Activate FM Master Fields in HR Info Type 14 & 15

To support HR Payroll with FM Module Activation, normally, employee master data will has field of Fund & Functional Area to be input. These data will be use for normal payroll payment.
HR payroll which is paid by Info Type 14 or Info Type 15 will not read Fund & Functional Area from Employee Master for their further posting.
How to activate field of Fund & Functional Area to be able to be input in HR Info Type 14 & HR Info Type 15? Is it in the FI or FM configuration?

Sorry for disturbing you. The issue is resulved by:
1) Input integrated dat to >> Public Sector Management> Funds Management Government> Actual and Commitment Update/Integration> Integration> Integration with Human Resources (HR)> Define Start Date for HR Integration (Scenario 2)
2) Request HR open the mentioned fields.
I am not sure that, is this the correct solution but all issue resolved.

1. Using transaction PM01 chose the 'Enhance Infotype tab' and press the create 'All' button.
2. In the next screen enter the new fields you wish to add to the Infotype 0001.
3. After Saving and Activating check the screen(using PA20 / PA30) and table PA0001. You will be able to see your new field.

Enable Functional Area field in PA30 Info type 0001 Screen

Hi,
I need to enable Functional Area (PA0001-FKBER) field in info type 0001 screen of PA30 and the functional area should pick up value corresponding to cost centre.
I unhide the field in T588M table, but still i dont see the field in PA30 Info type 0001 Screen,
Can someone please let me know what other settings need to be activated for enabling functional area in 0001 screen.

If Funds Management and Controlling are updated in an integrated way such that the cost center is always the leading account assignment and the fund center is derived, the HR must not (and does not) support the maintenance of derived information (such as fund center). Thus there are the following three possible scenarios:
- Funds Management (FM) is not active. -> HR doesn't show Fund Center
- FM is active but without CO-Integration-> HR shows Fund Center
- FM is active with CO Integration -> HR doesn't show Fund Center
These scenarios can be maintained with time dependence (active from-dates): There can be a period for the first, a second time interval for the second and a third time interval for the last scenario.

Custom field in standard info type data vanishes

Hi,
We have enhanced standard info type 9 & added a custom field.
in PAI defaulting some value to this custom field.
In PA30 when we make changes to existing records it defaults the valu in the custom field and when we save it it saves to data base.
After some time the value in this field vanishes.
Any idea on this?

The screen of the infotype 0009 is separated in the standard screen and the customer subscreen. When the
bank country key is changed, then the current screen has to be refreshed: this is due as the displayed screen is dependent of the country key (eg 2000 for the international screen, as example 2006 for France, etc).
When we refresh the screen (technically a LEAVE SCREEN is done), the customer own fields are not yet passed from the screen layout to the screen logic as at the time of the refresh the customer PAI logic is not yet processed. Unfortunately this screen logic cannot be changed as this is a central place in the infotype 0009.

Custom fields of standard info types to be included in Info set query

Hi All,
I want to understand if the following scenario is entirely a fucntional config or ABAP efforts are also required.
A standard info type is already included in the Info set. But the (Z fields) in the Additional fields column of the IT are not visible in Info set for the respective info type.
I understand, with T-code SQ02 infotypes can be included in the existing info set, but not aware about the Z fields of a Standard Infotype.
Hence, please let me know, if there is any config which is required, so that they are reflected in Info set.

Make sure you have the infoset in edit mode.
if it is correct you see the addtional fields in the left half of the screen at the infotype.
Select the field group on the right half of the screen, go to the left half of the screen, select the field you want to add to the fieldgroup with right mouse click and select 'add field to fieldgroup'

Info type 0003 View indicator Error

Hi SAP Gurus,
Recently we have upgraded our system from R3 4.7 to ECC 6.0.Now in testing i have found that when i try to change the entry date of an employee then system gives me the message
"Organizational reassignment not permitted**
*Message no. PG162*
*Diagnosis*
*The organizational reassignment is not possible because*
*The previous and new personnel areas are assigned to different country groupings (MOLGA)*
*or*
*The organizational assignment (feature IVWID) and the employee have different infotype view indicators.*
*System Response*
*The organizational reassignment is rejected.*
*Procedure*
*Check the attributes of the personnel areas, the settings in feature IVWID, and the employee's infotype view indicator in the Payroll Status infotype (transaction SE16, table PA0003, field VIEKN).*
As per the procedure given when i checked the VIEKN field in PA0003 i found that its blank and in feature IVWID for country grouping 40 return value is 40 itself.I have checked for other employees also and for each one field VIEKN is blank.
When i compared the upgraded test system with the previous R3 system i found that field VIEKN is blank there for all employees and in feature IVWID there is no entry for country grouping 40 and system is returning the value through a function "RP_GET_IVWID"
Can any body suggest what should i do for this scenario.

