ACS replication error
I have a primary ACS with IP address 10.250.97.29/24. it is working fine.
Now I would like to add a secondary
ACS with IP 10.250.97.50/24. Both
ACS 4.1 are identical with version 23
patch 5. both are running on Win2k3
with Service Pack 2. Both Win2k3 are
domain controllers in the same forest.
I followed the guide in Cisco CCO for
replication but when I tried to
replicate from the primary I get this:
Outbound replication cycle starting..
ACS 'lab-test' has denied replication request
Outbound replication cycle completed
lab-lcs the primary ACS and lab-test
is the secondary ACS.
on the lab-test, I see this:
Inbound database replication from ACS 'lab-lcs' denied
on the lab-lcs, I configured it to
accept replication from the Primary
ACS.
Anyone know why it is not working?
Thanks.
ensure that you do not have Primary ACS server entry under "Replication Partner" column on Secondary ACS configuration for Internal Database Replication section. It should be under "AAA Server" under Replication section.

Under database replication components, either select "user and group database" or "group database only"..You can't have both selected, as first option include the other..

ACS replication issue on VMware ESX 3.5
I have just installed ACS 4.2 on two VMware hosts. I've configured database replication but it won't work. The error message is "shared secret mismatch". This error message occurs if a NAT device is in the path (which it isn't in this case) or if the tcp header is otherwise changed during transmission. I'm wondering if VMware is adding something to the TCP header. Has anyone come across this problem before or has anyone successfully implemented ACS replication when both hosts are on VMware?
Thanks.Hi,
I see that you are getting "shared secret mismatch error" under database replication logs. Just wanted to inform you that this is not because of nat'ed device. This happens when we have different keys for AAA servers on primary and secondary ACS.
The primary server must be configured as an AAA server and must have a key.
The secondary server must have the primary server configured as an AAA
server and its key for the primary server must match the primary servers own
key. The shared secret key should be same on the both the ACS's.
I am sending you one link for Setting Up Replication for Cisco Secure ACS, I
am sure this example with screen shots gives you better understanding.
Please visit the below suggested ULR:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps2086/products_configuration
_example09186a00800e518a.shtml
If that doesn't resolve the issue, please let me know if you see any server with this ip address 127.0.0.1.

We have 2 ACS appliances that are separated by a WAN.
Both appliances are at the same software version and I have replication set up per Cisco's (as well as others') directions.
When I run replication, I get the error "Cannot replicate to 'ciscoacs2' - server not responding".
If I try replication in the other direction, I get the same error.
I can ping both appliances and access the web interface from both subnets.
There is a firewall between them, but I have port 2000 open and I do not see any other deny messages relating to the ACS replication in the firewall logging.
I ran a sniffer on the receiving appliance's port and got the following:
10.127.101.5 10.127.80.63 TCP evb-elm > cisco-sccp [SYN] Seq=0 Win=65535 Len=0 MSS=1380
10.127.101.5 10.127.80.63 TCP evb-elm > cisco-sccp [ACK] Seq=1 Ack=1 Win=65535 Len=0
10.127.80.63 10.127.101.5 TCP cisco-sccp > evb-elm [SYN, ACK] Seq=0 Ack=1 Win=65535 Len=0 MSS=1460
10.127.101.5 10.127.80.63 TCP evb-elm > cisco-sccp [RST] Seq=25 Win=0 Len=0
10.127.80.63 10.127.101.5 TCP [TCP Dup ACK 1515#1] cisco-sccp > evb-elm [ACK] Seq=1 Ack=1 Win=65535 Len=0
Logging on the devices themselves is terrible, so I really have no idea what would be causing replication to fail.
Thanks.
JasonOne update if it will help. I've been doing some research and I found that ACS replication doesn't like NAT and replication will fail if the IP address is changed through NAT.
While NAT is running on the firewall that our ACS appliance is behind, there is a static mapping to basically keep the NAT address the same. So NAT is being applied, but NAT is just giving it the same address.
I don't know if the NAT process is what's causing the problem? Based on the sniff I posted earlier, the source address of 101.5 is the IP of the ACS appliance.
Taking the device out from behind the firewall could be an option, but it would be a last resort because we would then need to reconfigure all of our equipment to point to the new address, and we have a lot of equipment.
Thanks.

