ACS 5.2 NDG Locations not showing up in Access Policies

When I add locations under Network Device Groups and then try and use them in my Access Policies they don't show up. It just says "No data to display". If I try and recreate them I get an error "Object you are trying to Create already exists.' but it is blank. I can run an export and they show up in the CSV file but they don't show up anywhere on the GUI. I have deleted the file and recreated with the same result.
I have been searching all over for anyone with a similar situation but have come up empty. Any thougts?

I have recollections about two issues related to this:
- If there are mutliple attributes with the same name as the NDG. Eg if create a user attribute called "Locations" it can cause problems. Can be resolved by renaming the attribute
- Could be issues if word "system" appears in NDG node name
Not 100% sure for these (disclaimer) but wanted to mention in case it gives some pointers

Network Location not showing domain name in Server 2012 R2 after demoting 2003 PDC

The single active NIC in my new Server 2012 R2 no longer shows the Network Location of "DOMAIN.LOCAL" like it did before I demoted the only Server 2003 domain controller. The NIC now shows "NETWORK" as the Network Location.
The registry still shows a Profile with the correct PROFILENAME in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList\Profiles
but that name does not show up in the Network List Manager Policies inside Local Security Policy.
The 2012 R2 Srv has all of the FSMO roles, Client PC's can connect to the domain but will not get new map drives from a script, they must be created manually. My Quickbooks Enterprise clients cannot see the QB Server Manager on this server and I think it
is related to this issue because of firewall restrictions.
The Windows Firewall pointed me in this direction because the "Private Networks" is connected to my NIC named "Network" but the Firewall "Domain Networks" is reported as "Not connected."

Based on my research,
Network Location Awareness (NLA) service expects to be able to enumerate the
domain’s forest name to choose the right network profile for the connection. The service does this by calling
DsGetDcName on the forest root name and issuing an LDAP query on UDP port 389 to a root Domain Controller.
If something hinders the DNS name resolution or the connection attempt to the DC, NLA is not able to set the appropriate network profile on the connection.
Therefore, I suggest you check the DNS settings on DCs and other domain-joined machines, which should point to the existing DC as preferred DNS server, and secondary DC as alternate DNS server, IP address of demoted DC should be
removed. In addition, please do not use loopback IP address.

My own locations not showing up on map

Hi,
I'm creating my own locations for geo-tagging when iPhoto09 does not offer a suggestion. This is working fine and I can add the newly created location to an event.
However, when I start locations and get the map overview, only the locations that were automatically offfered by iPhoto show up on the map. My own locations do not show up with a pin.
In the konsole.log I see the following entries:

Curious, as all other features work just fine.
Just the showing of my own locations seem to be broken.
I am in corporate network with a local proxy running on my Mac that handles the communication with the corporate proxies. When I type the URL in my Safari, I get a connection just fine.
Seems like only for the mapping feature iPhoto tries to bypass the proxies and does not get a connection.
Can anybody help or confirm my suspicion?

Can only confirm that on a dedicated, non-network system I am getting "pin" locations as long as at least one photo is associated with a pin. Pins without associated photos do not show up on the "Places" initialization map but do still show up on the "Manage My Places" map.

New location not showing up in Federated result webpart

I made a new Location to federated locations like in

I had the same issue. The problem was due to their being two different places in the admin intrerface to set up federated search locations depending on the type of search. See:

New Location Not Showing in Assign Location Window

Hi,
I'm new to Aperture so I may be just doing something wrong here. Have checked Aperture help and this forum but couldn't find an answer.
I Assign a Location to a group of photos. Type in the location and it is found by Google. I hit Assign. If I open Places, the locations will show in the drop-downs. But if I go back to the "Assign Location" window under Metadata, the new location isn't shown in the left pane.
Is this an issue or am I doing something wrong?

Username not showing up in access log for authenticated users

I'm using form-based authentication in a Java web application on Sun One Web Server v6.1 to restrict access to authenticated users. However, even after the users authenticate and access the application, the username field in the access log is showing them as anonymous.
request.getRemoteUser() is reporting the correct username, so it just seems to be the access log that is in error. Right now it is set to the default but changing formats to custom doesn't seem to help in displaying the username.
Here's an excerpt from the access log:

</security-constraint>I've searched the forums and the manuals but can't see anything showing that the access log's username field doesn't work with form-based authentication. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Some background:
The Java Servlet container has its own authentication infrastructure (which is what you configure in web.xml) which is separate from the non-Java authentication infrastructure (ACLs, etc.). If you set up authentication via ACLs the resulting user identity can (though you may configure it not to) propagate to the Java Servlet container such that request.getRemoteUser() will return it, even though no web.xml-driven authentication occurred. The coverse is not true, however: if you authenticate via a Java Realm, based on web.xml configuration, that user identity is not available to non-Java code.
(Your web.xml snippet doesn't show you using FORM auth - but it doesn't matter, the explanation above applies in any case.)
That is why the log file (generated from non-Java code) doesn't have access to that user. It probably should, but there's no config option today for you to make that happen.
If you're using BASIC auth you may consider moving the authentication configuration from web.xml to ACLs as a possible workaround. It will then show up in the access logs.
If you prefer web.xml-based authentication, consider the <SECURITY audit="true"> option in server.xml. It won't be in the access log but you'll have an audit trail of authentications, which may help.

