Activating BCUSER in SAP Netweaver 7.3

Recently Installed the Trial version for SAP Netweaver 7.3.
After installation the BCUSER was activated and is accessible. However on trying to write a program I get error message of saying "You are not registered as a developer."
Also when I run the Transaction SLICENSE, I can see that there is no license installed. During installation i did not see any option for license nor did I receive and mail with activation keys.
Kindly advice as what need to be done to activate the developer account.

Hello,
in the installation directory there should be a file NWABAPTRIAL70304_64/README/welcome.html with the "default" developer key for BCUSER. The key should be 07222097363139263004.
Kind regards

  • Using BCUSER user sap netweaver version 7.0 trial sp12 part 1

When using bcuser user for coding. I cannot create, display or change the programs. But when I use SAP* or DDIC users. I can display the programs but cannot change them as they do not have developers key. How do I fix the BCUSER user to allow me to to create, or change or display programs.

Is it not asking you for a developer key for BCUSER?  Did you apply the developer key already?
Also, make sure that you are work with custom objects, for example, if you want to create a program, make sure that you start the name with "Z" or "Y".

  • MS Active Directory and SAP NetWeaver ID Mgmt..

    Hi Experts,
We have NW IDM 7.1 installed on HP UX with Oracle 10.2 .
    I was wondering if;
1.This architecure will workwith AD 2000 for User / group creation on AD. ( I am refering to slide 97 in ManagementIDM Connector Overview document)
    2. Our AD iwill be upgraded from 2000 o 2003 in near future. What would be the impactof this upgrade on NW IDM side ? Are there any tasks fthat need to be carried out pre-upgrade and post upgrade on NW IDM side ?
    Regards,
    Shailesh

    Hi Sahailesh,

Yes, the LDAP connector is generic and will work with all LDAPs and LDAP3 Derivitaves such as AD, Novell DirXML etc.  The Active directory specific templates will work with Active Directory 2000, 2003 and 2008.
    2. Our AD iwill be upgraded from 2000 o 2003 in near future. What would be the impactof this upgrade on NW IDM side ? Are there any tasks fthat need to be carried out pre-upgrade and post upgrade on NW IDM side ?
There really should not be any, although you should do a complete test of all your use cases.  This is a time where the infrastructure team might make changes to the AD schema, sctructure and policies, all of which can have an impact on your IDM setup.  Not unusal for there to be changes in DN structures and password policies in particular.
    Hope this helps.

  • SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial / field 'Active Hardware Key' is empty

    Hello,
I just installed SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version and I am trying to obtain a licence
I log into the system with SAP* user and click on Administer SAP Licenses
I used the transaction code SLICENSE....but then the field 'Active Hardware Key' is empty (so I am not able to request a licence as I have to provide this Hardware key...)
Does anywone have an idea ?
    Thanks...

Hardware key should be there in SLICENSE, but anyway you can get that.
Login with <SIDADM> user and execute saplicense -get, it will give you the hardware key. when you receive the License file then you have to install the license from SLICENSE only.

  • Problems starting SAP NetWeaver AS Trial Version

    Hello Forum,
Here is the summary of problem that I am facing starting SAP Netweaver AS Trial Version (post suucessful installation). I am mentioning successful installation is because on the day of the installation, I could start the NetWeaver AS Server and login using user BCUSER and go into SE80 (Object Navigator). The trouble started appearing thereafter.
    Here is the summary -
When I dont have MS loopback Adapter activated on my Laptop, I get the following in SAP MMC
The dispatcher process thread begins but haves a status - cannot connect to the message server
When I install and activate MS loopback Adapter on my Laptop, I get the following in SAP MMC
The Message Server and Dispatcher Starts Off, After a while (a minute), Dispatcher status turns to Message Server COnnection OK, Dialog Queue Time 0:00, after a While (a minute), it gives a message and stops. After this point Message Server is shown as running and Dispatcher is stopped.
I am attaching the dev_disp for reference.  Obviously I think the problem lurking somewhere in the midst of Network Adapter Configuration - Please help me to resolve the same.

