Action Script Link NOT WORKING
This is odd and I hope someone can provide me with an answer.
I am using actionscript within my flash file to open other HTML
file within my site. I have done this many times and have never had
a problem. Now, my actionscript links work on my server when I am
viewing my live site, but the actionscript will not work when
running my site from my C Drive. Has anyone had this issue or have
an answer on how to fix it? Maybe I need to change an IE 6
setting.

To simply open an external Link from Flash, should work
locally too. Even if you are not connected to the Internet, your
Browser should still open.

New to Flash CS4, but could do basic button stuff like this in Flash MX 2004. (Haven't been doing anything with Flash in the meantime, but now have CS4 and am determined to get back into it.)
I chose Action script 2 when starting, and in the publish settings. Made some very simple buttons and used the action script assistant but cannot figure out why they are not working. i keep going around and around and getting nowhere.

First if you really don't know AS2 all that well, but you want to get into coding I would suggest starting with AS3. It is the future and if you have to learn new stuff it might as well be the newest, new stuff. AS3 is the future of Actionscript and Flash. It is a little more complex in some respects, but in many others it isn't that much more difficult and it really helps if you haven't learned all kinds of "bad" ideas from how AS2 was....
Next, if you decide to stick with AS2, I would suggest learning the latest ways of doing stuff in AS2. Using the on(event) type of coding is really old and it won't serve you well if you want to advance very far with your coding.Here is a great article on the transition to the newer style and why it is a good idea:

After that, consider ditching buttons all together. They are really twitchy and strange and most people I know gave them up when movieclips could have button events attached to them.
Finally on the issue of Scenes, they are a great way for timeline animators to organize their content. And they are great when everything is just played back to back. In fact that is what happens to scenes, when you publish the timelines are strung together in sequence and then the "scenes" are deleted. The whole thing becomes just one big long timeline. The problems come in when you start using code to move the playhead around. The documentation seems pretty straight forward and it should work, but there are just several little tricky things where it doesn't work. Sounds can cause problems too. So if you plan to use code I always recommend that you use movieclips to organize your "scenes" and not the actual scenes.... -
Yeah I have also experienced links not working when I import my .oam file from Adobe Edge Animate also. Is there anything the Muse team is doing to fix this issue? I need a response from you guys by the end of the week. my company website is malfunctioning due to issues with your software. If there is some sort of hotfix please let us know.
When you install the software illegally, using a volume license, there is a script you can run that will enter all of the adobe servers into your local DNS hosts file so the software can be activated. This makes accessing those domains impossible. This scenario fits the description of your issue, not suggesting anything beyond that.
The hosts file is in /private/etc/hosts and can be accessed through the terminal:
sudo nano /private/etc/hosts
If you see a bunch of adobe servers in there, that is your problem. -

Swf link not working in Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer but works in Safari

I'm sorry but Im a real newbie and really need help!!!
On the homepage of my website I have put a swf file that I linked to another page in my website through the div a href link and it displays great on safari and links, however in other browsers, when i try to click on it, it comes up with the link at the bottom of the browser (where it sometimes says Done), however it doesnt actually link, it jsut stays on the homepage.

Basically I wanted a swf file from Flash to display a range of products (I have turned all the products into buttons) and then I put coding into all the buttons to on release getURL which work in the swf file, however when I put the swf file into dreamweaver, the buttons worked in hover state, but the action scripting didn't work to link the swf file to another page in the website (the index in Our_brands folder).
So i decided to make it link to the index.html in Our_brands folder from wrapping the swf box in a div tag and linking the div tag <a href="Our_brands/index.html"> which links it great in Safari but wont link in Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer.
Does that make any sense?

According to your description, my understanding is that the add new document link was not working on machine where Office web apps set up with this SharePoint server after you upgraded SharePoint team sites
from 2010 to 2013.
For your issue, it can be caused by integrating Office Web Apps with upgraded SharePoint Site.
Firstly please make sure claims-based authentication is used by the SharePoint web application that is used to create the new document. Only web applications that use claims-based authentication can open
files in Office Web Apps. To determine the authentication provider for a web application, follow these steps:
1.In SharePoint 2013 Central Administration, click Manage web applications.
2.Select the web application that you want to check, and click Authentication Providers on the ribbon.
The authentication provider must be displayed as Claims Based Authentication for Office Web Apps to work correctly with the web application. To resolve this issue, you can delete the web application and recreate
it using claims-based authentication, or you can change the authentication method of the web application.
Secondly, make sure the WOPI zones match on the SharePoint 2013 and the Office Web Apps Server farm.
To do this, run the following command on the SharePoint Server:
Get-SPWopiZone
The result will be one of the following:.
internal-https
internal-http
external-https
external-http
Next, run the following command on the SharePoint Server.
Get-SPWOPIBinding
In the output, look for WopiZone: zone. If the results from Get-SPWopiZone don’t match the zone that is returned by Get-SPWOPIBinding, run the Set-SPWOPIZone -Zone cmdlet on the SharePoint Server to change
the WOPI zone to match the result from Get-SPWOPIBinding.
If not work, you can try to disconnect SharePoint 2013 from Office Web Apps Server and re-configure Office Web Apps for SharePoint 2013.

