ACS Se 4.2.1.15 patch 4 and Windows 2008 R2

Hi, Can anyone advise whether ACS Se and Remote Agent 4.2.1.15.4 supports Windows 2008 R2 please. Thank you.

Hi,
ACS 4.2.1.15 does not support windows 2008 R2.
ACS 5.2 supports the same.
It is a bug CSCtg12399 which is resolved on ACS 5.2.
The release notes of ACS 5.2 describing the same.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_system/5.2/release/notes/acs_52_rn.html
The following link gives details of the ACS 4.2 and Windows 2008 compatibility.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_server_for_windows/4.2/release/notes/ACS42_RN.html#wp100949
Hope this helps.

  • SAP Conversion Agent for PI 7.1 EHP 1 and Windows 2008 Support

    Hello
    I have read that some people were able to run SAP Conversion Agent on a PI 7.1 EHP1 Installation on Windows 2008 Sever. But in the Product Availability Matrix there is no support for 2008 yet.
    In the SAP Library (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/43/fc39c16bfb025ee10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm) under the release notes for SAP Conversion Agent there is still version 8.5, but when I install the actual Support Package I have Conversion Agent 8.6 running and according to information on the informatica.com site this version is running under 2008!
    Has anybody clear and actual information about which OS the newest SAP Conversion Agent for PI 7.1 EHP1 supports? Or has anyone experiance on Conversion Agent and Windows 2008 Server?
    Thanks
    Christoph

    Hi Mark
    Thanks for your reply! Fact is that in the actual Package (SP06) the version of Conversion Agent Engine supplied is not 8.5.5 as in the SAP Note mentioned, it is version 8.6.0:
    C:\Documents and Settings\pi1adm>CM_console -v
    Engine-Version: 8.6.0(Build:30)
    Engine-Syntaxversion:4.00.10
    I will oben a ticket for that ...

  • Cisco ACS 4.2 and Windows 2008 R2 CA

    Has anyone been successfully in getting a cert off of a 2008 R2 CA and imported correct in to ACS 4.2?  I've had and have seen other have the problem with creating a web server certificate from R2 (1024 bit) and putting it in ACS 4.2 only to have HTTPS/SSL no longer work correctly.  I haven't even tested the intended purpose of the cert (EAP-TLS) yet, so who knows if that works.  I've also seen through searching where some one was able to take a 2003 CA web server template and put it into R2 and it work, but I know longer have 2003 available?  Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Raun

    I have seen issues where the template on the R2 boxes are using elliptical curve cryptography, basically if the template has a '#" charcter in it is what I think causes this process to be used. Try to use a template that doesnt have this in the front and then try to generate a cert against the template you created.
    Here is a snip of the guide that I am forwarding you:
    Determining Whether to Implement Cryptography Next Generation Algorithms
    For Windows Server 2008–based version 3 certificate  templates, the option exists to configure advanced cryptographic  algorithms such as elliptic curve cryptography (ECC). Before configuring  these settings, ensure that the operating systems and applications  deployed in your environment can support these cryptographic algorithms.

  • Problem with 10.2.0.5 patch on Windows 2008 Server R2 64bit

    Hello
    I have HP server with Windows 2008 Server R2 64bit. I installed
    latest 64-bit version of Oracle Database 10.2.0.4 and everything works fine and later installed the patch 10.2.0.5 (64 bits) as the Oracle maintains that with the R2 version of the system it is necessary to correct work.
    Now, after uploading the patch database starts and closes
    after about 15 minutes and my alert log file is changed to the binary version which do not see anything (means that after patch installation (10.2.0.5) the alert log file isn't normal text file and it looks like that:
    Źýţ cśy iµ•eű .Ź ťy ťy Ř®y hčN)
    You can read only the beginning and it's very large - 13 Mb after unpacking from ZIP.
    Can anyone met with this configuration and knows how to solve
    problem?
    This is the link to my strange alert log file:

    I attached my spfile.ora file too:
    http://www.2shared.com/file/gUmID0fh/SPFILEORCL.html

    Your alertlog is corrupted, it could be something about a virus or even a problem with disk drives. Have you scanned your server with anti-virus software? Have you scanned the disks?
    Last questison: Have you upgraded your database after you installed the patch?

  • Windows 7 Enterprise and Windows 2008 R2 RDS

    Hello folks,
    Using SRSS 4.2 / SRWC 2.2 with Sun Ray Connector Windows Components software installed on the clients.
    Our test show amazing screen speed, and full 32 bit colour depth, great flash speed on Windows 2008 R2 RDS but no audio.
    Our test using Windows 7 Enterprise displayed fast graphic speed, Windows Aero disabled, no audio and cannot be changed thus the user experience is not pleasant.
    Anyone know when this will be addressed as it is crucial for any new deployments and upcoming desktop refreshes.
    Thanks!

    After talking with Sun Support, this is a known bug that is slated to get fixed in the next SRWC patch. No timeline was available for the patch.

  • Windows 2003 and windows 2008 for applications server

    hi all.
    i want to know about windows that which one is better for application server 10 R2.
    which one is better windows server 2003 or windows 2008?
    please if anyone knows about the difference and about the performance please help me out thanks.
    Any suggestion?
    sarah

    Well, Sarah, I have used both and I would recommend that Win2K3 is better, not because any fault of the iAS from Oracle but due to some quirks of the Win2K8. There are many updates available for the Win 2003 and it is well patched. To be honest, I have been using Oracle iAS for the last 5 or so years and seriously think that it is not that great product from Oracle and when combined with Windows OS, it really sucks. I have, that is why shifted my iAS to Linux and one to Solaris.