Customer Master replication error from R/3 to CRM
Experts,
I am trying to replicate Customer Master from R/3 to CRM.
All the settings have been done. Nothing shows up in Queues. However, Bdoc hangs in "Received" state.
When I try to reprocess the Bdoc, I get a prog dump of type DBIF_RSQL_INTERNAL_ERROR in below function module: CRM_BUPA_FRG0020_SAVE_TABS
at INSERT crmm_but_set0020 FROM TABLE it_set0020_insert[]
This data corresponds to Shipping data in Customer Master.
Can you please help? I saw a similar thread in the forum where there was a suggestion about R/3 plug in update. How can I do that?
Thanks in advance,

Replication error BP from CRM to R/3 - "Fill in all required entry Fields"
Dear Folks
I have maintained all steps mentioned in building block - C03. I have maintained separate account group approach. Made sure that number ranges are in sync in both the systems. Particularly in PIDE, mapping classification Consumer-Org 'A' to 'ZZ01' (Copy of 0001).
I changed all required entry to optional entry in my 'ZZ01' field status using OVT0.
But when i replicate using R3AS, i get an error 'Fill in all required entry Fields" - Error in receiving system (i.e R/3).
I tried manually creating customer in R/3 with the account group ZZ01. Surprisingly it does not allows me to save unless i give the reconcillation account entry, even though it is not a required field.
Please let me know for further details and Please help me to resolve this error. I am in real urgency.
Thanks
Keerthi

507 401 1030Hi Karunakaran
Your reply answered my question of creating customer with no 'recon' a/c required entry. Thanks awarded 2 points.
My replication error is still hanging around. I found that It has no bearing on the 'Reconcillation A/c' required entry.
Some other field is still restricting my BP Role- Consumer:Organization to replicate. The error still showing as "required fields are not entered in R/3", even after suppressing "Reconcillation Account".
I think my reference customer master i created in R/3 using VD07 is not assigned in case of the account group Consumer:Organization.
But i don't know how to verify my doubts and get rid of this error.
Please help, in great urgency. -
I have been getting a pattern of errors on my DC. I have two pair of eyes on these errors, but everything seems to running ok. The only issue we've had is our workstations were putting out the "Trust domain relationship failed..." error. We were
able fix this issue by removing those machines from the domain, changing the names, and then adding them back. My only concern is that the errors below were the cause of that, and that the issue may return unless this is resolved. I've checked all of my services
and DNS's settings. IPv6 is on. There haven't been any changes to the server in sometime. Which is the baffling part. Any insight on this would be very helpful. I apologize in advance for not being well versed in this area... AD Replication is not my strongest
point.

Description:
This server is the owner of the following FSMO role, but does not consider it valid. For the partition which contains the FSMO, this server has not replicated successfully with any of its partners since this server has been restarted. Replication errors are
preventing validation of this role.
Operations which require contacting a FSMO operation master will fail until this condition is corrected.
FSMO Role: CN=RID Manager$,CN=System,DC=LAH
User Action:
1. Initial synchronization is the first early replications done by a system as it is starting. A failure to initially synchronize may explain why a FSMO role cannot be validated. This process is explained in KB article 305476.
2. This server has one or more replication partners, and replication is failing for all of these partners. Use the command repadmin /showrepl to display the replication errors. Correct the error in question. For example there maybe problems with IP connectivity,
DNS name resolution, or security authentication that are preventing successful replication.
3. In the rare event that all replication partners being down is an expected occurance, perhaps because of maintenance or a disaster recovery, you can force the role to be validated. This can be done by using NTDSUTIL.EXE to seize the role to the same server.
This may be done using the steps provided in KB articles 255504 and 324801 on http://support.microsoft.com.
The following operations may be impacted:
Schema: You will no longer be able to modify the schema for this forest.
Domain Naming: You will no longer be able to add or remove domains from this forest.
PDC: You will no longer be able to perform primary domain controller operations, such as Group Policy updates and password resets for non-Active Directory Domain Services accounts.
RID: You will not be able to allocation new security identifiers for new user accounts, computer accounts or security groups.
Infrastructure: Cross-domain name references, such as universal group memberships, will not be updated properly if their target object is moved or renamed.

