Actions panel won't open

I'm using Flash CS3. Suddenly, my actions panel won't open,
only the heading of the panel shows. My other panels open up just
fine. When I click on the icon to see the whole actions panel, it
just flashes for a split second.

DOWNGRADE SOLUTION - Adobe Edge Animate 4.1 to 4.0.1
I managed to copy the Application folder from one of the other Desktops that still had the older version.
Initially there was a pathing issue to the newer version (Probably still in regedit) however I just adjusted the Application Folder name and since the path resolves it's all working now on 4.0.1 again.
Adobe has completely changed the symbol Obj in 4.1 so if you are referencing undocumented attributes to symbols in your legacy applications you're in for an interesting day or two upgrading all your scripts. PLAN FOR THIS IN YOUR QUOTE TO A CLIENT if you intend to upgrade any Legacy applications
Only lost 6 hours of development time.

Panel won't open the first time

The accordion works fine on this page, but the first panel won't open the first time.
It only opens the second time you click on it.
The other panels are fine....any ideas?

You need to remove defaultPanel: -1 from your script:

This is near the bottom of your document. You may as well delete this entire line, though, because you have a duplicate below that doesn't have the defaultPanel:-1 variable.

Control Panel won't open/Software License Service fails to run

I'm not sure what happened, I had left my computer on sleep for about 4 hours, I came back and I was getting these UAC messages even when I was opening elevated mode for task manager. Soon I realized my control panel won't open. After some googling, the problem was apparently linked to a service called Software License Service and it was either caused by virus(but I have avast..) or files that somehow got corrupted. I had: updated my system using Thinkvantage system update + did a system backup+ ran memtest86+ + turned off AMT + turned off Intel onscreen display. That's all I did before this happened.The error code I get when I try to start control panel through cmd is Error 34 (don't know what this means). And Software license service won't start.
*control panel opens fine in safe mode
*ran sfc, there were problems that 'couldn't be repaired'
1. Is there any way to fix this, ie is there a hotfix available or something I can just download and install?
2.Any idea what might have possibly caused this?
3. I did a quick restore using the backup I did and the problem was still not fixed. Will a full restore help or will I have to resort to factoy restore?

Actions Panel does not open CS6 Flash Pro

When I open Window->Actions, the Action Panel doesn't open. I really need it to develop this app. According to

Thank you for answering my question. When I follow your directions, I still don't see the Actions Menu. According to
http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/actions-actions-panel.html it should appear in the middle in the Essentials Workspace layout. All I get are the following tabs [color-swatches] and [Align-Info-Transform] and [Code Snippets-Components-Motions Presets] and [Project] in the middle section. With [Properties-Library-Actions] on the left. [Timeline-Motion Editor] on the bottom. And the [.fla and .as] open in the top left.
I can't find the Actions Menu. The only reason that I know that the Actions Menu exists is that I had to work on another guys PC for a morning, and there is was! I is a bug help with older ActionScript 1/2 projects.

Window/Action panel won't toggle open

When attempting to open my Actions panel the collapsed window
(bar) comes to screen forefront but single-clicking the toggle\open
button in upper right corner of bar only reveals/collapses the
window for a split second. Won't stay revealed. Have thrown away my
preference file to no avail. Anybody else experience this issue?
(Running CS3 Flash on Mac 10.4.11 system)

To reset or re-create the Flash configuration:
- Close all applications
- Go to your Hard Drive
- Then Users
- Choose your user login (with house icon)
- Go to Library
- Then Application Support
- Choose Adobe
- Open Flash CS3 or Flash 9 folder
- Open "EN" folder
- Rename Configuration folder to Configuration_OLD
- Launch Flash again and try accessing the Actions Panel.
It worked for me.

In windows vista control Panel won't open

in windows vista control panel icloud is there but won't open. how do i fix this? also photo stream is not working right.

Ok, I found another thread on here talking about this and in the end I had to manually delete everything in c:\program files\quicktime & in quicktime alternative and all the quicktime files and folders in c:\windows\system32
Some of those files dated back to 2003!
I reinstalled and everything is ok now.

Actions window won't open

When I select a the {.} 'trigger/actions' icon it won't open the Actions window. I can see a faint outline/shadow of a window about 50px X 50px which stays offset from the click location as if the window won't redraw
Also when I use the Code Window hitting CTRL + S to save inputs 'DC3' at the cursor position and fails to save the composition.
The application is also running very slow and a Save takes about 5 - 8 seconds an iMac (with thin retina display - so relatively recent)

Query Panel won't open when trying to create a new report

When I am attempting to create a new report in Desktop Intelligence 11.5.0.0, and choose my universe, my query panel does not open - it appears to be "hidden" somewhere in the background because I cannot click on anything else in DeskI until I hit . I have tried rebooting and closing and restarting Desktop Intelligence but it doesn't work..Even when I try and view it from an existing report it doesn't work either.

