Activating Photoshop CS2?

Help: I have CS2 and Photoshop is giving me an error message that I have to get a new authorization because it detected changes to my computer (running windows 7) the options given to get authorization are no longer valid (tried two phone numbers and also on-line activation) Looks like it was working for 30 days after Dec 1. But I have not needed to use Photoshop until now so I was unaware that there was any time sensitive issue.

  • Clé Activation Photoshop CS2 sous windows 8

    Bonjour

Non, tu n'as pas bien compris.

  • Problem in activating Photoshop cs2

Hi; I've seen the other answers to this problem, and Adobe's solution (download a special version of cs2), but, there is (no longer?) a download feature for this version. Not that I can find anywhere. And Adobe points me to ask on the forum, but I would have thought it's directly an Adobe issue? Anyway, if anyone can help, I'd be much obliged.

John, I'm kindof speechless... I have a reply in no time at all, and it's actually solved the problem!
Yes, I tried the link, and thanks, the download page worked fine, I've downloaded the file, thanks very much, I have enough hassles with computers & Microsoft and a few others, there are times I spend more time in a week than actual work.
I don't know how one would find the download page you showed me, it didn't come up in the instructions laid out by Adobe - no matter, I just need the file.
Maybe I'll now try with a Microsoft forum and see if I can find a solution to them dropping support for Windows XP - I have at least 3 XP computers using XP software that would cost me thousands to upgrade, and I'm perfectly happy with XP.
You've helped me a lot, thank you kindly!

  • I am reloading Photoshop CS2 and I can't get it activated. How is this to be done?

I am reloading Photoshop CS2 and I can't get it activated. How is this to be done?

The activation servers are retired and so your old CS2 copy and serial number no longer work.
Adobe has non-activated Photoshop CS2 and a new serial number to go with it only for CS-CS2 owners.

A 19 GB drive should be fine as long as it is a standard hard drive. (One that has physical disk platters inside of it)
A solid state drive is similar to a flash drive in that the inside are electronic only, there are no disk platters inside of it. This type of drive is quite new to the market and is much faster that the older hard drives.

  • Photoshop CS2 activation issues

I recently had to purchase a new hard drive for my computer and had to reinstall my copy of Photoshop CS2.  It will not activate or allow me to use it.  The Adobe website shows the product is registered to me...so I see no reason for all this trouble.  I have spend hours trying to reinstall from the original CD as well as trying from the Adobe website.  I am currently one frustrated person who is VERY upset with Adobe at this point.  If this is their way of telling me to buy a newer version of their product - it will NEVER happen.
Any usable input would be greatly appreciated.  This is certainly holding up my photo work.  Thank you in advance!!

The activation servers for all CS2 applications are gone now, but Adobe has made activation free versions of the CS2 apps available here, http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.htm l.

  • Trying to nstall Photoshop CS2 on a new PC with Windows 8.1? Adobe uploaded me a version that doesn't require activation, but it doesn't work!

Trying to Install Photoshop CS2, which I bought several years ago, on a new computer with Windows 8.1? Adobe uploaded me a version that it says doesn't require activation, but it doesn't work!

Your advice to use the serial number provided by Adobe is right on point.
The only thing special I've done that's not typical is that I have UAC disabled, which does serve to make a system more compatible with older software (and with old geeks like me who prefer to be full-time admins).
When I installed Photoshop CS2, it just went in and worked.  I didn't think twice about it.

  • Photoshop CS2 un-installed and re-installed without de-activavtion. Activation window refuses to procede.

? Photoshop CS2 on Windows Vista. On start-up PS refuses access. Decided to un-install and re-install, unfortunately not thinking of de-activation. Now, on start-up, window offers registration which always fails. I am not offered help>de-activation, or help>transfer activation. Help>Adobe Forum!

Did you use the right serial number? The windows download is 348MB the Mac download is 441MB If your was 380MB there may be a problem with what you downloaded... If you can not get it to install you may have to contact Adobe customer Support. However CS2 is no longer suppoorted.

  • Same Photoshop CS2 activation issue with new installer also.

Dear Adobe support team, we have downloaded the Photoshop cs2 from the link http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html. As per your suggestion I un-installed the older version and installed new version and tried to activate the product. But I have failed to activate as per your instruction. I want to get rid of activation message. Kindly also let us know what all do we have to un-install before the fresh installation.

    Thanks for your support.
We are able to active CS2 in administration login. Now there is no activation message.
Now there is a different message window popping up. Every time I launch Photoshop CS2, the adobe updater message is popping up. I am not able to take screen shot of the window. We tried deactivating this in msconfig options but no success.

  • Photoshop cs2 activation

it seems that adobe wants people to by there over priced products at every upgrade. because i was unable to deactivate my pscs2 be for doing a system restore ia'm now unable to reactivate the program. i successfuly transfered the software from a win xp computer to a win 7 computer and had it work great for six years, adobe tech support claims if will only work on win xp & vista. anyone out there now of a solution?

Adobe decommissioned the CS2 activation server but provided a free solution:
You have to download a special version of CS2 that does not require activation but needs the new serial number they also provide.
Google "download adobe Photoshop CS2"  if the following link doesn't give you access immediately:

  • Photoshop CS2 Activation Problem

    Hello
I'm trying to install Photoshop CS2 for a client, but when I launch the application I get the error: "An error has been detected and activation cannot continue. Please restart your computer and reinstall the application"
I've already done the obvious thing to reboot and re-install the application with the same error. I tried deleting temporary files to no avail. Is there any other solution I should try before I re-image the machine?
I've uploaded a screen shot of the error here: http://tinyurl.com/6rew36
    Thanks!

    Hi,
I'm getting this same error message "An error has been detected with a required application library ...". I have used my CS2 for the last 3 years with no issues. I've un-installed and re-installed 4 times to no avail. Is there really no fix? That seems pretty incredible that no one has found a solution.
Anybody been able to resolve? Is it as simple as disabling the firewall & antivirus?
    Thanks for the help,
    Wes.
