    ****!!!!!!!!!!!! I've spent 120 hours in **** because it's 10.4.10?
    OK, I buy it.
I just tried to install 104.9 after downloading from Apple site (hard to find).
My G5 main drive wasn't approved for installation.
Do I have to reninstall 10.4.6 (from disc that I got last week), and then download each install up to 9? (7...8...) I ask because on apple download page it said I needed OS 0.4.8 to intall .9, when I have .10.
This is funky, but maybe I see light at the end of the tunnel?

  • Firefox 15.0.1 Constant Crashing Windows 7 64bit

I am running Windows 7 64bit, Firefox 15.0.1 and all my addons are up to date. I have two extensions installed - AVG Do Not Track and Adblock. I have eight pluggins installed and three are normally disabled - Adobe Acrobat10.1.4.38, Google Update 1.3.21.115(Disabled), Java Deployment Toolkit 7.0.70.10 10.7.2.10, Java(TM) Platform SE 7 U7 10.7.2.10, Microsoft Office 2010 14.0.4761.1000(Disabled), Microsoft Office 2010 14.0.4730.1010(Disabled), Picasa 3.0.0.0, Shockwave Flash 11.4.402.278. I do not want to roll back the display driver because it fixed a display issue that caused a distortion in my monitor. So what are my options? Is it even the display driver? I have included my crash reports to assist in troubleshooting the issue.

Hope I am not TOO hostile in my reply here but you have to understand I am frazzled after trying to resolve this issue for 4 days now... constant crashing on 15.0.1 and on 14.XX.X.
I thought I might find an answer here, but I am amazed to see people continue to reference articles that require you to have FF '''RUNNING''' in order to perform any troubleshooting or analysis.
Come on guys... READ the posts before you reference an article that is moot because it requires FF to work in order to follow it! if we could get it stable enough to run... the issue would e easier to localize and identify!

  • Issues after downgrading from Acrobat X Pro to 9.5.2 Pro

Hello, I have Adobe Acrobat 9.5.2 Pro and decided to install Acrobat 10.0 Pro trial. When the trial expired, I decided that I didn't want to purchase it and have since been using Acrobat 9.5.2 Pro; however, I've encountered two errors that I have not been able to resolve.
Problem #1: In Word, I am no longer able to  go to "file" and choose "print to PDF" because I get this message: "Windows can no longer find C:\ProgramFiles\Adobe\Acrobat10.0\Acrobat\AcroTray.exe" By the way, the Adobe 10.0 folder isn't there anymore because I uninstalled 10.0 and ran a cleaner, and acrotray.exe is located at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\acrotray.exe
Problem #2: If I have PDFs saved to my desktop, I can no longer highlight more than two at a time, right click, and select merge files into one PDF. Similarly, word documents saved to my desktop cannot be converted to PDF by right clicking either.
What I have tried: uninstalling 10.0, repairing Acrobat 9.5.2, running a cleaner to remove 10.0
I would sincerely appreciate to fix this error because uninstalling and reinstalling can only be done by one person here where I work and that person is out for a long time :\

Sorry to hear about the trouble you've had.
I'd recommend running the Acrobat Cleaner tool to remove by Acrobat 9 and X from your system: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
After you've removed both of them, restart your computer, install Acrobat 9.0 from your disc and begin the process of patching it back up to 9.5.2.
I realize the patch process for going from 9.0.0 to 9.5.2 is......time-consuming.  You can shorten it quite a bit by skipping the restarts between each version and only restarting after the last patch.
You can download the patches here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows

  • Acrobat 10 pro doesn't ask for validation code

installing acrobat10 pro on imac with 10.8.  When I try to open first time it doesn't ask for validation code. Application opens for a few seconds then crashes.I've tried installing 3 times with same results. What am I missing?

