  • Activating Adobe Acrobat Pro X on Laptop

I am attempting to activate Pro X on my new laptop with Windows 8.1 and am getting a message that my registration number is correct but that I need to furnish another "qualifying" registration number from Adobe Acrobat Pro 7,8 or 9. I don't have any of those qualifying registrations (checked Adobe account online). Several years ago, I purchased Pro X as an upgrade, and it has been working on my desktop. Suggestions? Thank you!

Acrobat CAN NOT be installed on a server.  This is CLEARLY spelled out in the EULA that accompanies it.
If you need PDF technology from Adobe for server-side, that would be our LiveCycle/ADEP family of products.

  • Need help activating Adobe Acrobat XI PRO FOR WINDOWS?

need help activating Adobe Acrobat XI PRO FOR WINDOWS?

    Hi jurleana15722686,
Are you working with a subscription version or perpetual (where you bought the software outright)? Are you running into a particular problem or receiving an error message when you try to activate?
For starters, please check out this document: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html.
If you're still having trouble, please let us know what the exact issue is, including any error messages that you're receiving. It would also be helpful to know what version of Windows you're using.

  • Can I use a buisness version of Adobe Acrobat Pro on a computer that has already an active adobe ID with personal (non buisness versions) programms?

I have an Abode ID with Photoshop for private use.
For work I need an updated version of Adobe acrobat pro.
But how can I get it to work on the same computer?
Can I add a buisness version to the Adobe (private) ID?
Or can I use 2 adobe ID's at the same time?

I don't think there are such things as business and non-business versions of software as far as Adobe is concerned.  How you manage the installations of the software you purchase from them is your call.  If there is some protocol for doing this that is defined by your workplace then you should inquire with whomever manages that protocol.

  • I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro XI via email download via the Dell Store yesterday. The product key doesn't work/fit into any of the "Registration" templates I've look through on the Adobe website. Manufacturer Part # 65195473.

I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro XI via email download code via the Dell Store yesterday. The product key given doesn't work/fit into the boxes on any of the "Register" pages on the Adobe website. Therefore, although I paid for the product and it is downloaded, it is not "installed" and will not work to print documents from emails, etc.

    Hi williamc48321229,
You must have received redemption code via email from the reseller.
Please ensure that you are entering the right code as that would be needed to obtain the serial number for activating the product.
For more details on this, please refer:
    Find your serial number quickly
    Hope this helps.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro XI Missing Deactivation in drop down

I work for a small business. Plenty of users have this product Adobe Acrobat Pro XI. There is SIMPLY NOT a Deactivation button in the Help drop down. CONTRARY to what Adobe's help says online, this is NOT working and it's kind of ridiculous I have to work so hard to deactivate this product to install it again. That should be elementary. Any help appreciated so I can get my people working again using this product would be so great. Thank You

    Hi forumdweller,
You're right; it should not be a chore to deactivate your software. You mention that you work for a small business; did that business buy a volume license for Acrobat? If so, so there wouldn't be a Deactivate option, and you'd have to contact the volume licensing administrator in your office for help.
If Acrobat was part of a suite, then try deactivating from another product in the suite.
Please see Activation & Deactivation Help.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro (and Safari) take minutes to quit!!!

Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.2.0 (and Apple Safari 4.0.4) take several minutes to quit on Mactel with Mac OS X 10.5.8. I thought that they had frozen after selecting to quit such applications, or logout, restart or shutdown the Mac, but if I leave the Mac for several minutes, they eventually quit.
What can it be? The Console does not indicate any special activity.

    Update:
If I open Acrobat or Safari and immediately or after a while I quit them, they quit quickly as expected. No problem. But if I leave them all day open and then try to quit them, then:
    - Acrobat takes several minutess to quit. Console shows nothing. After a while, Activity Monitor shows Acrobat (Not responding) taking about 5% CPU and also spindump taking about 10% CPU. Eventually spindump does not show and after some minutes, Safari shows as normal (without the not responding red label), and a few seconds later it quits normally.
    - Safari takes several minutess to quit. It shows the same behavior, but this time Console shows: PopChar installed fonts changed.

  • I subscribed to Adobe Acrobat Pro but it is telling me to install.  I already have the trial version for another 3 days.  Do I have to install it again?

I subscribed to Adobe Acrobat Pro XI.  I have the trial version for another 3 days.  The e-mail confirming the subscription said to install it, but I already have the trial version. Do I have to install it again?

    Hello,
No, you don't need to re-install the Acrobat again. Just license it when the next time trial prompt appears. The moment you put your email on which you have purchased the subscription, it will get activated.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended | Print Option | Enable Flash Object Issue

    Hi,
We are facing some problems with Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended Print Option.
We had a requirement to embed interactive Flash graphs in the PDF file, user will interact with these graphs and whatever graph he plotted, the data for it will be saved in PDF text field, so that on the next launch we can fetch the data to the flash from PDF text fields, so that user can see what changes he did last time. This works great, we are able to successfully comminicate from PDF to flash and then from Flash to PDF.
Please note that, PDF can have multiple graphs on different pages.
The issue we are facing is when we interact with the graphs and then try to print the PDF, in that case only the currently active graph or flash file (The page on which user is currently on) will be seen enabled in the print, the graphs on the other pages, which are not currently visible are seen in disabled state hence the data on it does not get printed.
We have also used the "RMA.activated = true;" command, still no success. Please refer to the screen shots below to understand the issue in more detail..
    Flash Embed Options:
In the Print Option, it looks disabled:
The required/desired output is as follows:
We want all Graphs to get printed in enabled state and with the data user had entered. Please do let me know, if there is any workaround to achive this functionality.

