Activating the transport workflow...

Hi,
We want to automate the import of requests in our production system, so we plan to activate the workflow in TMS. After an approval procedure requests will be imported automatically in our landscape. We're running a SAP landscape with 3 systems: DEV (development) -> TST (test/QA) -> PRD (Production). We're using an approval procedure in TST, the QA list. We don't want developers to import requests directly in PRD.
Questions that appear:
- I'm only interested in control the transport in the production system, not in the test system. Is it possible to configure the environment where the transport from DEV -> TST continues as usual ( default values ) and E30/TST -> PRD with the workflow.
- Is it possible to schedule any job to import approved requests only at concrete times ?
Any other feedback ?

Check this if you can reset the workflow if the configuration of old user get damaged instead of creating a new one.

Activating the standard transport system in BI Dev system.

Hello All,
We have a debate going on like whether we need to activate the standard transport system or not in BW Development.
Our user is asking to enable some functionality from a Web Template using the
Save As command. This command enables a user to slice a report and
then save this view as a Portal Favorite. This functionality appears to be
blocked when the transport system is active(Switched on) but he is able to save it when transport system is switched off.
I know that it has to be switched on in order to collect the changes in transport requests in Dev other wise will be collected as Local obects in $TMP.
Also let me know the pros and crons of activating the transport system.
Appreciate if you could throw some light on this and solution to the above problem.

Hi,
It's mentioned the activity of saving BI Query is carried out in Portal, so am assuming you might be using a BEx Web application for this.
If yes, then would suggest you to try once after switching off the standard transport. And instead use BEx transports in Admin workbench.
My understanding can be completely wrong, in which case request you to provide more details on the environment and the steps done.

Request owner approval in Transport Workflow (DEV to QTY)

Hello,
I have set up the transport workflow between DEV and QTY systems on ERP6.
I need to allow developers and consultants to approve their own transport proposals in order to facilitate transport to the QTY system.
Currently, when an user releases a transport request and creates a transport proposal, the approval message is sent to the TMS Worklist.
Therefore, only administrators can approve transport proposals.
How to allow users to approve and import their own requests through the Transport Proposal Inbox in Transport Organizer (SE10) ?

Delete the standard workflow version .

Hi Experts,
How can we delete the workflow versions created after activating the standard workflow .
Or you can say how can we bring it to the same state as if should be in the fresh R/3 system .

Activation of standars workflow for Non PO based Invoices

Please advise me with the following at earliest.
I have activated the standard workflow for the transaction FV60, so that the work item will be generated in the approver inbox for the release amount. I have done the settings, but iam stuck up at the transaction OBWF, it says to assign the users to the position or the organizational unit. I have created the Posistion in transaction code PO13 (Posistion in Business work flow), could you please let me know how to assign users to this position.

For setting the organization object for each level using OBWF transaction, you have to select the entry in transaction OBWF (in which the WF Variant + Approval Path + Level+Amount will decide which agent to pick) and choose button "Details (OrgObject)".
Then in new window
1. choose button "Org object" of create (2nd button on tool bar) if already the org object is created and you just want to link. Then select JOB/Position/Organizational unit for which you want a linking. Then choose the org element by using the Search Term window. This will create the link for the level for which you wanted the user/user-group.
2. Choose button "Create org. unit" to create new org unit like Job or Position and then complete linking as specified in point -1.
You can test this by executing the function moudule "PRELIMINARY_POSTING_ACTOR1_DET" which is in the standard agent rule '00000139' which is linked to the standard task TS00007914.

Hello,
each satellitesystem has his own domain controller.
The Solman is connected via domain link with these domain controller of each satellitesystem.
You can create this Links in two Steps:
1.     - Logon in Solman system where the domain controller is located
         - Tcode: STMS→Overview→Systems
         - Mark the satellitesystem where the domain controller is located
         - SAP System→Create→Domain Link execute
Now you only create the request for an domain link!
2.     - Logon in satellitesystem where the domain controller is located
         - Tcode: STMS→Overview→Systems
         - Mark the satellitesystem where the domain controller is located
         - There must be an option to answer the request from the Solman
You can check the domain link in Solman when you click in STMS on the button Legend.
The Typ Other Domain Controller has a special symbol.
You get detailed informations about domain link in the SAP Library SAP Solution Manager.

The transport workflow is realized in Solman with CRM and Solman actions.
Example:
If the status of service order SDHF (urgent correction) is changed from "In development" in status "To be tested".
there is an automatic transport into QAS system. Please be sure that you have realized the transport task, before.
You can create also a backround job for each system/mandant (except the productive system) for automatic import of all realized transport requests. We planed these backround jobs in all of our satellitesystems (except the productive system) every 10 minutes.
For you productive system you should start the backround job (Import Transport Request (Background) from the maintenance cycle manually. The report is called /TMWFLOW/SCMA_TRORDER_IMPORT.
This report imported all realized transport requests from the import queue of your system.

