Activation/icloud on ipad air locked

how do I get a  ipad air unlocked but the activation and icloud is locked

If a second-hand iOS device has been 'Activation locked' then only the previous owner can unlock it, either by providing you with the account ID and password, or by removing it from his list of devices (as he should have done before selling it) - please see http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4515
If you are unable to contact him to do this then I'm afraid you will not be able to use the device - there is no other way of unlocking it at all. Apple cannot unlock it for you.
You should if possible return it to wherever you bought it and ask for a refund as in this event the device is completely useless.

    Honestly, I doubt anyone is really going to take the time to read the novel you have written.

    Hello
    To use iCloud Keychain of ipad you must activate the code of a lock. Would it be possible to disable the Lock code on the geolocation detects that I am at home?
    Sorry for my english the original text is:
    Pour utiliser le trousseau icloud sur ipad il faut activer le code de verouillage. Ne serait-il pas possible de desactiver le verouillage quant la geolocalisation detecte que je suis à la maison?

    If you don't have access to any other device with iCloud keychain activated, you'll have to contact Apple support for assistance completing the activation.

    If you sent a 'remote wipe' messages from http://www.icloud.com then that will only work if the iPad is connected to a network.
    You can reset the iPad back to factory defaults by connecting it to a computer's iTunes : Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled.
    If you had never connected it to a computer, then had you been backing up to the cloud so that you can then restore to that ?
    If not then what you can redownload from the stores for free will show in the Purchased tabs in the iTunes, App Store, and iBooks apps.

  • IPad air locking up frequently

    I have a iPad Air (part of the first ordered iPad Airs) that in the past 24 hours, has locked up more than 4 times.  No real distiguishable pattern - each time it has happened in a different app, including Apple/iOS (e.g. Settings).  Ive already done two hard resets, and it's still doing it.  I'm backing it up now and will do a restore, but just wondering if anyone else is having similar problems?

    This has been happening to me, and it is not a problem of not enough memory, etc.  I called Apple Support, and the tech had me turn the smart cover lock off and on, and reset the Network Settings, and it SEEMS to have made a difference.  So far, I have not had the problem again (which also included Safari's suddenly closing).  It also SEEMS to me that the iPad has its speed back.... I had not really noticed that it seemed to have slowed down, but since I made those setting tweaks, it has seemed much faster.  So, you might try these things and see if it makes a difference for you.

  • Ipad air locked

    ipad air has the same passcode since purchase.   not sure why suddenly passcode doesn't work.

    FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
    DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...
    Note:
    1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
    2. If you did not do step 4 properly, start all over again.

  • Can I unlock iCloud on an iPad air if it is locked and I purchase it used? Or does it mean the device has been stolen?

    i am am looking into purchasing a used iPad air. Problem however is the person states the iCloud is locked. Now can I unlock the iCloud or does it actually mean the device is probably stolen?

    If the seller really owns the iPad, he could easily delete the iCloud account and deactivate Find My iPad.
    See what you should look out for with second hand Apple devices:
    What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
    Nobody in his/her right mind would sell a device with iCloud ID intact.
    So I presume it stolen/found in any case keep your money.

    Punctuation would make your post a little easier to read and understand.
    What do you mean it won't hook up to iTunes? you mean iTunes does not recognize the device? If that's what you mean, one of these might be helpful.
    iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

    I have a 5s with an apple account and wife has a iPad air with its own cell number. You may have to do this several times.
    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
    MY IPAD AIR WI-FI 16GB SPACE GRAY  GOT STOLEN BUT I ONLY HAVE A SERIAL NUMBER IN THE BOX,HOW CAN I LOCK IT OR FOUND IT PLEASE?
    If you turned on Settings > iCloud > Find My iPad before it was stolen you can use the steps under "If Find My iPhone is enabled on your missing device" in the following link: If your iPhone, iPad, user iPod touch is lost or stolen - Apple Support
    If you had not turned on Find My iPad before it was lost, there isn't a way to locate it. There are some suggestions in the "If Find My iPhone isn't enabled" section near the bottom regarding changing passwords and other steps.
    My ipad air was stolen by a thief, how can I find his location once it is offline.
    What To Do If Your iDevice Is Lost Or Stolen
    iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad
    If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if it is connected to the Internet by Wi-Fi or cellular. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.
    If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:
