ACS SE 4.01 crashing when enabled remote logging

We are running acs se 4.01 and whenever i turn on the remote logging to our agent, the ACS itself becomes unusable until I turn logging off again. Any ideas?

Hi
If you mean, that as soon as you enable remote logging, authentication starts failing, then there are some issues with remote logging.
Also consider upgrading to latest ACS version, rather then being on 4.0(1)
CSCeg40355 : Authentication failures when remote logging fails
I am pretty sure its resolved in 4.1.1
http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/action.do?hdnAction=searchBugs
Be sure to use same remote agent version, as your ACS server software version.

Prem

    Hi.
I use cisco VPN to connect to my work computer.
I can use RDC to connect to any computer on home network without issue.
Yesterday I changed to password on my work computer and now every time I try to log from my home computer RDC crashes.
I've disabled printing/clipboard on local devices and resourses, and I've deleted all the RDC cache files on the computer but I continue to have the same issues.

    Hi hg,
I didn’t found relevant settings in remote desktop connection manager, I checked the “Use multiple monitors when necessary” under tools->options, but seems like it is used for span a full screen over multiple monitors. For now I’d suggest figuring out
why your remote session keeps crushing.
I suspect the crash is not related to password changing, similar cases normally occurs after some local device driver, please try to disable the local printer in Remote desktop connection local resources first.

fcp is crashing when i'm logging clips. i get up to like ten clips logged then it crashes. i'm running fcp 5.1.4 on a mac pro Dual-Core Intel Xeon 5 gigs of ram and my storage is one 2 tb external drive.

    I don't know what's going on!
I just wanted to check adding a new contact while I'm listening to a music before starting the hard reset, but everything was OK! That's really STRANGE!
Because last night as well as 3 days ago, I was adding a new contact and it chrashed!

  • Nexus - enable remote logging of entered commands

    Hi all!
Is there same way to enable remote logging of entered commands on Nexus platform? I found only how to do it with aaa and tacacs+, but we do not have such? In classic IOS it was quite easy to do.
    Thanks.

    Hi Igor
Nexus has internal accounting log: sh accouting log
But it can be sent only to the accounting server, not to a syslog server.
If you want - you man manually export it to some log.

  • 32bpp application doesn`t display correctly or crashes when we remote via SCCM 2007 remotetool

By default remotetool’s Color Depth is set to 16 bpp
    Daniel
Synapse application is a PACS viewer used by radiology department in our hospital.
Synapse is designed to run in 32 bpp, therefore when we remote to it, the picture is not dispayed.
Instead it displays an error Your display is configured for 65536 colors. This mode is unsupported. Use 24 or 32 colour mode.
As soon as we disconnect or end the remote session. The picture on users workstation
turns black. Synapse needs to be re-launched  in order to display properly again.
Is there a way to set the Color Depth default  on remotetool to 24bbp ?
When we close the remote session, Synapse crashes or doesn’t display any pictures, leaving them black.
Here’s how the user would see it
On the other hand if we pre-set the colour depth to 24bbp before opening Synapse. Everything is displayed correctly on both admin and the remote workstation, while in a remote session.

Yes, I know this is an old post, but I’m trying to clean them up.
To my knowledge there is no way to do this, however I would suggest looking at remote desktop instead of CM0-7 Remote control.

  • Application crashes when connecting remotely to debug it

Hello again all you helpful forum-goers!
I am trying to debug an odd behavior in my application which only happens on a specific computer under specific circumstances.  In order to do so, I enabled debugging in my application, and eventually was able to see it as an option in the "Debug Application or Shared Library" menu item on my local computer (I first had to discover the hard way that you cannot change the name of the application and still have it run in debug mode, even if you change the name of the associated .ini and .aliases files also).
When I try to connect to my application, the "Connection status" display lists downloading my many subVIs, and then finally downloading my main VI.  At this point my main VI's front panel appears on my local computer.  However, everything then freezes, while on the remote computer, my application (which had been correctly waiting for the debugger to start) crashes with a generic Windows "...has encountered a problem and needs to close" message.  If I click for more information, I see that the ModName is lvrt.dll (my application is not generally real-time, but it does use a timed loop or two).
I would appreciate any suggestions as to what may be causing this error, and how to fix it.  Unfortunately since it is a work application I cannot post my code.  I am using LabVIEW 2010 SP1, and both computers are running Windows XP.
Thanks in advance for your time!
    -Joe
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Danilo,
Honestly, I'm not sure what part of the VIs could be the problem, given that the application is set to wait for debugger before starting, appears to be doing that, and yet the crash happens before I can start the application.
My main VI is a producer/consumer design pattern.  It used to be a more simple state machine, so it has an event handler case which gets called if there is no next state in the queue.  I have relatively recently added an event handler in a separate loop to make it more responsive, but due to budget constraints have only implemented a couple events in the new handler.  I do not think this causes a problem because the two handlers do not share any events.
My main VI has two separate VIs it calls in parallel to the main code: a serial port message handler, and a data logger.  Both wait on a global flag indicating the serial port initialization is complete before really doing anything.
The main code starts by doing some GUI initialization, then it attempts to open a VI server connection to detect if another of my applications is running on the same computer, reads a registry entry, and then opens 4 copies of a re-entrant serial port monitoring VI, which also wait on the serial port initialization flag.
It then goes on to run the meat of the code logic (initializing and querying serial ports, interacting with the user, etc.).
Again, I'm not sure how any of that matters given that it is appearing to correctly wait for the debugger before starting.  Any thoughts?
The front panel of my main VI isn't anything especially fancy; no sub-panels, no custom menu (no menu bar at all, in fact), no animation, etc.
    Thanks for your time!

