ACS 4.2 - automate removal of dynamic users

Is it possible to automate the removal of dynamic users to a preset schedule, say once a month?

No its not possible to automate the removal of dynamic users to a preset schedule. The only option is to use the "Remove Dynamic Users" button manually in the User Setup.

Automating removal of Discovered Users from ACS

I use ACS 4.1 on a Windows server that looks up unknown users in Active Directory. Users in AD are in various groups and ACS has these groups mapped to the ACS groups so that users are granted appropriate access to their needs. This has worked well.
I am now seeing that users are are removed from one AD group and added to another group do not have this change reflected in the ACS system. This is because ACS only looks at the AD group for *unknown users*. The user who has moved AD groups was an unknown user, but, upon first logon, that user became a discovered user. From that point forward, only credentials are checked, not group membership.
On the User Setup section in ACS, there is a button to *Remove Dynamic Users*.
I would love to know the following:
1. Is there a way to have ACS check the current group assignment in AD for *Discovered Users*?
2. If not, is there a way to automate the *Remove Dyanmic Users* fucntion? I have used CSUtil in the past but it seems a little cumbersome for this feature in that I had to dump out the users, reformat the output, and then push the deletion back through. I don't recall it making distinctions of known versus discovered users. It just had users names in ACS groups.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Right, I mention that in my original post. But it requires me to go in and do it. Not the automated process I am looking for.
The other approach I mentioned is to script around the CSUTIL command. While it meets part of the automation requirement, it is not very robust and does not do exactly what I am looking for. It also becomes another complex script that I would have to support.

Dynamic User Group Role for ASA 8 ACS 4 External Windows DB

1. I've successfully got a Win2003 AD user to authenticate to the ASA via an ACS but the default group settings the dynamic user becomes part of don't get transfered to the user. How do I get the user to adopt the group settings?
2. ASDM recommends nabling authentication for admin console sessions so you don't ssh into a box then have to login as the enable password which isn't logged. When I check the box for this feature I can ssh to the ASA but my password is denied ASA. How do I keep the user credentials all the way to the privilege exec mode?
3. Back in the day I could configure the ACS shell, privilege 15, custom attributes cisco-av-pair "priv-lvl-15" to get a user to jump directly to privilege exec mode. This doesn't work now. Is there a different way to do this on ACS v 4?

Try this:
aaa authentication enable console
aaa authorization command
on ACS go to the user or group that the user is in and go to enable options and click on "Max Privilege for any AAA client" and set it to "15". Then go to the "tacacs+" section on click on "Shell(exec)" and click on "Privilege leve" and enter 15. Then go to the "Shell command authorization set" and set the default to permit any commands not listed. This will get the user into privilege mode. In ASA/Pix it requires command authorization and authentication for enable console. On IOS it requires that you use aaa authentication exec and then the aaa authorization exec/command. This will allow the user to go straight into privilege mode instead of user mode.

Dynamic Users in ACS

I want to Disable caching of dynamically mapped users. Unfortunately the check box to disable the caching is hidden and I can not find it. What do I enable it inorder to see this check box so I may disable it.

There is no way to disable dynamic user cache, we can only manually remove the users from time to time when they keep adding on.They actually become a part of the database and stay unless you delete it manually.
To remove dynamic users manually -- in user set up page -- select " Remove Dynamic Users"

Disable caching ACS dynamic users

Hi all!
I have an ACS 3.3(2)b2 what use AD as an external DB. I experianced, that dynamic users created after successful authentication from the AD, and these users don't purge themself from the ACS internal DB. I did a test environment, and the same thing happened. I upgraded the ACS to 4.0, and the same thing happened.
I find a mention in the ACS4.0 user guide, what says the following:
"Users that are dynamically mapped will keep on being dynamically mapped even when their group
mapping settings are modified to a group which is set to Disable caching of dynamically mapped users."
So my question is, where can I disable caching of dynamically mapped users?

I need to do the EXACT same thing, but have no idea how. Has anyone out there done this?
My situation is a tad different..this is a new Mac (and I'm a brand new Mac user). Tons of querks occur under my original account (videos won't run, Safari won't support certain plug-ins). I spent 6 hours on the phone w/ 4 different Apple Reps and nobody could fix it. A rep finally looked at my MacBook Pro in person today. He created a new account just to see if that would work and under that new account, everything works perfectly fine (no querks, can view video). He tried switching a million settings in my original account to no avail.
He said to create a new account (as he did) and move my files over to the new account and then go back to the original and delete it. How do you do this?! I can't figure it out! I've got a new account created, but of course it just has the default folders in it w/ the little red icons next to them! Thanks in advance!

How to automatically remove the wiki page's images from the Images library , when a wiki page is deleted

I have noted the following strange behavior inside my Publishing enterprise wiki site collection. Now by default when I create a new wiki page and I add Pictures to it, the pictures will be saved under the “Images” library and will be inside a unique folder
that have its name similar to the page name.
But when users delete the picture from the wiki page or they delete the whole wiki page, then the related folder inside the “Images” library will not be removed. So can anyone advice if there is a way to automatically remove the page’s pictures
folder from the Images library when the page is deleted? as currently i might end up having many pictures inside the Images library which are not linked to a wiki page, and they will waste my server desk space...