In brief the issue is this that for all the employees whose master data were already present on the system before upgrade for all of them "VIEKN" field in info type 0003 is blank as before upgarde in feature IVWID there were no entry in our system for country grouping 40.
Now in upgarded system In feature IVWID there is an entry for country grouping 40 hence when ever i do any kind of the action on previous employees system gives error to me that no oraganization reassignment possible because of mismatch in IVWID and field VIEKN in info type 0003.
Now i want to ask should i maintain VIEKN field for all the existing employees or should i remove country grouping entry in feature IVWID.

You can go for either, but you may need to put in some coding in the LSMW as well. Several of my projects we have always used LSMW.
The fields in IT 0008 are shown in tabular form, but in the back end they are stored as LGA01, LGA02 etc.
Dpedning onyour country, the employees may have anywhere between 1 and 10 wagetypes in It 0008, it is very very unusual to have more than 10 wagetypes in It 0008,
So your data collection template will have ten columns for the wagetypes, and the first column will get loaded in LGA01 and second in LGA02 and so forth.
this is just a a high level idea, the spreadsheet will become more complex if some of the wagetypes are amounts and others are unmbers/units. also if there are diffent set of wagetypes for different employee groups.

Can we add additional fields in an organizational info type?

Yes you can add new fields in the standard info types also.
Through transaction PM01 can you specify that additional field is standard field or customized field. if it standard you can do with the help of screen modifier. if it is custom then use PM01.

Uploading of master data
Log on to your SAP
Transaction code RSA1LEAD YOU TO MODELLING
1. Creation of Info Objects
In left panel select info object
Create info area
Create info object catalog ( characteristics & Key figures ) by right clicking the created info area
Create new characteristics and key figures under respective catalogs according to the project requirement
Create required info objects and Activate.
2. Creation of Data Source
In the left panel select data sources
Create application component(AC)
Right click AC and create datasource
Specify data source name, source system, and data type ( master data attributes, text, hierarchies)
In general tab give short, medium, and long description.
In extraction tab specify file path, header rows to be ignored, data format(csv) and data separator( , )
In proposal tab load example data and verify it.
In field tab you can you can give the technical name of info objects in the template and you not have to map during the transformation the server will automatically map accordingly. If you are not mapping in this field tab you have to manually map during the transformation in Info providers.
Activate data source and read preview data under preview tab.
Create info package by right clicking data source and in schedule tab click star to load data to PSA.( make sure to close the flat file during loading )
3. Creation of data targets
In left panel select info provider
Select created info area and right click to select Insert Characteristics as info provider
Select required info object ( Ex : Employee ID)
Under that info object select attributes
Right click on attributes and select create transformation.
In source of transformation , select object type( data source) and specify its name and source system Note: Source system will be a temporary folder or package into which data is getting stored
Activate created transformation
Create Data transfer process (DTP) by right clicking the master data attributes
In extraction tab specify extraction mode ( full)
In update tab specify error handling ( request green)
Activate DTP and in execute tab click execute button to load data in data targets.
4. Monitor
Right Click data targets and select manage and in contents tab select contents to view the loaded data. Alternatively monitor icon can be used.

How to Enhance the info type in ECC 6.0,

I face a problem while enhanceing the infotype in EEC 6.0 ,
but i know how to enhance in 4.7, here i face a problem is

what is that mean.
actually i follow procedure in EEC 6.0 is
initally go to T-CODE PM01 , then enter the info type num and click on edit button ,it will navigate into create the strrecture ,then iam creating the domain ,data element and save active.
then i click on GENERATE OBJECT button.
finalliy i face above message like that,

Please follow follwoing steps for PA infotypes.
1. Execute PM01.
2. Select 4th Tab as "SingleScrn" and enter infotype no. (eg. 0001).
3. click Generate Objects button.
4. Will get a screen for entering fields which u want to append to infotypes.
5. Activate it.
Pls mark necessary points if this helps to u.

