Activate realestate on ecc6.0

Hello All,
As per the note 443311 on ecc6.0 I am trying to activate real estate extensions
To use the new solution, you first need to activate the Financials Extension Set (EA-FIN) for all clients and then activate the Real Estate Extension for each individual client.
So my question is how I can activate the real estate extensions?. does I have to activate EA-FIN also ?. if so please tell the step by step process for the activation of realestate extension on ecc6.

Need guidance to learn EWM

Hi,
I am trying to learn Extended Warehouse Management.
I have IDES Ehp4, ECC 6.0 system. I have activated the Business Framework for Extended Warehouse Management.
I have done those configurations necessary from ERP side.
What do I need to do to Install or activate SCM in ECC6.0?
This is because I found that all those transaction codes which starts with /SCWM/.... are SCM specific.
Those transaction code doesn't exist in my ECC system.
What additionally I have to do so that I can run it in IDES system?

Ok, I learned from Internet source that EWM is the part of SAP SCM package but not ECC.
I had ECC ERP. Though there are some nodes for EWM is present in ECC but the entire solution of EWM is based on SCM Net-weaver package.
I have seen so many views on my posts. But none of them replied to me.
I guess everyone was assuming I have SCM package installed.
I just needed the information I shared above (via my findings from Internet).

Can we activate Classic General Ledger in ECC6.0 during upgrade from 4.6C

Dear SAP Gurus,
Greetings
My Client's technical team had upgraded their system from 4.6C to ECC6.0 and they had activated classic GL instead of New GL. And they had also activated classic withholding tax in place of Extended Withholding tax.
They are facing some error during posting of transactions (like generation of excise invoices, posting of WHT transactions, etc.) I told that it can be a reason of not activating New GL.
Is my understanding correct...?? Can we activate classic GL during upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6.0...??
In case of a new client built (with ECC6.0), can we activate the classic GL instead of the New GL..??
Does the system will work correctly in the long run if they had activated classic GL and classic WHT...??

I think that you should read long text of OSS note 999614 carfully and you are
aware of the fact that you will have additional migration efforts in
case you need to migrate to new G/L later on.
In case you are convinced that this is the best way please feel free
to deactivate new G/L as described in note 999614.
Please make sure that you deactivate new G/L in all clients of your
new system in case there were already client copies done.
Yes this is possible and I would not automatically assume that
error during posting of transactions are due to New GL not being activated.
Note 756146 documents the issue and possible repercussions
of using Classic GL.
In the case of a new installation the new G/L accounting
is active by default in ERP. In principle, the use
of the classic GL is also possible for new customers, however,
SAP does not recommend it since this requires an additional
migration expense in later years.

We are going to upgrade our SAP system from 4.6C to ECC6 for SD/MM/WM/FI/CO.
We plan to implement just after this upgrade SAP Retail for fashion as our core system.
One of the advises we get is to activate a Retail parameter during the upgrade: it will ease the further implementation.
We have to analyse the impact on our upgrade project:
- what is this parameter ?
- are there any impacts on the existing modules ?
- the standard MM module is compatible with the Retail MM module ?
- is there any particular need in term of architecture we have to plan by activating the Retail parameter ?
In fact, why should we activate this parameter during the upgrade and not after the upgrade ?
Is there somebody who can help me ?

