Action Pane in BPC Excel is not Coming

Hi All
I am facing a sudden issue in BPC 7.5 MS Version. I am not able to view the Action Pane for BPC Excel. But it was coming before.
Also the Action Pane is coming for BPC WORD & BPC POWER POINT.
I have chekced the option under e-tools > VIEW PLANNING & CONSOLIDATION ACTION PANE. But nothing is coming.
At the same time the BP CEXCEL ACTION PANE IS ALSO NOT MINIMIZED .
Can anyone advised how to resolve this issue.

You can clear the local application information by following the below steps
eTools -> Client Options -> Clear Local Application Information
or else to do it manually, delete the Outlooksoft folder in the users %My Documents% directory, and delete the regsitry keys
HCKU\Software\VB and VBA Program Setting\

Hi Venkat,
if your sp is 3 or lower then this is an old issue and you have to upgrade to sp4 or higher, if it occurs on web see please this note 1746878 - BPC MS: Action Pane Disappears from BPC Web Interface otherwise plese add you sp version.

Download to excel in not coming in alv popup

Hi All,
Please have a look at the demo program SALV_DEMO_TABLE_POPUP. The ALV displayed as a popup don not have button to download the data into a excel sheet/ spread sheet. Can someone please suggest how it can be added to alv toolbar ?
I have similar requirement to display alv as popup with that button.
I dont have any choice to use any other way to create ALV apart from CL_SALV_TABLE class.

BPC NW - Action pane not appearing in excel client

Dears,
I am working with excel (2003 SP3) BPC 7 NW client on my laptop, remotely connected to a WDF server (windows vista).
I just cannot activate the BPC action pane from the etools menu. I have already tried under .xls , xlt and .xltm formats.
It seems the BPC macros are not correctly installed.
Could anybody kindly give me a solution please?

What version of SAP BPC NW are you using?
Windows vista is not supported before SP2 of SAP BPC 7.0 NW which will be released 13 March 2009.

Data Manager not available in the BPC 7.0 Action Pane

Hi,
I have just installed BPC 7.0 and everything is working fine, except I don't have access to the Data Manager.
According to the BPC guide, this is how to start Data Manager:
1. Click the Business Planning and Consolidation icon on your desktop.
2. From the Business Planning and Consolidation launch page, select Business Planning and Consolidation for Excel.
3. From the Getting Started - BPC for Excel action pane, select Manage Data.
I don't have "Manage Data" as an option in the Action Pane. The options I have under Available Task Categories are: "Reporting & Analysis", "Journals" and "Open System Reports".
I also do not have a menu called eData.
Any ideas on what I can do?

Issue whith action pane when using BPC for excel in Spanish - BPC 7.5 NW

Hi experts,
We just migrated from BPC NW 7.0 to BPC NW 7.5 and we are having a situation with our BPC for excel client now that if we open it with an english instalation everything is ok but if one client with a spanish instalation opens BPC for Excel, the action pane is empty. On 7.0 version everythng worked ok on spanish. Any idea of how to solve it?

Please note that the best practice is to use one language. However, if a number of languages must be used the following solutions may be applied:
If you want end-users to see the very same descriptions in various languages, you may copy the descriptions from one language over to another in BPC Admin Client.
If you want them to see native descriptions in the language the end-user is logged on under, you may log on to BPC Admin Client in the language(spanish) the descriptions are missing for and enter them. Do not forget to process the dimension. Refresh dimension members on client side and process all the dimensions. Now, English descriptions are seen under English and Spanish under Spanish anit is the way it works because SAP has description against EN language only and not spanish

BPC NW 7.5Sp05 - Client on Windows 7 does not display Action Pane correctly

We have BPC NW 7.5 SP05 installed and running successfully however have an issue with the Client software displaying the Action Pane correctly on our client machines.
Client machines are Windows 7 64 bit. Screen display size is 1920 x 1080
After logging on to the Client, the Action Pane is cut off to the left hand side of the pane. i.e.. Text is not displayed in full e.g.. "le Interfaces" can be seen as opposed to "Available Interfaces". We can minimize this action pane and the section allocated to action pane seem to expand to a wider width however when we maximize the "action pane" again, the section returns to the smaller size.
I have tested the Client software on the server (ie. Windows 2003) and the client screen appears as it should, with all details being displayed in the action pane.
Has anyone come across this issue or similar with Windows 7?

