Activating GuiXt in NWBC (3.0)

Hi,
I am unable to activate GuiXt in NWBC desktop (3.0) using ALT+F12 which I am using in GRC 10.
I am able to activate in SAPGUI using ALT+F12, but if I try this in NWBC desktop nothing happens.
Also even if I activate it in SAPGUI and then load NWBC through either a desktop shortcut or transaction NWBC, the instance of NWBC is not picked up in GuiXt.
Can anyone assist with how to work with GuiXt in NWBC?
Thanks
Donald

How to display the user status below the sys status  in the Tcode IW31/ IW32
    Alagesan

    Hi Alagesan,
You can use Active GUIXT as suggested by DP Singh. This is very easy to change the positions of the fields in a Screen and Tabs.
It is available from 4.0B version itself.
It has a restriction. Once you done the required modifications in one system, you need to copy to all the systems in which you use PM Module. Also always GUIXT has to be swithched on.
Easy and no complex changes to programs.

  • Error while creating resource in SAP TM GUI and NWBC

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to create a resource in SAP TM. But getting the following error, I have activated all the relevant business functions (tcode SFW5) and also relevant services (tcode SICF) but still unable to get away with the issue. The NWBC error is not only for resource but for any master data I want to create its showing the same issue (the page is not loading and its showing a cross mark) whereas it works for other things like freight order creation etc.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Aunkur De

Can you please check whether all the business functions are active?
    Transaction: SFW5
    Note:
All the required business functions for SAP TM are provided in SAP document.

  • Error when starting WD-Application without active scripting

    Hello together,
at the moment I am writing a thesis about web dynpro and time is nearly gone...
    In the article:
The Basic Facts About Web Dynpro - What Does It Do and How Does It Work?
    by Dr. Peter Tillert,
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/91b8c890-0201-0010-c787-be96f6fade89
    I´ve read about server-side rendering and  client-side rendering ( text under figure 6 ).
Now I´ve got the following problem:
Usually I use IE7 for testing my WD-Applications with enabled active scripting.
Now I thought I disable active scripting on my client in order to test server-side rendering
    of plain html...
I only get the error: WebDynpro Exception: Client Does Not Support JavaScript
What´s wrong? I expected an other result... Thought WD is sooo flexible ???
    Many greetings,
    Oliver

The article that you have chosen is rather old and represented some of the design goals of Web Dynpro back in 2004 before the project was completed.  I see other items in the article (like the Dynpro/Web Dynpro integration for ABAP) that were dropped before the final release of the product as well.
I believe that quote you focused in on was:
"While smart browsers (Internet Explorer as of version 5.5 and Netscape Navigator as of version 7.0) can run our client-side JavaScript, future versions of the Web Dynpro runtime will send server-side generated HTML without any scripting to every other browser."
What you need to understand is that the idea of having a clear separation between the CSF and the SSF was an original design aspect of Web Dynpro that was elimated before the final product was delivered to market.  Part of the reasoning is that mainstream browser usage advanced to the point where the need to support non-JavaScript browsers was largely a moot point by the time Web Dynpro was released.  Therefore producing a rendering engine that has no scripting no longer had much value.  So deactiving scripting support in Web Dynpro today, does result in the error message that you received by design.  You can always check the latest supported browser versions for Web Dynpro by viewing the Platform Availability Matrix on the Service Marketplace.
Using certain Application and URL parameters there certain features of the client side scritping that can be turned off:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/7b/fb57412df8091de10000000a155106/frameset.htm
For instance you can deactivate the Delta Rendering (DOM Infusion of UI elements).
Web Dynpro rendering is still abstracted and very flexible.  Today we focus this multi-client rendering approach on vastly different rendering technologies.  We can output to the HTML with JavaScript and AJAX, to Adobe Flex and to the NetWeaver Business Client (.Net 3.0 runtime). Here are some screenshots that show the same WD application running in these three very different environments.

  • Error on Analysis tab in GRC 10 on NWBC

    Hi All,
I am really new to the SAP environment and have been configuring it to run GRC, I have completed all the post installation tasks. So far I can log onto the system through NWBC and capture my Risks. However when I click on the analysis tab and select create analysis, it brings up the "create new analysis", and I leave the date valid default and click OK I get an error "Error when creating the case; check the Customizing activity". I have seached the forum for this error but nothing available. Any help will be appreciated.

