AcroRd32.exe
After downloading the latest update, I now get and error that says AcroRd32.exe-Application error. How can I fix this?
I've already downloaded other free pdf readers.
Just a matter of time.

when i open reader two AcroRd32.exe*32 processes open and do not close after closing the reader. i have seen 10 AcroRd31.exe*32 processes open. do I have an undetectable virus or is the software just poorly written and tested. I am running Windows 7 premium that is fully up to date and the reader is up to date also. i have even deleted reader and reinstalled it.
All 8 Processors activity jumps really high while AcroRd.exe*32 is running with no pdf documents open and as soon as i end the processes the processor activity goes down to near 0 according to the performance tab in task manager. My fan also kicks on because of all the heat from the processor.open acrord32.exe and go to edit, preferences, internet, and then uncheck "Allow fast web view" and "allow speculative downloading in the background". This will save your processor and keep your system from locking up from all of the acrord32.exe processes running.

I have re-installed Adobe Reader on to my Windows 7 PC. When I open a PDF I was getting an error message containing . . . .Acrord32.exe
I now cannot open any PDF's and Adobe seems unresponsive. I have tried to follow a step by step guide on how to fix this but Adobe won't stay open long enough for me to complete the steps. When I open Adobe it stays open for a matter of seconds then minimises to the task bar and when I click on it again I can't do anything with it and have to close it via task manager
Please help!?Disabling Protected Mode should fix the problem. But since you cannot even open Adobe Reader by itself, you need to do it via the Windows registry. If you tell me your installed Reader version, I can give you a registry script to do that.

"AcroRd32.exe /t" print a PDF document ( print only, no need to open )
I'm using the following command to print a PDF document:
"D:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" /t "D:\R104-20071025165656.pdf" "\\192.168.0.4\hp" "hp LaserJet 1000" "\\192.168.0.4\hp"
Now it works fine! But I have more request:
I want a command that only send the file to printer and no need to open the PDF file on local system.
So anybody can help me?
Thanks in advance!Dear Pedja,
My program is a desktop application, no a web application. It's not the same as you. And hope the following codes can help you :)
private void exportReportToPrinter(JasperPrint jasperPrint,int copyNum, String printerName, MediaSizeName mediaSizeName) throws Exception
// create the print service exporter so that we can print to a named
// printer
JRPrintServiceExporter exporter = new JRPrintServiceExporter();
// set the report to print
exporter.setParameter(JRPrintServiceExporterParameter.JASPER_PRINT, jasperPrint);
// tell the exporter to print 1 copy on A4 paper
PrintRequestAttributeSet aset = new HashPrintRequestAttributeSet();
aset.add(new Copies(copyNum));
aset.add(mediaSizeName);
exporter.setParameter(JRPrintServiceExporterParameter.PRINT_REQUEST_ATTRIBUTE_SET, aset);
// let the exporter know which printer we want to print on
PrintServiceAttributeSet serviceAttributeSet = new HashPrintServiceAttributeSet();
serviceAttributeSet.add(new PrinterName(printerName, null));
exporter.setParameter(JRPrintServiceExporterParameter.PRINT_SERVICE_ATTRIBUTE_SET, serviceAttributeSet);
// print it
exporter.exportReport();

AcroRd32.exe will not shut down when shutting down computer.
Windows 7. Adobe Reader XI Ver. 11.0.06
Get message that AcroRd32.exe is preventing computer from shutting down.
I think this started when the .06 upgrade was installed, but not sure.Thanks for the reply Pat,
Looking at the processes, when I open Acrobat reader it opens 2 ArcoRd32.exe *32. I use Opera Browser and I noticed that it opens 2 ArcoRd32.exe *32 also. If I close the Acrobat Reader, 2 of the ArcoRd32's drop but 2 stay open, the ones opened with the Opera Browser continue to run.
I did a search on the web and found out that this is an add-on to the browser (Internet Explorer, Opera, Firefox and Safari) and it allows you to open PDF files directly in the browser. It also stated that there can be a problem of ArcoRd32 not closing and it instructs you to go to the Task Manager and end the process, just as you had stated.
At least I know what the problem is now and I can deal with it.
Thanks again for you assistance with this situation. I have been VERY SATISFIED with your assistance. You have been very professional and I really appreciate it.

Hi,
Our application (using MS technologies) use acrord32.exe to open a password protected PDF, Convert it to TIF file and send it for faxing.
Please refer below code snippet
System.Diagnostics.Process proc;
proc = new System.Diagnostics.Process();
proc.EnableRaisingEvents = false;
proc.StartInfo.FileName = "AcroRd32.exe";
proc.StartInfo.Arguments = "/t " + sSourcePath + " " + sPrinterName + " " + sDriverName + " " + sPortName;
try
proc.Start();
catch { }
Application.DoEvents();
The above combination works fine for office 2003 and "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer". I am able to convert the PDF file to TIF and send it to fax.
But now since for upgarding to 2007 and "Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 Document Writer" it does convert to PDF but prompts to save TIF file.
I am not sure whats causing to the issue. Is it AcroRd32.exe has compatibility issue with office 2007 and "Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 Document Writer"
Please Help.Hi,
I must be mistaken. I think it's the one I had before. I did try to download a trial version of a different one but I have Hughesnet and I'm rural so my download speed is slow and it might have cut off before completion. But, I still have a problem with this box error problem each time I try to bring it (the Adobe Reader XI) up. In fact, the last time I clicked on it to even bring the program up the error box popped up before it even appeared. Don't know what is going on.
I'm thinking about purchasing one of the Adobe products that will allow me to convert a pdf to a Word document (all of them) and also a Word doc to a pdf. I don't care if it's online or in my computer---I just need ease of use, simple editing capability, and good quality for submission of book manuscripts. Any preferences?
I'd appreciate any suggestions. I've been studying them but they blur together.
Thanks! -
Just download Adobe Reader XI for windows 8.1, it doesn't work. My OS is Windows 8.1 64-bits. Two dialogues appear as 1.) AcroRd32.exe Error, The instruction at 0x9068675f reference memory at 0x9068675f. The memory could not be written. Click on OK to terminate the program. 2.) Adobe Reader ha stopped working, a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution ia available.
What is the Reader XI version you installed?
Does this also happen when you open Reader by itself? If not, can you try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)]. -

