still failed so I uninstalled the app, per this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-u44m1i210-installing-updates-ccm.html
Now the reinstall won't complete, and I'm getting error -55. The one other article that seemed relevant looks like the person had to uninstall and reinstall all his Adobe software after creating a new admin account on his computer (When I try to update I get an U44M1I210 error message, "Unable to extract the downloaded files" - help please, applies to latest Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop CC), and I'm hoping there is a better solution than the hours that will involve.
    Running on OSX 10.7.5.
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
