Sounds like a phishing attempt. They want your Apple Store information in a reply to the e-mail to steal your identity. Apple generally is good in their e-mails about spelling, spacing, and punctuation. Whenever you see something remotely unEnglish about an e-mail, suspect it to not be real. Verify with the store you ordered from that there is an investigation. DO NOT RESPOND TO THE E-MAIL directly or through links in the e-mail.

I lost my MacBook calendar when I performed the action required by 5 May although I have all information on my iPhone and iPad. How do I restore the data on my iCal calendar?

I have performed all the relevant actions required before 5 May to conform with Apple instructions. I have lost my calendar on my MacBook although all is still OK on my iPhone and iPad. I have tried various ways to restore the data including going to MobileMe but I have been unsuccessful. I have tried to merge the information from my iPhone but this did not work either. My Contacts and mail are all OK. Coincidentally I am also unable to access my external hard drive which is working in itself (it is warm and whirrs when activated) but my back ups are failing. Any ideas out there?

Any Way to Make an Action Require Authentication?

Hi,
Is there any way to make an Automator action require user authentication before running? Before some of my actions execute, I want the OSX authentication screen to pop up, the way it does during software installation, when the Mac wakes from sleep, when a user tries to change something in the System Preferences, and so on. I'd also like to make sure that before these particular Automator actions run, they accept authentication from a particular user only. That way, other users won't be able to copy the actions in question to their own accounts and run them after authenticating with their own passwords.

I don't particularly want to know enough about AppleScript tokens to tell what the specific code statements are, but in this example I can see enough to make some guesses about a password dialog.
Since these kinds of things are still readable in a run-only script, if one isn't going to use something like a keychain and has to put in some kind of password test, care must be taken to obfuscate the related items so that a casual glance doesn't give things away. Dynamically building any check strings and dialog texts, not using obvious variable names, and scattering code across multiple handlers will make it harder to guess what the password is.

Why do I keep receiving account action required notification

Why does my phone keep posting "account action required" ? Tried to reset g-mail password as requested but phone just keeps recycling "account action required". What is the fix?

It looks like you have the old Droid Razr Maxx which I had for two years.! If you have your contacts set up threw Google run a Factory Reset, don't run the Full reset that clears everything.. and then when you restart the phone re-inter your Gmail.. Account and your contacts and other things will flow back in as they were some things you'll have to re-establish as you had on it before but doing the F.R. should get it back on track..

Hi evrybody, it makes me sick i need to get data form database and fill combobox in required order (last item added to database - last firstName) actualy i already did that, but i'm useing DefaultComboBoxModel and all records are sorted in alphabetical order. Thanks very much for any help

The items in the JComboBox are displayed in the order in which you add them to the combo box. Use an order by clause in your SQL statement.

Utterly bizarre. I can't see your two follow-up posts when I'm logged in. However...
Things would be simple if Apple implemented Data Detectors for dates in Numbers, as they have in applications like TextEdit and Script Editor. Then you’d have a system-level means of quickly moving from a selected date in your CRM spreadsheet to Calendar.
Until that happy day arrives, though, we can approximate it with AppleScript and Automator.
First, make sure your Numbers table is called CRM and your column has the header Next action required. (You can change these if you want but you’ll also have to modify the script.) This is the basic setup:
Then, launch Automator and create a new workflow. From the Choose a type… dialog, specify Service.
At the top of the workflow, “Services receives selected…” should be set to text in Numbers.app. (You'll need to choose Other... from the pop-up and then navigate to Numbers.)
In the Library menu at the left, click on Utilities, then drag a Run AppleScript action into the main Automator pane. Delete all the boilerplate text from the script.
It should look like this:

Click the little hammer at the top to make sure that the script compiles (indents and colours in). If it doesn’t, you may need to sort out some line breaks in the copied and pasted script.
Now save the workflow as Go to date in Calendar. Quit Automator.
So what does the script do? Basically, it looks at the selected text in a Numbers cell and checks to see that the table name is “CRM” and the column header is “Next Action Required”. It then tries to convert the selected text into a valid date. If it can, it takes you to that date in Calendar. If it can’t, it takes you to today’s date. In both cases it switches Calendar to day view. You have to bear in mind that if you select all of “10/10/14 Call John re contract” it won’t understand that part of this is a date, and won’t go to October 10. You'd have to select just "10/10/14"
To run the Service, right-click or control-click on the selected text and go down to Services, then choose Go to date in Calendar:
Alternatively, run it from Services in the main Numbers menu.
You can set up a keyboard shortcut for any Service in System Preferences - Keyboard - Shortcuts. Post back if you need more info about this.
Tested with Numbers 3.5 (2109). This will not work with Numbers '09.

Displaying "Required Label with Help" icon dynamically

Hi,
I have an item say 'Dept Name', P1_DEPT_NAME
This field is mandatory in case of CREATE and optional in case of UPDATE.
- so in case of CREATE, I need to put the ICON (Required Label with Help) along with the Label 'Dept Name'
- in case of UPDATE, I don't need the ICON (Required Label with Help) along with the Label 'Dept Name' as it is an optional field.
How can I change the label dynamically.
the path of the icon is shown below but don't know where to put this as per my requirement.

It doesn't happen with every app and I’m concerned that these apps may be trying to collent my password. Is Apple really doing a double check on my password?