Even I try to disable the protected mode at startup, I still get the aboe error randomly.
Any advice on this.Sorry for the confusion. Please try the following steps:
1. Launch Notepad and type in following:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.exe]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.exe]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.exe\OpenWithList]

Select All Files in the Save as type list, and then type C:\Exe.reg in the File name box.
Select Unicode in the Encoding list. Save it and remember the file location.
4. Open My Computer and double click on the C: icon

We installed the Acrobat Reader 11.0.09 on Citrix enable Windows 2008 server a month ago , it was working. starting from this weeke we are receiveing error mesaage AcroRD32.exe - application error (Instruction at 0x...bad8 bad referenced memory at 0x....bad8 The memory could not be written Click ok to terminate the program)
Instruction at 0x...bad8 bad referenced memory at 0x....bad8

Are you still facing this issue? It seems to be conflict to me.
Are you using any third party plugins with Acrobat? Try disabling and to use it again.

Slow startup - can we pre-load AcroRd32.exe?
Hi all, my users click on a PDF link and Acrobat 6.0 begins to launch within the IE browser. However, the launch slows down and sometimes fails when loading all the Acrobat plug-ins (api files).
Now, when the user closes the browser, the AcroRd32.exe process still runs in the background. The next time they click on a PDF document link, the document loads lightning fast.
Question- is there a way to pre-load Acrobat when the user boots up or launches IE?
Thanks in advanceYes, you might be able to execute a script that launced Reader when IE initializes but why would you want to do that? You run the risk of multiple hidden instances of Reader running in the background and eating up your system resources. Your users will still get the EULA to OK when you launch Reader silently too. Oh well... here is the switch to do it anyway. You are responsible for scripting it.

after upgrading from (10) to latest version of adobe reader xi (11.0) keeps crashing
a) During windows boot: acrord32.exe Ausnahme Unbekannter Softwarefehler (0xc0000409)
b) after attempting to open a .pdf
the file might open, but acrord32.exe Ausnahme Unbekannter Softwarefehler (0xc0000409) error message
keeps returning every few minutes
Windows XP SP3 adobe reader xi (11.0) updated to 11.0.01No, adobe acrobat reader is not in the startup list, but a filemanager, displaying a directory containing .pdf's.
In the meantime I have de- and reinstalled it multiple times, last running ccleaner v3.27
which found dozends of ancient acrobat 7.0, 9.0, 10.0 entries | files to be removed.
Unfortunate the error message still appears attempting to open a .pdf
or just browsing a directory with .pdf's
Last I noted an error message pointing to a .exe file which cannot be accessed on a synced directory of our fileserver,
since I was not aware my directories are synced, I shall talk to our administrators... -
AcroRd32.exe Goes to High CPU After Reader is Closed
When I close Acrobat reader, the process AcroRd32.exe jumps up to high CPU usage, about 25% and stays there. If there are several adobe reader windows open, this occurs upon closing the last reader window. If I open reader again, then close, I get another stale AcroRd32.exe process and another +25% CPU usage, etc. I have to kill the processes in Win7 task manager.
I've tried downgrading from version 11 to version 10, with no success. I've tried suggestions from this forum and other sites, such as
edit->preferences->general, uncheck "show me messages...", check "don't show me messages..."
edit->preferences->internet, uncheck "allow fast web viewing", uncheck "allow speculative downloading..."
But no luck. Still happening.
It hasn't always been this way. I suspect some interaction with a windows or browser update within the past month or so.
This is really broken and really annoying. Thank you!I have a customer with the same issue. I've done all the standard fixes, like disable protected mode, stop messages, etc. This is on a Citrix XenApp 6.5 server and the particular workstation is shared by many people using a common log on. The users are all using Reader XI to view AutoCAD 2004 and SolidWorks 2014 drawings that have been printed to PDF.
Anybody have any ideas because I'm out. -
I have been having trouble using Adobe Reader 8.1.1, every time I go to open it I receive the following message:
Error Signature
AppName:acrord32.exe AppVer:8.1.0.137 ModName:msver71.dll
ModVer:7.10.3052.4 Offset:000010428
Has anyone else experienced this issue? I am running windows xp with security packet 2.
I have tried to un-install the program. Manually deleted the files by going to the programs folder and removing everything. I have done a complete search of all files and documents regarding to Adobe and deleted them. Then attempted to re-install the software. Each time I do so I receive the same error message. Any thought on how to resolve this issue?I had the same problem.
I installed the foxit and work just fine.
Another way uninstall the adobe 8.1.2 and install an older version like 7.0.9, Here is how:
Go to Download Adobe Reader click on "Different language or operating system" Make choices for your system and click "Continue" second step box will appear at the bottom of the screen. Make the radio button for 7.0.9 and click on "Download Adobe Reader".
An the way you go.
Hope this helped you.
I found these ways from user to user. I do not remember their names.
I thank them and I take the liberty to pass these to other suffering{LIKE ME} people.
