Activating CS6 Offline

I have the same exact problem as Problems activating CS6 offline . Stealing the relevant info from his post:
I am trying to install CS6. I went through the offline activation process, received my Response Code, completed the activation successfully. I clicked on "Launch" and it just took me back to the activation page. I rebooted and re-installed and both gave the exact same result.
The solution was:
You need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.
Here are some links to help make contact:
http://www.adobe.com/support/chat/ivrchat.html
http://www.adobe.com/support/download-install/supportinfo/
Here lies the problem... Clicking the links direct you to Contact Customer Care and going through the support tree, the issue isn't addressed. You get to the end of the support tree and it just tells you do click the links that redirect you to the home page for support. Just like the registration problem, I am stuck in a circular loop.

Agreed. I am also going through their "customer service" loop. What a pile of garbage.

  • Problems activating CS6 offline

    Hi,
I am trying to install a number of copies of CS6.
All was going well until one laptop didn't want to play ball. I went through the offline activation process, received my Response Code, completed the activation successfully. I then clicked on "Launch" and it just took me back to the activation page. I uninstalled, re-installed using a different WIN Serial Number, and the exact same thing happened.
Any help in this matter would be great. I just hope it hasn't used up multiple licenses.
    Thanks,
    Andy

  • Activated CS6 reverting to trial problem for 2 years

I have had this issue for more than 2 years now and still I can't find a solution. Have worked with support on the phone and they were never able to help. All solutions including WMI etc. failed and I can't see where there was ever a fix. So all the money I paid for this software and I have to enter the serial number every time I use any of CS6 Design and Web Premium software. I use Photoshop continuously so most of the time I just keep it turned on. Does anyone at Adobe have a fix for this? I refuse to upgrade until this is resolved for what I have paid for. This has been played out for several months a few years ago on this thread: Activated CS6 reverting to trial. No update or fix except this idiotic fix Adobe put out: 64-bit products convert to trial on launch or prompts for activation after licensing. Please see if there is anything you can do. Looking for new software.

I have had this same problem since June with CS6 Production Premium on win7 64 bit (installed from DVD on Dell XPS15 laptop). As you state, this is a known problem. It has been with "engineering" for over a month, but that doesn't stop front-line support from having customers waste hours going through troubleshooting that won't work ; though to be fair it looks like your troubleshooting was some of the stuff they tried with me most recently and it looks like your experience of using different admin accounts etc has not long term benefit for the affected user (like my experience). haw to active cs6 and lightroom 5 from PC windows to iMac please?

Licenses in all versions prior to CC are strictly platform specific, either Mac or Windows.
A windows serial number does not work on a Mac and vice-versa., neither do the binaries themselves, of course.`
Not sure if you can still request a platform swap (also knows as a crossgrade), which requires destroying the Windows software and license.
Unfortunately, only Adobe customer service can assist you with your issue. These are user forums; you are not addressing Adobe here.
Click on the link below, and after that click on "Still need Help? Contact us."

  • CS6 Offline Activation Problems

    Hi,
Just had a frustrating sequence of events happening on a Avid editing secure network station.  I have previously installed Adobe CS6 on Windows 7, z800 workstation and activation has passed 7 days.  So I have done an offline activation, generating a response code from an internet connected terminal, and the next screen says "Successful Activation" and I click Launch.  Nothing happens.  I click on another Adobe app and the activation screen appears again, and again I do an offline activation and click launch, nothing happens.  I figured Adobe master cllection must be corrupted.  I tried using the Adobe unistaller and reinstalled the software again.  The unistaller did not remove all folders and files.  I then reinstalled the CS6 and still the same thing.
I really don't want to reimage this station so if someone has any input on this that would be great.  Are there preference files to delete?

  • Cannot find offline activation cs6 photoshop

for whatever reason the BETA photoshop cs6
cannot connect for activation, the link for OFFLINE activation
returns a 404 page not found error......
    so what gives?

afaik you have to activate the beta online... not?
that´s what i read. there is no offline activation for the beta.
    correct me if im wrong.
Adobe ID login and online activation are required either at installation or within seven days after your first launch of the Photoshop CS6 beta. The same requirements will be in place for the shipping version of Photoshop CS6 when it is released. Your Adobe ID provides multiple benefits, including an easy way to access your serial numbers, the Adobe.com community, and the upcoming Adobe Creative Cloud™ membership.

  • CS6 Offline Activation Number Entry Problems

The offline activation process is not working for me.  The following things are in my way:
    1. The codes I am supposed to enter are given in a font found nowhere else on the web page.  In particular, I am not sure I am entering O or 0 in the proper place.  The font is weird and nothing looks exactly like any other font I've ever seen. The number does not distinctly have O and 0 in it, so I cannot compare the two.
    2. There is no indication as to whether the spaces given on the web page are to be included when typing the numbers into the other device. I left them out when attempting to get the response code, so I guess they aren't necessary... but that's only a guess.  The fact that something works one way on one page is not a guarantee that it will work that way on another page.
    3. Once I get a notice that the wrong code has been entered, subsequent clicking of ENTER results in no changes on the page.  Error box does not go away or modify, no hourglass shows there has been a click, nothing.  Either I have once more put in the wrong code and the page simply remains static (a bad idea since a new process was started and there is zero indication of any key press); or the page is not working.  There is no way to tell.
Please give examples of i, I, O and 0, in the font used in the numbers.  I think I have them right but there is no way to know.
    Thank you very much.

  • CS6 Offline Activation for Cloned Clients

My job requires that we have no internet access. I currently deploy our clients using a cloning machine. I create a master image and clone to our clients with all applications installed. I would like to be able to include the activation before I clone to the clients. I watched the video for AAMES and it mentioned about a workaround for cloned clients. It also said there was a video available on the topic. Can someone point me in the right direction for this?