Info type 0002 specific to Company code

Hello All,
Requesting your suggestion for the below.
I need to create a HR master record for an employee using t-code PA40.
Under the info type 0002 ( maintain Personal data) , I would like to keep certain fields in the screen as mandatory , input or hide, specific to company codes.
How can this be done ? Can anyone pls suggest me the config path.

Hi Sandeep,
Goto SM31 -V_T588M.
For module pool MP000200 - create two variable keys.
For one key, hide the related field and for the other, donot hide.
Then goto PE03 - P0002.
For company code XXXX the output value shall be assigned to the first variable key.
For company code YYYY the output value shall be assigned to the second variable key.

My requirement is to resave 0000 info type as 0001 on certain condition, can I do that?
Or is it the case that for creating custom info types range should be greater than 9000.

Yes infotype can be 9nnn not less than that.
anyhow here are the steps.
) Go to Transaction PM01.
2) Enter the custom Infotype number which you want to create (Should be a 4 digit number, start with 9).
3) Select the Employee Infotype radio button.
4) Select the PS Structure Infotype.
5) Click on Create A separate table maintenance window appears
6) Create a PS structure with all the fields you want on the Infotype
7) Save and Activate the PS structure
8) Go back to the initial screen of PM01.
9) Click on All push button. It takes a few moments.
10) Click on Technical Characteristics. Infotype list screen appears
11) Click on Change(pencil) button
12) Select your Infotype and click on Detail (magnifying glass) button
13) Give T591A as subtype table
14) Give T591S as subtype txt tab
15) Give your subtype field as subtype field
16) Save and come back to PM01 initial screen
17) Click on Infotype Characteristics Infotype list screen appears
18) Click on Change (pencil) button
19) Click on New Entries
20) Enter your Infotype number and short text
21) Here we have to set different Infotype Characteristics as per the requirement. (Better open another session with some standard Infotypes infotype characteristics screen and use as the reference to fill yours)
22) Save your entries.
23) Now the Infotype is created and ready to use.
24) If you want to change the layout of the Infotype as per your requirement
25) In the PM01 initial screenSelect Screen radio button and give 2000 as the screen name, then click on edit.
26) In the next screen.. Select Layout Editor and click Change.
27) Screen default layout appearshere you can design/modify the screen..change the attributes of the fields..etc.
28) Save and activate. (Dont forget to Activate at every level)

To Join two SAP fields into one info object

Hi All,
Can you please suggest the best method to concatenate values from two R/3 fields into one info object master data table?
The requirement is to create a Sales report where I need to report on sales against sales type.
Sales type is a list of joint values of item category ( 0ITEM_CATEG) and bill type (0BILL_TYPE).
So, I need a list of all item categories and billing types in a single object and report sales value against it.
Please suggest.

Hi Venkat,
In DSO any case you will not be having more than 16 Keys. I am surprised seeing requirement of more than 16 keys, but anyways you need to go with some workaround.
You can concatenate multiple Fields and map to one Dummy InfoObject which will be Key in DSO so in actual you have more than 16 Keys but have 16 Keys in system.
But analyze requirement in detail because this will increase data redundancy and time for load will get increased.
Also for new issues start new discussion otherwise people will not able to help you in this forum.

Custom table needs to be updated based on changes in Info type P0000

   I have a requirement wherein when we make changes to info type P0000 this should be reflected to a custom table.
If i create a new record, delete an existing record or make changes to a record in INFOTYPE P0000 this should also be reflected in my custom table.
   My custom table has 5 fields from info type p0000 and some custom fieds.
   please can you let me know exactly which user exit to use to acchieve the solution. and where exactly i can put the logic.

I tried to code in the method AFTER_INPUT and executed but there are few thing which i have come across.
1. when ever i create a new record in PA40 and each time i save the screens of PA40 this method is called and based on check it tries to update the table taht many times.
2. The logic which i have used in the BADI implementations is as below:

4 I have also tried to use the modify statement in IN_UPDATE instead of updating custom table in same method but its giving me same error "XXXX" is unknown. i tried to declare it under TABLES but in Vain.
can you let me know your view on this. The above chunk of code is in case of creating a new record in P0000 info type.
