Actions for Elements 11

Can someone tell me where I can find free actions for elements 11? More specifically an action that will make eye color stand out in photographs.  I'm having a very hard time with this and I am starting to become aggrivated with the enitre thing! HELP!!!

I have downloaded a number of free 'eye' editing actions - all written for full PS, not for PSE.  Either they all either call a process or set a parameter not supported in PSE ... so they all fail, or they don't provide the functionality advertised.
If you find one that works, do tell.

  • Installing Actions for Elements on a Mac

Does anyone know why I have no "Adobe" folder in "Applications Support" folder under library on my Mac hardrive while trying to download actions for Elements 10?

In the app store version everything is contained within the app package itself, as required by apple's app store guidelines. The problem is that the app store version doesn't seem to care much about mediadatabase.db3 at all. In PSE 9, the app store version never regenerates mediaDatabase.db3 and runs happily without it. In PSE 10, sometimes it works. I'd also delete thumbsDatabase.db3, too.
If you right click the app itself and choose Show package contents>contents, you will find the stuff that is normally in library>application support in a folder in there called Application Data. You will get an error message that it can't be modified when you try to put the actions in there. Click Authenticate and give it your OS X account password and it will let you add them.
However, you may find you're restricted to running actions in the actions player.

adobe premiere elements 12 - how to create menu bar action for my inserted image button without using their movie menu theme

I do not think that I am completely focused into this completely, so let us see if the following is going to help.
You are going to need a base for your button. When you mention "image" button, I am assuming that you are using that term to differentiate between a text button and a thumbnail type button.
The menus (main and scene) take their origin in .psd files on the hard drive and strict nomenclature and structure for Layers Palatte. And, the buttons on the menus trace back to the menu markers on the Timeline, main menu marker and order of placement of scene markers. The scene thumbnail will only appear when there is a scene marker on the Timeline to which it.
    In view of all that
Where have you already inserted this "image (button)"...into the Layers Palette of a Photoshop document or other? Is this "image (button)" in a structured Layer Group in the Layers Palette with sublayer groups, text layers, graphic/background layer"?
Let me give you an example
If you have a button (with thumbnail) on the main menu and you want that to open to a specific scene in your movie, then you use a main menu marker on the Timeline at the spot that you want that button to target.
If I am getting closer to what you seek, then please further clarify the DVD navigational envisioned scheme.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Check the secquence number . I don't see any issue in your code. Try with different sequence numbers.

  • Adding action for functioning Dropdown fields in visual composer iview

    Hi,
I develop a application in Visual composer 7.0. I want to convert the input field in drop down for selecting the different values. I can change the same by selecting the particular input fields in design screen. But I not able to specify the values, Action for the drop down. Can someone explain how to add the Values/Action for functioning the drop down field in the visual composer iView?
    Thanks,
    Kundan.

    Hi,
you need to configure the element to be a drop down list instead of an input field:

  • Installing Actions in Elements 10 Mac/SSD drive

I've installed actions in Photoshop elements 9 before with no problem. I just tried to install an action in PSE 10 and here's the puzzling thing: I'm going to Library (not user library) / Application Support / Adobe / Photoshop Elements 10, but instead of seeing the Photo Creation folder and Locale folder, I'm only seeing a Presets folder and in the Presets folder is an Actions folder.
It's now the same in PSE 9 folder as well.
At first I thought, cool - Adobe changed this, but the action I put in the action folder doesn't show up and all the instructions I'm finding on the internet are telling me to install actions the way I did before - except those folders are not there for me!!
Since the last time I installed an action in Elements, I've upgraded my iMac to a one with an SSD drive / Mac Hard drive. I don't know how this might make a difference, but it's all I can think of.
I'm not really an Elements user, I just use it to test the Actions I make in Photoshop.
I'm making my action in PS CS2
    My system is 10.7.5

There are two methods to play actions in PSE10. One from the Effects panel and other from the Action Player Guided Edit.
    To play in Effects Panel:
    Mac HD\Library\Application Support\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\10.0\Photo Creations\photo effects
Put you .atn file and .png file here (as explained by 99jon)
To play in Action Player guided edit:
    Mac HD\Library\Application Support\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\10.0\Locale\<locale>\Workflow Panels\actions
Put your .atn file in this folder.

