Acrobat XI save as is no longer defaulting to the previous files location

As the title says Acrobat XI used to default to the location of the last file I saved when using 'save as'. This was extremely useful as I deal with multiple email attachments that go to similar directories that can be easily changed in the address bar in 'save as'. However after running an update for Acrobat this no longer happens and 'save as' defaults to Outlook's temporary internet files folder. Does anyone know how to undo this?

I was unable to replicate the issue with Outlook 2013 and Acrobat 11.0.09 on Windows 7-64 Bit.

If you used system cache cleaning software it can mess up Apple software. Stop using such software. Remove Mackeeper if present using these directions:

If you started typing something in the search field of the System Preferences, it might be hiding. Quit and reopen System Preferences to be sure it isn't hiding because it is searching for another panel.
Lastly, if none of the above apply, go to your hard drive -> System -> Library -> PreferencesPanes folder and see if it is hiding there. If it isn't, get your 10.5 installer disc that installed 10.5 on your Mac, and restore it with http://www.charlessoft.com/ 's Pacifist, and then run the 10.5.8 combo update to ensure the version matches the operating system.

Regions no longer default to the "TrackNames" ??

Regions no longer default to the "TrackNames"....instead they get the "Instrument Names".........with VSL these are super-long confusing names.....how do I change it back to the behaviour in 7.1.0?

and you can also choose to have the instruments colors to region as well

In the previous versions of Firefox when you went to you Bookmarks menu it gave you the options to either Bookmark This Page 'command' + 'D', Subscribe to this Page, Bookmark All Tabs 'up-arrow-key' + 'command' + 'D', and Organize Bookmarks 'up-arrow-key' + 'command' + 'B' however in the newest version of Firefox there is no Bookmark All Tabs so you can bookmark all the tabs that you have up in one window at a time. So I need to know if it is possible that the feature is now in a different place, is gone altogether, or if you can get that feature another way?
For me personally and my work I go through hundreds of web pages a day and save around half of those so it is imperative that I be able to bookmark more then one tab at a time because I can't be bothered to bookmark every single page separately and then go through hundreds of tabs in my Unsorted bookmarks in order to sort those bookmarks. It is simple inconvenient to sort every bookmark individually that is why the previous version of Firefox with the Bookmark All Tabs button was superior in its convenience.

The 2 year old fix for changing temp files is no longer valid, I need to change the temp file location in the latest firefox.

In 3.6.3 I'm unable to find the parent cache to change where the temp files are located. I have an SSD drive, and I need to get the temp file off, and onto my platter drive. I have read the previous fix of about:config and changing the parent cache location, but it no longer seems to be there. I'm unable to locate anything relating to my SSD drive location in about:config.

Unfortunately, it appears that what I wrote about not being able to find the location IN about:config of the cache to change it from my C: drive to a different location, was mildly misunderstood that I didn't know how to get into about:config.
The location of browser.cache.disk.parent_directory does not currently exist in 3.6.3. I'm assuming it's under a different location. Also using the simple string of "cache" lists several options, but none of them appear to be where firefox is currently dumping the temp files onto my C:
I merely need to know how to switch the temp file location from 1 drive, to another. Not downloads, the temp file.

Employees has the same cost center long text as the previous record

How can I get a new PDF I save to default to the current PDF location in Acrobat XI

When I open a PDF, make edits, and then save, it defaults to the last folder where I saved a PDF. How can I make it default to the folder where I opened the current PDF I'm working on? Acrobat 11.0.0 in Win 7 64.

That's not what my question was about, it's about the default location which is screwed up, but I have figured out that the problem was fixed in an update and my enterprise version of Acrobat doesn't update (go figure, they are only getting paid to supply this to 30K+ employees!) I will mark this as done.

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7 or later: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

I'm using MVC C # to load the file and export in stream that converts PDF to display in the browser.
To create the file I use Crystal Reports for VS2013 and within the own VS I create the rpt file
Looking into this rpt the way for the much-talked 'default.css' you see in the internet research.

Adobe Acrobat DC - Save As failed to process this document. No file was created

When exporting a pdf to any of the file formats in the Export Menu (Microsoft Word, Spreadsheet, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc) except for the Image format, the error mentioned in this title comes up and no file is created.
This has happened to me since the XI version and was hoping that with the update to DC this issue would have been solved by now, since there is no posted solution anywhere at all.
I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything, even tried creating PDF/X compatible files and executing various Preflight tasks as well. This happens with every file, no exception, from the most basic one-liners with text only to every other document I have attempted to export.
Please help, apparently the only remaining alternative would be to completely format the hard drive an reinstall everything from scratch (not even from a Time-Machine or comparable backup).

Files are automatically saved to your online account when you use the Acrobat.com online services. However, you can most certainly download the files to your computer, by selecting them at https://cloud.acrobat.com/files, and then clicking the Download icon.

I would like for Firefox 4 Beta to save my session like it did in the previous version, how do I set this up?

Normally when I would close Firefox 3 I would be asked if I wanted to save my session, now in 4 Beta it simply warns me about closing multiple tabs, but I want to save my session.

The solution of mark2 ALWAYS save your session, this one is asking you, like for firefox 3.6
Go to 'about:config', then search for 'browser.showQuitWarning' and set it to 'true'.

if that fails, uninstall, clean (if a pc, Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs) and reinstall.

KDE Default Window Manager Setting File Location

I recently switched KDE to use Awesome instead of Kwin via the "Default Applications" configuration dialog. Unfortunately, using the same dialog to switch back to Kwin gives me a message stating that it can't start Kwin and it immediately reverts the setting back to Awesome.
I imagine somewhere under ~.kde4/share/config/ is a file that will allow me to select the window manager by hand, but I haven't been able to find it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Default configuration issue - scratch file location (win7 64)

I have installed the public beta successfully, but the first attempt to run has failed: I got an error message stating that Photoshop does not have access rights for the scratch file or the scratch file is used by another application.
Not sure if this is common practice, but my installation requires administrator account to create files in the root directory of the system drive (Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, SP1). I have managed to start CS6 by selecting "Run as Administrator" and then reconfigured it to create scratch file on a different drive. From then on all is good so far.
Suggested ways of handling this issue:
- make the location of the scratch file an installation parameter and test whether the file can be created
- provide the location of the file in the error message: as is, it requires a bit of guesswork which may be too much for the new users
