Dear DNR,
SPRO --> IMG --> Activate SAP ECC Extensions (Or, T. Code: SFW5)
Go to Tab: Industry Business Function
Select Business Function Set: ISR_RETAIL - SAP Retail
A new line will be appeared below.
Current Status will be OFF. Click within Field: Current Status. It will pop-up a list. Select "X - ON".
Important: I've read somewhere - Once Activated, cannot Roll-back.

Activation of IS - Retail in ECC 6.0

Hi Sap Gurus
Can any one explain me how to activate IS - Retail in ECC 6.0. I had already changed the option in to ON mode IS - Retail in T.Code SFW5. But the status is still showing Inactive.Is any patch required for this to get activated

Go to SFW5
In the that you will find the business function set :select IS retails over there.and check the componet you need
Then on the top you will find System settings---->Activate
Now click on the activate button and run the job in the background .

IDES IS-Retail Package Needs to be installed explicitly.Unfortunately, I dont have one so if you have that IS-Retail Package for IDES IS-Retail or The Path from where i can down load this.

Goto Service Market place and goto download page. Then click on Search for Installations and Upgrades under Installations and Upgrades.
In the search tab fill with EA-RET.

1 - You don't activate Netweaver in an ECC system. Netweaver is a technology platform and products are based on that.

How to activate Retail system

Hello guys,
I need some urgent solution about how to activate EA-Retail extension set!!
I went to SPRO to activate. there it shows it is active... but in SPRO still plants are as Plant( which should change to Site)
also I can't run any Retail system tcode (Like MM41, MM42 etc.)
Please advise with the steps?

Please find below screen shot, based on screen shot you can activate JVA accounting for your company code.
Please follow below instruction to activate JVA.
1.If Joint Venture Accounting is installed, it is not necessarily used for all company codes. To activate JVA for a company code, it has to be switched on in FI customizing but also in JVA..
The activation is done with this transaction. For the activation it has to be decided which JV ledgers should be used. The JV standard ledger is 4A for data collection and 4B as billing ledger. Every ledger can have one transaction currency and up to two local currencies. Since FI can have up to three local currencies, JV offered also the possibility to use an additional ledger - 4C as additional data collection ledger and 4D as additional billing ledger. But this additional ledger should only be used if necessary.
2.Please check also the currencies for the JVA ledger. The currencies for the collection ledgers should be identical to the currencies for the billing ledgers (e.g. currencies for ledger 4A are equal to currencies of 4B). Also those ledger should only use the currencies delivered from FI. If an additional curreny is added to the JV ledger, please keep in mind that those currencies are converted on line level (actually from FI-SL) and those currencies might not balance per document.

       1.Use Tcode SFW5 to activate Retail switch - Use Business Function as ISR_Retail System
       2.Use Tcode W10T to see retail specific menu.You can use System->User Profile->Own Data by giving W10T to set your default transaction and then save.

Product Costing in SAP Retail Solution

Hi experts
I have a question about product costing in SAP Retail (SAP ECC 6.0).
In material master data (Tr. MM43 - Tr. MM42) Product Costing view for Logistics:CD sheet is activated.
Although, for Logistics:Store sheet is not activated.
In customizing, we have tried to activate the Product Costing view for Logistics:Store sheet, but there no standard dynpro to use it. So, we have some doubts:
- Do we have to create customer (Z) dynpros in order to activate Product Costing view for Logistics:Store sheet?
- Does SAP allows Product Costing functionality in SAP Retail solution?
If both answers are YES, i have another doubt:
- In our business scenario, the store is supplied by the Distribution Center. So, does it make sense to run product costing for
a articles in a Store?
We think it makes sense to apply product costing functionality in Distribution center. In order to analyze deviations from
Standard costs to real costs. But we are not sure about Stores.
Does anyone have experience in customizing product costing functionality for a SAP retail in a Logistics:Store?