Plug in compatability between BW plugin in R/3 and BI - R/3 upgrade to ECC6

Hello,
we are running SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0 Release 700 Patch 19.
Our underlying R/3 system is still 4.6C with plugin 2004_1_46C ( yes, I know it is time )
We are upgrading R/3 to ECC6 with plug in P701 Patch 3.
Questions:
1.) I would like to know where exactly I can see which ECC6 plugin is copmpatible with our BI Version.
2.) Did anyone who has upgraded to ECC6 experience any particular issues when upgrading the plugin?
3.) Sense check of approach - so far the simplistic idea from a BW perspective is:
New R/3 system has been created and connected to BW :
1.)     In BW ACTIVATE SOURCE SYSTEM
2.)     In source system connection option : Replicate datasources and activate
3.)     Transfer global settings u2013 first simulate then update tables u2013 no rebuild should be necessary
Before the Plugin P 701 in the R/3 ( ECC6 ) system can be upgraded the BW delta queues need to be cleared in the source system ( R/3.)
4.)     Clear out V3 queue either via BW as part of the jobplan ( or manually via RSA7 but would mean loss of data )
5.)     After run of batch schedule during posting free period check in RSA7 for entries in delta queue - should be empty
                     now.
6.)     Does the clearing of the delta might need to be run twice to clear the queue completely ?????
8.)                 Deactivate logistics cockpit via SBIW ...LEBW ( is this mandatory ? )
9.)                 If delta queues are empty and the logistics cockpit is deactivated then upgrade the plug ins in R/3
10.)               Then repeat step 1-3 and reactivate the logistics cockpit again

8.) Deactivate logistics cockpit via SBIW ...LEBW ( is this mandatory ? ) - I think you just need to desachedule the collection jobs alone and not deactivate the LO Extractors and activate them once again...

Hi ,
To create OM infotype:
1. Go to SE11 and create a structure HRI9XXX (9XXX --> name of the infotype). Add the required fields to this structure and save and activate. then come out of it.
2. Go to PPCI and enter Infotype number (9XXX) and description.
3. Click create.
4. In the infotype category select details for the infotype.
5. Click create button. It should create the infotype.
6. Click on Check. A window with menu will open.
7. In that window navigate to Table Entries.
8. Under table Entries, select T777I and click on change.
9. It opens SM30. Click on Maintain.
10. Select the infotype and add information for "Time Constraint" and "Infotype Per Object Type".
11. Save.
12. Go back to check menu, see if all entries exist. Do not worry last 5 table entries. And you are done

ECC6 shutdown : CIF deactivation and CIF reactivation ?

We are running SAP ECC6 EHP5 and SAP SCM 7.02/Live Cache 7.9.
I am a sap basis guy, and it is quite difficult to perform any maintenance on ECC6 which would require a shutdown ( parameter change, kernel update, memory adjustment, ...) because of the impact it has on the CIF
I just wanted to share with you our current procedure just to determine if it is indeed a common practice.
I understand that similar issues have already been discussed on sap scn threads, but most of them concern SCM/APO shutdown, like here :
How to handle CIF before we try to apply Service Packages to SCM?
I could not find any note, best practice regarding ECC6 shutdown
So, whenever we stop the ECC6 ssytem , we need to run a CIF-DEACTIVATION job, which consists of the following steps :

HI Raoul,
No need to activate and de activate CIF when ever you stop ECC system.
Reason is you will send data to APO only When ECC is not available i.e., RFCs not working then you will set up the connections and do data transfers.
Check any data transfer is happening by directly/batch. Postpone those activities..
Prior to shut down ECC/SCM send remainders to users that the systems will not be available.
Use these 2 programs from SCM side when you have stopped ECC.
RSTRFCQ1 : Stop Outbound Queue
RSTRFCQ3 : Restart Outbound Queue.
In our project we have to postpone/stop the jobs for data transfers between ECC and APO.
However you will be having daily CIF jobs to make ECC and APO in synch. So, once you re start your ECC regular CIF jobs will activate new objects(master and trnasaction data) and will deactivate lod data.

How to print true type font in smartform with ECC6

hi,expert:
I want to use true type font "Comic Sans MS.ttf".
I upload this font file by SE73 named ZTT2I.
In SE73.. select the Radio button "Font Families" And click on the "True type Font Installation" button. click the font attribute ITALIC。
Our print device is LP01 and driver is CNSAPWIN
when I create a new style in smartform using the font ZTT, in preview window the font still like other font.
Our system is IDES ECC6, SAP_BASIS SAPKB70014
Now when I create smartfrom in language EN adn logon with language EN,it can print correct style of that font.
But if the smartform is base on language ZH or logon with language ZH, the output is not correct.
why? How to solve it?