  • Action for Replacing Contents of a Smart Object

I am using CS5/PS to create a collage created of several images (smart object layers) that I have positioned using individual clipping masks.
I would like to be able to replace the contents of the images, which I can do via Layer>Smart Objects>Replace Contents...,   but I'd like to have an action for a "one-click" process instead of three clicks.  Problem is, when I try to record the action, it requires me to complete the replacement, and then the action gets hard-wired to replace the image used in the action "record", and therefore doesn't allow me to select which image I'd like to use.
This functionality is available in PS Elements, so I believe it can be done.  I'm sure I'm missing something pretty basic, I just don't know what!!
    Thanks in advance,
      Brian

Just to add to what Barbara has said, Photoshop Elements uses actions
internally to implement certain features. But, there is no public
interface. That is, there is no provision for the user to load and execute
an arbitrary action -- there is no "action player" like there is in
    Photoshop.
Beside the commands that aren't available in PSE, a lot of the techniques
that Photoshop users may employ in writting actions just won't work. For
example, in Photoshop you can stop the action, do a manual adjustment, and
then continue executing the action. In PSE, when you stop the action there
is no way to continue and the image is returned to the history state just
prior to executing the action -- you don't get to keep the changes. Often,
people developing actions for PSE have to use quite a bit of ingenuity to
    work around the limitations.
And, because actions do not have a public interface, Adobe frequently
changes the way they are installed and implemented. Every new release
changes the rules. And remember, Adobe isn't making the documentation
available to the public. Someone has to figure out what changed and how to
    make it work.
For these reasons, it's best to get your PSE actions from a site that writes
them specifically for PSE and has accounted for the specific PSE verson,
such as the sites mentioned by Barbara.

  • Actions in Elements?

I searched the forum and read some posts but still I am unsure.
I personally use PS CS4 in which I have many actions. I use them for Event photography where I insert pictures into premade and saved templates. I sell those templates and actions but am now very limited because many folks are not willing or able to buy CS versions of Photoshop. Yes of course I could dowload the trial version of Elements to try it but choose to first get some info here.
How actions are loaded in Elements and is there an Actions Palette?
    Thanks for your help.

There is an actions player, but it is very limited because it's located in Guided Edit so you can't use any action with stops that needs you to do something in the layers palette (no layers palette in guided). For this reason most people prefer to install actions in Full Edit's Effects panel, but that is a much more complicated task, far, far harder than installing an action in PS.
Also, keep in mind that actions in PSE can only be run on a single image at a time, not a folder, so batch-type actions are pointless. Actions for PSE also need to contain only steps that PSE understands (for example, no history snapshot). Probably the biggest problem with adapting PS actions for PSE is that you cannot easily make a curves adjustment layer with a single color channel adjustment in PSE, only on the combined channels.
And also, PSE 9 is based on CS5, so if an action has stopped working in PS because of a change made between CS4 and CS5, it won't work with the current version of PSE, either.
EDIT This page gives directions for installing actions in various operating systems with various versions of PSE:

  • Actions for PSE8 or PSE9

Does either PSE 8 or PSE 9 support actions?  Can either be made to run an action?  Thanks!

Yes, you can install and run actions in pse8/pse9 as long as they are
compatible with elements. That is, the steps in the action
need to have been recorded using the full version of photoshop with elements in mind.
(most good sites state whether their actions can be used in photoshop elements)
Here's a site that shows how to install actions for the effects panel:
    http://www.texaschicksblogsandpics.com/photography-page/installing-actions-in-photoshop-el ements/
You can also install actions for use in Guided Edit actions player:

I am facing error while running Quickpay in Fusion payroll that "The input value Periodicity is missing for element type KGOC_Unpaid_Absence_Amount. Enter a valid input value". Any idea?

This is most probably because the Periodicity input value has been configured as "Required" and no value has been input for it.
Please enter a value and try to re-run Quick Pay.

  • [Error ORABPEL - 10900]... : Can not find definition for element 'process'

    Hi,
When I try to deploy a bpel process using JDeveloper I'm having the following xml parse error:
    Error(21):
    [Error ORABPEL-10900]: xml parser error
[Description]: in line 21 of "file:/C:/JDeveloper/jdev/mywork/NERGA/CriarProjectoSA/bpel/CriarProjectoSA.bpel", XML parsing failed because file:/C:/JDeveloper/jdev/mywork/NERGA/CriarProjectoSA/bpel/CriarProjectoSA.bpel<Line 21, Column 63>: XML-24538: (Error) Can not find definition for element 'process'.
[Potential fix]: Fix the invalid XML.
I don't understand why... Any idea?

    Ok.
This is my BPEL code. The sapattern tags are from a program that is generating part of the code. The JDeveloper doesn't show any error, I only get the error when I try to deploy.

During installation , when prompted enter serial number and proceed with the installation .
If you had purchased upgrade serial number.
First enter Photoshop Elements 13 serial number .
Then it will ask for previous qualifying version serial number.