Or
Do you mean that you are trying to find the transport organizer in the workflow builder?
Menu -> extras-> transport organizer.
Please be more specific and clear about your query inorder to get suggestions from the forum.

BW 7.0 to 7.3 upgrade-Post upgrade activity and Transport the changes

Hi Experts,
We have upgraded our BW system from Release 7.0 to 7.3. As part of Security post upgrade activity I ran Migration steps,
RSECADMIN-Extras->Migrations->Migration:Release 7.0 to Release 7.3. and later SU25 steps too.
I fixed the Roles appeared in SU25 Step 2C and made below Characteristics as auth relevant,
0TCAACTVT
0TCAIPROV
0TCAVALID
But I have few doubts before Quality movement,
1) Do I need to Run the Migration steps again in Quality and Production?
RSECADMIN-Extras->Migrations->Migration:Release 7.0 to Release 7.3
2) Do I need to transport only above Characteristics to Quality and Production or need to transport all the Characteristics and Analysis Authorization?
3) How to transport Characteristics?
Please provide your views.

Hi,
Technically its possible but it has its own consequences again based on the kind of object that you are going to Tranport.
The above statement is applicable considering that you have 3.x flow in Bi7.0 system and with no DTP's or transformation etc...
And if the BI7.0 is Unicode and 3.5 system is non-unicode then you will have lot of issues and most of the times you need Basis help to resolve the issues. So its bit risk to move the transport this way.
So its better to develop the objects once again in 3.x system and then transport from D to Q and to P as a standard practice.

Transporting Workflow changes to QA

Hi Experts,
I have some Qs regarding transporting the changes made to the Workflow.
My Question is that, a custom workflow has lot of requests associated with it ..( both customizing and workbench ).
Once my workflow has been transported to QA. Now i have to make sm changes to the send mail step.
I have made the change and linked it to a transportable workbench request.
Now releasing this request alone will move the change . Or i have to goto basic data and Active the Strt condition again and transport that too, so that the change works fine in QA ?

Yes, there is no need of transporting again the linkage request.Only the changes are reflected to the other system when ever you try to export a request to other system.
And make sure each time you do a change and when the request is ported to the other system then run the TXn SWU_OBUF and refresh the organizational assignment . this makes the workflow environment to run smoothly.

How to activate the standard workflow :ws10000051

    here is my problem:
    I want to activate the standard workflow for document parking :ws10000051 .
     I have already activate the event type linkage in SWE2.
    And then , i maintian obwa , obwj , obwb, obwc, obwd.obwe,obwf.
     In obwa,i choose posting release , subworkflow is ws10000055.
    In obwe, Swf amnt rel is ws10000052.
    In obwf , the org object is the position cfo (myself), before i assign this ,i create a position in ppoce.
   But, when i use f-65 to park a document , i can't receive any workflow in sbwp. I also find "the status of Document Parking (Frame), Parallel is error " in my outbox.
   Can anyone tell me the reason ?

    you are right . when i check swel ,i found ws10000051 : evnet put in the queue . more detail message said :The OPEN_DI of BTE 00002214 could not determine any function modules.
when i check the workflow log (view with technical details), the activity :' determine subworkflow for amount release of document etermine subworkflow for amount release of docu ' status error . the message said :error in workflow customizing for document parkig (transaction obwe).
i don't understand this , because i have already maintian obwe. i made a new entry,like this:

When we are moving from dev to QA to prod normally the remote system to which MDM is interacting also moves to similar environments. In different environments the reference table data may not match and hence it is advised not to move with same data. You can do this by simply exporting the schema of the repository from dev to QA and so on. That is create a new repository in QA and Prod by using option of "Export from Schema".
Matching strategies and workflows are not supported in this schema transport for MDM 5.5
These has to be created manually once the repository has been created.
Good news is MDM 7.1 supports this.

Error occured while importing the transport request to quality

Hi,
The driver program and form are in active status. We got the output also.
When we checked the transport log for request(TR), it says that the form is not yet imported into EQ1. The system will update the transport log if there is any error related to driver program or form. Here we donu2019t find any error. As per the system response, u2018Import post-processing is not performed for this objectu2019.
I am getting below error while importing the request.

If you happend to be one of those who forgot the transport request number of your abap program.
You can easily find it via the Versions Management.
Steps :-
Transaction SE38
Filled in your ABAP program name.
Then click Utilities -> Versions -> Version Management
SAP system will display this sample list :-

Problem in transporting workflows

Hi,
There are some workflows already existent in the QA system. I try to make some client specific changes to the workflow template and one of the tasks and after Im done. I try to create a new request to send across the changed wf template and the changed task. I am not sure how to do that, can anyone help me

Don;t know on which sap version you're on. But ther should be an export/import from xml option in the menu of the wf builder (pftc, click in template then worklfow builder button). I've never tried this before, so I don't know if this works.If you're trying to create a "custom" transport in which create the keys manually. Then I advise you to first create/change a WF-template in dev and look up what entries are in the transport and use these tables with your own key to create the import.
