This is the message I received upon installation of Digital Editions 1.6.
There's not even a message or step for me to activate the program. The program launches, then this message immediately pops up. I can only click 'Cancel' to close the program[clicking 'Try Again' doesn't help a bit]

I have just installed Adobe Digital Edition 1.6 and upon finish of installation it launches the program, and a loading bar indicates that the program is trying to initiate for the first time. However, it had kept on returning activation error messages:

I have tried to install it on both of my PC (Windows Vista 64bit) and PowerBook G4, and I got the exact same error message. There were no activation options other than the 'Try again' and 'Cancel' button on the pop-up window. I have also noticed that, unlike other Adobe AIR programs Digital Edition's default installation directory isn't the 'Application' folder. Just wondering if this was intended to happen by default.
I have used previous version of Digital Edition, and was very pleased with the interface and user-friendly functionality. It's a shame that I have to search for alternatives now.

Error upon loading a video from the iTunes in the cloud
I bought a movie called Epic and when I tried to play on my Apple TV via streaming from the iTunes in the cloud it was playing until yesterday it start displaying an Error message "Error upon loading this video content". How long does it take for that to be corrected?

Typically any mention of ripping DVDs may get a topic removed from the ASC forums since it is discussion of an "illegal activity" and subject to Terms of Use.
The key thing here is if you upload a file to your library, then try to replace that same file with the same file name, iTunes will ignore it and NOT overwrite the file that's already there. You have to delete the file off first and THEN add to library again.
Correct, iTunes works on a file basis not a track label basis. That's why I said delete the old file. You could have 20 identical files with the same name (in different folders) and iTunes will add them all right next to each other. Nothing new in iTunes behavior there. In fact if you had gone to the location where the media file was stored and copied a new one over the old one with the same name I believe iTunes would still know it wasn't the original. You can, however, edit a file using a third party tool and save it in place and iTunes will accept the changes without having to re-add the file. -

I am trying to install CS5.5 on an HP laptop running Windows 7. It is an upgrade version. I had it installed once, but InDesign did not function fully (could not access any tools or choose any of my paragraph style definitions). So I uninstalled and tried again. Now I can't get past the "Finish" window that reads as follows:

First let me say that contacting "Customer Support" is ineffectual. They will tell you that it is a tech problem and to contact Technical Support.
Before I began getting this message over and over, upon installation, I would be told that the resolution of my monitor did not meet minimum requirements and needed to be set to at least 1024 x 768. My monitor was set to 1600 x 900.

W7 Ultimate 32 bit English - error upon iso download that ENGLISH is not supported
I have a legitimate Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit English DVD with product key sticker inside.
My computer however has no DVD player, so I figured I would download the ISO and create a bootable USB key for install.
Where can I download Windows 7 ISO? I have a Product Key.

When I select to verify my key I get this ridiculous error that ENGLISH is not supported....
Unsupported language error: The language you've selected is not available for the product you are eligible for. Please select a different language.
Is there a different site from which I can download a clean Microsoft copy of the ISO?
Alternatively I guess I could take the DVD and make an ISO from it on a different computer and create the usb bootable drive.

Since there are two DVDs (one 32 and one 64 bit) I tried to download the 64 bit one. Same error upon validation of key. Sigh.Andy

CS4 Fatal error at Installation!!
Hi,
i recently purchased the Design Premium student edition for windows and upon installing it,
i receive an installation error on the first cd due to Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, as i continue installation too the 2nd cd i receive a fatal error at installation due to the programs. It also states that i do not have an up to date service pack when i am running Windows vista business on Service pack 2!
Help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Thanks.Well after 3 weeks waiting for technical support to ring, they finally did and they told me to remove all files in 'temp files' folder, i also had to remove previous files in 'common files' folder such as Illustrator CS3 in my case and then make a new account on Vista that had administrator privledges and installed it through that account. I also stopped all running software, when in the installation i received the Service Pack notification that it wasn't the relevant pack but kept on going and ended up working fine!
If you cant do it yourself, and have an open case over Adobe site, then i suggest ringing the receptionist of local Adobe office and tell them that you've been waiting for weeks and want them to ring you ASAP (sound serious). Give them phone and case details and tech support should ring that day. It worked for me!