  • SAP Netweaver 7.02 ABAP Trial Version - Password logon no longer possible

    Hi All,
i have successfully installed a Trial version of SAP Netweaver 7.02 and GUI. Now some troubles  occur when i try to login using the SAP GUI. Now i see an error message: "Password logon nolonger possible - too many failed attempts". Have anyone got this problem? I tried to login with BCUSER(pwd: abcd1234), DDIC (Installer PW: 19920706) and SAP (Installer PW: 06071992)*
    but all were unsuccesfull.
    Thanks for any tips

    Hi,
try deleting that entry from usr02 at the database level.
    delete from usr02 where mandt='<client>' and bname='SAP*';
This will unlock the sap* user and reset its password back to 'pass'.
Then you will be able to reset DDIC when logged on as SAP*.
Sometimes the SAP* user is not activated. There is a profile parameter
login/no_automatic_user_sapstar - the value for this should be 0 if
want to be able to logon to the system with the user SAP* . Make sure
this profile parameter is set in the INSTANCE profile.
Remember if you update this profile or include it in the system
profiles you will need to bounce the server for it to take effect.
    hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Vincent

    Hi,
I had the same problem, but i didn't get any answer in that forum.
I deinstalled the SAP Software (regard the end of the threat
https://forums.sdn.sap.com/click.jspa?searchID=22036513&messageID=6625975) and then I installed the software again. Then the system ran and i didn't have any more problems with the message server.
I didn't installed the MS Loopback Adapter, because i am connected to a network.
    Best regards,
    Günther Klee

    Hi all
    I've read your entrys.
Saw that the solution is missing.
It can be found in the manuals:
    1. Download the "Registry Clean Tool for SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP" and use it.
    2. Download the latest Version of "SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP" and un-rar it.
    3. Install the "Microsoft Loopback Adapter" an activate it.
    4. Retry to install.
    Summary:
So the error 200 was caused for the first time from trying an installation without a Loopback Adapter, and after that from trying to re-install without cleaning the registry.
    Now its working fine.

  • SAP Netweaver 7.0 installation - serious issue (startsap db n4sadm)

    Hi,
We are trying to setup SAP Netweaver 7.0 (Test Drive x-86 edition) on Fedora 12. We have successfully ran the "install.sh" file. The DB2 instance gets installed and we are able to start it as 'db2n4s' user using the 'db2start' command (we could as well stop using db2stop).
But, we are facing issues when we start the db2 instance as prescribed by the SAP Netweaver installation guide for the following command.
    n4shost:n4sadm 52> startsap db n4shost
    Checking db6 db Database
ABAP Database is not available via R3trans

  • SAP Netweaver ABAP Trial - Running but Dialog Queue standstill

    Dear all,
since today morning I am having troubles with the SAP Netweaver ABAP Trial version which has run now for over 6 months without any issues. The issues appeared suddenly and I didn't change anything to configuration / network. I am going through the forum now since a couple of hours and I have checked the following. I have read that the most common error is, that the log is full. Anyhow I have checked the log files.
1.) Logfiles: I can't see anything in the log file saying that something is wrong. Please find enclosed the log files DEV_DISP, DEV_W0 and DEV_MS:

2.) So I installed the SAP MaxDB Database Manager in order to check the logs and do an archiving. But here seems to be the issue - I can not see the NSP Database instance (see attached screenshot). But how can this be? The log file say that the db connection is ok?
3.) What is really strange to me is the Syslog in the management console --> see log3.png. Why does it say work process in reconnect status?
Does anybody have an idea how to solve this issue? Help is really appreciated and points will be rewarded.
    Best regards
    Maik

Thank you first of all for your answer.
I tried to do so, but in the MaxDB Database Manager I can add the db instance, but I am not able to connect to it (service is running).

  • Sap netweaver 7 trial  64 bit windows 7 problems with tables sflights

Hello , i succesfully installed Sap netweaver 7 trial development edition  64 bit on windows 7 long ago but since the first time
    i realized something went wrong.
Actually the system works perfectly but the usual educational tables (flights, booking etc etc) are all empty.
Is there a way i can fill them easily?
Plus the userid and password given(DDIC . BCUSER ) didn't work, i had to enter as SAP* and change the password and then to make bcuser as developer user as from the beginning it wasn't automatically set.
What i really need now is to fill the educational tables coz i can't do any test without data in them.
    Can you help pls?
    Thanks

i solved it with a sabc_data_generator program made rightly for test tables. It fills automatically all tables for test pourposes.
    I sokved it myself.

    Hi,
Please provide the full log entries of server0_out.log.
You can access UME service properties in config tool by following this path..
    Global server configuration -> services -> com.sap.security.core.ume.service
There you can set the following settings for new client 900 (it u want to change it)
    ume.r3.connection.master.client
    ume.r3.connection.master.user
    ume.r3.connection.master.passwd
Refer this [useful link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/45/1bbdccc7850064e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm] to get more detailed information. Refer [Config Tool actviities|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c0a3d713-5ab6-2c10-ddb1-e7487bc33384?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]  link To get more information.
Also, Make sure that the Users J2EE_GUEST, J2EE_ADMIN, SAPJSF ABAP Users exist in the ABAP client (i.e. client number as mentioned in ume.r3.connection.master.client ) and they are not locked. All the required roles need to be assigned properly.

1/You need to login to 001 client as SAP* password minisap

3/Then run Administration workbench of BW (RSA1) and create and assign of logical system to your client,