Replication Error with Vendor Master Records
Hello,
We are trying to replicate vendor master records from R/3 to SRM via BBPGETVD. When we go to SLG1, there is an error stating Business Partner XXXX: Invalid Value 0003 for field Authorization Group.
Currently, the AP dept. maintains the field Authorization Group in the Vendor Master Record 'Control' screen with a fixed value of 0003 (LFA1-BEGRU). When the replication occurs, SRM complains that this field value does not exist in a SRM customizing table or is a fixed value.
Do we need to implement the BBP_TRANSDATA_PREP BAdI to pass this value as a fixed value to replicate vendors?
-regards
Shaz KhanI'm planning to implement bbp_transdata_prep. Wondering if either one of you can help. I've also opened another thread with my specific questions.

Replication Error in Quotation from CRM to ECC
Hi All,
This is regarding the Replication error which we are getting in the Quotation/Orders in the CRM server, when the Quotation/Orders is getting replicated to ECC server.
Let me explain the process,
We have the Internet Sales Application (ISA Version 5.0) implemented with B2B Scenario.
Dealers create Quotes from ISA for Configurable materials. The Configurable material has a "knowledge base" version already created in ECC in the table "SCEKB". Based on the configuration of the material, the knowledge base version of the material gets updated time to time.
When dealers create Quote for Configurable material from ISA, the latest "knowledge base" version gets determined in the Quotation. As a process, a new knowledge base version for the configurable is created for the material subsequently.
When Dealers are creating Orders for the Quotation from ISA, the order gets created in CRM server but does not get replicated to ECC due to the following error.
Internal error in communication between configuration and sales doc.CONFIGURATION_PROCESSING (Notification A V1 854)
Item 000100 does not exist (Notification E V1 331).
We suspect that the Order when getting replicated to ECC, is trying to determine the latest "knowledge base" version in the system for the material and since there is a mis-match between the Order and the "SCEKB" table, the Order is not getting replicated to ECC.
Can someone tell me how to suppress the above error and get the Order replicated to ECC without any issues.
Thanks,
RaviHi Ravi,
Did you managed to get a solution for this?
We have a similiar situation, can you please provide an input if you have any?
Thanks,
Sindhur. -
Hello experts,
when running a process chain I get an replication error.
it says
"..the DataSource 8Z_ODS_1 (its an ODS-Object) has a different timestamp in sourcesystem than in Business Information Warehouse ..."
I have no clue what this is supposed to mean!
any suggestions?
thanx
AxelHi Linda,
1. You can use the below program to activate.
RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL porgram (se38) -> give the infosource name and activate.
2. Or search the Infosource in RSA1 and go into the Tranfer rules and click on activate button.
If you do not have authorisation in your Quality or Production server for the above two steps, do the step 2 in Development. You will be prompted for a transport request creation. Create the TR and release it to the target server.