This might be the original solution.
The resolution of the screen controls how the windows are displayed and BPC is no exception. Having said this, it will be great if we can experiment the same thing with few more machines with same setting.
Alternately, you can definitely create a ticket with SAP.

BPF in Action pane not showing

Hi experts,
We created bpf in BPC7.5ms SP5 and our client is using 32bit MS office 2007 some using MS 2010 32bit.,
When we tried to click the link in the bpf to open a template. the template usually opens. but the the problem is that the
bpf menu in the action pane doesnt exist. eg (Workflow instructions - back to bpf, preview data, set work status).
we mostly encountered that error in MS 2007.

i am using 'RSPO_RETURN_ABAP_SPOOLJOB' and 'SO_RAW_TO_RTF' function module and after that i loop the internal table value in one string . my problem is that excel alignment is not coming proper and all are coming in one cell . please help me i need to finish this requirement

Not able to login BPC Excel

Experts,
Today I have installed BPC front end Excel and not able to connect with my user ID.
In my BI 7.0 system can see BPC 7.0 componenet and Iused BI 7 login details to access BPC excel with BI 7 IP address.
Could you please suggest me do I need make any other setting before I login into BPC excel.

Could you please let me know which profile is required. I have SAP_ALL profile for my user ID.
When I open BPC excel I entered IP address which is same as BI 7.0 system and than it asked user ID and Password . I used BI 7.0 login details but not able to connect.

Hierarchy not update in CV of BPC Excel

I have modified my hierarchy in BPC admin, but when I login to BPC Excel, the hierarchy for that dimension is not updated, still shows the original hierarchy, Anybody know how to fix it?

To open a BPC excel input schedule through a Business Process Flow

Hi,
I have a Business Process Flow that has to open an excel input schedule.
In the define actions tab of a Process step, I have chosen the BPC for excel interface and open template option.
I browsed the necessary template to be opened.I have also provided the required inputs for member selection.
Now when I open the Business Process Flow and Select this Process step, it opens only the BPC for excel interface and not the excel input schedule template.
Can anyone expalin the reason that caused this problem and also a solution to fix this issue ?
PS :I am trying to open this Business Process Flow using BPC Web and my BPC for excel is not open yet.

Interface for Excel does not work in Windows 7 - Important

Im using BPC 75 MS SP04 with a computer Windows 7, IE 9, Office 2007. Apparently the Excel works "fine", the issue is that whenever I try to access to Interface for web from the main page (clicking the icon) it does not work, does not do anything...
What do you suggest to do?
Working directly in excel is not a problem, accesing to templates vía "Etools - Open dynamic templates" is fine.
The issue is that users that have every access controlled by BPF's (using Interface for Web) cannot work.
Also, we use a template that uses 12 EVDRE reports in the background, we know it is a lot... but it was required like that.
Once accesing to this template vía Etools -Open dynamic template... Excel gets stuck and I have to force it to shut down.
Also Im working with a Vista system, Office 2003.
For this systems, we also use the template EVDRE (12 reports). Once any of both systems access to this specific template, Excel gets stuck and I have to shut it down. Any other template is able to work with, but these 2 machines (7 and Vista) cant.

Based on SAP Note: 1603248, IE9 is not supported on BPC 7 and 7.5.
So you have to revert to IE8.
Only IE8 and IE7 are supported in 7.5 MS.

The error message:
[Thr 35212] JLaunchIExitJava: exit hook is called (rc = -11113)
Indicates that one of the core services did not start. The Service Managers controls the life cycle of all services. The services that provide core functionality must always be running. If one of the core services fails to start, the Service Manager exits with an exit code -11113.
To find the name of the core service that failed to start please see the end of the std_server0.out file.
Furthermore the reason why the service failed to start will be evident in the defaultTrace.X.trc file in the server0/log directory.
