Acroread broken by libpangoxft-1.0.so.0 missing after SOL9 patched

Acrobat Reader is broken after patching the system with the PCA perl script. The updates really helped except for this one problem. I have users that absolutely need to be able to read .PDF files.
I get the following message when running acroread now (it used to work before the system updates):

Dude, I hate to say this, but this is known. In fact, Apple recommends doing a lot of what you said. They have a basic support system called the 5 R's which stand for Reset, Retry, Restart, Reinstall, and Restore.
As far as the video issue, I haven't heard of that, but then again I don't have or use a classic so I can't help you there.

ECC QAS has connection with BW QAS
So we after we maintain the RFC logon , steps are as following
Logon Q23 as client 0**
Run SU01 and change the password of ALEREMOTE to ‘****’ (must be uppercased)
Run SM59 and delete ABAP connection ABWCLNT0** if it exists.
Logon ABW using Client 0** as user sapsupport
Run SM59 and choose ABAP connection Q23CNLT0**, update the password of ALEREMOTE and perform connectivity test and make sure it is working fine.
After the steps above we continue on ABW with RSA1 (see picture 1) but unfortunately the remote connection is broken and when i logon RSA1 again
The Q23 client DISAPPEAR(see picture 2)!
Could anyone help to explain why ??? and how to fix/create the ECC QAS source system again ?

I created it by clicking on the icon of "SAP" then it will pop up a "create" tab
It takes me quite a long time around half an hour.
Finally it shown in the end of RSA1 screen , Q23CLNT0** source system is created successfully.
BUT the strange thing is i refresh the RSA1 screen , i can't not find the Q23 apears in the folder of SAP!!!
And i try to recreate , it shows in the end " Q23CLNT0** "already exist (see attached), how could it be , can anyone come to help?

SMC broken after applying patches

Running a freshly installed 11/06 build of solaris 10 x86, I don't have any issues with smc. Immediately after patching, installing all recommended and security patches, smc so longer starts up.

Player broken after exploit patch.

Currently using the most recent version of Chrome, Windows 7, i5, 8 GB RAM.
The Web Player was working for me at work up until this morning, and it has not worked at all today. The only difference I can find is that the Web Player was recently patched to counteract an expliot with a Chrome extension that allowed people to download songs. Glad it was patched, but I suspect it is the source of my problem.
I can log in fine, I can search, browse songs, etc. Everything works as expected up until I double click on a song to play - nothing happens. I can't play from a playlist, a search, Radio, anything that involves music coming out of my headphones - nothing.
My work does not allow me to install the application but has no problem if I use the web player. Is there anything I can do to get the web player working again? Not sure what the issue is, and I apologize if my problem is quite vague.

Software Images page in Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.2 broken after installing patches

Earlier today we installed PI 2.2.1 POODLE Fix ( 1.0.0 ) and PI 2.2.1 Maintenance Release ( 1.0.0 ) on CPI 2.2. After reloading we get status 404 when navigating to Inventory > Device Management > Software Images.
Also found this error in Developer tools in Chrome:
Error: Unable to load applications/swim/jsp/ImageRepositoryTable.jsp?id=/ status:404
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Can I reclaim the broken part, that was changed, from Apple store?