I thought I was buying the complete suite but it came as CS and Acrobat as separate discs, but I found a fix on one of the forums. I had to throw away an adobe folder that held the registration for CS and then it asked for Acrobat registration. Apparently I need to install Acrobat before CS?
    Thanks for your response.

  • Update acrobat 7 pro to acrobat X

    Hello,
I bought Acrobat 7 professionnal and later the upgrade to Acrobat X Pro.
    no problem.
Therefore, the update  are not working : I can read :
    "Adobe\Acrobat10.0\Acrobat\JP2KLIB.dll."
so, can you help me ?
    Many thanks
    Michel SABOUL.

I assume you managed to install Acrobat X ok, but now it doesn't work.
What happens? Exactly -- just the name "Adobe\Acrobat10.0\Acrobat\JP2KLIB.dll." doesn't tell us your problem.

  • Adobe Customization Wizard X issue PDF icon and disable display in browser after installation

I have used the Adobe Customization Wizard X wizard to setup a .MTS files for the custom install. When this is installed using SCCM 2012 with command (msiexec /q /i "\\Server\Share\AcroRead.msi" TRANSFORMS="\\Server\Share\AcroRead.mst") this all works fine but all PDFs on the machine that gets this deployment (Windows 7 x64 or Windows XP x86) the icons for the .pdf don't show the Adobe icon they show the generic Windows icon when the program is not assigned but still work to launch Adobe reader. I have tried to unistall and reinstall but still the same resaults. If I install the .msi with no .mst the icon shows up just fine. So it has to be something with when you use the customization wizard or the .mst. I have also tried assigning .PDF to another program and the icon changes to that program and assign it back and no icon. Also if I set Display PDF in browser = Disabled this setting does not stick. I have just installed via Adobe not using SCCM via command line I get the same resaults.
I have only selected these customizations:
         Installation Options:
    Silently (No interface)
    Suppress reboot
         Shortcuts
    No desktop Icon
           EULA
Suppress display of End User License Agreement (EULA)
         Online Features
    Disable all updates
Disable Help > Purchases Adobe Acrobat
    Disable Product Improvement Program
Display PDF in browser = Disabled
    Disabled  All Acrobat.com access

    Hi Ben,
Here's what I am trying to accomplish I had Acrobat Standard v10.1.4 scripted so I can deploy it to a Citrix Server (XENAPP6) via SCCM 2007 I have at least 50 licenses of Acrobat Standard deployed to 50 users. All of our Citrix Servers have Adobe Reader v10.* installed as our default pdf viewer. There are other apps that are deployed to this Citrix Server and I wanted to make sure that pdf files open on Adobe Reader instead of Acrobat Standard.
I had to change the installer tables directly so I don't have to get it re-scripted to use this command line. Is it a best practice not to change the isntaller table?
    msiexec /i "\\source\Acrobat10\AcroStan.msi" transforms="\\source\Acrobat10\AcroStan.mst" LEAVE_PDFOWNERSHIP=”YES” /qb /norestart
Thanks a lot for your help I'm looking forward to hear from you.
    Regards,
    William

  • Adobe Customization Wizard X doesn't set Adobe Reader X to be default when customizing Acrobat X

I've recently started working with Adobe Customization Wizard X.
I've got Adobe Reader X customized and it's already installed all computers. Now, I'm working on customizing Adobe Acrobat X. During the customization, I only have the following 2 options:
    1. Installer will decide which product will be the default
    2. Make Acrobat the default PDF viewer
Choosing the 1st option, makes Acrobat as the default PDF viewer. In other words, I don't get an option to keep Adobe Reader X as the default on the existing computer.
Found a blog in Adobe site which suggests running Adobe Reader installation again after Acrobat is installed. Although it works, it just isn't a good solution (my opinion).
    http://blogs.adobe.com/pdfitmatters/2011/03/installing-acrobat-x-and-reader-x-on-the-same- machine.html
Can you advise what're the registry setting that I can set during the Acrobat X customization so that it doesn't become the default PDF viewer.
    Regards,
    Parvez

  • Acrobat Pro X, Not all fill in text prints, help!!