  • Tab - 'Activities' in Create Notification missing in NWBC for HTML.

    Dear Members,
    Greetings for the day!
I am working with NWBC for HTML as a part of EAM implementation in my project.
When I am trying to create a notification in SAP GUI via the transaction - IW21, I am able to see a tab namely - "Activities".
But this same tab is not available when I am trying to create a notification using NWBC for HTML in the same SAP system.
Please refer the enclosed screen document in which I have highlighted the issue.
Could anyone please suggest me if any business function needs to be activated for making this tab available in NWBC HTML also?
Else do I need to raise an OSS message to SAP for any note implementations or is there a need to develop / configure this tab in Webdynpro ABAP / Floor Plan Manager framework?
    I humbly request your response.
    Warm regards,

  • Error - Logon not possible; none of the active logon procedures is possible

    Dear Gurus,
I'm trying to configure SSL with User mapping to SICF service: NWBC.
-SSL configured with STRUST transaction and I see that it is working via Internet Explorer
-SICF service NWBC was set to: "Required with Client Certificate (SSL)"
-User mapping was set like described in this article: https://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/17/1514e9b7eb4f74b0b49327b8f2a662/frameset.htm
    But I get error:
Logon not possible; none of the active logon procedures is possible
    Any idea ?
    Please advise,
    Dimitry Haritonov

    Hi,
I would try to check logs first. In transaction SMICM you can set up level of logging for ICF services. So set it up to the highest possible level (this one actually dumps whole content of HTTP request, so maybe that's not necessary) and try logon again. You should get a reasonable info and you can try to figure out why it fails.
    Cheers

  • NWBC problem with document approval

    Hi all gurus,
we're facing a strange behaviour on an SRM 7 system; when an approver selects a workitem from NWBC, buttons on top (like Approve, in example) are disabled and in the message notification area a problem "No default action found for task TS40007980" arise.
    Messages are properly:
"No default action found for task TS40007980 " for Contracts, and
"No default action found for task TS40007974" for Purchase Orders.
This happens only when we work under the Netweaver Business Client. When the same operations are done from Portal, no message occours and buttons are correctly enabled.
We tried to search for specific notes or threads in the forum but without success.
Can anyone give us an hint/suggestion on how to solve it?
    Thanks!

Sorry but I'm really a newbie on the argument, please let me know eventually how to provide additional informations you asked for... We're running SRM Server 7.0 and we use the NWBC transaction in it  to provide a Portal-indipendent access to SRM via browser.

  • Recording NWBC scripts for End User Experience

    Hi Experts,
I am recording NWBC scripts using the Netweaver Business Client GUI for loading and running it through Robots for End User Experience Monitoring. I don't see an option to "LogOff" in NWBC client while recording  the script. We only have option to "Close all session and LogOff" in NWBC client .
When I am using this option, it closes all the sessions including the EEM Recorder also without saving the recording .
I need to include "LogOff" as the last step so that it doesn't leave any active sessions for each run by different robots.
    I have a Solution Manager 7.1 SP10 and NWBC client 3.5 Patch 13.
    Please help me achieve this.
    Regards,
    Manish K

    Hi,
for a browser the recommendation is to open a new, empty tab to keep the browser alive while closing the tab with the  session. All that with the hope that the backend will use the triggered event of collapsing tab to close session.
Maybe a similar strategy works for NWBC.. but I don't know the UI in detail.

  • SAP ERP EHP 5 - Activating Embeded Analytics (dashboards)

    Hi
We (the basis team+BI team) have been trying to activate the dashboards that apparently come embedded in SAP ERP EHP 5.  To test the functionality, we were hoping to demo the Cash Management Dashboards.  Unfortunately non of the Dashboards are even listed on the NWBC (role cash management) after activation.  We have activated the Reporting Financials 3 and 2. And have activated the Dashboard in RSOR in our ERP system. We also ran the BI Content Activation (workbench). We have replicated all Source Systems.
We feel we are maybe missing something. Could someone please share some light with regards to the following understanding:
    1. We only need the ERP EHP 5 ABAP system (with BI content and BI Content Extension)
    2. No Portal or any java instances (with BI Java Components) is required
    3. A simple role (which one) should be enough to show the dashboards
    4. We are using Scenario 2 for dashboards (i..e we are not planning to create our own therefore do not need Xcelsius Designer)
    Your response will highly appreciated
    kind regards
    Ronny