Product hierarchy in R3 is termed as Merchandise category hierarchy in SAP IS retail
But in R3 Product hierarchy is not used much but Merchandise category hierarchy that is termed as MCH is a basic thing reqd for defining master data that is article master data which is nothing but material master in R3
As i said Product hierarchy levels are available in R3 also but not much used
Merchandise category hierarchy levels is most commonly used in SAP IS retail
What we call material group in R3 is same as Merchandise category in SAP IS retail and material in R3 is article in Retail
Merchandise category hierarchy levels
Say a Retail mall has merchandise items
Under merchandise there are 2 divisions Food and non food
Under nonfood say there are 2 divisions say hardware and apparel
Under apparel there 2 divisions say Mens wear and ladies wear
Under mens wear you have t shirts,shirts and pants etc
Here t shirts,shirts and pants etc are individual articles
Menswear and ladies wear are material groups
Hardware and apparel are merchandise hierarchy level 1
Food and non food merchandise hierarchy level 2
Retail mall is merchandise hierarchy level 3
like that hierarchy levels are commonly defined and used as a must to have efficient master data in SAP retail and the maximum no of hierarchy to have ideally is 6 apart from Merchandise category
In our example we have defined three levels
The same functionality can be used as product hierarchy in R3 also but doesnt been put in to use much
In Retail the no of articles a store is going to manage to be will be huge hence this sort of seggregation is needed there must

Activating Retail 4.7 System

Dear Gurus,
I have installed SAP IDES 4.7.1 in my system. I want to activate Retail in my system. As Tx. SFW5 is not available in SAP 4.7, i went to SPRO =>SAP R/3 Extension Set and checked on EA-RET(Retail). However on saving i get error "Data Record does not exist". There is no detailed help for this error. Could anyone help me installing Retail in my system or anyone who has faced similar error? Thanks a lot in advance.
PS. I am unable to upgrade to ECC 6 due to system constraints.

"The following software components do not allow you to set retail flag.

LSOFFE    LSOFE (Learning Solution - Front End)

Could you please help me to deactivate the above components present.

Intercompany Stock Transfer in Retail

Dear Experts,
I have the following issue:
we need to customize intercompany stock trasfer in Retail system (ECC 6).
I not how to do it in normal SAP.
Is it different in Retail?
I cannot assign Sales Org/Distr Channel/Division and Customer to the plants in "Set Up Stock Transport Order".
There is no plants created for Retail (with T001W-VLFKZ field not empty).
Does it mean that intercompany stock transfer is configured differently in Retail (different customizig transactions)?
If yes where can I find detailed description of configuration steps for intersompant stock transfer in Retail?

so is scenario in retail is the same as in normal SAP but only customizing done with different transactions?
For example in normal SAP I would start procedd with creating Purchase order from ordering plant, indicating vendor which has suppliyng plant (LFA1-WERKS) corresponding to delivering plant. By this field system would understand that this is intercompany stock trasfer order.
In retail I cannot assign field LFA1-WERKS since it gives me error: "0101 is not an industry plant; assignment not possible. You wanted to assign plant 0101 to the vendor. You cannot make this assignment as 0101 is not an industry plant. You can link a retail plant to a vendor via the plant master.".
WHERE I CAN LINK VENDOR TO PLANT? I cannot do it in WB02 and also in WB08!
Please help!

It is warning only the interanal table adjustment only , it will not be a problem , the data sources are activated
sae data sources u can find in RSA6 replicate in BI and see the data extraction and Check in RSA3 also.

Activate Contact Person Functionallity in Vendor master

Hi Colleagues,
We have an issue with Contact Person functionality in Vendor master, specifically with his activation in order to use that funtion menu (Goto -> General Data -> Contact Person). Actually this command is missing in our system.
Customizing nodes about contact person (IMG -> Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Vendor Master -> Contact Persons) specify as mandatory requisite set the system as a Retail SAP System.
We analized the information and executed report GETSYSDEF and the system showed message SYSTEMSWITCH016 "System is set as a manufacturing system"
Our SAP system is a mySAP ERP 5.0 with component SAP_APPL level 0021.
We have several doubts related above explanations:
Is the system able to be customized as a Retail system without loose or damage some actual component (his functionality) as manufacturing system?
Which is the procedure to follow in order to activate Retail SAP System?
Is enough to make settings on IMG node "Activation Switch for SAP R/3 Enterprise Extension Set" flagging on application "EA-RET" or in other hand, there are other additional or different steps to make?
I appreciate any help you can offer me. Thanks in advance.

First thanks for your response.
We don´t want to change manufacturing system for retail system, We try to find the way to add retail system to our actual manufacturing system only for get contact person functionality.
We need to use that functionality on vendors at tx XK01 or tx XK02 / MK02, in order to link all vendor contacts making a validation of each one against a table Z containing prohibited values. If a contact person would exist in that table the system would show an error message.
I hope to be clearly in my explanation. Thanks again for your help.