Hi,
Is the problem that uploaded true type font ZTT is not used when language is ZH? Did you update the chinese version of the style associated with the smartform? There is a separate style for each language version. So you need to log on in Chinese language and update the style with new paragraph, character formats. Then you need to activate the style and smartform for ZH langauge also.

Error while creating RFC in ECC6.0

Hi Experts,
I am creating an RFC in ECC6.0 version. I have defined one field in import parameter which is of type a structure like: -
HEADER_DATA TYPE ZHEADER
here ZHEADER is a structure having some fields + a table type.
While activating the RFC it gives an error message like "Reference parameters are not allowed with RFC".
it also gives suggestion like : -
Diagnosis
You have defined a reference parameter for a remotely called function module. However, only value parameters are allowed in this kind of function module.
Procedure
Change the reference parameter to a value parameter.
I am not able to understand the Problem. Please help me.

Now i am able to activate it but it is showing warning message "Parameter HEADER_DATA (type ZHEADER) can reduce performance in RFC.
Can we remove this warning?

From RSA5 --> Choose datasource and select "Activate Datasource" --> system prompts for transport request. Do not save as local object. assign package and assign to transport request.
From RSA6 --> Select datasouce --> choose transport(truck icon) --> follow same as above
From LBWE --> if you do any changes or customization system prompt for transport request.

How to use a ECC6 ztable in SAP BI without create a SAP BI flow (DSO)

We have a specific parameters table ZTABLE in ECC6 to maitain a factory date, this table is updated via an ABAP program (ZPROGRAM) after a factory job.
The ZTABLE contain one a field u201CZDATEu201D that we need to store it into the infocube for each data loading (it represent the data loading date). In other words, we would like to use this table in SAP BI to read one field data (ZDATE) and store it into the infocube.
The problem is that we canu2019t use a standard BI flow (datasource, DSO u2026), because we could have a dump loading when we will try read the DSO (from ZTABLE) in the same time that we activate the DSO. The Ztable contain a several factories and is updated after each factory closing.
Do you have any idea to use this table without create a standard SAP BI flow (Datasource, DSO u2026) ?

Extended withholding Tax in ECC6

Hi All
We have activated extended withholding tax in IDES ECC6.Have completed all the stuff from IMG, while assigning Tax code to Vendot Master, we are not finding the 'WHTType' and 'Liable' field
ready to input. These two fields are disable. Further when we assigned Tax code 'C1' from the dropdown in Tax code field , which is ready to input , it is showing the below error that *'IN C1 are not specified in Table T059Z, though it is there in the said table.
It will be highly appreciable if any one can say the reason or if Notes needs to be applied to activate these fields.
Error Message'
Entry IN C1 does not exist in T059Z (check entry)
Message no. 00058
Diagnosis
Input values must be defined in Table T059Z. The value or values 'IN C1' are not specified in this table.
Procedure
Check whether the input is correct and correct if necessary.
Procedure for System Administration
If this is not an incorrect entry, check the system settings and change them if necessary.
If there is a connection to the Customizing system, you can maintain the system settings by choosing Customizing in the Performance Assistant or Maintain Entries (F5) when displaying the help in a modal dialog box.

Thanks for response.We maintained this link under Extended Withholding tax-- Calculation-withholding tax code, where we need to define tax type and tax code against country IN. This is coming under table T059Z as well , when we see through SE16.
But still we are not able to assign tax code in Vendor master due to the below error.

I can't activate the table... because Namespace /ICMPAC00/ does not exist !

I'm doing upgrade from R3 4.7 to ECC6.0. I have to correct an error in Phase ACT_700 phase
This is the error :
4 EDT013 Table "/ICMPAC00/P_T050" was not activated
I tried to correct the errore by activating manually the table trought SE11 in the shadow instance,
if I try to edit the table this error appears:
Namespace /ICMPAC00/ does not exist
Message no. TO123
Diagnosis
Object DEVC /ICMPAC00/PROVV is in namespace /ICMPAC00/. However, this namespace does not exist in your SAP system.
Objects from the namespace /ICMPAC00/ can only be edited if the namespace is in the namespace tables.
System Response
Editing is terminated.
Procedure
Choose an object name that is not assigned to the namespace /ICMPAC00/ (this means that it cannot begin with /ICMPAC00/).
For a list of the namespace prefixes in the SAP system, go to the Transport Organizer tools (Transaction SE03) and choose -> Objects -> Namespace Information System -> Select namespace.
I can't correct the error , because I can't modify the table !
Any idea to solve the problem ?

