Activating MS Office on windows 8.1

Hi!Bought HP laptop about a month ago. It has pre-installed office in it(dono which version, guess its-office 365). But when I try to open, it asks me to enter the product activation key. Where do I find the product activation key?Thanks in advance..

HI, The Pre-Installed Microsoft office installed in the unit is a Trial Version. If you have paid for the full version only then it will be pre-installed otherwise you have to purchase the full version.

This what my IT replied with:
That teh MacBook cannot connect with RWW because it requires Active-X to connect. That MAc browsers (Safari) do not use Active-X but only Windows (IE) uses Active-X control.
It would seem to me that there must be a way around this. Any help?

when try to install the 'Office 365 PowerShell Module' shows a msg saying that 'windows azure active directory module for windows powershell is not supported by your version'.
And according to the blog (http://blogs.office.com/2014/04/15/synchronizing-your-directory-with-office-365-is-easy/) "DirSync can be
installed on an existing domain controller"

Installing Microsoft Office on Windows Server 2008 R2

Can I install Microsoft Office on Windows Server 2008 R2?
I'm not trying to use this installation from client machines, I just want to use this installation from the same machine.
It's a Home LAN, I need to develop some applications, but basically, the server should be used as any other machine by any member of the family.
Each machine will have it's own suite of Office Applications. It's just 3 machines

Office for Mac and Office for Windows XP compatibility issues?

Trying to convince a family member to make the Mac switch. She uses Office for Windows XP at work but might use Office for Mac at home. Will there be an compatibiity issues with the programs? She is a heavy Excel user and takes a lot of work home. If she has to rearrange cells and fonts and such each and every, it would drive her (and the rest of us) insane.
Any advice would be most welcome.
She is looking into either a Macbook Air or Macbook Pro. Putting Windows on the Mac is not really an option for us.

Remote Desktop Service activation of Office Pro Plus 2013

The Activation of Office Pro Plus 2013 is not "sticking" in a 2008 R2 RDP Session. Office Pro Plus 2013 is installed on the RDS Host. Users authorized to access via their Office 365 Pro Plus Subscriptions.
Office Pro+ 2013 is installed and activated with appropriate MAK. Every few days or so a handful of RDS users are requested to activate the Office they are using during their sessions.
Any guidance would be phenomenal!

Which Office for mac is equal to Office for Windows?

There are 2 Office Editions. Office Mac for Home and Students AND Office mac for Home and Business. Which one is Similiar to Office Windows without missing anything ?.

I meant, if u have used Office for Windows, you know it's complete, it has word, excel powerpoint, outlook etc
Then Office Student does not have same Tools (all the tool bar etc etc) in Word, Excel etc. as Office Windows??.

I've installed and activated icloud on my Windows PC. I want to use icloud drive. The instructions said to signin to icloud and choose pages, numbers, or keynote and then when asked to upgrade to icloud drive to do so. I selected numbers and created a spreadsheet, thinking I would be asked somewhere along the way to upgrade. I was never invited to upgrade, so I closed icloud, reopened it. I tried to signin and it said the id was valid but it isn't an icloud account.
I have no apple device. The instructions said that I could still signup for icloud but that I would only be able to use "web-based" services. I must be missing something.

As with a lot of software, it depends on the version of Word, and what features the author used.
Technically, Office 2010 for Windows and 2011 for Mac are supposed to be feature compatible. As are Office 2007 for Windows, and 2008 for Mac.
However, if a person using Office 2010 / 2011 used a feature that only exists in that version and sends the file to someone using Office 2007 / 2008, they would very likely have trouble opening the file, or having it display as intended.
