Activate datasource SAP-R/3 - FI

I activate datasource in ECC source system using t-code RSA5 for SAP-R/3 -> FI. got these warnings in the log.
Do they matter? Thanks for you help.

Hi Ting Ting Chen,
It is warning only the interanal table adjustment only , it will not be a problem , the data sources are activated
sae data sources u can find in RSA6 replicate in BI and see the data extraction and Check in RSA3 also.

what is the concept of Activate in SAP? there are objects like report that must be activated. but then there are objects like an SAP-Script that is just saved in TC SE71. Why? what's the difference? similarly, when tables are created and maintained, they're activated but when their Authorization group etc is changed or maintained, the settings only need to be saved... Activation is probably the most imp thing to do in SAP.
Tables need to be activated so that the changes which you have done in the tables are reflected, but in case of settings,, just saving them is enough... In settings you are only manipulating the things and not adding anything new.
Once you activate, then only the memory for the constants and variables and stuff is allocated.
Incase , you modify an activated code, it turns into an inactivated state, and you may not get all the functionality that you desire from your code.
So its very important to activate.

can i activate datasource at quality an dproduction by RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL
or from dev to need to send request only?

Hi,
This program can be used in any case...ilke timestamp error or if the data source in gettng inactive after transport in production or any reason for the data loads are not working because of data source issue ..... other then change in the structure of the datasource.
so use it whereever if it can help...there is no condition to use it...but structure changes must be done through transports.

BOFC 10 Installation - Can't activate datasource

Hello gurus,
I need to install a complex landscape with Oracle/BOFC/BOFIM/DS/IC/CMS and more.
During the installation of the BOFC component I didn't face any kind of issues, but I'm not able to activate a datasource.
I receive the following error message in my screen:
Migration failed on data source BOFCDEV.
Failed to initialize server configured on machine V05DEG.
ORA-01756: quoted string not properly terminated
According the installation guide I installed the Oracle client 32 bit, because BOFC desn't work on 64 bit.
Here is the server configuration:
Windows 2008 R2 / 64 Bit
Oracle 11.2.0.2
Has anyone already faced this problem?

SAP solved the issue via OSS Message.
The windows format settings of the user IIUSR was not english.
The change was done directly in the regedit.

How to activate datasource from business content

Hi all
please let me know the procedure to activate the datasources(r/3) for objects delivered from the business content(ex infocube, update rules, infosources,....) all delevered from the businss content...
suppose if we create our own infocube we define
1.maintain datasource in r/3
2.replicate that in bw system
3.and further process
let me know how we do this when we transfer objects from d version to a version in business content

Not able to activate Datasource

Hello SAP Techies ,
I am facing an issue while activating a Data source.I have replicated the data source and it replicated successfully.
When i try to go to the Write/Edit mode for the Data source it throws a following popup (* SAP System has status 'not modifiable' * Choose display object or Cancel)
I even tried to activate this data source manually in SE38 with "RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL" program
when i am entering the Source system and the data source name , it throws a popup with following message "There is no DataSource with these attributes".
Kindly please help me on this .

Hi Navesh ,
I tried acctivating the data source to activate its corresponding transfer structure as well using program "RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL".
It showed a a green symbol with "Problem class important" and " No Transfer Structure Selected"
Again when i tried to activate the data source in "RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL" program, it threw me the same
popup "There is no Data Source with these attributes".
Navesh , please help if i have missed any thing or any procedure . Regarding SCC4 i donot have the authorization .
Kindly explain , what need to be done in SE03 T-code.

Unable to activate datasources in BWA5

Hi,
I an trying to activate the 0crm_oppt_i and 0crm_oppt_h datasources in BWA5. But this transaction is all grayed out and I cannot make any changes in it. Our basis team even open up the whole sap system and even he cannot make any modifications in this transaction. Does anyone have any ideas what we are doing wrong?

I can see the same columns. The buttons that I have on top are:
Select Delta
Version Comparison
Copy DataSources
Display
Select All
Deselect All
When you click on the Copy DataSources (it also have an Activate icon, the matchstick), and after supplying the object directory entry, the datasource gets a check in the Active Column...

Hi,
Just look at following points
1. You have activated datasource through RSA5
2. iTS available in RSA6
3. You can extract data through RSA3 and it returns some data in case available in Dev
4. Just check whether replication done correctky within BI system..You are having sufficient authorisations.check SU53 post that..
5. Just double click on datasource ,change it and then activate same and save in BW.
6. see now if you can run below transaction and it runs correctly..

Error when activate a SAP source system

Hello Experts,
I have an issue when I try to create a new SAP source system but I cannot complete this operation because a Timeout error occurs when the system made the destiny verification, the source system can be created but not activated, I already create the RFC connection and they are OK, I add the new logical system of the source system in the configuration (SBIW) in the general settings,and the data source tree is show succesfully and sems to work OK and the data sources seems to be OK too.
In the RSA1 transaction, go to source systems tree, choose the SAP source system called: "conexion a dev 200" -> right click and choose activate and the error occurs.
I have a Myself source system already created and activated, I cannot find the source of the problems thata cause the timeout error in the new source system.

Yes, I try ti use the create automatically option first but it doesn't work, because says that we system already exists because here exist a myself source system with an RFC to R/# ( I don't know why), so I must use the manually creation option, I put the logical system, and all the requeriments of the screem. The system create the source system but when I try ti activate it, it is impossible to do it....!
I hope that you can give some tips or solution for this issue,

Activate Datasource and Transfer Rules

I created a datasource in KEB0. Replicated it into BI. I would now like to activate the DS (master and transactional) how do i go about doing that? If i double click it. It does not give me an option to activate it. Also does the DS need to be active to activate the transfer rules.

If it doesn't allow you to activate then go to se38 and execute program "RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL" and then give the source system name and the InfoSource name.......
This program is very useful as it helps to activate the transfer rules when we cannot do it in RSA1.
Assign points if useful.

The F1 help for this option says:
<i>When you activate this option, an attempt is made to create and send the SAP logon ticket for the current session, for a logon to the target system. Before you can create this ticket, the environment must be configured appropriately (for example, the profile parameter login/create_sso2_ticket must be set to 2).</i>

Just Got ot T code se11 or se 14
Just paste your Z datasource name here, you will find a screen where you can find your extractor name and structure. Just double click on it , it will take you to the screen where all the FM and Program used by this datasource..

I have activate datasource: 2LIS_11_VAHDR      t-code: SBIW
2LIS_11_VAHDR       Sales Document Header Data
and activate LO-cockpit    t-code: LBWE
Then , I use RSA3 extractor check , prompt: 0 data records selected .
