ACS5.1 System Alarm [Collector] Store failure (DCACSBGLR, TacacsAccounting)

Hi,
Recently I have deployed ACS5.1 at a customer location. We are often receiving the following Alarm in the inbox.
Cisco Secure ACS - Alarm Notification
          Severity: Critical
          Alarm Name                  System Alarm [Collector]
          Cause/Trigger                  Store failure (DCACSGKOL, TacacsAccounting)
Alarm Details                   Please see Collector log for details
Generated On                  Fri Aug 13 14:25:59 UTC 2010
Please suggest the solution to understand and get rid of this Alarm. Thankyou...

Been checking around and found following CDETS that seems to be related:
CSCte88357: ACS5.1 Tacacs Accounting Report missing few attributes due to NULL char
This issue certainly causes and alarm of store failure although I can't confirm this is precisely the same case.
If this is the issue a fix is available in Cumulative patch 5.1.0.44.3 available for download on CCO

  • Why is the padlock missing from System Preferences, App Store?

I noticed that System Preferences, App Store no longer shows a padlock at the lower left hand corner, yet other System Preference windows show the padlock. Why is that? Is there a way to restore the padlock? I have already tried "repairing" my install and the padlock did not come back. Thank you.

This will answer everyone of y'all, why some have it and why some don't.
System Preferences---> Security & Privacy---> (unlock the PadLock)---> Advance---> checkmark the "Require an administrator password to access system-wide preferences."
Before I checked that, I had the same set up as FoxFifth. Where App Store, Time Machine and others did not have the PadLock. However, after checking it. The App Store and Time Machine did have a PadLock.

  • Why system alarm sound when opening an app on my MBP 13"?

Recently started to hear system alarm sound when opening an app., eg. Mail, Safari (usually from the Dock). No apparent operational problem, but quite annoying, especially since I don't know why. Happens on my 13" MBP, but not on my iMac, both running ML 10.7.4.
Repair Disk Permissions and Verify Disk both OK.
    Any clues from anyone??

Disable: Play user interface sound effects in System Preferences > Sound > Sound Effects
If that doesn't make a diffeence, check your Dashboard widgets.

  • Is the Clustra system used to store session state?

Is the Clustra system used to store session state? Is it accessible to
users? Do multiple shared memories or disk both ensure availability?

Yes, HADB (Clustra) is used to store session state. HADB is not
directly accessible to users. HADB runs on multiple nodes and achieves
high availability by replicating data across the nodes.

  • Odd System wake and HDD Failure

I came to work this morning and my storage drive was missing from the desktop. Disc Utility could not see it and when I restarted my machine I got the message that mac os could not read the drive.
Checking the console I found this:
11/11/09 3:04:37 PM kernel Wake reason = EHCI
11/11/09 3:04:37 PM Suitcase Fusion[148] * -[NSConditionLock unlock]: lock (<NSConditionLock: 0x1743a570> '(null)') unlocked from thread which did not lock it

11/11/09 3:04:38 PM kernel USB (EHCI):Port 3 on bus 0xfd has remote wakeup from some device
I googled the 'wake reason line' and apparently this is a common problem with USB hubs (my apple display is the usb hub in question and port 3 is my keyboard.) Odd since yesterday was a holiday so work was closed.
Then a few minutes later the console log recorded this:
    11/11/09 3:06:29 PM kernel AppleAHCIDiskQueueManager::setPowerState(0x7656c00, 0 -> 2) timed out after 100107 ms

Anyone have any ideas why computer woke up and why my disk failed?
Note: there are more messages in the log if it may help.
    Thanks

I just noticed something that may be important. The console also logged this:

  • Slow system when 1TB Store.E USB drive connected

    HI,
    I bought a 1TB Store.E USB drive.
After I installed the drive the whole system reacts very slow when the drive is access after not being use for a while.
Is there a standby modus and if yes, can it be switched off?
    Regards
    Heinz

    Hi
    >After I installed the drive the whole system reacts very slow when the drive is access after not being use for a while.
I think this happens because the 1TB external HDD needs to be scanned and indexed by system after the HDD has not been used for a while
You can try to check the Win 7 power options.
    http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD12017W0001R01.htm
I would recommend to disable the power saving option for the USB ports.
    Maybe this helps

  • Op System restore after HDD failure and replacement

    Hi,
I have an old dv9000 laptop with XPPro factory installed SP2, since upgraded to SP3. The hard drive failed (80Gig Seagate). I checked with the bios setup test, it said "fail" and I checked by booting from the CD drive the windows install disk. It said, no hard drive found. SO I bought a larger 1T byte drive (same mfr Seagate, same rpm 5400) and installed it. I have a network backup drive (Seagate Black armor) and I was able to restore the last backup. The cd drive booted the recovery disk for that program, the hdd light flickered and it seemed to be doing something for 3 hours, then said it was complete.
But the new drive will not boot. I read on this forum and the common recommendation was to use the System Recovery disks that came with the laptop. I dug through the boxes in the garage and found the system recovery disks and my 14 cd's made for system restore. :-) pays to keep junk sometimes. But I tried the system recovery disk and it will not boot up in the cd drive. I get a blank screen with the cursor in the upper left blinking. I went back to try the Seagate recovery disk, and now, it will not boot up either. I tried removing the new HDD. and with or without a cd in the drive it gives the message "No Op sysytem found." SO I think something has affected the CDdrive. But interestingly with the cursor blinking <cntrl><alt><delete> will reboot the machine, so maybe some part of the op system gets loaded.
It's an old machine, old op system. I shopped Hp store and only Windows8 available now. SO I'm either forced to the bleeding edge with all the new bugs and learning curve or I try to get this old machine going. Other things I've tied, hard reset, restore bios defaults.
Any thoughts you may have will be appreciated.