Photo locations not showing in places

worked fine for the first few photos after that nothing. new pins to show up after rebooting the phone but not after taking a shot. iphone 4s ios5. location sevices is enabled for camera.
anyone else running in to this problem? thoughts on a fix?

Sharing my location not showing up in Messages "Details"?

I have 2 iPhones (5S and 6 Plus), both running 8.1.2 and have iCloud. "Sharing My Location" is enabled in iCloud and Privacy --> Location Services.
The problems:
1). iPhone 6 Plus
- Send a message to iPhone 5S
- Press "Details"
- Press "Share my Location" --> "Share for one hour"
- Details now show "Stop Sharing My Location 59 minutes left"
- Go to iPhone 5S and open Messages
- Open the message sent from iPhone 6 Plus
- Click on "Details".
- The location from iPhone 6 Plus is NOT SHOWN in iPhone 5S

- Press "Details"
- Press "Share my Location" --> "Share for one hour"

When sending location from 6 Plus to 5S, I went to the 6 Plus iMessage and noticed a prompt that said "You started sharing location with xxx". In Details, it also shows "Stop Sharing My Location" per my 1st post.
In the 5S (recipient of the location sharing), in Details, I see what you see --> icons for Phone, Facetime and . However, there is no maps showing the location of the 6 Plus.
I checked the settings in both the 5S and 6 Plus and Location services are enabled, as shown below. This is bizarre...
I am going to do another test with another phone and will report back.

What happens if you right click on the SQL view in SQL Management Studio and click "Select top 1000 rows", are these columns included and does that work? Can you screen shot the SQL columns as they are in the view and send the updated query that

Current location not showing in my i touch

For location the iPod uses the location of nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's database. You do not have to be connected to the network/router to use that router's location. Thus, it appears that the iPod can't see a nearby router that is in Apple's database. Apple continuously updated their database based on info they obtain from iPhones. No one has been able to find a way to inform Apple of a router or correct is location.
You can confirm that by going to place with a know located router like Starbucks or McDonalds

IPod sync to iCal bug (location not showing)

Can someone confirm for me if the following is a bug in the iPod software? I have started using iCal which includes a "location" field to indicate where particular appointments are being held. However, when I sync the information to iPod, the location field never appears in the iPod. Is this a recent bug or something that no one has noticed before?

Apple was made aware of the bug in December. It affects all iPods. There is a way to get around it by editing the ics files after you synchronize. I've made available on my website at <http://isd.usc.edu/~bbellina> an Applescript and Perl application that does this for ics and vcs files. See thread:

Not showing top 10 access rule after upgrade to 9.1(5)

I have recently upgraded ASA 5505 from 8.2 to 9.1 and the ASDM to 7.3 but I can no longer can view the Top 10 Access Rules on the home tab. Is it a bug or do I have to enable anything?
I hope someone can help.

However in the home page , when I click on show rule it says the following
Unable to determine corresponding access rule The configuration in ASDM may be out of sync with the device. Please refreah configuration and try again
I refreshed the screen and no change. Welcome any advise.

Authenticated User not showing up in access log

Hello all,
I am trying to get authenticated users to show up in the access log of SunOne Web Server 6.1 SP4 and it doesn't work. It is a default paramter to show up in the access log but doesn't show in the log. In fact, when I set the log to only show the authenticated user in the log, the log is empty and only shows dashes. As you can in the part of the log file below, after the IP address the log should show the authenticated user but doesn't
Any help? Do I need to modify something else in a configuration file?

You didn't say how the server is authenticating the user. Is it succesful? ACLs or Java?
6.1sp4 is obsolete, update to the latest 6.1 service pack first. If you're using Java, I believe there was a bug years ago that was along the lines of your description. Update to the latest 6.1 service pack and if that doesn't solve the problem, provide more details on how the authentication is configured.

Radio genres not showing up - no access to stations!

Hi,
If anyone can help me with this frustrating problem, I'd much appreciate it!
I'm a new user of itunes (using windows xp professional), and would like to access streaming radio stations... however, when I click on the 'Radio' option in the source panel, I don't get the list of genres as I understand should happen.
Checked the basics out - turned off my anti-virus app, checked the itunes parental control settings, google'd until my eyes turned red...
Any idea why I can't get this to work?

I'm having the exact same problem. The radio function works fine on my older laptop which has had iTunes installed for close to two years now, but I just installed iTunes on my other machine and it will not bring up the stream list when I click on "Radio".
Checked all the settings, parental controls, etc. and all the settings are identical on both machines, so I don't see where the problem is.
Any ideas out there? Anyone know the file that the category list is locally stored in so maybe I can copy it from the working computer to the one that won't retrieve it?