ACS Replication does not replicate all users
Hello,
we have two ACS 4.0 solution engines. both are configured correct for acs replication. after starting the replication not all users from the primary ACS are replicated to the slave ACS. All uses are in different groups and the not replicated users are not in the local or unknown user group.
does anybody have a hint to resolve this problem?
regards
TorstenI have deleted a user which was dynamicly discovered and afterwards added to a user group. After added the user manually again the replication was successfull.
Thank you. -
Yesterday we had two ACS 4.0 servers installed on Windows 2000 Domain Controllers that were working great. ACS1 was the primary server and replication was configured to send to ACS2. ACS2 replication was configured to receive from ACS1.
We lost ACS2 yesterday so I installed ACS 4 on a 2003 Domain Controller (ACS3). I installed ACS3, went into network configuration and added ACS1 as an AAA server.
I then logged onto ACS1 and added ACS3 as an AAA server and configured ACS3 as a replication partner.
It is not replicating - if I look at the log I get
ERROR, ACS 'ACS3' has denied replication request
I do not have the primary as a replication on the secondary.
I have some screen shots of the configuration from ACS2 and I've duplicated everything I've could (except for name and IP).
Any ideas on what I can try next?I had what seems to be the same issue.
In my case I have two ACS SE 1113 appliances, but the issue could still be the same with your Windows servers.
The appliance has two NIC's - I had both of the NIC's connected. Although the appliance only allows you to use the Primary NIC (the bottom one) ACS still detected the Secondary NIC and creates an additional "AAA Server" entry under the "Network Configuration" tab called "self". You should only have one "self" entry in your AAA Server list, not two.
Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to undo this. So I disconnected the Secondary NIC (the top one) and used the recovery CD to reload both of my ACS devices. Now everything works just fine.
- Nate -
Hi all,
I've the following question: is it possible to set up a replication between 2 server running the same version of ACS, but with 1 server behind a PIX running static NAT (private IP address of one server is statically mapped to a public address)?
I was able to manage the replication when the two servers on the same LAN, but when I move the second server on the private LAN I obtain error "shared secret mismatch".
Any idea?
Thanks
Regards
RobertoACs versions 3.1 and greater will not work with replication and NAT'ing. The security of the replication process was increased in these version, and the originating server hashes it's own IP address (the non-NAT'd version of it) into the data to be used as part of the verification process.
If the receiving server sees this from a different IP address due to the NAT'ing then it will fail and produce the "shared secret mismatch" error you're seeing.
Sorry, no way around it unfortunately. -
Merge Replication Error When Initialising subscription
I have a SQL server 2005 server with a merge publication of 6 articles all of which are tables which is also the distributor. I have two existing subscriptions one from a SQL 2005
Server and one from a SQL Server 2008 R2 Server both of which are working fine on this publication. I am trying to setup a third subscription to another SQL Server 2008 R2 server, the only difference with this server is that it is a named instance. I have
forced the port to 1433, and created an alias on the publisher connectivity is not an issue or at least i don't think so.
when I try to initialise the subscription from a new snapshot I get the below error;
Error: 14151, Severity: 18, State: 1.
Replication-Replication Merge Subsystem: agent failed. No subscription is on this publication or article.
I've changed the agent profile and turned on verbose logging and output the results to a file the snapshot delivery is failing on the below for the first table;
call sys.sp_MSsetup_identity_range (?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?)
I've checked the subscriber and the table does indeed get dropped and created, permissions / routes don't seem to be an issue. I've included some of the verbose logging output below.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
ChrisThe error happens on this table every time.
The schema of the table is below;
CREATE TABLE [dbo].[tblEmailMessages](
[EmailMessageId] [bigint] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT FOR REPLICATION NOT NULL,
[Guid] [nvarchar](32) NOT NULL,
[Recipients] [varchar](8000) NOT NULL,

[rowguid] [uniqueidentifier] ROWGUIDCOL NOT NULL CONSTRAINT [MSmerge_df_rowguid_207F75F229994684BC3FAAE5BE4CD6EB] DEFAULT
(newsequentialid())
The table gets dropped and recreated each time i try to reinitialise the subscription. I can't remove the article at the moment as two other servers subscribe to the publication.
Thanks for your help
Chris
