ACS 4.2.1.15 Patch Version 11

Dear All,
We are facing weird issue with ACS. The shared secret key is automatically changing to some random value and stops working for that particular group. It happens very frequently and working after manually changing the shared key. Patch also not available after 11. Plz help

Hi Anisha,
There is no error message, the DOS window dissapear and the patch installation never ends.
The only error that can see is when I restart the server and Windows show an error window.
I have read the patch installation Readme and the following point indicates the logs location:
11. The command window will show minimal information on what’s happening. For detailed logs please locate AcsPatchInstall.log in the root folder of . On applying the next patch this log gets overwritten.

  • How to use a patched version of pdftex?

    Hello,
I would like to use a patched version of pdftex to be able to compile PDF/A compliant documents. Patch is here, and the compilation works without problems. However, I do not manage to use that compiled version of pdftex.
Using the instructions on running different versions of pdftex on Stackexchange or at rivervalley, I startle at the point where format files have to be generated:
    ## TeX.stackexchange answer
    ## create formats, using the new pdftex, and the ini files from the existing TeX installation
pdftex -ini -etex pdftex.ini # in the Stackexchange answer, pdftex.ini is used. In the other instructions, pdfetex.ini
    pdftex -ini -etex pdflatex.ini
The ini files are not found by pdftex:
This is pdfTeX, Version 3.1415926-1.40.11 (TeX Live 2010) (INITEX)
    restricted \write18 enabled.
    entering extended mode
    ! I can't find file `pdfetex.ini'.
    <*> pdftex.ini
Naturally there is not pdftex.ini, pdfetex.ini or pdflatex.ini in the working directory. In the file tree, the files of interest are present, and they are also found by kpsewhich:
    /usr/share/texmf-dist/tex/plain/config/pdfetex.ini
    /usr/share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/latexconfig/pdflatex.ini
However, running the command with the full path, copying the files into the working directory, or running the command as superuser in those directories (bad idea, i know) does not work either. I guess my environment variables or other settings are not correct - does someone have a glue how to resolve this?
    Thanks!
Edit: Cross-posted on Stackexchange: here. If that is discouraged, I can close this thread.

    Hi,
    It's a great question about 8i...
With Remote Diagnostic Agent (RDA Tools) you can see all dll & all files which were updated (date and version, make a checkcross with CPU doc).

    Thanks/Rgds

I know that I should first download and apply the AD related patches separetly. But, what is the best practice for downloading the rest of them? How does an experienced Applications DBA handle this kind of situation? I was trying to use the Patching Wizard on OAM, but the request errored out stating that "****No codeline specified". Where do I specify this when I download a list of patches? I just pasted a comma separated list of 249 patches into the PatchList field on Download Patches page. Please see these docs.

  • Mismatch between the patch version

Version 2.18, next step, next issue. Got through the 'Do Setup' step on "9-Apply DBA CUP and related patches" with a bug workaround that was provided. Now went to the next step of 'Do Execute' and it is failing with the message below. I've done some inital searching and haven't found an answer. There was one note on MOS about a very similar issue but it was resolved in 2.16. Posting here whild I spend more time researching and trying to figure out the reason. I also reviewed my notes from when I did this upgrade manually and these mereged patches were not applied in preinstall mode as the message is saying has to be done. Any help would be appreicated. Thanks!.
patchit12.sh - is exiting with no actions. ie. Patch patchfile_ad17089s not applied.
There is a mismatch between the patch version specified and the release
version obtained from your Applications environment. In order to apply
Release 12 patches to previous Applications versions, the patch must be
applied in preinstall mode. This can be done by passing the appropriate
value to the preinstall parameter of eof_patch12.sh.

  • Linking error when compiling patched version

I should understand this stuff better by now
I'm trying to build a patched version of zoneminder includung the libv4l libraries to better support web cams. In zm_local_camera.cpp I've added
    #include <libv4l2.h>

and replaced all the ioctl() open() close() mmap() etc statements with the v4l2_ioctl()v4l2_ open() v4l2_close() v4l2_mmap() etc versions.
The first stage of compiling goes without error, but then linking (relinking?) stage it bails with this error

Can someone tell me what I am missing. I will do my homework if someone can just give me a hint.

The above suggestion worked the last time I built zoneminder, but when I tried upgrading today, with kernel 2.6.31 and the same exact zoneminder release (1.24.2), I'm getting the same error again.  As you can see, -lv4l1 and -lv4l2 are in the g++ command.  This is using the latest gcc package, 4.4.1, and I think the last build might have been on 4.4.0.  I've also upgraded x264 and ffmpeg to svn latest in the last couple of days, but I doubt that should have anything to do with is.  Can somebody help?  Thanks.

  • How to check  that same Oracle software versions(including patch versions)

How to check that same Oracle software versions(including patch versions) is installed on two hosts(machines) ?
    We are using following process:
    On Host A :
    1) Get the Oracle version using SQLPlus -v
From this output, extract the version number.
2)Find the patches installed using opatch lsinventory -detail
From the output , Extract the Patch numbers and Bugs fixed.
    3) Store the version , patch and bugs information in a common file.
    On Host B :
Repeat the steps 1 and 2 and compare with the values from Host A.
Please let us know if there is any other method to do this.
    Thanks.

This is wrong: for Oracle Database version 10.2.0.4 *4* identifies the patch set and does not give information about interim patchs.
It is correct to use opatch lsinventory to get interim patchs.

I have got fresh install Solaris 9 , 117171-07 how can i revert to older patch version.