Following solution might help you to resolve the issue.
To resolve the behavior
1.Click Start > Run. The Run dialog box appears.
2.Type "regedit" in the Open field. Click OK. The Registry Editor dialog box appears.
3.Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Business Objects\Suite 6.0\default\BusinessObjects\<username>User Prefs\Query Panel.
4.Right-click Query Panel > click Delete.
The folder will be recreated the next time the application is opened.
5.Close the Registry Editor.
6.Restart the computer.
The Query Panel will now be available for creating new queries and editing existing queries

Boot Camp Control Panel Won't Open in Win 7 with 3.1 BC 64bit Drivers

I have an early MacPro running both SL and Win7 64 bit, each OS on a dedicated drive. I installed BC 3.0 drivers previously without problem. I upgraded the BC drivers to 3.1.
Now, if I attempt to open the BC Control Panel, I get an error message stating I "don't have privileges to modify the startup disk." I have administrative privileges! I checked the properties of the Control Panel (resides in Win folder/sytem 32) and ensured that I have full user control. Also, I tried to open the Control Panel in compatibility mode with no success---same error message.
Anyone with a similar issue?? Anyone with a suggestion to resolve the problem.

I'm having same issue. I don't trust that simply adjusting Digital Vibrance is returning my colors to normal. This adjustmet just makes things grayer to me.
Problems started after:
Upgrading SL (10.6.2) on Mac side
Installing Bootcamp 3.0 from SL disk onto win 7.
Downloading and updating Bootcamp 3.1
Colors all look 16 bit and saturated, though nvidia control panel says color depth = 32 bit.
I've tried:
Rolling back my driver to previous settings
manually downloading and installing both nvidia driver versions separately (181.22 32bit + 197.13 64bit)
Also tried going to control panel checking for driver updates (says latest is installed).
I own eye-one display calibration hardware but don't want to go through this process until internal functioning appears normal.
Any suggestions out there for me?

Spry accordion panel won't open by default

Here is my code for spry accordion, I am trying to open the 1st inside accordion panel by default, i f not by default, as soon as its parent is opened, but none of them seems to work. Please let me know where I am going wrong.

Info panel won't open

Sometimes when I open iPhoto, the sliding panel on the side of the library is pulled to the far left, so the info panel, slideshows', albums, etc, are not visible.
When I click on the little marking [don't know what its called] that slides the window back, it has no effect...... sometimes for quite awhile and then......again, for no apparent reason, it works and I'm able to slide the library window to the right so I can access the calendar, info panel etc....
Does anyone know why it does this, or how to fix it when it does ?

or renew the iPhoto preference file - A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. Desktop Background and screen saver panel won't open at all

When I try to change my background on my macbook pro, it says can not open my backgrounds & Screensaver preferences........ I don't know what to do????

Hopefully you have cured this by now. I had the same problem after the Yosemite upgrade. The only cure I found was a complete reinstall of everything NOT using the migration tool to bring data over. I installed each and every piece of software - including Yosemite - after reformatting my hard drive. All is now well. A pain, but it worked.

ICloud 2.0 Control Panel won't load on Win 7 32-bit

I installed iCloud 2.0. The install seems to work but the following issues occur:
iCloud control panel won't open
iCloud icon in notifications area won't open iCloud
Outlook 2010 won't open, instead it hangs in the splash screen with "Processing..."
iCloud is running according to Task Manager
I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times with the same result.

Here's what worked for me after looking around this discussion board:
Uninstall iCloud
Reboot
Make sure that if you're using a web proxy (many corporate accounts require these) that you don't use a proxy script file (.pac file)
For 32-bit Windows 7:
In Computer, open Local Disk C:\ or whichever drive your program files are installed on.
On a 32-bit version of Windows 7, open the "Program Files" folder.
Open the "Common Files" folder.
Open the "Apple" folder.
Open the "Apple Application Support" folder.
Find the APSDaemon.exe file and set it Run As Administrator
Reinstall iCloud 2.0.
Note: APSDaemon.exe causes iTunes to hang on quit. I had it renamed to disable it but it's required by iCloud.

Keyboard shortcuts won't open & settings won't sync PP CC

Hi All,
I have two issues...
1) The keyboard shortcuts panel won't open so I can't change them.
2) My settings refuse to upload to CC no matter what I do. I've tried deleteing the stored settings from my CC account. I've tried signing out of CC via the helpmenu in PP and then signing back in again. I've tried clening the media cache. Restarting/rebooting/opening new project etc etc.. all steps suggested in other posts but nopthing seems to work.
Any thoughts gratefully received.