    I am new to Acrobat.
My problem is a fillable form that only prints the keyed in text does not always print the text. All keyable fields are marked visable but in print preview the keyed text does not show and does not print.
    I really need help.
    Thanks in advance.

Regarding the Tracker question, in Acrobat X you can open any PDF file and click Comment pane (shown in Acrobat on right hand side) and go to Review accordion. You will find a 'Track Reviews' option. In Acrobat 10.1, an option has been added to launch Tracker from View menu without the need to open any PDF. You can update to Acrobat10.1 from Adobe web site.
For your form disribution problem, you need to allow full access to AdobeResourceSynchronizer to be able to fetch responses automatically. Can you please try this:
    1. Kill AdobeResourceSynchronizer from activity monitor and close Acrobat as well
    2. From Keychain access, delete 'services.acrobat.com'
    3. Launch Acrobat->Tracker and select your distributed form
    4. Click on View Responses on RHS pane in tracker
    5. If prompted for acrobat.com credentials, enter them and sign in
    6. If prompted for allowing AdobeResourceSynchronizer to store information in keychain, choose 'Always Allow'
Does it work now? Are you able to see all responses?

  • Close Acrobat Reader in Application

    Hi,
I have an application which among other things prints a PDF file from within.
I run adobe reader with /h and /t options to run it in a minimized window and print the document automatically.
The problem is that the Adobe window stays open. I can't find an option to close it when the printing of the document is finished.
Is there a way to do it?
    Thanks in advance.
    Col.

    Hi ColDouglass,
You can display and print a PDF file with Acrobat and Adobe Reader from the command line. These commands are unsupported, but have worked for some developers. There is no documentation for these commands other than what is listed here: http://help.adobe.com/livedocs/acrobat_sdk/10/Acrobat10_HTMLHelp/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/htm l/wwhelp.htm?context=Acrobat10…
In command line printing approach using Acrobat/ Reader to print the PDF, the Adobe Reader can print a PDF from a command line but it has some drawbacks. The most important drawback is that the Reader does not close itself after printing the PDF.

  • Windows cannot find AcroTray.exe

    Hi,
I'm using adobe acrobat pro 9 and started getting an error message everytime I attempt to create a pdf file using ms office whether it be in word, excel, or even in ms project
    The error message is:
    Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat10.0\Acrobat\AcroTray.exe'
Make sure you  typed the name correctly, and try again.
This just started to happen last week after using acrobat pro for the last two years with no problems.
I am using windows 7 home edition.
Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated as I've had no success
    Garry

I would run Help>Repair. Then do the updates to AA9 also. That may repair the problem. As suggested, it looks like the AA X trial was installed and then removed. One of the problems of removing a version of Acrobat is that it often breaks the remaining versions. Hopefully, a repair will do the job.
However, you should be able to find AcroTray in the AA 9 folder also. Check the startup folder to be sure that is the version that is being called. AcroTray should be running in the background to enable PDF creation.

Did you make sure that the systems where you have this issue do have Acrobat 10.x installed.
Please make sure that you did not use AIP (Admin Install Point) to install Acrobat on those systems.
If you use AIP, essentially you installed 10.1.3, but Acrobat 10.1.4 patch is looking for 10.0.0
    Hope it helps.

    Bedankt alvast!

    Hi leond66,
CS6 Suite contains Acrobat10 and you have purchased a STE version of Acrobat 11.
So I don't see how this will affect other CS6 software's other than Acrobat.
You can simply uninstall Acrobat 10 and install Acrobat 11.
Also during the installation of A11 the installer will prompt if you want to uninstall A10.
Please let me know more details of the issue you are facing for us to help you.

Looks like the Microsoft Visual C++ had corrupted. Removed Adobe and C++, rebooted machine and installed Adobe again and is now working with no error.