  • Oracle instance crashing when enabling use_indirect_data_buffers=true

I have a Windows 2003 EE server (32bit) with 16GB of ram hosting a 10.2.0.2 Oracle server which is used to support a commercial software package (arcsight). I'm trying to get the Oracle backend to leverage the available system memory. I've read 50-60 different articles and posts regarding AWE and Oracle. I have successfully tuned the userva parameter in order to get the server to boot stable with the /3gb boot parameter. I've gotten to the point that the oracle instance will start up, but within about 30-60 seconds the instance will crash. Below is the information I believe that is relevant:

I appreciate any input on what to look at to further isolate this issue. I'd run into many other issues along the way (setting AWE_WINDOW_MEMORY to a proper size, setting db_block_buffers to a proper value, etc) that various forum searches helped resolve but I've not been able to find anything related to the errors I'm getting now. If I set use_indirect_data_buffers=false and tune back the db_block_buffers, the instance starts without any problems. Its just when I try and enable the use of AWE that I'm having a problem.

Just wanted to close out this tread in case anyone else runs into a similar problem. Turns out we ran into a bug documented in the below linked article (we're using AMD processors). Essentially needed to disable NUMA.
    http://blog.csdn.net/orapeasant/archive/2007/06/05/1639532.aspx
    excerpt ....
But please be aware of Bug 4494543 - affecting 10g and fixed in Oracle 11.0 ......
    ORA-7445: CORE DUMP [ACCESS_VIOLATION] WITH USE_INDIRECT_DATA_BUFFERS=TRUE
    Rediscovery Information:
    1) Using 32-Bit Oracle on a 32-Bit Windows 2003 server running on an AMD Opteron 64-Bit chip.
    2) You have set use_indirect_data_buffers=true in init.ora
Workaround: Basically disable NUMA feature on 32-Bit platform :-
    1) Set ENABLENUMA = FALSE in Windows registry for the Oracle Home.
    2) Set enableNUMA_optimizations = FALSE (init.ora)
Thanks for the help. We'll see if access to the extra memory will be useful or not .....

It looks like the issue was resolved by deleting the problem users profile off of the terminal server.  The user can now access the RD application without suffering an APPCRASH error.

  • Client PC crashing when controlling remote panel LV7.0

    Hello Everybody
I have a problem where I cannot remote control a vi using the web server.
I have installed the LV run time engine to enable me to control the vi but
it keeps crashing Internet explorer almost straight after loading up.
I can view it (monitor or snapshot) without problem.
I have tried both LV7 and 7.1 engines but to no avail.
    Any ideas?
    cheers
    /Victor

    Hi Victor,
What LabVIEW development system do you have. You can remotely control a VI only with LabVIEW Full and Professional Development Systems.
Also, please post your VI on the discussion forum so I could try to see if the behavior is reproducible (please mention the Operating Systems that the server and client machines are running).

  • Node crashes when enabling RDS for private interconnect.

    OS: oel6.3 - 2.6.39-300.17.2.el6uek.x86_64
    Grid and DB: 11.2.0.3.4
This is a two node Standard Edition cluster.
The node crashes upon restart of clusterware after following the instructions from note:751343.1 (RAC Support for RDS Over Infiniband) to enable RDS.
The cluster is running fine using ipoib for the cluster_interconnect.
    1) As the ORACLE_HOME/GI_HOME owner, stop all resources (database, listener, ASM etc) that's running from the home. When stopping database, use NORMAL or IMMEDIATE option.
    2) As root, if relinking 11gR2 Grid Infrastructure (GI) home, unlock GI home: GI_HOME/crs/install/rootcrs.pl -unlock
    3) As the ORACLE_HOME/GI_HOME owner, go to ORACLE_HOME/GI_HOME and cd to rdbms/lib
    4) As the ORACLE_HOME/GI_HOME owner, issue "make -f ins_rdbms.mk ipc_rds ioracle"

Looks to abend when asm tries to start with the message below on the console.
I have a service request open for this issue but, I am hoping someone may have seen this and has
    some way around it.

I believe OFED version is 1.5.3.3 but I am not sure if this is correct.
We have not added any third parry drivers. All that has been done to add infiniband to our build is
    a yum groupinstall iInfiniband support.
I have not tries rds-stress but rds-ping works fine and rds-info seems fine.
A service request has been opened but so far I have had better response here.