  • ADConnector v9.1.1 and Windows 2008 R2 - Supported? (OIM 9.1.0.2)

    Below is my question around the OIM AD connector version 9.1.1 and its support with Windows Server 2008 R2.
    From the AD Connector Documentation I can see that Active Directory 2008 is a supported target system by the OIM connector v9.1.1. There is no mention of Windows 2008 R2 at all in this document: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11223_01/doc.910/e11197.pdf
    My question is: Is Active Directory on Windows Server 2008 R2 supported as a target system by v9.1.1 of the AD User Management Connector. If not what version of the AD User Management connector do we need to upgrade to (9.1.1.4 or 9.1.1.5)?
    I am crossing my fingers for the answer to be that v9.1.1 does support Windows Server 2008 R2 to save us the pain of an upgrade.
    Thanks..

    It depends on if you mean "officially supported" or "will work".
    On the officially supported line AD 2008 R2 is sometimes considered different enough to need a separate certification. Check your connector release notes and if that doesn't include AD 2008 R2 open a support case with Oracle to get the official ceritification schedule.
    With 99% likelyhood it will work fine but you may end up in a non supported state which may or may not be acceptable in your organization.
    Best regards

  • Upgrade from a two tier EBS 11i 11.5.10.2 on Windows 2003 Apps and Windows 2008 R2 DB  tier to two Tier R12.2.3 both on Windows 2008 R2

    Hi,
    Any ideas about the best practices for the migration/upgrade reflected with the below question?
    I have a source EBS11i 11.5.10.2 running as a two tier configuration ( apps tier on server  ora10 on Windows 2003, DB tier 11.2.0.2 on server ora1 on Windows 8 R2. Can I use the Note 1377213.1 for a migration to a two tier configuration ( apps tier on server T10 running Windows 2008 R2 and EBS 12.2.3 and DB tier running 11.2.0.4 on Windows 2008 R2 )? What alternative approach could you suggest? As far as I know EBS11i is not certified on Windows 2008 R2 and R12.2.0 is not certified on Windows 2003.

    Yes you can by following "Application Tier Upgrades and Migrations" section -- Install 12.2 apps tier on 64-bit Windows and proceed with the upgrade.

  • Problems setting up WNA with OAS 10.1.2.0.2 and Windows 2008

    Hi,
    I am trying to set up WNA with an OAS 10.1.2.0.2 in a RHEL 4 platform. I have been able to configure Synchronization and Windows External Authentication following these steps:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/idmanage.1012/b14085/odip_actdir003.htm#i1010999
    I have also tried to configure WNA without success with those steps.
    The scenario is here:
    * OAS 10.1.2.0.2 infra in a RHEL 4
    * Windows 2008 SP1 (only i use AD from it)
    * Windows XP (client) that should be able to log in without problems when WNA is configured
    How can make it work? I haven´t find any useful documentation

  • Problems with RH 8 and Windows 2008 64-bit servers with IIS7?

    I have been informed that my company's servers are being upgraded to Windows 2008 64-bit servers with IIS7, from Windows 2003 & IIS6. Probably will be online in April 2011.
    I have a project created using WebHelp, RoboHelp HTML v5. I have RoboHelp HTML v8 (haven't had a chance to use it yet). We are currently using IE7 on XP. Does anyone have any info on issues with RoboHelp v8 WebHelp projects running on Windows 2008 64-bit servers & IIS7 that I need to be concerned about? I thought I should convert the project developed using RH 5 to and RH 8 project, then FTP it to the new server when it becomes available.
    Any helpful info would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Alden

    Acrobat 8 is not certified for Win7, particularly the x64 version. If you got the installation to go, the first step is to update AA8 to at least AA8.2. The x64 with XP required at least AA8.2 and I suspect that has not changed. I would suggest updating to the latest, either from the help menu (until no more updates are available) or by downloading the updates from the adobe.com>downloads page. For the latter, download ALL updates after your current version and install them in ORDER. They are not cummulative in most cases. You only need to reboot after the final update. The updates may get you going. If not, you may simply have to upgrade to AA9 or search for what others have been able to do in your situation.

    I solved the problem. The following code works also on 2003 and 2008.

                FileStream fileStream = new FileStream(tiff1inputFilePath, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read);

                EncoderParameter compressionEncodeParam;
                EncoderParameters encoderParams = new EncoderParameters(2);
                saveEncoder = Encoder.SaveFlag;
                compressionEncoder = Encoder.Compression;

  • HUM 1.2 and Windows 2008 - Server

    Hello,
    it is possible to run HUM with Windows 2008-Server? Problem is: It runns always CWLMS 3.2 and the customer wantes to add HUM. The hardware is not the problem.

    There is both client and server support for Windows 2008 in Ciscoworks LMS starting with release
    3.2 (Common Services V3.3). Please have a look at the following links:

    I have added the  AD RMS cluster URL and the AD RMS licensing URL to the loacl Intranet security zone (http://realercheng.wordpress.com/2013/01/23/office-2013-failed-to-create-and-consume-protected-content-with-connect-to-digital-rights-mangement-services-and-get-template/),
    however, I still get the same error.

    KimaniBob

    Hi,
    Im am using server 2008 r2 sp1 and users are using windows 7 enterprise, office 2010 pro. plus. They can see right policy
    template with office 2010.
    But now I have installed office 2013 pro. plus and added new admx files to new gpo for office 2013 also enabled this policy
    "Enter Permission Policy Default Server for Quick Access Toolbar" and this is writing in the policy \\serverhostname But I cant receiving ad rms templates from my outlook?
    Is server 2008 r2 sp1 ad rms compatible with office 2013 or am I have to install server 2012 ad rms for office 2013?
    How can I fix this problem?
    Thanks.