I am an apple customer since 11 years and for the first time, I am sad to say, I had the worst experience at the Apple Store Fiordaliso in Milan, Italy.
I have had problems with my screen (zig-zag and then at restart white screen), which was not exactly the best timing in the middle of Fashion Week work etc... so I took the computer to the apple store Fiordaliso to check it out. The first guy (lets call him Mario) runs a diagnostic on it which looks like the attached image below, where I saw that the RAM the HDD the CHARGING and maybe THE BATTERY might have issues.
Then Mario tells me its the motherboard. Hm... but not according to the diagnostics. So when he leaves I catch another guy (call him Luigi) and he runs the diagnosics again, comes up with the same result and tells me the RAM is fine, its just not apple RAM but accepted, the HDD might be the issue and probably its electricity supply. I ask him if he is sure if its not the motherboard, and Luigi says, that no, he doesnt think so. his solution would have costed me 38€ plus tax. What Mario told me costed 487€... I liked Luigi more...
Anyway, My computer was taken in by Luigi for repair. But later in the evening Mario calls me and says he has detected the issue and will change the motherboard. I asked him about what happened with Luigi's diagnosis??? He says he ran a test again and its the motherboard. Having no choice, since I needed the computer ASAP, I told him okay, but I want the broken motherboard back! He says ok and hangs up.
Today I went to the Apple Store Fiordaliso to pick up the computer. And Mario came out, gave me the computer and the bil but no broken part. When I asked him where is it, he started to say this and that, that APPLE CANT GIVE BACK THE BROKEN PIECE BECAUSE IT IS THEIR POLICY. After a long italian (means pointless) argument, Mario tells me that he cn change the parts back as they were NOW and give me back the computer as it was. I said, no I simply want the piece, thats all. I have asked for the manager, who told me the same thing and repeated it about 10 times. eventually I told them "okay, guys this is weird, just show me the piece then and I leave". By then MArio has disappeared entirelly, not to be seen again and the manager left me as well, waiting for about 30 minutes, then I caught him when he finally reappeared for a second. He called a technician (at this point I didnt believe even their questions nor gender). This technician (lets call him Benito) starts very smooth, repeats the EXACT same sentences I have heard so far until the point when he said, I cant have the broken part back because it is already in China for refurbishing. I asked him, how is that possible, since Mario told me only an hour before that he can change it back right now, no exlanation just loud talks and HE is getting agressive, to the point that he reaches over the table, takes my computer away and says, that I have two options: I pay and leave with the co puter or the computer stays. I kind lost it right there and took the computer back, when a civil policeman standing behid us and watching the story, intervened. Luckily he found it weird hiself, but of course he didnt make much difference at the end. I have agreed to pay the 478€ and tried to force some kind of an agreement out of the italians, but no use. I needed my computer back desperately...
As a last word the policeman forced Benito to at least give me some point which I could prove to myself that the switch has been done. Benito said, if my home wireless network does not recognises my computer then they have done they job properly and the motherboard has been changed.
Now I am home. My home internet connected automatically...
Anyone has any idea what can I do about it now??? How can I find out what are (were) the original parts of my computer? Can or would Apple help me with this issue?? I have never had any problems with Apple but this was extreme and I feel totally just laughed in the face.

You will have to restore the new iPhone to erase all the data that is still on it. Usually, the seller does this before the transaction. But after you restore the iPhone, you will be able to use it as if you bought it from apple that same day.
Try arranging a meeting with the seller before paying though, just to be sure the thing works fine. If it works fine for him, it will work just as good for you.

So I tried a resubmission.
I got the first error dialog again, followed by a second which said:
An error occurred during the submit process. Cannot process response due to unknown content type.
Can anybody here help me with this at all?

We are running HTMLDB 1.5. We just patched our db from 9205 to 9206 and our as from 9040 to 9041. After the patches many of our HTMLDB screens (and many HTMLDB builder screens) are broken. Many screen widgets (dropdowns, buttons,etc) are returning page not found. They all seem to be generating this url: "host/pls/htmldb/wwv_flow.accept " That's the entire url, no more parms. We should have tested better before putting these patches on production, but here we are. We really need some fast help.

We put in a TAR on this and support said: "I checked internally and confirmed that the 9.2.0.6 upgrade can cause the issues you are seeing. Patch 4015165 is appropriate. Note 295550.1 addresses this."
We put in the patch just nnow and it does fix the problem. All you in HTMLDB-land be warned: this is a serious issue that rendered all of our HTMLDB applications - including the builder and admin screens - unusable. If you are planning on going to 9206, plan to put in this one-off right away.

Broken Link Icons (No Graphics) in Store/MiniStore Pane

Please suggest solutions!
Before activating Mini Store pane I had message in the pane that said I needed QuickTime and a LZZ decompressor to use Mini Store. I have the latest QuickTime but don't know what the decompressor is.
After clicking on the Mini Store activator button, the Store listings appear but there are no graphics. In their places are icons of "broken chain links".
What am I missing OR what should I do to correct this problem?

