Action box not visible in Notifications

We are working with Notification type 71 for ISR New User. When we issue a notification the action box is not visible in some of the requests.
Any idea where the issue might be?

I think you want to 'hide' the click box, so that it is not active, in the Properties panel? A click box itself is never visible to the user on the stage, but can be active or not.
I always copy/paste an invisible object, it will keep its properties. Since a click box has no style, you cannot apply a style to all click boxes.

Action Box customizing for Quality notifications

Hi all,
In the customizing Quality Notifications ->Qualyty Notifications->Notification processing->Aditional Notification Funtions->Define Action Box. Inside of de Action definitions, a field for Workflows or Standard Task is avalilable. (in specific details for task).
Any one know how it works? No Binding defined?
I mean, in the customizing of Quality notification Actions, Workflow (or TS) could be included in the specific detail. I do not understand how that could work since no binding is defined.

Finally after a lot of tests, looks like the Workflow is trigered when save and recieve a Task object for inport parameter (I mean, my Workflow has as input object QMSM and it is been populated - Create Workitem in error if I add Notification as input too).
I hope this would be usefull if someone more has the same doubt in the future and look for some help in this foro.

Action Box configuration in Quality Notification

My client has configured a new notificatiion type (copy of F2). I am not seeing full action box there. I am keen to see "request 8D report" in action box.
I am able to see "request 8D report "in F2 action box.
Can you pls advise how can I get action box configured to show " request 8D report"in new notification type.

ITunes 12: Buttons missing in dialog boxes (not visible)

Hello.
Since using iTunes 12 (in my case: German version) buttons like YES/NO or OK/CANCEL are not shown in smaller dialog boxes when iTunes wants to interact with the user and asks question whether to do this or to do that.
The buttons are just not visible, the boxes are too small and they cannot be resized (= fixed size). I think this could be due to longer German texts in the dialog boxes compared to the English language version.
The buttons are there but cannot be seen or clicked.
Screen resolution is 1920x1200 and text zoom factor is 100% in Windows 7. Window size for these dialog boxes seems to be hard-corded and due to line breaks and longer texts in German the YES/NO buttons seem to get an unexpected carriage return moving the buttons out of the visible area.
Please fix this!

Services for object box not visible for some users

Dear All,
PM module experts please help. In equipment master transaction IE02 in left hand top corner we get box for SERVICES FOR OBJECT which is useful for attaching external documents like word and excel. but problem is it is not visible for some users. Our security/authorisation team has also done some check but didn't get any solution.
anybody knows the reason why there is no box availabe?

Due to an error in the coding, it was possible to link a Word document to a Document in IE01. Because the data cannot be saved in transaction IE01, the linked document is lost after leaving the transaction.

Return results from custom dialog box not visibly updating field value

I have a form with custom dialog boxes (execDialog) for data entry. The dialog box is being called from the Entry event successfully. I also have it called from the Click event. So, here's what I get:
1. On entering the field, I get the dialog box pop up, I select a value, it visibly changes the field raw value and leaves focus in the field.
2. If I exit the field and re-enter, it also works as in point 1 (as expected)
3. If, while focus is already in the field, I click in the field, I get the dialog box, as expected, but after selecting a value from the dialog, the field raw value DOES NOT VISIBLY change until I exit the field! It's kind of like the click event is working in conjunction with the Exit event. This is totally counter-intuitive for a production form that is being designed for the general populace.
Anyone had any experience with this?

force the focus off of the text box in code. You can do a little trick
where you bounce it to a tiny transparent field, which then bounds the focus

What I ended up doing was calling up the dialog box, then using setfocus with no parameters to remove focus from the field, as follows:
this.rawValue = this.dialogBoxFunction(this.rawValue); // passing current value so dialog box defaults to that value
xfa.host.setFocus();

Dialog Box not visible

Hello All,
I've a problem in Java Swing Application
My main Window opens up a child window (dialog box).
However, when I switch from my Java Application to another application and back again - the dialog box does not appear. Instead the main window is shown on the screen.
It's only after pressing ALT+TAB on my Java Swing Application, the dialog box appears.
This is problematic b'cause the dialog box is "modal" and if it does not appear first, I cannot do anything with the main window.
Is there a way to correct this?

I did find the problem by tracing it to the bug database:

It seems that if you pass the "this" instance (of JFrame) directly to JDialog, the problem occurs.
However, if you pass the object that holds the JFrame instance, like you've mentioned above, the problem goes away.
I am still not satisfied as to how this occurs.
But for now, my immediate problem is resolved.

QM02 - notifications - update document flow for new action box item

I have added a new action box item on qm02 (notifications). I am created a PO and a delivery. I wish to update the document flow to include these new records.
I am trying to work with function qmlr_create_document_flow without success.
Does anyone know how to do this?

1) Yes, I was also thinking that 2 preceding docs may not be possible in a doc flow, and had also indicated the same to my customer. However, wanted to be 100% sure that it cannot be done.
2) I cannot go ahead with a Service/Release Order. The requirement is to create a Return Order or a Credit Memo Request (CR) directly from the Service Notification and any other order is not in scope.
I was thinking of something as below:
The Service Notification header is linked to Return Order header only, there are no links at the item level. Is it a feasible solution to have a doc flow between invoice items & return order items, since return order items are not yet linked?....I am just thinking of different things to find a solution!

Text boxes are not visible

Hello. A page in my InDesign document appears to be broken. Text boxes are not visible, they can only mark if I choose command + a. Then I can copy the object and paste into another document in which they appear. You can not delete the page when the crash program. What could be wrong?

Re text boxes not visible try: View > Screen Mode > Normal.
It's not a good idea to copy and paste, use Place: File > Place.
Re your crashing, maybe you should reset your Preferences.

I think what you are doing is.....trying to enter the Q4 directly in Action Box screen..........but what is required here is first to create a Notification Type Q4 in Notification Creation Screen of Customizing in QM. Then this notification type will automatically appear in the Action Box notification display. There only you have to select this Notification Type & assign it the Activities & Dependent follow up actions.

QM action box authorization

Hi Gurus,
I'm building my authorization profiles, I need to give to authorization for the action box of the quality notifications, what authorization object or transaction should I search.
I gave the user transaction QST01 (for creating stability studies) but the action box was not complete, I got only the 1st 2 actions.
How can get the rest of the actions?

Thank you, we were having a similar problem (the authorization failures for this process are just not very helpful) and this solved it.
The role in question was, in our version, SAP_EP_LO_QM_QST00
Our design calls for "not using standard roles", but we simply copied that one.

Vendor notification Action box

Hi,
I have a problem with in vendor notification X1, when login SAP in other language and go to the QM02 transaction , in action box two item description shown below is missing
1.Action Required
2. Receipt of evidence.
In English login its coming but in Other language login its not coming
please suggest how to resolve this problem

You will have to maintain all the descriptions in the login language again.
Go to SPRO and define the action box description in the required language.
And it may be also because the language is not completely installed.

Notifications: Action Box

Hello Everybody,
Regarding to notifications: action box (follow-up actions) ... Does any of you have previous experience with function modules?
I'm looking for some out of the box function modules when called it up can trigger the following actions:
1) Send an email to a specified person
2) Create a maintenance notification (not a quality notification)
3) Create a maintenance plan
Any clue will be welcome.

I know for a fact there isn't one for creating a maintenance plan..
Have a look at the standard options by going to TCode SE37 and search for QM06*
You can always create your own function modules which can do just about anything...