Which version. I think it is a minimum of AA9.2 that is needed for X64. Anyway, you should probably either open Acrobat and do the update (help menu) or download all of the updates from Adobe>downloads>updates and install them in order. The current version is AA9.3.4.

  • Upgraded to Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.1 and prior versions still present cause confusion.

After buying Adobe Acrobat X Pro, installing it, I see Adobe Acrobat 8 Provessional and Adobe Acrobat Pro still are listed as "applications".  Should these be removed?  If so, does using the Acrobat Uninstaller.app allow me to specifically delete each without destroying my Adobe Acrobat X Pro version? I use Mac OS X Version 10.6.8.  I would like to avoid reinstalling Acrobat X Pro, but for no particular reason except that things are working so well at the moment. This is what is listed on my computer now.

    Hi,
Before removing Acrobat 8 please check the version of AdobePDFViewer plug-in.
Go to (Drive where OS is installed)\Library\Internet Plug-Ins\ and click on AdobePDFViewer.plugin to check its version. Now follow the instructions below
    a) If the version of plugin starts with 10 then
         - Launch Acrobat 8 Professional
         - Go to Help-> Activation->Deactivae
         - Then quit Acrobat 8
          - Trash the "Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional" folder
    b) If the version of plugin starts with 8 then
          - Go to Acrobat 8 Professional folder
          - Launch the Acrobat Uninstaller app
          - in the browse dialog for uninstall select Adobe Acrobat Professional present in "Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional" folder
          - Reinstall Acrobat X Pro

  • Is there a network version of Adobe Acrobat Pro 9?

Is there a network version of Adobe Acrobat Pro 9?  If not, are their volume licenses available?
What additional adobe products need to be purchased in order to run Adobe Acrobat 9 on a network?
Is there a licensing system that allows, for example, 4 licenses to be purchased that allows any user on the network to use Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 so long as only a maximum of 4 users are using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 at any one time.
    Thanks

Graffiti's right, there is volume licensing available for most any Adobe product, where you get a single activation key for multiple systems and are able to administer your license via an easy web-based tool, plus you also get a price break on the order...
But you don't necessarily have to call Adobe Sales for pricing, as there are now online volume stores open in Europe, the UK, and North America, with no "signature" contracts to sign.
And oddly enough just for Acrobat, Adobe's got a volume special offer on now through most of April – buy 4, get 1 free.
Also wrote recently about this exact question - http://prodesigntools.com/products/adobe-volume-licensing-program.html
    Hope this helps!

  • Problems activating the Acrobat Pro part of the CS 4 software.

I am having problems activating the Acrobat Pro program which is part of the Academic Version of CS4 -Design Premium that I bought. Once I finally got most of CS4 activated (and that had several problems as well!), I just kept getting the request to fill in my serial number. Each time I tried using the only Serial Number I had been issued, I would see imediatly a red "X" to the right of the "incorrect" serial number, along with a message that my time using the software had expired.
I have called and E-mailed Adobe several times now, and tried all of Adobe's suggestions: removed certain files, uninstall everything and the reload from the begining, do both, etc. So far, nothing has worked. As I said all the other probrams are now activated, but the only thing activated right now is my level of frustration with Acrobat Pro. Can anyone help me on this? I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    ThomasE365

You do not activate Acrobat from the suite. You activate another program in the suite, then Acrobat should be activated. If you are having a problem, then I recommend de-activating, uninstalling everything. Run the CS4 clean script: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html
But on the offhand chance it is a license problem you can try this first: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/licensing.html

  • Installing Adobe Acrobat Pro to another computer

How can I transfer Adobe Acrobat Pro XI to another computer?

Disable on old computer, then install and activate it on new computer.
You can have two active installations, so you may not need to disable it on the first computer.

  • Safari (and Adobe Acrobat Pro) take minutes to quit!!!

Safari 4.0.4 (and Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.2.0) take several minutes to quit on Mactel with Mac OS X 10.5.8. I thought that they had frozen after selecting to quit such applications, or logout, restart or shutdown the Mac, but if I leave the Mac for several minutes, they eventually quit.
What can it be? The Console does not indicate any special activity.

Thanks for the reply. Short answer: Safari, or Acrobat Pro.
In short, if I open Safari (or Acrobat Pro, or both), and quit them after a while (a few minutes or so), no problem. They quit as expected.
But if I open any of them (or both) in the morning (I cold boot the Mac in the morning and shut it down at night every single day) and try to quit any of them (Safari or Acrobat) at night, each one of them takes several minutes to quit. In fact, if instead of quitting them I try to shut down, I get the error:
"Logout has timed out" - "The application Safari failed to quit and is not responding"
    or
"Logout has timed out" - "The application Acrobat failed to quit and is not responding"
If then I leave the Mac idle a few minutes and them try to shut down the Mac again, it shuts down (this time, immediately; in one second or so).
IN SUMMARY. Something is preventing Safari (and the same for Acrobat Pro) to shut down normally in a few seconds. Instead, they need minutes to shut down.