  • Windows 8.1 Pro Crashes When Enabling Hyper-V

So I bought a new HP Envy Desktop specifically for Windows Phone Development and ironically I can't get Hyper-V running. The machine just hangs on startup and eventually Windows 8.1 Pro x64 just crashes after multiple attempts after enabling Hyper-V in Windows
Programs/Features.  It's a Intel i5 with 12GB of RAM and virtualization is enabled in the BIOS.  I've read through multiple threads over the last several days and tried the following:
    - Updating all local drivers and Windows updates
    - Disabling Bluetooth
    - Uninstalling Avira AV
    - Someone also suggested disabling USB 3.0 support but I don't see an option to do this in my BIOS.
I've wasted a lot of time on this and I would really appreciate any help.
    Thanks

    Hi ericvanburen,
I found similar issue with HP Envy Desktop in HP forum , it might be due to blue tooth driver .
And I quoted the genneral solution here :
    1. Enter into BIOS setup and set Virtualization as disabled and reboot system.
    2. After booting windows 8, enter into Control panel and remove bluetooth driver.
    3. Download and install Ralink Bluetooth driver version 9.2.101.10 (SP59632)
    4. Reboot system and enable Virtualization Technology again.

  • SCCM console crashes when starting remote tools

I use SCCM console on 2 different Windows 7 computers. The working one is x86 and the non-working one is x64. The nonworking one is my main computer which is x64. It has worked in the past. So it is not a user permissions issue. When I try to use remote
tools to help users out with issues, I get the error posted below. I have not found much on this issue except to install .net, which I do have installed, as well as SP2 for SCCM. The server is also up to date with updates. I am the only one with this error
in my department of 8 people, all have no reported issues.

  • My Browser crashes when Enabling My Web-Camera?

My web-cam is ok i think, It works on the software that came with it on my laptop. I have also Uninstalled the device software and updated it.
If i go to this site called www.testwebcam.com it works perfectly fine on their and that uses Flash. It is just site like Ustream, TvJustin, Stickam, Omegle, Chatroulette.I have
Unistalled Adobe flash a dozen times and Shockwave and updated them and nothing.
If i am using IE and i try to access these site with my camera it will just close the page but if i do this on Chrome it says "The following plug in has crashed: Shockwave flash" and then will a little jigsaw un-happy face.
If i go to Youtube.com and Right click on a video and then go to settings then Adobe Flash Setting Comes up i try to click the camera option and it crashes?
I have a built in Camera on my laptop but it has only started doing this for not so long, It used to be fine.
I have searched all over the Web on forums and asked so many people for help and they just dont know what it could be, If you have any idea what this problem is please let me know it would mean so much.
    Thanks.

I'm sorry for implying you're a spammer if you're not.
This forum is specific to Adobe Camera Raw, which is a plug-in for the various Photoshops that opens raw camera files.  About as unrelated to a webcam as one can get.
Spammers do occasionally show up in these forums, making what seem like disjointed responses that contain links to other sites.  The idea is that they own those sites and are trying to drive traffic to them so they can get larger payouts from things like Google Adsense for more views of their advertisements.

  • ITunes crashes when trying to log in to the Store... Help?

I am using iTunes 11.4 on an iMac (OS X 10.6.8). Until yesterday everything worked fine, but now every time I log in to my account, iTunes freezes and crashes. I didn't do any updates and there doesn't seem to be a problem with the internet connection since it shows me that I have been logged in and I can browse the store while not logged in. My brother can log in to his account without any problem at all using my computer. Help? ):

    Hello user526627 and all,
I also have installed apex 2.2 successfully. At least I've not found any errors and this is the tail of install.log:
Thank you for installing Oracle Application Express.
Oracle Application Express is installed in the FLOWS_020200 schema.
The structure of the link to the Application Express administration services is as follows:
    http://host:port/pls/apex/apex_admin
The structure of the link to the Application Express development interface is as follows:

Interesting thing is that I am getting 404 when I use suggested http://host:port/pls/apex/apex_admin or http://host:port/pls/apex (I am using host name of the machine or ip address). However the http://host:port/pls/htmldb/ and http://host:port/pls/htmldb/apex_admin works (at least, I am getting a page without images). In addition, when I provide user name and password on the http://host:port/pls/htmldb/apex_admin page and click on 'Login' nothing happens... :(
This is a clean install. I've also used a HTMLDB 2.0 install from companion cd (Oracle10g R2 for Windows) - this had worked ok, however it did stop working when I istalled apex 2.2 on top of it. I've dropped flow-schemas and tablespaces I've created for apex 2.2 install and started the install over again. However, still no luck. Here is the command I am using to start apex 2.2 installation:
    @apexins ********** htmldb_data htmldb_files htmldb_temp /i/ none
I have installed oracle http server in a standalone home, the http server works.
    Thank you for your time,
    Daniel

  • Mozilla Crashes when trying to log into Paypal or certain banks sites?

When i load Paypal or some banks sites it connects, but as soon as i log my username and password and try to click on "LOGON" mozilla crashes.

I too was having this issue for a long time with our campus wi-fi network. After upgrading to Leopard a few months ago, I have not seen any issues. I'm not sure if this was due to an application upgrade or operating system upgrade.
I have found that using another browser such as Camino or Firefox to login usually alleviates the issue temporarily.