The table are not active in data dictionary, it means that are unusable...
I think that it is sufficent to create the namespace.
Do you know how to correct the errore mentioned in the first post :
Objects from the namespace /ICMPAC00/ can only be edited if the namespace is in the namespace tables.
If I correct this error I can activate the table and the upgrade can go on.

ECC6.0 Upgrade and BW Extractors

Hi Experts,
We are doing a Source system upgrade from 4.6c to ECC6.0 just a Technical upgrade. Can you please let me know if we need to delete all the delta queues and re-initialize delta.
Following are the 4.6c Pre- Export Activities in relation BW.
1. Lock the users
2. Clear the entire delta queues in RSA7 (till we achieve - 0 records in BW) and make sure no outbound queues are empty in SMQ1
3. Delete Set -up table data.
4. Reshedule V3 Jobs
5. ReSchedule - BW process chains
After upgrading to ECC6.0
1. SM59 connections with new system.
2. Restore Source System connections in RSA1
3. Replicate DS and Activate Transfer Structure. (In relation to BW: we have done the technical upgrade from 3.x to BI7.0 (but the datasoucre and data flow are still 3.x).
After all Post processing of ECC6.0 Upgrade activities, the source system is only available to users for posting the transaction.
Please let me know if we need to delete all the delta queues and re - initialize delta.
1.We are not installing any new business content extractors from ECC6.0 - Just using same 4.6c extractors and structures.
2.And consider that no users post any transaction after clearing the delta queues in RSA7.

There is no need to reinitialize the extractors, the steps you mentioned in your original post are enough, the reason
for these steps is to make sure that there is no data left in sm13, lbwq, ras7, setup tables etc, you need to run the related infopackages twice on the BW side to clear the BW repeat part of the queue in RSA7, if you have a doubt that this was
not done you can goto rsa7, select the queue and on the next screen you can check if there is any data available in the
delta repeat part of the queue.
The reason for the step is that that the upgrade could potentially change an extract structure for a datasource and then if you
have data in the old format it may not be possible to upload it in the old format.
I repeat though there is NO need to delete the current entries in RSA7 and reinitialize.

High Availability Test Cases for ECC6.0, PI 7.0, BI 7.0???

I am in a pretty difficult situation here. I have to write test cases for the components in the High Availability environment. We are running AIX 5L with HACMP/XD clusters ACTIVE/PASSIVE setting. The following components are in the landscape, ECC6.0, PI 7.0 BI 7.0 cFolders 4.0 Portal 7.0 SLD 2004s and Solman 4.0. I have to write test cases for the above components especially ECC, PI BI and cFolders in the HA environment as to
   1.<b>WHAT WILL BE THE EFFECT ON OTHER COMPONENTS IF ECC</b> <b>FAILOVER and so on for PI and BI</b>,
   2. How do I check the consistency of the system after a failover, since the time for a failover will be anywhere between 3 - 4 mins.
Can anyone pls give me a 5 or 6 checks like
Checking RFC connections
ABAP dumps
Consistency check (txn: SICK)   and so on
In the test cases I have to make sure that after a failover the system is up and ready to perform the activities that it was able to before the Failover......

If you want you can activate SCM_SNC_GEN_1 depending upon business needs or configuration.
As per my understanding there is no need to activate any business function but if you need additional feature of SNC to be used then refer below help link for more details:

In ECC you are going for EPh5 which means no need to activate any additional business function(Normally SNC needs EPh4 only for some the latest feature to be use like in workorder collaboration ManufacturingWorkOrderInformation and ManufacturingWorkOrderProductionProgressNotification XML are used if ECC is with EPh4)
