    Robert,
For any normal Export, simply cilick the list of option and further click on Edit.  There deselect to include Metadata, and there will be no EXIF data exported.  But no copyright info either.
The option already exists to do what you want.  Once a normal Export has deselected that, I believe even exports via plugin for say FB will not have it either.  I tested with an export to SmugMug after deselecting in an earlier ordinary export, and EXIF info was not transmitted.

  • Removing Exif Data with out using "Save for Web"

I have very large files.  I need to remove thw EXIF data.  I do not want to use "save for web" because it impacts the quality and size (recompresses) of the files.  I need the files to remain un changed except for the removal of the EXIF data.
I have a large number of files to do this to.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks

Thanks Tai Lao for the shortcuts.
I have RAW files to start.  I "process" them and convert to jpg.  Then send them to the client.  But there are times the client doesn't need to be able to view the EXIF data, soooo....
    1. I'm working on seting up an action to convert the processed RAW files to TIFF first,
    2. then, using the shortcuts you listed, set up an action to take the tiff files through the process to strip them of the EXIF data and,
    3. then convert the resulting "EXIF-less" TIFF files to jpg - also using an action.  I'm going to try to build one action to do the whole thing but so far I'm still experimenting... I have to keep the file names...
    Anyway, I'll post my findings.
    Thanks
To whomever left the info about Exiftool - Thanks for that info as well.  I'll check it out but is seems a bit too complicated for large numbers of files.

  • Using  FDM Import Action script to import data from ERPI table "tdataseg_t"

    Hi Experts
I have extracted data from EBS using ERPI and loaded into the intermediate table "tdataseg_t"
I am trying to use Import Action script within FDM to extract data from "tdataseg_t" table (where ERPI extract data is stored) as i could not use the normal import script.
Requirement : I have to restrict the custom 2 dimension based on Account dimension.
    Dim Account
    Account = ???? ( i am struck here)
    If Account = 1000 to 5000 Then
    Custom2 = Right( product , 5)
    End If
but , I could not find the exact syntax to call the Account dimension from the "tdataseg_t" table.
    Please Advise
    Thanks

    Hello,
Importing data via a manual script defeats the purpose of ERPi. As it will not provide you an audit trail, drill-through/drill-back, etc.
Your best bet is to use the default settings by the software. Just because it returns more records than you want is not a bad thing. You can conditionally change/alter the information either in an EventScript inside of FDM or by mapping the un-needed information to IGNORE.
    Thank you,

  • How do you remove EXIF data from a video shot on an iPhone5s?

I'm trying to remove location metadata from a video of my daughter before posting to YouTube and can't figure it out.  I tried opening the video in Adobe Premiere and Bridge and both don't display the location data for some reason, they fields are just blank.  But I can see the locaction data if opened in Quicktime or iPhoto, but neither program allows you to edit the EXIF data for some reason.  And any app I find seems to only work on photos and not videos.  Any thoughts?  I'd love to upload this video without revealing our exact location.  Thanks.

  • How To Remove Exif Data

    Hi,
Can you tell me how to remove all exif data, tags, etc from a photo?  And, how to batch remove?  Do you have to add a plug in?
    Thanks,

To strip exif data and tags.
Sorry, I thought you were asking a follow-on question.  It didn't make any sense that you would ask about a plug-in if you were already told how to do it in Photoshop.
Frankly, it doesn't make all that much sense to use Photoshop at all for the task.
Have a look at the freeware viewer called IrfanView.  I believe it can be set to batch process a group of images, and save them back out without metadata.

  • IPhoto for iOS removes the GPS exif data from the photo after an edit

iPhoto for iOS removes the GPS exif data from the photo after an edit
Using the iPhone camera, I take a photo and then I want to make the photo a little brighter.
So, I edit a photo using iPhoto for iOS and then save the photo back to the camera roll.
Now, I might want to see where that photo was taken via another app (like Photo Mapo) or on the map using the Photos app, or even the Mac iPhoto app.
However, the GPS data has been removed. Looks like all of the other exif data is still in the photo.
Why not just have a feature to remove the GPS data if the user wants? no reason to remove it for them.
The user explictily chose to have location services turned on so the GPS data would be in the photo.
    Is this a bug?
    Thanks,
    Brian.

First thing to try is a reboot of your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.
None of my cameras has a GPS function so I never see that data in the info of a photo in iPhoto for iOS. But I do see the map choice to set a location for the photo. Perhaps a reboot will fix this for you.

  • How to load data with carriage return through DRM action script ?

    Hello,
We are using DRM to manage Essbase metadata. These metadata contain a field for member formula.
Currently it's a string data type property in DRM so we can't use carriage return and our formula are really hard to read.
But DRM support other data type property : memo or formatted memo where we can use carriage return.
Then in the export file, we have change the record delimiter to an other character than CRLF
Our issue : we are regularly using action script to load new metadata => How to load data properties with carriage return using action script ? There is no option to change the record delimiter.
    Thanks!

here what I want to do through action script : loading a formula that use more on than one line:

  • Script to update EXIF data in iPhoto '08

I shoot some photos with a digital Nikon D50, and some with a Leica M3 (35mm film). The pictures from the digital Nikon are encoded with plenty of detail in the EXIF tags, but the digitized images from the Leica and the 35mm film have only a few tags from the scanner.
I wanted a script that would update the desired EXIF tags direct in iPhoto. I looked around on the Internet at other scripts, and wrote a simple script to update a few EXIF tags on selected images in iPhoto.
I hope this script is of use to others.

On my mac, photoshop cc "save as" removes capture date from exif data. How do I prevent this?

You had to reinstall CS6 after cancelling the CC as both were from the same Adobe ID. You can always use & keep both CC & CS6 together.

  • Remove action script option

    Hi,
I'm using captivate 4 and i don't use action script in my project, when i'm publishing my project one of the two versions "AS2 or AS3" are checked and this make problems with me when use my project in authorware.
In captivate 3 this option not found at all, is there a way to remove these selections while publishing, i made my projects using CP4 so i couldn't oen them using CP3

    Hello,
CP3 couldn't manage AS3, that is why it was always using AS2, the option to choose was not necessary. If you want to work like in CP3, just leave the default option AS2 selected. If inserting a Flash-animation or a widget it needs to use the same version as you choose in CP.

  • Script to get Exif data on text layer in PhotoSHop CS4

I am trying to find (or learn how to write ) a script that will include certain exif data on a spearate text layer in an open image.  I do not want the full, verbose exif rather soemthing that reads
    D3; 70-200 f2.8 @ 89mm; 1/60; f8; ISO 200; Matrix; 0.0 Ev; Apertrure Priority; Flash Y/N
Is there something liek this available?  If not, any (polite) suggestions as to how I write same?  Especially how do I callup the various fields that I require?
    Thanks,
    Dave

There are scripts that place metadata from the documnet into a text layer. I don't know of one that uses those exact fields. You could try modifying one of those or create your own.
If you want to create your own, the doc's metadata can be accessed with app.activeDocument.info , app.activeDocument.info.exif, and app.activeDocument.xmpMetadata.rawData
