I have a "Visual Studio Ultimate with MSDN" subscription. As part of the subscription is the bundled "Office 365 Developer Subscription". I tried to activate the subscription 3 months ago but it failed with some temporary error. Now if I
try to reactivate the subscription, it says

I have already called the support helpline there 3 times and it was of no use. (My company is based in India and our experience for MSDN support here hasn't been that good compared to US support).

How do I activate this?. I have VS ultimate subscription.

Help Needed with getting Started With Office 365 Development C# Rest API

We have a O365 Tenant Setup with a Federated Active Directory Setip we want to be able to right code that will connect to our tenant and perform basic CRUD operations against it (ex. Creating mail boxes)
The problem is we want this to be contained in a CLR trigger In SQL so say if a new user is added to our user table then we would create a new AD account for that user and also create a mailbox.
But I cannot find and example on how to connect to Office 365 using the REST API (Not the SDK because you can not add the connected service to a class library) and before the required actions that we need to do. All the example I have found are with the
SDK API and/or require window 8 and that is also not an option.
Please help I do not know where to start, and I would love to see some examples done in c# and not using the SDK.

SharePoint Office 365 development

We want to do some POC on SharePoint Office 365 development so that with same expertise later we can develop for our customer. Here I have few question on this:
Can we use SharePoint Office 365 development for Farm level deployment ?
Or SharePoint Office 365 is used exclusively for development of Apps ?
Is Napa tool necessary for Farm level solution? (I know it is required for Apps development)
Basically we want to develop farm solution not any apps, can we use SharePoint Office 365 for this?
Can we develop office 365 application in a virtual machine without any internet connection i.e. without connecting to the web or Microsoft online?

Answer : No. It also supports for .Wsp with some restrictions on code

Cannot activate office 365 after latest upgrade

Having downloaded the latest Yosemite 0.1 upgrade I cannot activate Office 365 .

Yes I know 365 is MS, I wondered if anyone else was experiencing the same problem. As it happens i have discovered that a new password has to be issued by MS to activate or reactive this and other apps. I believe this is some kind of MS patch particular to Mac use of MS software - but I maybe mistaken. Anyway anyone using Mac Office 365 home edition may need to log onto their MS account to obtain a new password to activate their software.

Yeah that's a trial version you have to buy Office 365.

and I can get the E1 subscription also.
Why would I ever pay with the same cost for both subscription when I can get the E1 to deploy a developer site??

Office 365 ProPlus couldn't verify subscription behind proxy

Hi,
I have installed Office 365 Pro Plus, and it all works well. Maybe a month after i installed it, the title bar turned red on my office apps saying i had an unlicensed product, and i had another red bar within the apps saying
COULDN'T VERIFY SUBSCRIPTION Outlook couldn't verify your Office 365 subscription. Please make sure you're connected to the Internet.
There's a Retry button as well which tries, and I assume fails when I click it.
If I connect my PC directly to the internet then this verification process appears to succeed, as the red bars will go away. But how do i get it working behind my proxy? The proxy is set in Internet Options, and we have no problems otherwise.

All the "Office 365 ProPlus URLs" work fine in my browser except sls.microsoft.com (but this doesn't work with a direct internet connection either).
We have a KMS server in our environment, but as far as I can see Office 365 does not connect to KMS.

Your description suggests it is a proxy access issue. I would suggest you check this Technet article, especially the

If your organization requires Internet connectivity through a specific proxy server and
Automatically detect settings should be unchecked, you must enable Office 365 services to connect. To do this, use the Bitsadmin command-line tool and run the following command:

Azure Remote App with MSDN Subscription

Hello ,
I have an MSDN Subscription with a monthly cap of 50 swiss francs. Reading the RemoteApp licensing details it says:
"Yes. For each App Collection there is minimum requirement of 20 users. If you have less than 20 users, you would still be billed for 20. "
Is this also valid for MSDN subcribers? Yesterday I deployed a RemoteApp Collection, as first I had only read about the per user pricing, so assumed this would work fine, but then the other day I rad the above statement about a minimum of 20 users. So first
I immediately deleted the collection (hope it wasn't too late) but then i wonder how can i test RemoteApp? My trial period has expired, but i would really like to conduct further testing and not really paying for it , at least not for a minimum of 20 users.

Access denied office 365 / SharePoint online with Global Admin account

I am going crazy since two days solving an issue. The problem is;
I am making a console APP which is talking to SharePoint Online using global admin account (One which was specified as admin while making a new subscription). What I am trying to achieve is, I want to add a custom action using CSOM to each site collection and
subsite of office 365. That code works fine except on the root site collection which is pre-created by office 365 while signing up (i.e. https://xyz.sharepoint.com)
Whatever I do on that site collection, it says gives me below error;

Hello, Client has Office 365 E3 version, this plan provide Development site. We require to do extreme customization and
third party integration for that we are planning to go with Provider hosted app.
So, what are the additional software’s/licenses would require for Development,
QA, UAT and Production site for 6 developer?
How can we manage Development licenses cost of Visual Studio 2013, SharePoint 2013 Designer for 6 developers?
Do client need to purchase additional licenses of Office 365 E3 for QA and UAT site?
Do client need to buy additional license for Azure Web Site or is it provided in Office 365 E3 version by default, as we need this for Provider hosted app?

New Subscription with existing subscription

Hello,
I want to avail a new 400 Minutes call to India/per month subscription. Presently I am using the 60 minutes/month subscription. When I am trying to avail it show a message that It will overlap your current subscription.
I would like to know if I can use my existing subscription with new one.
If not then why? Please suggest me.

As a best practice, you should avoid moving data and any services from the subscription in which they were created. In the rare case that this becomes necessary, you must submit a support ticket to request assistance. It is not currently possible to fully
migrate data or services from one subscription to another without the assistance of Microsoft Support.
