Activatiing BC sets in Production

Good Morning Everybody...
I am facing a problem in BC sets activation.
I hav created BC sets for the individual TP that were generated and was moved into production.
When i tried activating those in the production, it throws out a error as"Activation of BC Sets is not allowed in the productive logon client"
If you people have knowledge on this please let me know.

Hi all,
Currently, i am working on SEM BCS project. The consolidation process involved elimination on profit & loss in inventory (IPI). Understand from SAP help, there is requirement to set up product group.
a) Can anyone tell me the detail steps involved in setting up the product group in ucwb?
b) Does the product group has relationship with MM module (eg material master)?

b). These product groups don't linked to MM. It's just some arbitrary classification. Certainly, if you wish, you may make it as close to MM's classification as possible.
a). To set it up is very easy and ordinary: dbl click on Product Group, in the new frame right click - create (a hierarchy). In the ''Nodes not allocated create groups you need, drag and drop them into hierarchy.

How to make a set of Product Recovery discs

Hi everybody.
          I meet some problem ,and need help.
          My notebook is T61p with Vista system
          I want to create a set of Product Recovery discs.And I click Start --> All Programs --> ThinkVantage --> Create Recovery Media.
          However ,I can't find Create Recovery Media in my PC .
          Where can I download the  Create Recovery Media and install it ?
          Anyone can help?

Try to find the the program RRmedia.exe with windows search.
Click it to start and create your media. You´ll need more than 6 CD´s or 2 or 3 DVD´s.
In my system (XP) you´ll find RRmedia.exe in: "C:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\Lenovo\spi\RRMedia.exe"

Credit Limit set for Product wise

HI ,
We have a requirement of Customer credit limit has to set at Product ( Material) level , can it be achieved through FSCM Credit Management .
Say Customer A has Deal with Product X and Product Y , Product X credit Limit : 100000 , B = 200000 overall 300000 for Customer A.

As I discribed in example , Sales is to Single Customer , but sales contain multiple products . As a Business Credit Policy , we required to set up credit limit for each product wise to the same customer .

New-AzureReservedIP : Cannot validate argument on parameter 'Slot'. The argument "MyIP" does not belong to the set "Staging,Production"

I am trying to reserve an IP address in Microsoft Azure using simple PowerShell cmdlet:
$reservedIP = "MyIP"
$location = "West US"
New-AzureReservedIP – ReservedIPName $reservedIP –Label $reservedIP –Location $location
I get an error:
New-AzureReservedIP : Cannot validate argument on parameter 'Slot'. The argument "MyIP" does not belong to the
set "Staging,Production" specified by the ValidateSet attribute. Supply an argument that is in the set and then try
the command again.

BC Sets for Product Compliance

Hi guys,
We are looking at option of copying customization table values using BC sets for Product Compliance.
I don't think we can use BC sets for Incident Management and Risk Assessment part.
However I know you can use BC sets for product compliance part so my question is how do we use
BC sets? Any documentation/link or suggestions on what are the steps?

we are not using BC sets. I have only come in touch with them using EHS classic and not EHSM.

PS: you can execute in any case what is known as an "cross transport"; This option should be well known (I assume) as it it one "classical" solution to get one configuraiton from one SAP system to a different one (pay attention: Release status should be the same; but this is true as well for BC sets).
this is nbot the same as using a BC set !

Spawn setting in production environment

Has anyone heard or been told by oracle analyst that Oracle doesn't support spawn setting in production environment?
Answer that I received was enabling spawn can be flaky. The domain may easily hang without explanation and it's always been like that, so we don't support spawn in production.
We have 16 GB of memory

According peopletools performance guideline, CRM and HRMS use about 100-150 MB per application server process. We have lots of customization, so I will just bump it up to 250MB. If we are to disable spawn by setting min = max to 25, this means the app server process will constantly use at least 6GB of memory. We should still be able to avoid the memory issue, right? Unless my calculation is wrong...

Custom metadata sets for Productions?

I've added a new metadata set that suits our needs, but it is not showing up as an option when creating a new production - is there some option that I missed in order to allow this, or is there a completely different process involved with creating a new metadata set for production folders? Can someone tell me what I missed or walk me through how to do that? Thank you!