  • Successfully Installing & Activating CS6 (not Creative Cloud) behind an Authentication Proxy server

If you are like me and work in a fairly secure office where all Internet access is routed through an authenticate proxy server (you have to use an ID and password to get to the Internet) you might have noticed that installing CS6 products can be difficult.
The installer told me to go to http://www.adobe.com/go/getactivated for an offline activation.
It is not practical to "Disable the firewall" or"Disable the proxy" as most of us worker bees have neither the authority or ability to do such a thing.
So back to that last bit: "Disable the proxy server." Well I could not do that, but I could disable my PC's ability to connect to the proxy and therefore make it seem like I had no Internet whatsoever. And lo and behold all the right prompts appeared and offline activation sailed along smoothly!
This is a little long, but I wanted to include lots of screen shots so you'll know what to expect.
    Here's how I did it:
    1. Right-click the Internet Explorer Icon on your desktop (or select Tools > Internet Options in IE)
    2. Click Properties.
    3. Select the Connections card.
    4. Click LAN Settings.
    5. Uncheck any boxes (you might want to write down what was in the boxes or grab a screen shot as you'll have to put this back to how you found it later to restore your Internet access). Click OK and OK again. You've now shut off IE's ability to hit your proxy server and therefore the Internet.
    6. Click Install I have a serial number
    7. Accept the license agreement.
    8. Enter your license key.
    9. Click Next. At this point the installer will attempt to validate your license, but since you haven't got Internet access, it will give you an error. This is where the process broke down on me, when the installer could detect the Internet but not navigate my proxy.
    10. But, now beacuse you do not have Internet Access, you'll get this error. Click Connect Later.
    11. Select your customizations (if any) and click Install.
    12. When installation is complete, click Launch Now.
    13. You'll get an error since you don't have Internet, click "Having Trouble Connecting to the internet?"
    14. Click Offline Activation.
    15. Click Generate Request Code.
    16. Go to http://www.adobe.com/go/getactivated, sign in, put in your request code and serial number and generate the response code.*
    17. Enter the response code.
    18. Click Activate.
    19. Click Launch when you get the Offline Activation Complete dialog.
    * if you are installing more than one product, generate the response codes for each at the same time. I ran into an issue where once I created a response code, no other response codes I created for subsequent installs were accepted. I had to wait 24 hours for a newly generated code to work.
You are done! Enjoy your software!
    Cheers!
    -Greg

Just want to point out--after many hours of attempting to activate CS6 software (stumping two Adobe techs in the process)--that there is one important bit of information left out of the directions given above (and it's not in the video either):
These instructions work only if you are starting the installation from scratch.  If you (mistakenly) think that your inability to connect to Adobe's activation server is temporary and go ahead and install the software, you will not be able to get back to the screen to generate a request code (which you need to be able to activate the application).  This is in spite of Adobe's assurance to the contrary that if you don't activate during installation, you can do it later when the application starts.  If you try to activate later, you are taken to an online screen that asks for the "request code"--but you have not been given an opportunity to get that request code.
The only solution I could find:  I had to uninstall Photoshop CS6, then unplug my internet connection, then reinstall the software, watching carefully for the screen that provides the button to generate a request code.  If Adobe is going to require the activation/validation procedure, then it really needs to make it work and correct the error in the software, namely, the failure to provide for offline activation once the software has been installed.

  • Adobe Photoshop CS6 Offline Trial Installation Problems (Request Code)

I have been trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS6 Trial offline because it says "my computer isn't connected to the Internet" but i cant figure out how to generate a request code. See screen shots. These are my EXACT Steps. I don't know where to go from here. Thank You!
Step 1. I click "Sign in now"
Step 2. It loads for about 2-3 minutes
Step 3.This screen appears and I press the link that says http://www.adobe.com/go/getactivated
Step 4. This screen appears and I press "Generate a Response Code"
Step 5. This screen appears and I have no idea how to get a request code.

Please also see Sign in or activation errors | CS6, CS5.5 Subscriptions, CS6 Perpetual - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html which discusses how to resolve the difficulties you are currently experiencing.

  • Extreme difficulties in activating CS6.

I am having a very difficult time activating the CS 6 Suite that was downloaded and installed on one of our Desktop PCs.  We followed all the instruction and everything seemed to be fine for 7 days.  Then the CS 6 stopped working and asked for an activation code.  We cannot seem to get an "Activation Code". When you try to use the installed CS 6 product, you get prompted for this "Activation Code:.  When you click the link provided on the prompt message, you get an error message stating "you must request offline activation" and there is a statement there that says this computer is not online. (FYI the PC is on a US Army Network and is online.)
When you follow the instructions of an "Offline" Activation, it takes you through a never ending loop asking for a series of codes.
1st. You need to acquire a "Response Code". - gives no instructions on how to get this!
2nd.  The "Response Code", according to general instructions, will get you to a "Request Code" generation site.
3rd The "Request Code" should finally get the Activation Code, which is needed to register and activate your Adobe Product.
How am I supposed to go about getting this "Response Code"? There doesn't seem to be any method to obtain one. After that, I need instructions on getting the "Request Code" and finally the "Activation Code".  These are all required to be submitted somehow offline in order to unlock the product we have purchased.  We have been trying to do this for several weeks now and are getting no where.
Why is Adobe making it so difficult to activate a product we have paid for?  I have been in the IT world  (mostly engineering) for 15+ years and I have never seen anything like this.  Normally you buy a product, you download it, you input the activation code/key and BINGO you are up and running.  Not so with Adobe.  OR...perhaps I am doing something wrong?

Please see Sign in or activation errors | CS6, CS5.5 Subscriptions, CS6 Perpetual - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html to resolve common issues which may prevent you from activating.