Script does not work anymore after updating to FM 12.0.3
Hi,
With TCS5, Robohelp would crash when importing FrameMaker books to RH, because the FM files had embedded graphics. So, I found a script to externalize the graphics before doing the import (the script is: ExtendScript of the week: Externalizing Graphics « TechComm Central by Adobe). However, this script is not working since I updated from 12.0.2 to 12.0.3. And without this script, we can't create HTML5 output!
Although I wrote a few simple scripts, this one is quite complex and would be difficult to debug. Anyone here knows what could have changed to make the script useless after such a small update? Or can update this script to make it work?

For those who would like to know... I made this script work with 12.0.3. I simply removed the instructions that added an item in the File menu and stuff about a report, which I don't think ever worked. So, I still don't know exactly why it didn't work anymore (don't have time or knowledge to investigate), but I'm still interested to know. -

I've found that cross-frame scripting is not working in Safari 3.0.4, as it worked
ok on Safari 3.0.1, and in other browsers I tried: Firefox, Mozilla, IE.
document.domain property is set to "ds2ps.net", correctly to the best of my knowledge
in the frameset and in both frames. Both frames and frameset are loaded
from subdomains of the same domain "ds2ps.net"
Please have a look at this mimimal example:

Press buttons to get alert with value of a variable defined in the frameset
and in the first frame.
This gives "undefined" in Safari 3.0.4, and give following message in Safari
JavaScript console:
Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL http://frameset.ds2ps.net/frames-test/frameset.html from frame with URL http://frame2.ds2ps.net/frames-test/frame2.html. Domains, protocols and ports must match.
Works ok in all other browsers and in earlier versions of Safari.
Apperently, I'm doing something incorrectly.
I would appreciate if Apple Safari developers have a look at this problem and suggest solution.

win.show();You should use the scripting forum. I only hack at Photoshop scripting when I need to. What I put together is usually made from code I find on the web and modify to do what I want to do. When it come down to it I really don't know javascript. Your javascript knowledge is way beyond mine. To tell the truth I don'e even understand the syntax of you first statment after target Photoshop.
I have a programming background but most of mine was was in design, debugging, and developing programming development tools. I retired back in 2002. I never got into Object orientated programming though it was in full swing as was C programming along with java. Microsoft had given up on its object orientate desktop OS2 system sidetracking IBM with it.
I did not look closely at your code. That something you should do. You know more then I do.....
In the scripting forum you will get better help then I can give you. Many of the better scriptwriter seem to have left there becase of frustration with Adobe support. However there are some that still visit there regularly.
You may want to look into Xtools there open source and the author still visits the forum from time to time. I have use some of his scripts but have never gotten into his library I'm retired I only play a little to keep some brain function. ps-scripts - Browse /xtools at SourceForge.net -

I'm trying to make a switch from SAP to PeopleSoft. I tought it easier to install PSFT since the number of source to install is much less than SAP. However, I kept getting same error where the links not working no matter which environment I tried to install.

HCM 9.1, PTOOLS 8.52, Oracle 11g 64 bit, Oracle Client 32 bit.
First Try:
Install on windows 7 64bit. Everything works fine until first login to the PSFT and all links not working.
Suggestion from Hakan is to apply the patch and gave me a link to the old FTP site. I downloaded the 85209 patch but got password.
Finally I managed to get a customer ID from a friend and downloaded Patch 85211 and applied. But got java error so I scrapped it.
Anyway, Gasparotto said the environment is not certified and will not fix my problem with the patch.
Second Try:
Installed Virtual Box.
Installed Windows 2008 R2 and applied the SP1.
Installed everything all over again.
Ensured the PTWEBSERVER password similar the username.
Everything works fine but when login to PSFT, again..... links not working and see on the bottom left corner there are some javascript error where they cannot find certain peoplesoft objects..
Just upgraded to IE 9 because I read somewhere IE 8 is not certified.
Tried to login again, no error message and everything looks fine but... links not working.
Logs also looks normal to me.
Does anyone ever encountered similar issues before?
Does this is a normal behaviour before tools patch 85211 being applied ?

Does this is a normal behaviour before tools patch 85211 being applied ?Without patch, you have the error you mentioned. How many time I told that 8.52.03 min. is required, I did not go further, but there was some bugs before which make it not working.
I understand that's rather frustrating for people who wants to jump to Peoplesoft. I don't know SAP, but here you go, Peoplesoft is not a simple toy.
Unfortunately, if you have no access to My Oracle Support to get the Peoplesoft patches, you have no way but work on Peoplesoft OVM (free of use), and to use them on VirtualBox, the Jim's articles are worth to follow.

My last install guide is quite old now (PT8.50/Linux), even though it did not change very much within the last tools 8.52. But seeing the number of time such questions have asked over here (PT8.52 on Windows), I'm thinking to write one more, that time on Windows. -
how to set up the interaction between InDesign CS6 8.0 and Photoshop CS 6 - if Photoshop is installed and the 64 and 32-bit?? default InDesign refers to the 64-bit version of Photoshop and scripts do not work.

Linking PE51 Form and SAPScript Form
I have found quite a few posts on this topic but I didn't find anything conclusive. We have an SAPScript form and a PE51 form. We run the Pre-program DME where we specify the PE51 form name. Then we run the DME program. But the form is not generated.