Same problem. See my post from tonight. Let's see if anyone responds. I bet it has something to do with Quicktime.

Data base was broken now its fixed

When I installed 2.0 I upgraded my broken data Base because I never thought I would find the broken part anyway. Well "knock on wood" after playing with it for a little while I restarted aperture to rebuild the data base expecting to find errors all over the place. None!
I know Apple worked on the data base but I didnt expect this. I have run Cocktail in between the rebuilds but I'm pretty sure that would not of done it. Apple did it right ... at least by me.

If you restore to an older backup, you will get the content that is in the backup. Everything on the iPhone will be erased and you will be brought back to the time that backup was made. Range delivered broken and no one wants to repair it

Bought an open box range in store last week and scheduled a delivery for yesterday. Upon inspection in store only damage appeared to be cosmetic with a few dents on the side. Since it was going in between the counter and a wall the dents would not be visible so we decided to buy it. No other problems were disclosed at the time of purchase. When it arrived the delivery guys stated there was a wire broke and they couldn't repair it but to call geek squad and they'll send someone right out. Delivery guys left and took our old range and left the broken one. We called geek squad and after 45 minutes of being placed on hold while they figured out how to handle the situation informed us that someone from the store we purchased it at will contact us. 24 hours passed and never received a call so we went to the store to attempt to resolve the issue. Geek squad in store refused to send someone out to repair. They called 1-800-geek squ and they refused to send anyone out. Team lead said they will replace the range but since it was an open box we would have to pay the difference for a new one. No one wants to take responsibility and handle the situation. So what is likely going to happen is the range will be returned for a full refund and I will never step foot in that store or any Best buy again.

Broken mail in Lion

Has anyone solved the broken mail problem in which it spontaneously quits after be asked to upgrade messages?

If mail unexpicticly quits do you get the Mail Crash window asking you to report to Apple? If you Do can you paste the crash log in a reply. If you don't get the crash window can you paste the content of the system.log from the console.app after the mail application quits.

JInternalFrame with isShowing() broken?

I've confirmed (I think) that the following is true:
When a JInternalFrame becomes completely obscured by another, isShowing (& isVisible) still returns true for child components.
This cannot be the correct behavior, can it?
This is a real problem for my code, whcih needs to ensure that a paint event always occurs after a specific kind of model update occurs. My code checks for wether the component is visible and then request the reapint and confirms that the paint has occurred. That is, I need some mechanism to test wether the paint will occur on a repaint. This has always worked fine for JFrmaes, buit is broken for JInternal Frames.
Am I missing something here?
Worst case, does anyone know of any work arounds for this problem? I've thought about overriding the desktop manager to force the setVisible flag to false when one frmae obscrues another (the hard part is putting it back!) but the complexity and performance hit of this seems unacceptable.

OK, no responses so I wrote my own implementation that simply sets visible to false when any frame within the desktop is obscured. Turned out to be a lot of code but althgouh it looks complex, the performance is fine even w/ many windows displayed. Here's the intial bit for those interested, not perfected yet. Comments welcome and I hearby award myself back 6 points. I'll leave the other 4 open for a while in case anyone has a better solution or more info.

DBMS_JOB.BROKEN

Hi,
Is it possible that broken jobs (Using DBMS_JOB) executes? I have broken a job for statspack statistics collection using command
execute dbms_job.broken(42,true); and then I checked user_jobs. Broken column was Y that time but still its executed and trying to execute that job.
Can you tell me how this has happened?

Normally a broken flag is set to Y by Oracle after 16 unsuccessful attempts.
The attempts will be made in a interval which is multiples of 2 like, 2, 4, 6,....
and once it reaches the 16th attempt and still fails it sets the flag to Y.
Now you have to manually run the job, and set the broken flag to N.
Did you commit the operation after dbms_job.broken(42,true) ?
