Hi Expert,
I'm try to activate InfoObject 0MATERIAL in BI Content tab by select Object Type-> InfoObject- Only Necessary object. The activation was sucessful. however when I go to Modeling to see 0MATERIAL, it's still in Inactive, not executable status.

When you activate 0MATERIAL you must check if all the attributes of 0MATERIAL are activate previorusly if not you mut activate them before 0MATERIAL.

Hi SAP Experts,
I tried to install a simple business content info object 0MATERIAL.
Its not getting activated and while manually trying to activate the info object , its throwing errors like
1.Attribute 0MATERIAL from characteristic 0APO_PROD not (actively) available
2.Hierarchy not actively available
3.Certain unit related info objects not in the compunding.

when you try activate some object, which have dependence you must activate them together
in you case 0MATERIAL have attribute 0APO_PROD, which is innactive in BW.
activate 0APO_PROD with 0MATERIAL in one moment.
and more....simulate can show error in this case, but activation must be success(if all dependence objects activating together).

Error While activating 0Material(BI7)

Dear Gurus,
I am trying to Activate 0Material Infoobject after deleting a Navigation attribute(Classification characteristics) ,the system throws a error " Error while activating Type Info object".And when i navigated to the Detailed error message it says " error : Internal Activation(info object) - error while converting master data tables .Can anyone help me out with this.

We posted the error message to SAP and they have replied " while we deleted the attributes from the Info object(0material) it broke the D-Version of the Object and so to Transport the Info object from another Working system to the Problem(Dev)system ,Install and then activate".
1). Does it mean we can install them object in PRODUCTION Server and then transport to the Development.???
2). Now i tried installing 0Material in RSORBCT in Produciton,but gets a message "Cant make any changes in the repository-changes in this client prohibited". Guys could u help us with this??

Error while activating the infoobject 0MATERIAL

Hi Experts,
Iam trying to activate 0MATERIAL infoobject.
But while activating the particular infoobject iam getting few errors saying that
InfoObject ZDGTDCODE is used in transfer rules (1CL_OMAT001_BB) of characteristic 0MATERIAL
InfoObject ZDGTDCODE is used in transfer rules (1CL_OMAT001_BD) of characteristic 0MATERIAL
Please help me out in activation of the infoobject.

Hi,
The object has been used in the Material classification Data source as well(1CL_OMAT001_BB) as per ur thread....
In this case.. u need to make sure that the mapping to this object at the transfer rules are maintained properly or not.. if not try to maintain this object mapping properly in Tranfer rules and check the object is been used in the 0Material as well....
Activate the Infosource once u does these changes.. and check 0Material gets activated properly or not..
Also use use this program for activating ur object:
RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE

Error DBIF_PGNT_SQL_ERROR while activating 0MATERIAL

Hi All,
   I am stuck with a problem. I added 0MATL_GRP_2 in 0material as attribute and did changes in R3 for the same. Then I replicated data source 0material_attr and changed transfer rule while activating i got error DBIF_PGNT_SQL_ERROR : SQL error 3113 occurred when accessing structure description. I tried 2 -3 times but got the same error. for testing I tried to activate 0material in background and come up with the similer error DBIF_PGNT_SQL_ERROR : SQL error 3113 occurred when accessing structure description "/BI0/PMATERIAL ". Then I tried to activate /BI0/PMATERIAL with SE14 but got same error. Then I tried function module DD_TABL_ACTM but again same error. i am clueless where is the problem. Is it something related to table space. Please guide.

0MATERIAL(Info Object) Activation Error from BI Content.

Hello Experts,
0Material activation failed..... for below reasons...
When I am trying to activate 0material from BI Content it is showing errors -
1. Characteristic 0CM_CTAR: Unit 0UNIT_DIM no allowed in compounding.
2. Characteristic 0CM_SHAR: Unit 0AREA_UNIT no allowed in compounding
3. Attribute 0CM_CTAR from characteristic 0CM_CDT1 not (actively) available
4Attribute 0CM_SHAR from characteristic 0CM_CDT1 not (actively) available
It is having error messages like point 3 & 4 up to 0CM_CDT7.....
5. Attribute 0CM_CDT1 from characteristic 0RT_SEAROLL not (actively) available
6. Attribute 0RT_SEAROLL from characteristic 0MATERIAL not (actively) available
7. Hierarchy characteristic 0CM_CDT1 of characteristic 0MATERIAL is not active
8. Hierarchy characteristic 0CM_CDT2 of characteristic 0MATERIAL is not active
9. Hierarchy characteristic 0CM_CDT3 of characteristic 0MATERIAL is not active

But when I am trying to activate the 0CM_CTAR & 0CM_SHAR then is showing following error.