Did you make sure to assign the new MD Set to Productions and not Media? If so there must be something else wrong with the way you set it up. Make sure the ID says:
paproductionyourmetadatasetname
If it does not ID this way it will not show in new Productions.

Is Company Code Activation (Set to Productive) typically included in Mock Cutover

Hello.
In a typical mock cutover, is the setting of the Company Code to productive typically included?
Given that it can be re-set, I can't think of a down side to doing so. I'm just looking for what is standard practice.

Hi David,
The purpose of Company Code set to Productive is mainly to prevent any inadvertent deletion of data by the users like resetting depreciation data, deleting vendors / customers etc. For example, If one of your cut-over task is to delete the some of transaction data in your test system, then you need to remove this tick and delete and then put it back. It all depends on your requirements, how you want to use this field.
But, as far as production system is concerned, you MUST ensure you have selected this check box in OBY6 transaction code. Include this as a manual task in your cut-over plan. Otherwise, any inadvertent deletion of data would become very costly for the business.

Set a productive ECC as source for two BI's?

I don't know if this is an obvious question (sorry if it is)... but I've looking for related info and found nothing.
I have my productive ECC system working as source system for the productive BI. Now I'd need to connect this ECC as source for my development BI system also. When setting the connection I get errors RSAR 371, RSAR 373, RSAR 374, RSAR 8 and E0 414. I found some threads about these errors but related to system changes. I don't want to change source systems but add a new one.
Is it possible to have an ECC as source for several BI systems?

Yes you can set up 2 BI system after ECC6 system.
Check that the set up of the logical source system in ECC is done correctly with specific idoc segments, specific ports of communication, etc.
You may haveto ask a basis expert for that
The only issue you might face is linked to the delta sources not target system dependant.In thatcases you might loose the delta data into one of your BI system

Printing setting in Production Scheduling Profile

Hello Guys,
In Production Scheduling Profile (OPKP) there is a config setting "On Release" Execute Printing.
I used this setting.
But I could not print the production again.
I want to re-print the production order.
How do I enable re-printing the production order?

Hi George,
the setting simply define that the production order is printed when the order is released. This setting should not have any effect to reprint.
Did you get any error? Are you able to print when you push the print button manually?
Settings in OPK8 are correct ?

Delivery Date not Set in Production Order

I am trying to settle a MTS (make to stock) production order that is both CNF and DLV. When I try to calculate variances, I get a KV 239 message stating that the delivery date is not set. I set this order to TECO and went to recalculate WIP but the production order cannot settle because this error still remains. When I drill down on the error, it states that there was an error in the program which set this order to DLV status, when no delivery date has been set. I can't see where this is looking for the delivery date. Has anyone come across this issue and if so, how would I go about correcting this?

Hi Team,
Looks like it is not a common problem probably you need to look out for any OSS notes.
Any you can check the Delivery date of the order by
1. In the order display mode CO03 hit the "I" - Status Information Icon which on the right side where order status is displayed. Now system should take you to the Display status screen, here place your cursor on the "Delivered" text and go to the menu bar : Extras-->Change documents-->For Status, now system will display when the DLV status was set.
Other option.
2.In the order display mode CO03 use the menu Goto--->Documented Goods Movment. Now system will display all the goods moved against this order select the last GR-101 movement and double click the line, now system should take you to the Material Document in this check the posting date... that should be the delivery date.

Storage location & backflush must be automatically set in Production order

Hi Guru's ,
While creating production order the storage location and backflush for the Components (ROH Articles) inside the Production order are manually selected.
Is there any way, where i can set them (storage location and backflush) as a default whenever i create a Producton order ??? This means whenever i enter the components in a production order the system must automatically show the Storage Location and backflush as ticked.
Pls help on this thing ....

Hi,
To set the backflush always then in the material master MRP2 view set backflush " Always".
To set the automatic storage location then you can define the "Stock determination group".
This is will be help full if ur keeping material in more then one storage location.
If you are keeping in the single storage location then in the MRP2 view maintain the storage location in the "production storage location " filed.

System Status "SETT" of Production Order is not appearing

Production Order is not achieving system status of "SETT" even after settlement of an order resulting in incorrect output in Order informatiojn system.
Please let me know the possible reasons for the same.
