Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

It just didn't occur to me to do so.
My intent was to report that there was at least one other user encountering a similar problem. It occurred to me that Adobe might be interested in determining the scale of a problem which causes one of their best known products to fail to run quite so completely after a clean install
I also see that I misreported the OS I'm running - its Windows 8.
If there is further information I can provide which might be helpful in determining a solution, if someone could be specific about what would be helpful, then I will try to respond appropriately.

The X230 has Intel HD 4000 graphics support built in to the processor. Windows was pretty stubborn about refusing driver updates, but I just managed to get drivers from the Intel site to install and Photoshop is now running, so hopefully I need not try your patience any further.
In case anyone else has a similar problem and stumbles on this the way to install the driver that worked was to:
- download the zip version of the generic driver from Intel
- use the 'have disk' option in the windows dialog to install the driver - other paths in the UI did not work with windows refusing to install the driver.

Within Firefox and websites visited within Firefox, whenever I try to print using my Lexmark Z605 printer, the error message "Cannot load library LXBCPRP.DLL, using default '' appears. The printer works fine from other programs and indeed worked fine from within versions of Firefox before 4.0.1, and I have even updated drivers from Lexmark, but the problem persists.

Thanks for your time, but I maintain my position. There has been no problem with my printer from purchase (5+ years ago) until Firefox 4, in particular no problem with Firefox 3.x. I have no problem with ANY other applications I use now and have run through them all to check.
Firefox 4.0.1 remains the prime suspect, but I am willing to try any fix that the wonderful members of Firefox community may care to suggest.

Well mine is now ok.
I noticed that my iPhoto library (on an external disk) was not allowing write access and the drive had become locked, so to test, I migrated my library back to the main drive and set iPhoto to open that as the main library. I performed a sync with iTunes and all has gone trough fine.
Makes me happpy, as my next step was to factory reset the phone.

Are you running a Managed or a Referenced Library?
A Managed Library, is the default setting, and iPhoto copies files into the iPhoto Library when Importing. The files are then stored in the Library package
A Referenced Library is when iPhoto is NOT copying the files into the iPhoto Library when importing because you made a change at iPhoto -> Preferences -> Advanced. (You unchecked the option to copy files into the Library on import) The files are then stored where ever you put them and not in the Library package. In this scenario you are responsible for the File Management.

I called tech support that switched me to customer care and after over half an hour on the phone, they told me to look it up in the forums. You need to update your starter edition 3.0 to a 3.2 edition. Go to www.adobe.com, click on "Downloads" then "updates", continue to look under "Product updates" and scroll down to "Photoshop Elements". Now you need to download the Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2. This update will automatically remove your 3.0 edition, and your photos will be accessible in the 3.2 edition. Now you can register again. Good Luck!

Please help me figure this out. I'm very unhappy at the moment. I'm fustrated and don't have any idea how to revert to the original version before the update was done on iMovie 10. I also have Jolly's problem. I found the iMovie 9.0.9 folder and tried to launch the older version of iMove. It would not launch. I removed all of the iMovie preferences from the Preferences folder, removed iMove 10 from the applications folder, and restarted my Mac. iMove 9.0.9 still won't launch and I can't access my videos created with the older version of iMovie. Is there a way to uninstall iMovie 10 and reinstall iMovie 9.0.9?

Is there any indication of the specific folder you are having problems with. Are you logged in as the administrator (or the same as when you installed) and have anti-virus disabled during the update? You might also try the updates from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows.