    Hello,
The laptop is back up and running with the new hard drive, Yay! and a new cd drive.
Here's what it took, for anybody who ever has the same problem:
The CD drive was bad. The nearest local supplier on the list that hp parts support gave me had a suitable replacement. I installed that, and the system restore disk booted and ran immediately.  I decided to check and see if the windows install disk would run and restore the sytem since I believed I had already restored the whole C: partition. It booted up but did not find the hard drive. It gave an eror message that said no drive found.  I went back to the hp system restore disk and ran that. It took several hours reformatted the disk (deleting anything I'd already put on) and rebooted itself many times. Eventualy it came up with a windows desktop. It was as the factory installed 5+ years ago. I installed the Seagate back up software and ran that. It seemed to have more options running in windows than it did running directly from the cd boot. One of the options was to restore the MBR. I had to look up what that was, Master Boot Record. I figured it should be restored. The full C: restore from backup process took another few hours, but it finished and gave an operation successfull message.
Then I rebooted and got the windows logon screen, logged in and got my desktop as it was at the time of the backup. Success.
In the future I'll look for that MBR restore, maybe it was there and I missed it the first time. I have a slight nagging worry that maybe something else caused both drives to fail at almost the same time. But, I'm not going to fuss with it. I'm hoping the machine runs well for a while longer.
Thanks to those who tried to help.

    Hi,
I would like to know which system field stores the value of height of the main window. based on that I would like to trigger an explicit page-break. Can anyone tell me that field name (table name). I have been looking into one solution which I couldnot find. this is the last option I have.
I have posted couple of posts but still struggliing with the issue.
based on the no.of lines remaining in the page I have to draw one line there and move to next page. (page break.) can anyone help me please
    thanks

    Hi,
In the main window if u create the table there r 3 options.
    header
    main
    footer.
In footer option in outputoptions there r 2 option at print time.
    at page break.
    at end of table.
U select both the options. Then u  r problem will be solved.
    Rewardpoints if useful.

  • How to get current system date and store in db

may i know how to get the current system date so that i can store it into the database

java.util.Date is NOT deprecated, just most of its methods are.
    Use
new java.sql.Date(System.currentTimeMillis());to get the current date. Note that the date in a client machine
may differ from the clock of the server!
    BTW: java.sql.Date extends java.util.Date.

  • Protocol after system shut down - power failure

    Hi experts,
I'm new at basis and I was wondering if you have any tips on what to do if there's a power failure? What should I check, are there any transactions to verify the system is integer and all transactions have been rolled back?

Power failure is a dangerous situation.
    Your database may become inconsistent.
    A quick checklist would be:
-Try starting only the database first, don't start sap, database most probably wont and might need some sort of recovery ( i am quoting oracle database here) do the required recovery or troubleshooting and make sure that database is not giving out any errors in its log files. if database starts up correctly all is fine.
-if the database starts, start sap, sap normally should start up correctly.
-if SAP starts properly, check system log SM21
-check SM13 check for any failed updates - if there have been failed ones, one needs to carefully analyse them.
-check if the system log is not showing any logs
-check ST22 is not giving any wierd dumps (if it is investigate why)
Can't think of much right now.. maybe you can wait and see what others have to say.

  • Customize system/alarm sounds

    Hi there,
How can I customize the alarm/event/system sounds?
For instance if I receive an email to play a concret sound.mp3.
    Something like that...
    Many thanks in advance.

Re: “they have to be AIFF”…
Most of mine are .aiff, but several are .wav and they all work perfectly. That's why I wrote what I did. The uncertainty I expressed was because I am not sure whether OTHER formats will also work.

  • New system through app store

i bought a new macbook pro about a month ago (june 12th) and the guy that helped me said i would get the new system (lion?) through the app store for free....but it's not happening, what should i do?

Be patient, the download depending on your bandwidth will take ahwile...45 minutes or more. The download should show progress in the Purchases tab of the Mac App Store.
You should not lose any data, but is your data backed up?
If you have the opportunity to backup you can still do that. After the download is complete the installer will be located in your Applications Folder. Before you actually proceed with the installation you should backup your data as a precaution.

I Have an iPad mini operating on 7.1.2 iOS. My App Store icon as well as my iTunes Store icon are missing from my home scree. They are still listed under my settings, but I can't access them unless it's through an app that already exists. Where can I go to reinstall these?  I use the same Apple ID on my iPhone 5c as well and they are on the iPhone, but I don't know how or why they just disappeared from my iPad and want to know how to get them back without having to reset my iPad and lose what I have on it. Thanks so much! My grandaughters played games on the iPad over Xmas and one of their moms said shed restricted their access! Guess they forgot to enable again. Thank you again! Karla

  • How do I install the operating system on a store bought hard drive?

I purchased a hard drive from best buy to replace the one that died on my hp G60-501.  When I try to run the system install disk, it runs through the entire thing (around 1.5 hours).  When it finally finishes, it says that it needs to be reinstalled.  I have done this several times but to no avail.  I was told that the drive needs to be tatooed for HP.  WHat does this mean?  How do I do it?  Is it something that I can do on my own?

There should be no need to tattoo anything. What type of system install disk are you using? Is it the one you made when the computer was new using the DVD burner? I am suspecting a problem with the recovery disk. What brand of hard drive is it? We can get you a utility disk for the drive and I suggest wiping it clean and starting over. You should be able to order an HP recovery disk or just use a retail or OEM Windows disk.