I think, not sure, there's no out-of-the-box solution in SharePoint for this problem. So I can only think of custom solution:
In event Receiver, ItemDeleting, you can delete images. The only downside is if some other pages are referring the images..... you need to check somehow which is quite time-consuming operations if you have thousand of pages in wiki library
A timer job, that will run periodically, every day or week, and clean all unused images.
Hide the default delete button and add your own. And then using your own custom layout page, show a 'configuration dialog' to user if they want to delete both page and images.

Help needed, Createing Dynamic User input

Hello,
I am attempting to create some dynamic user input by "predicting" what the user requires in a text box.
For example if the user enters "Smi" I have a select list pop up which gives the user all options that begin with "Smi".
I am able to achieve the popups but the interface is quite jerky and not terribly responsive I am trying to solve this by using a thread which starts and stops when new input is received but it is still not quite right.
The program uses a Sorted TreeSet to hold the data (I thought this would give me a quick search time) and a simple interface at this stage.
Any help would be fantastic

Can SeeBurger BIC Mapping tool automatically remove Delimiters?

Hi all,
When we map IDOC's to EDI X12 messages using the SeeBurger BIC Mapping tool, we sometimes have delimiters occur in fields such as name or address. We are using the setDestinationDelimiter and have changed our delimiters so this occurance is rare. However the problem may still occur. This causes an invalid message to be passed to our partner.
One option is to use XI mapping and the replace function on each field however this is cumbersome and not the ideal solution.
Is there a way to automatically remove Delimiter characters from fields as part of the BIC Mapping.

Thanks for re-iterating the problem. You are absolutely right that this does cause an invalid message.
Also thanks for your suggestion regarding asking business not to enter the data, this has been done and as stated the occurences of these delimiters in the fields will be low, usually due to user error.
We still however want to cater for these occurrences and prevent an invalid message being sent to the partner.
I'm not sure if you've ever used the BIC Mapping tool and what I'm really looking for is someone with experience in this area to give a solution that works. Anyone out there who can help?

Wireshark on the server shows the SNMP traps arrived at the server, but nothing is logged in the MACUHIC log (all items set for debugging and debugging is enabled) and nothing shows up in the end host report.
Trap listener configuration Listen traps from device is checked.
Dynamic User Tracking Configuration validate trap source by IP address is checked. The source address in validate trap source matches the source shown by wire shark.
What am I missing? How can I further troubleshoot this?    Thanks

The fact that you have success for usertracking does not mean you server receives mac address notification traps. It only means the passive usertracking has run. The UT results from the other switch may come from this process.

HI how do i remove a role from a user when he id terminated or disabled.

In your case, I believe IT1001's Relationship A008 and B007 have to be delimited in order to remove a user (US) or role (AG) from a position (S) but this report cannot be run for specific relationship types of IT1001 (atleast I did never find an option to filter based on relationship types).
You can try using report RHRHDL00 to delete IT1001 relationships from PP Database but you should consider the consequences of such deletions and restrict the selection based in infotypes and relationship types carefully.
Alternatively, you can also build a LSMW script to automate the process of mass delimit/deletion of IT1001's relationship types using transaction PP02 (PP01 is not compatible to BDC/background processing)

Hi all,
we are on ECC 6.0; we are using indirect role assignment. We looking for a way to automate the removing of a user (US) or role (AG) from a position (S).
eg. remove user 123456 from position 50000001 and user 654321 from position 50000002 in one shot.
We have found the standard SAP program RHRHDC00 (RE_RHRHDC00 transaction) but is not designed for doing that.
There's another standard program/function or... for solve this matters?

Skype Automatically Removing Recently Added Conact...

Operating System: Windows 10 & Windows 7
Skype Version: 7.0.0.102 & 6.?
(Maybe helpful?) Note: I have Over 5,500 Contacts, but this issue just started recently.
Anytime I get a new contact request and add a user, soon after chatting with them, Skype automatically removes them from my list and a (?) icon is left neer their name.
Case 1:
New pending contacts which which to add add me are removed seconds after I add them.
I click the "Accept" button, and within seconds they are automatically removed from my contact list.
Case 2:
Existing contacts are sometimes removed, and I'm left with an "Add to Contacts" button for contacts which I haven't even removed.
After clicking "Add to Contacts" for this case, the request is sent, but soon after they accept or we chat a bit, they are removed again.
I have this same issue on two machines, Windows 7 and Windows 10, latest Skype and also some older version, around 6.2 or so. Let me know any other information you need to assist or questions.
I use skype for business and am slowly making the switch to livechat after being unable to resolve this issue.

There is a limitation of the Skype contact list around 8000 contacts and it seems you've reached this limit. As a result whenever you add a new contact you'll either have the contact staying in pending and not getting added even after it was accepted or you'll lose contact authentication with another one. I would suggest you do a clean up of your contacts list or create a second new Skype account.