I am not able to download an ebook to my PC. I have windows 7 x64. I get a "Check Activation" error. The question is that I have 2 Adobe users. I have the ebooks associated to one of them but every time I download Adobe Digital Editions, independently from what user I download it, it always create the Adobe Digital Editions associated to the worng user. If I try to delete the Authoritation it says that it is nor posible and recommneds me to try later, but I never get it.
This is a user-to-user forum, and although Adobe staff make occasional appearances here, there is no guarantee that you will get any "officila" Adobe feedback.
If you have difficulties to install the online installer from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/, then download the offline installer http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe; save it to disk, then run it after closing all browser windows. -
I have a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9.4 (Maverick) and am trying to add Rosetta Stone Latin Am Spanish to this laptop, after having successfully installed it several years ago on a older MBP.
I was given the latest download file TOTALe 4.5.5 by Rosetta Stone Support for this purpose. It will install fine and work, immediately upon installation, but when I shut down and restart, I can no longer launch the program and get the Fatal Application Error 1141 code instead.
I have been through this issue many, many times with Rosetta Stone Support already and have followed, alone and with them, the troubleshooting link set up for this problem without success. My OS X is up to date. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem running Maverick.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. This is a relatively new MBP and the only add-on software other than Rosetta Stone is Microsoft Office.I have the same problem. Back in 2011 I bought Rosetta and got the very same problem, talked and talked to their support to no avail. On that instance they returned my purchase money. This time around I asked beforehand if the software was totally compatible with Yosemite and they said yes. I just got it, tried to unit and got error 1141 again. It is very frustrating! I will talk to them again but my hopes are very low. I guess one needs to understand that the software is crap!

DW CS 4 ERROR: "The Installer Database is corrupt."
Upon install attempt, I'm getting An ERROR: "The Installer Database is corrupt." ... this is a brand new machine, I just bought CS6 but want both 4 & 6 on the machine.... installing cs4 first then cs6... both full products. I never loaded the CS4 on but one computer, now I have a new machine and am thinking I will use the new one as my second install... this because i am worried about learning curve for the new version... In my first try to fix this I went on "bing" typed Adobe customer service and got a phone number.... the person wanted to charge me 99 bucks to fix it claiming "you need to buy this service" and "Yes we service Adobe Dell" when asked if this was adobe customer service or dell customer service.... I was asked for the KEY and told he needed to check his database ... he took the key, I bet this is bad.... I bet this joker was some scam artist and I told him so and hung up as soon as he demaned I buy his service... but he already had the key

Not seen this one before. This domain is part of a table append for EWM called "Item Process for Integration of EWM and Manufacturing" - was a business extension activated on the source system? What was the source? EHP3?

I would try to activate that view using SE11.

Those are all normal upgrade hints.
If you have such real errors as the first ones you posted it's a good advise to just fire up a browser, open http://service.sap.com/notes and search for the object name... in 90 % of the cases you will find a note.
Often it also help to just repeat the phase and check the log again. some of the problems are sometimes just sequence problems that are gone after the second try.

Framework error upon completion
hi experts,
i am facing this framework error during the DSO activation step in a process chain.
The error message says that process activate datastore object data,variant Actiavte DSO ZXXXXX has status FrameWork error upon completio(e.g. follow on job)
and when i checked that step's logs, it says loading is successful into the DSO. i then checked that status of the process chain through function module GET_STATUS there also it shows Framework error and Msg type as " J " which is for that error only
i have tried searching on SDN / SAP-help or OSS note regarding this but nothing was found meaningful.
please help me in eliminating this error, as i am experiencing this error for a couple of days now.

The problem that I have isn't installing ADE 2.0. I figured out the unblock trick before seeing these installation instructions. However, when attempting to download an ebook by clicking on the *.acsm file I get an activation error message.
ADE appears to open just fine, I can read the documents that are on the computer and on the nook.

I'm running ADE 1.7.2 on an older XP computer and everything works just fine. (Moments ago I downloaded a new library book on my XP computer, went fine, however, after transferring book to my nook I can't open. This a new message: Error Dialog. User not activated.)
The error window states: Error! Check activation.
I recently reviewed the help site again and followed instructions for allowing a program exception through Windows Firewall. No change. I've been unable to find a FAQ concerning that error.