For those struggling with the same, here's what I've found (and got to work) so far:
    1. BI Java is required (install the latest) .  So does the portal for Runtime environment for your dashboards
    2. Define the BI (Abap AS) system on the portal
    3. Run the BI Daignostic/service Desk tool to resolve any issues (e.g. Flash error - unable to access external data) Specifically the URL:
    http://<Host name >:<port numebr>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.ip.bi.supportdesk.default
    4. Take a look at this document (regarding setting up BEX WEB configuration)
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/00c4742a-3a4b-2b10-b4ae-b03d08bcde6e?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true&48558900359425
    5. Create a Role to access the reports from NWBC (transaction PFCG)
    6. If its CRM, make sure CRM interactive reporting is configured fully before you even begin trying to run any of the dashboards
    I hope this helps

  • NWBC problem displaying SAP ABAP transactions

    Hi,
I was trying to configure NWBC and I was able to connect to the system and see the transaction available on the role assigned to the user, under that role I assigned SAP standard transactions, BSP applications, WebDynpro applications and Web pages (URL's). I can execute all except the SAP standard transaction that uses the Windows SAPGUI, basically the transaction is never displayed and I only see the "Webdynpro loading icon" I do not see any session created on the backend by the user using the NWBC and I also do not see any instance of the SAPGUI created on local PC where I am testing the NWBC.
We tested in two computers one using SAPGUI 7.0 patch 3 and the other patch 2, the scripting is enable on the sapgui with the other two options (Notify when a script attaches.... and Notify When a script Opens...) set in both, I also know that the parameter sapgui/user_scripting is set to TRUE and sapgui/user_scripting_set_readonly and sapgui/user_scripting_disable_recording as well. Parameter CONDENSE_MENU is set to NO and ADD_MENU_DETAILS is set to YES.
As I mentioned before, we can see the menu, subfolders and transaction assigned to subfoldes, everything that is related with Web like BSP, webdynpro or regular HTML is displayed but the problem is with transaction that requires Windows SAP GUI.
On the NWBC log I could not find too much only the following entry:
    24.08.2007 13:20:16
    INFO <NWBC::CSessionContext> | setDirty(sessionID 0000000005, connectionName WDA Testsuite)

  • NWBC Roles

    Hi Experts,
First of all I am functional consultant and need help in identifying the roles for NWBC 3. I am planning to use the new functionality in EHP4 called Reporting Financials 2 (see link below). It uses something called "Report Launchpad', do you know which roles in NWBC would call this report lauchpad? And one of the prequisites says "You have activated the BI Content of InfoArea Reporting Financials (EHP4)", could you please provide some information or guide me on how to do this.
And also are there any places where i can find NWBC roles pertaining to FICO and FSCM?

    Hi,
Try this hope this will help you..
Go to the T.code RSA1 then select BI Content..
Search " InfoArea for Financial Management and Controlling "
see the InfoProviders :  Reporting Financials
Collect these objects and then activate them.

  • NWBC not getting SAPRouter info from SAPGUI

    Hi Gurus,
I need to connect through a SAPRouter to access our ECC6 systems within NWBC 3.5. I know that if you match the Logon Description fields within NWBC and SAPGUI, NWBC is supposed to use that string to connect. In our implementation, it is not functional.
NWBC and SAPGUI were installed long ago, separately.
Is there any config that is required to show NWBC where to look for these Router strings? Ini files that must be created and configured? I have not been able to find any information in this regard.
    Thanks for your assistance.

    Steve
The next step ...try verifying whether NWBC is activated and also get the correct URL ....
From your sapgui, run Tcode NWBC (this launch the NWBC for HTML).
If NWBC is activated correctly, you should get an IE browser launch showing you the NWBC cockpit.  Compare the server & port address (i.e. https://xxx.yyy.com:9999/nwbc)  on the IE browser vs the one that you have for NWBC for Desktop setup. They should match up ...