Timeout on input help for variable

hi all,
in a selection screen of a report i have material and material type(navigational attribute of material) as input.
the report is built on cube.
only material is coming in cube.
when i click on input help for material type the screen hangs on the report times out.
whereas on the other hand if i am clicking help for material i am getting the values.
this variable is used in other queries on different infoprovider and is running fine there.
How do i get the values for input help for material type.
all the standard settings have been maintained(such as query filter selection etc...)

Activate 0material masterdata.and Regenerate your query in RSRT.
If the problem still exists then debug the query using RSRT for the perticular field output.

1 activate 0Material from R3 side this datasource corresponds has the extract.struct. BIW_MARA_S correponding to material master data (what you need)
2 install 0Material from business content
3 replicate in BW
4 assign your datasource 0material_attr to the infosource 0material_Attr if flexible or create an infosource with direct update
5 activate transfer rules (if flexible)
6 create update rules from 0material to your infosource (if flexible)
7 create an Infopackage, launch the job and check the monitor to see if the upload works.

Activate 0AUBPVEH withOUT new version of 0MATERIAL from Business Content

Hello experts!
I want to activate ODS-Object 0AUBPVEH from Business Content. With this ODS I have to activate InfoObject 0AUVEHICLE which has 0MATERIAL as an attribute. Our experts told me, that it is not really possible to activate the ODS-Object with using our existing 0MATERIAL and without activation of the new version of 0MATERIAL.
Can someone help here?

Facing the error in activate data in DSO

i am facing the error while activating the data in DSO. i am getting data in NEW DATA.

Go to RSA1 -> 0MATERIAL (i think this is your characteristic, but please check, it is not very clear from screen shot).
Right click on 0MATERIAL -> maintian master data -> you'l get a selection screen. Enter value "Coaching" for material. It will most probably give you a pop-up saying that the value does not exist.
Now execute the selection screen without entering any value (the timer on the top). Create New record from the Create icon on top. Enter value Coaching for material. Rest fields should be left blank. Save and come back.
Now right click on 0MATERIAL -> Activate Master Data.
Once activation is done, you should go and activate your data.
IF the above does not work, then the error is in data that you loaded to your DSO. For that you will have to delete the request from your DSO. Now go into RSA1-> PSA (2LIS_01_S262) -> right click -> manage. Edit data into PSA : turn the value Coaching to COACHING. Save and come back.
Re-execute the DTP which loads to DSO, repeat the activation.
Please share if this works / not.

When I am transporting 0MATERIAL to production I am getting this error

SQL Error: ORA-00904: 'RF_FRECHAR': invalid identifier

Characteristic 0MATERIAL is blocked by conversion "
Transport is working fine in Quality, only in Production I am getting error.
I haven't yet started pulling data in production.
Please help. Its urgent.

Look at master data table related to your IO in se11 transaction.
Check if the data element for your 0material field is active.

We have new BW server.We are trying to intalling info objects 0MATERIAL, 0VENDOR, 0COSTCENTER from Business Content.
We getting error while activatind 0MATERIAL. Error is "0APO_LOCNO" is not active. We tried to activate "0APO_LOCNO" alone still it's not proceeding further.
Any suggestions.

You can also to Tcode:RSRV
Tests in Tran RSRV
->All elementary Test
>Master Data
>Compare Charat Values in SID-,P- andQ- Tables.
Drag that in right panel.
Open that > in right panel and Entry 0MATERIAL.Transfer
Then Execute->Yes in pop-up.
If any problem..click on repair.

After upgrade - Pb after imports have to replicate DS, activate Trs Rules

Since the upgrade of our SAP BW system in BI 7.0, we encountered some problems a priori after import of transports requests.
In our production system, we must regularly replicate datasources, activate active transfer structures and update rules with help of reports RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL and RSAU_UPDR_REACTIVATE_ALL.
If not, the loading of data fails, the process chains stops
Are generally impacted :
- generated exports datasources ( with 8 prefix )
- texts infoproviders (update rules) ex : 0WBS_ELEMT$T, 0MATERIAL$T
We dont had any problem like that before upgrade.
forgot a point of parameter setting?
Is there somebody who knows this problem?

Please check another 2 or 3 loads ,still it's giving same errors then replicate and activate the all DS & TS...
Start the work,No need to wait for replies in SDN .Because it waste your time.....in between work also u can check the SDN if any correct answer u may get..
