Activating Message Overview Message Monitoring

Hello,
We recently moved our XI system (3.0) towards SP21. Now we want to activate new way of message monitoring using the message overview. As stated in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/80243b4a66ae0ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm
note 1031773 describes how to activate the message status overview. However when i search for that note. The note is not (anymore) available.
An SAP note with the number requested could not be found.
Somebody a clue where the note has gone? Or can somebody tell me what are the steps to take to activate message-overview monitoring?

Hi,
It is better to raise a new OSS. Sometimes, with a new solution or incorrect solution , some of the OSS notes actually gets cleaned up or deleted.

i added an alert activity in my OSB proj message flow to monitor the process . after deploying the proj in console, i gave inputs. but i am not able to see the alert in operations>dashboard>pipeline alerts . no alert has been written in dashboard.

Did you enable Pipeline Alerts in the Operational Settings tab of the Proxy? If yes, also select the appropriate level based on the Alert level you had set within the message flow.
Also check the in the SB Console > Operations > Global Settings , that the Enable Pipeline Alerting is selected.

Try to trace at ICM level, Go to smicm transaction
Set level to 3.
Later send your request. Finally trace the request in:
When you have seen the log, check if any exception is raised with your request or the request and share it here.

i cannot see my adapter engine messages in message monitoring for my http to RFC syncronous scnenario.
i can however see the integration engine messages and can also see the receiver RFC channel in communication channel monitoring

Audit log missing in message in Message Monitor

Hi,
I am facing a weird problem.
I found this in one of my scenario where we are using AS2 adapter and its an IDoc to file scenario.
When I go to details of messages in message monitor in RWB,sometimes the Audit log is empty.
It is happening randomly and not specific to any scenario as later on I found the same problem in some messages from other scenarios too.
I have never faced this problem till now and it was working fine before.
Can anyone please let me know what could be the reason for this as this is difficult for me in case I need to analyse a message and there is no audit log.

Put Message in the Monitor

I am trying to write a message to the monitor from the start routine of my update rules. I am using the below code:
      MONITOR-MSGID = 'RSM1'.
      MONITOR-MSGTY = 'I'.
      MONITOR-MSGNO = 799.
      MONITOR-MSGV1 = 'Load Error: '.
      MONITOR-MSGV2 = 'No Material for Specification: '.
      MONITOR-MSGV3 = wa_dp-ehs_spec.
      append MONITOR.
However, the only message that shows up in the monitor is "***** Scheduler". I do not get the error message text that I specify to show up in the monitor. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Depending on the BW version and the supportpackage level, an error can occur when the monitor functions are used. This is described in SAP Note 886222 Note 859813 - MSGNO is not displayed in monitor.
The monitor entries are filled with the custom messages in the start routine but the values in MSGNO and MSGV1 of the message are not passed to the monitor and are not displayed. This note corrects a problem that was introduced with note 859813.
If the BW system is on the support package level described below, the problem can occur.

No active correlations for message

Hi,
I am working on a BPM scenario. I Receive 3 different messages which I merge later in the process. I can see that the first received message is processed but the following messages get stuck in the inbound queue with a error message "permanent error in BPM" or something like that. Also I saw an error message which says "No active correlations for message".
My BPM steps seem alright. I activated the correlation in the send step and used it in the receive step. Also defined it in the block as Local Correlation.
sxi_cache status is "0". no problem there.
Do you have any idea what the problem is?
By the way after i tried it a number of times the inbound error throw another error.

Hi Arman,
First of all,
Run SWWL transaction in order to delete all the Work items involved with you Integration Process.
Then,
Check your correlation.
If you recieve 3 different messages and you dont know the order they came, the correlation should be
activated with the first message (first reciver step). But in the other two message you need to indicate which correlation must be used. I think you should use a fork with three receiver steps and in these
reciever steps you need to activate you correlation and use the correlation.

I am having the same problem, and my computer is authorized through my Adobe ID and I cannot open any books. I tried downloading a book from the university library, using my ID, the book is in ACSM format, and I cannot open the book because it keeps telling me

Dear All,
I am facing a very serious problem that in the message overview or SAP Attributes tab of any message posted are coming blank for me.
If the ticket is posted from satellite the values are filled but
if the ticket is posted within solution manager by any way......the values of these two tabs is blank.

     We had the same issue. And I had ping pong too.. Finally we resolved problem.
     Solution for this is, when assigning ticket to SAP, as mentioned in the document, select "info to sap" and type some info there and assign to SAP by clicking "Actions" with "engine icon" and then ticket will be assigned to SAP, message will be transfered and you will get the message number etc in "SAP attributes".
   If this is not the issue.. pls ignore..

Customers can subsequently enhance structures and tables, defined by SAP in the ABAP Dictionary, as follows: Customizing Includes
Customizing Includes:
Specified parts of a structure or table are already reserved for enhancements. The customer then creates the appropriate includes.
Appends:
The customer appends fields to the end of the structure or the table without any prior reservation having been made.
Enhancements of this kind affect not only the structures and tables themselves but also all dependent structures that take the enhancement as an include or substructure. For example, if an enhancement using an Append takes effect only at the end of the initial structure, it will affect all the dependent structures.
2. Problems with structure enhancements
In programs without an active Unicode check, structure enhancements can cause significant problems with type checks or if used in connection with deep structures, leading both to syntax and runtime errors. In programs with an active Unicode check, assignments, operand checks, and accesses using offset and length are also affected and problems can arise For example, if a purely character-type structure is enhanced by inserting numeric or deep components, it can lose its character-type nature. Enhancements cause further problems because they can change the fragment view and hence affect the checks (based on the fragment view) for assignments and comparisons.
3. Classifying enhancements in the ABAP Dictionary
So that the effects of structure enhancements are visible, you can classify structures and tables in the Dictionary under Extras ® Enhancement Category as follows:

Structure enhancements in the Dictionary can also affect internal structures in ABAP programs if Dictionary structures are used as an include or substructure in the source code. These dependencies are implicitly taken into account in the ABAP program check. This also includes non-classified structures containing includes or substructures that can be enhanced.
4. Enhancement handling in the program check
The ABAP program check uses the structure enhancement classification in the Dictionary to indicate all points in the source code that can lead to problems in connection with structure enhancements. The warnings are separated into three classes, depending on the effects of the permissible structure enhancements

All structure enhancement checks are only effective in programs with an active Unicode check. Only static checks are carried out and no checks at runtime. The check also includes non-classified structures and tables, as long as the initial structure contains includes or substructures that can be enhanced.
