Transferring CS3 to new computer and upgrading to CS6

I am wanting to transfer my Adobe CS3 suite to my new Macbook Pro. I'm worried about not being able to access my design files correctly once transferring to my new computer. I'm also interested in upgrading to the latest CS6. Any advice would be appreciated!

To install your CS3 Suite, don't try to copy the application files. If possible, use the installer discs or a copy of the installer file you original used to install on your old computer. If you don't have the original discs/installer file, you can download the installer here:

Upgrade to CS4 on New Computer

I have a current version of CS3 and want to upgrade to CS4, but on a new computer. I do not believe CS3 can be installed again on my new computer (Win7, 64 bit). What are my alternatives?

I have gotten into the habit of jotting down the serial numbers of the prior verisons on the inside cover of the most recent release.
That way if I get stuck without the older version and no web access during a re-install I can quickly enter the upgrade path information. (This only needed to happen to me once before I figure it out)

Installing cs3 on new computer

I have 2 computers with cs3 installed. One of the computers recently died and I purchased a new one. When I try to install cs3 on the new computer it says I have reached the maximum number of activations. There's no way to deactive cs3 on the old computer because it won't even turn on. Any solution? There should be a phone number on the activation denied screen. Call it and explain the situation.

I found the problem. CS3 was loaded on the old laptop with Vista OS; I upgraded to Windows 7. The new laptop is loaded with dWindows 7 OS. I changed the compatiblity in properties to Windows 7 and the Program loaded...
I have another issue that really surprised me. All my recent photos are shot in Raw. Neither Photoshop or Bridge will open NEF files on the new laptop. Photoshop will open JPEG files but not NEF files. What do I have top update to correct. Photoshop and Bridge functioned great on the old computer why not on the new one...

Activating PS CS5 on a new computer

I have had CS5 on my laptop and desktop machines,IAW the EULA.
I'm selling my laptop, so I deactivated it on that machine, but it's still active on the desktop.
What do I need to do when I get the new laptop to legally install PS CS5 on it?

You should be able to install and activate your software on the new computer successfully. If you do run into problems though you will want to contact our support team.

I need help activating serial number on a new computer after deactivation from an old computer

I deactivated and checked the box for remove entire product from my old computer and now the serial number is saying it is not valid when I try to use it on my new computer even after registering it, any ideas?

The CC version doesn't use a serial number. Is activated with your Adobe ID and password. And it's all tied to your account being paid current. Other than that, the programs are the same. You have been provided the link to the standalone installation in the comment above this one.

Upgrading & moving LR to new computer

Hello! I would love some help.
I have a question with a few question in it!
I have been using LR3 for 2 years and have one catalogue that has been on the same computer the whole time.
I just bought a new mac and want to do 3 things:
1. Get LR on to my new computer (yes I still have the cd and #)
2. Upgrade to the newest LR (5 I think)
3. Get my catalogue that I have been using for 2 years on to the new computer and have it work with LR 5
I want all these things to work together, I am hoping that I will be able to upgrade to LR5 and still be able to use my old catalogue.
So my question is what should I do first? Get LR on new computer, then upgrade, then transfer catalogue and will it all work like that.

Separate the two tasks.
Upgrade on the same computer, once you are sure everything is working, then move everything to the new computer; OR
Move eveything to the new computer in LR3, once you are sure everything is working, upgrade to LR5.
It probably doesn't matter which order you this.

Also, throughout this entire process, do not use this as an opportunity to rearrange files and folders for any reason, do not try to "clean up" your folders or make the more logical. Move them to a new computer yes, but other than that, no rearranging or moving files or folders from here to there.

Summerraephoto you will want to install Lightroom 5 on your new computer. You will be prompted to enter your qualifying upgrade serial number, from Lightroom 3, when you launch the application.

Activation of CS2 on a new computer

I like to deactivate CS2 on my old computer and transfer the activation to a new one.
This does not work as it is presented in the program. The Adobe server has presumably changed its address or something.
Anyone who knows how to do this?

CS2 is end of life and the Activation server has been stopped.
You can use the link to download the application and install using the steps mentioned in the link below.

Just installed CS3 on new computer and none of the programs run

I've had my CS3 for 3ish years now. It worked fine on my old computer, which had XP Home.
Now I have Windows 7 64 bit edition, and everything installed fine, but the programs won't run. Dreamweaver and Bridge just don't even appear, and Photoshop will load the grey program loading screen but nothing else. It'll stay there forever and when you click anywhere on the window, it says "Program not responding".
Help, please! I have some work I have to do and I don't know how to get this up and running.

I recently re-booted my system (windows 7) and have been re-installing Adobe Creative Suite 3 (CS3).
None of the programs load because it needs to verify my license and the pop-up which asks me to enter my license is not popping up so I am unable to load any of the softwares.
This issue has already been solved and I downloaded a patch to fix this from the Adobe website last year and it worked perfectly.
That patch has since been removed. (KB401528)

if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.

Can't install PPro CS3 on new computer

After doing previous research it appeared that PPro CS3 (and the rest of the Production Premium Suite could be installed on a 64 bit machine.
I attempted to install Production Premium (but only selected PPro, AE, Soundbooth and Encore) and got an error message after all 4 discs were completed as instructed in the installer. The error may have to do with the fact that I installed a download version of Design Premium CS4 a few weeks ago. The download was made to my desktop. The installation was then directed to the C drive. After the install was complete, I deleted the download file since I did not want a 500MB file on my desktop.
The CS4 programs all seem to work fine. However, when I tried to install the CS3 Production Premium programs, I got a lengthy dialog box of the errors which referenced missing files that the installer identified as being on my desktop.
Is there a way to install Production Premium CS3 successfully on a 64 bit machine given these conditions?
