Activating Office 365 on Stream 8

Hi
I have bought an Tablet Stream 8 which seems to be a pretty good product. I bought it directly from HP and there was no product key for Office 365 included. I have tried to activate but end up in the question Office Product key the whole time.

Dear Aka57 -
To activate Office 365 on Stream 8 you do not need a product key. Instead you need to sign in with your Microsoft credentials (password and login for Microsoft account).
1. Before you attempt activation, make sure that Windows 8.1 has been installed, and you are connected to the Internet.
2. Click the Office icon on the Start screen. A dialog box opens, Click Activate.
3. Enter your Microsoft account login and password when prompted.
Note: If you do not have a Microsoft account, close the Office 365 activation window and use your browser to go to Microsoft - Create an account. Once you have created, and then verified the account via email, begin the activation process again, using the steps in this post.
4. When you have entered your login and password, click Sign in.
5. Enter your Country and Language, then click Continue. A new dialog box opens.
6. Click Install. Then click Run.
7. If a dialog box appears that asks you "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?" click Yes.
8. Once the installation is complete, an Office dialog box opens, Click Next, and then follow the remaining on-screen instructions.
You should be ready to go with Office 365.

Sorry, but that one doesn't sound like something for "users helping other users" -- unless someone smarter comes along here ... :-) ... I would advise going to Apple Support to have it taken care of ... or to your local Apple Store, over to the Genius Bar.

How to determine who has activated Office 365 ProPlus?

Is there a way to see who a copy of Office 365 ProPlus has been activated by, without logging into the user's Office 365 portal? Does this get tracked in some report, or some registry key? Thanks.

Report all activations of Office 365 ProPlus for all users

Hello:
I know that I can open my Office 365 Settings, Software, and see how many devices I have activated Office 365 Pro-plus on.
What I am looking for is a way for an Admin to run a Powershell script (or command) to retrieve the activations for ALL users in a tenant.

As far as I know, this is not possible. We can use Get-msoluser command to get the license status. But we can’t get details of all users’ activated computer name list for the Office 365 tenant with a Powershell script.
By the way, this forum focuses on questions and feedback for Microsoft Office Client. There is not so much about Office 365
console/hosted/cloud aspects here. For your case, I would suggest you to post in the forum of Office 365 Community, where you can get more experienced responses:

Ip or host name of monthly activation servers for Office 365

Hello ,
i need to know a method to activate office 365 for 4 of my company computers that are banned from internet connection .
One of the option that i may accept is tho manual specify the ip addresses or the servers name where Office is going to activate .

Could you tell me what version of Office 365 are you using? If you have product key to activate it. Or you can activate Office 365 on phone, choose the telephone option in the Activation Wizard to get the phone number to contact in
your country.

Office 365 with Shared Computer Activation (on RDS 2012)

Hi,
I have installed Office 365 (shared activation method) on RDS 2012.
This works fine, users can activate using their Office 365 account and the entire Office suite appears activated.
The issue is that the users intermittently (random intervals) have to re-enter their details and reactivate.
Under what circumstances should the users have to reactivate, sometimes I can logon and activate and the next logon I have to do it again. Other times it can last for days..

If you have ADFS or DirSync to your O365 tenant, most likely you wouldn't see this happening, it would all hookup seamlessly (a lot like KMS just does...)

Project Pro for Office 365 and residual traces

Hello,
I expect to use Project Pro for Office 365 (the streaming version).
What are the residual traces of files that this software may leave on the local HDD ?

If I understand well, Project Pro for Office 365 (the streaming version) doesn't install itself locally, so we can use it on any computer. I'm wondering if it doesn't leave some dll or Global.MPT on the HDD after we quit Project.

Similarly, I do have active Office 365 with the 60 minutes (as it shows on my profile page) and I do have the latest windows softwares. Yet, when I try calling it tells me I do not have an active subscription.
Any thoughts on what I may do?

I purchased a product from Microsoft and i was given free 60 minutes of skype credit to call which is already active but i really dont know how to use it because whenever i dial a number it kept telling me i dont have credit.

Use Powershell to bulk activate office 365 Education E1 Students license for 900 synced users

We have synced 900 users and we need to active "Office 365 Education E1 for Students" (STANDARDWOFFPACK_STUDENT) license for them using the powershell.
With the following command I am able to activate one user at a time; Is there anyway to do it to bulk users ?
Set-MsolUserLicense -UserPrincipalName [email protected] -AddLicenses "teamxxx:STANDARDWOFFPACK_STUDENT"
And also with the "Office 365 Education E1 for Students" activation I only want "Office Online for Education" to be activated but not "Lync Online", "Sharepoint" and "Exchange Online".
Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

You have to get instructions from them on which keys are to be activated. YOuo need to activate each product. YOu are only activating the base product. Lync and Visio are optional licenses. It is not a PowerShell issue;
Notice this parmeters is plural for a reason:
-AddLicenses
"teamxxx:STANDARDWOFFPACK_STUDENT"
You can put an array of licenses. STANDARD is just the base office product. Ask themfor the license strings for the other or look at them online.

Exchange is part of Office365. I don't see how you can not have it. Youc can control which products are downloadable.

HP Stream 7 office 365 activation Windows 10

I bought the tablet with a year subscription for office 365 and i didn't activate it because is available until 5 october 2015. After i updated to windows 10 that activation app have just a trial for 1 month. what can i do for activate 1 year subscription?

Just a suggestion but have a look in the windows start menu for the Microsoft office 2013 shorcut if that doesnt work see if the Windows. old folder has the Office folder still intact

I am setting up my Stream 7 today but there is no indication of where I find the 25 digit Activation Key for my free 1 year subscription of Office 365.

I understand you're looking for information on activating your free 1 year subscription to Office 365 Personal.
Product activation is not handled by forum users, but to the best of my knowledge you should not need a registration key to activate the software. There should be an activation available once you launch the Office 365 software on the computer that prompts you to register and activate the software.
If it is asking for a key for the 1 year subscription check the packaging for a registration card that may include a key. If you do not find this please contact HP Phone Support. Stream 8 Tablet's free one year Office 365 Personal and One Drive extra spaces

1. How to enable the free one year Office 365 Personal subscription? I can only active the trial one month Office 365 Personal subscription.
2. How to active the additional storage space for One Drive with the purchase of the Stream 8 Tablet?

I called HP local support here in Hong Kong January 2, 2015 around 11:00am, after checked with my settings the HP support person promised to email me the solution/fix.
I have yet receive any such respond from HP support.
I have online chat with Microsoft Office online support, they inform me that the activation key should included in the box of the Stream 8 Tablet.
Mind you that it is against Hong Kong law "The Trade Descriptions Ordinance, Chapter 362" for 'Misleading Advertising'.

How do I access or download my free one year subscription to MS Office 365 Online, having purchased an HP Stream 7 Signature Edition this week? I can find no instructions anywhere from Microsoft! You would think they would make it obvious how to do it.
