Activating windows after formatting my computer

I just formatted my computer when doing hardware upgrades and when I was prompted to activate my windows, I was unable to enter any 0's or 1's. They are flagged as "unacceptable characters". Activation time has run out and its saying I am
running a non-genuine copy. I have tried re-installing my key board and mouse driver with the same effect. keys 0 and 1 work on all other programs. any ideas??

may I know If the OS bundled with PC (OEM)? OS installed already when you buy this PC, non physical disk installation, non separate windows installation
may I know what hardware changes? HDD, RAM, CPU?
If this PC OEM you need to contact your OEM manufactured, they will re-tattoo your motherboard in order to recognize new hardware changes

I have movies in my Mac. I would like to know what would happens if I formated my mac? what would happens if a movie was mistakenly erased?
Can I download it again? if not, does that mean I have to burn all my movies in CDes?

The iTS policy is one time download - therefore backup all your purchases and anything else.
If you reinstall the System there is an option to install/archive which will save all you settings and key all you files including tunes etc.
If you do a clean install then everything is removed or rather the files names are erased from the directory. Some of the files could still be recovered with software.

Unable to re-download mountain lion after formatting my macbook

After formatting my computer, I went to the App Store to download for the second time OS X Mountain Lion, however it doesn't appear in my purchased apps. As anyone ever had this problem? Can we only download it once? And would anyone know a solution?

Just found the solution, the app was actualy marked as "hidden" in my store profil and to click on it so that it would appear in my bought apps.

After formatting my laptop with XP ipodtouch will not synchronise ,Also when asking for homesharing for my AppleTv, they are telling me to deauthorize existing computers.But how?

1.after formatting my computer , the ipodtouch is not getting synchronised
2.when choosing homesharing on appleTv , it is asking to deauthorise earlier computers. I do not find the option for deauthorising earlier computer.

It helped in authorising the computer after deauthorizing existing 5 computers.
But even after synchronising the ipodtouch with i tunes, the contents of ipodtouch could not be transferred to the itunes library,especially the musics.
How to tackle this problem?

Well, there's also a Creative Suite forum. Personally I'm not familiar with After Effects at all.
In general however, if you are going to install the application on the very same computer and hard drive, you do not have to deactivate first.
However, if you end up with a different CPU or another hard drive, then yes, you should deactivate it.
Just keep in mind that you only get a limited number of re-activations, so don't waste them unnecessarily.
Contact Adobe customer service if in doubt as to the number of activations you have left.
Also note that I have no experience with Creative Suites on a subscription basis, so I'm talking from the point of view of my perpetual licenses to Adobe applications.

You formatted your computer's hard drive? If so, it's like starting with a new computer unless you restored all of your content from a backup but it does;t sound like that's the case.

Any active window becomes inactive after 10+ seconds. This doesn't just affect the Finder. It makes it very difficult to type an email or post to this forum.
No matter what window I select with the mouse, it will become deselected in a few seconds. I've ruled out the mouse and the keyboard. I don't know of any settings that would cause this. Can anyone offer a solution short of reinstalling the OS. I just finished installing my apps from receiving this computer at work on Friday.

I just reinstalled the OS, as Archive Install with Preserve User settings checked, without running System Update to 10.5.1. All is well now. Though I haven't run all of the installed apps since reinstalling. Some of my apps are not Universal Binary (ex. QuarkXPress 6, MS Office 2004, Adobe ImageReady CS2), though that shouldn't be a problem. Right now I will be ignoring the 10.5.1 update.

Hi everybody. I got a computer last christmas (2012) and it was pre-installed with windows 8.
As something happened to my computer (all metro apps stop working, inclusive settings, scince it's a metro app) I decided to make a full system restore. When I finally were able to find how (Without using settings) i did it.
Now I have a Clean computer with windows 8 but it says I have not registered windows 8! As I'm pretty used to computers, I looked for the serial number under my computer. I thought I found it (Teh number after S/N) but it wasn't that. (Some of the numbers
were not usable in a activation key, such as L and W) As I go into computer info, i see a code which looks like this: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX, but then I get to the wierd part. "This Product key is already used on Another computer, Try with Another
key or try again. And when I try again 0 can't be used...

1. Press WIN+R, then it will prompt RUN dialog.
2. type “slui 4”, and press Enter.
3. Following the direction to activate your system.

Active window hidden after 10.5.2 update

I installed 10.5.2 today and now my active window isn't moving to the front on my desktop. The top of the window turns dark gray but the window doesn't change places with the window that had been the active window.
Anyone else experiencing this?

When these people were losing application windows (myself included), using the Spaces commands of Control-arrow or Control-number brought the windows back.
I’m sure it is a difficult problem for Apple programmers and beta-testers to find because it doesn’t happen on every system. It does it on my office computer, but not on my home computer, where I’ve never tried Spaces. But others have said they could not replicate the problem.
I use a lot of third party software on my office machine, like iClock and WeatherPop, that could be causing this behavior in Spaces because they activate periodically to update from the internet and who knows what else. Or it could be some other automatic application that somehow triggers Spaces.
Because the very simple workaround of using the Spaces commands fixes the problem immediately, I have started using the Spaces application and on the rare occasion it loses a window, I can quickly correct it.
Something was changed in the 10.5.2 update, because the disappearing windows and Spaces automatically activating when it was not enabled has occurred less often with this version, but I’ve still had it occur with the latest version. The problem now is so rare, after a few days of using 10.5.2 I posted a comment somewhere that the Spaces problem was fixed in this update, but then it occurred again after that.
Other than losing windows, I’ve had Spaces automatically activate itself. I have PowerPoint in one Space and Safari in another. I wanted to drag some public domain photos from the internet into a PowerPoint presentation, so I disabled Spaces in System Preferences to have both available to drag the pictures because items cannot be dragged between Spaces, or at least none I know of. As I was dragging a picture from a website, PowerPoint disappeared back into its Space. I went to System Preferences and confirmed Spaces was NOT enabled, and yet the Spaces commands worked to move through the Spaces.
I’ve seen many places in this forum where you have provided excellent advice. Please keep up the good work.

Formatted Search - Restrict to Only One Customer on Activity Window

Hello Experts:
Am trying to create a formatted search to provide a suggested RMA Number on the Business Partners > Activity window in a UDF.
While in Activity, the user should get a list of ONLY the one customer they are currently working with. So if C0001 is being used in the Activity window, the list should show all suggested RMA numbers just for that customer of C0001, not any other customer.
When I use the following it shows all customers.

Gordon - tried to use your SQL but it gave me an error of "Internal Error (-1003) Occured [Message 131-183] every time I tried to click on the magnifying glass. However, due to your last line in the SQL it gave me an idea that eventually they were OK with - namely, the highest number to the top of T0.ClgCode...

When you are successful, be sure to backup the install file and your S/N to a backup HD and/or CD so it is available in the future.
