Activation iPhone 4 Went

Got my new iPhone and it activated fine. I called 611 from my old phone and it already recognized I had a new phone ordered. It asked to me to press 1 if I wanted to activate the new phone.
Be sure to back-up your old phone before you dial 611 to activate as it will disconnect the old phone when you confirm to do so.
I then synced the iphone 4 with iTunes.

Well, I hit a key and somehow posted the message before I was done....
Anyway, the sync with iTunes was uneventful, fortunately.
I was pleasantly surprised with how smoothly everything went.

My iphone 5 went into search mode and I can't place or receive calls or use the internet but my text messages work. Sprint had me do a master reset and my phone doesn't work at all now I can't get it past the activation. Will I have to pay for repairs in store because I didnt get the Apple care plan when I purchased it. Sprint said it may be a phone problem not sure if I should take it to Sprint or Apple...I just need my phone

I'm sorry to learn that you are not able to make/receive calls chelseabee! (ticket number removed) results indicate that there is no issues with the network or account provisioning. Since you have already done a hard reset http://vz.to/1gBkSJc (as per your post), I recommend exploring replacement options. If your phone is within the one year manufacturers' warranty we can provide a Certified Like New replacement http://vz.to/uyYF0o as long as no physical/liquid damage exist. • IPhone 6 went black screen after purchasing and activating 3 days from Apple Store Online. Please advise

I bought iPhone 6 from online apple store for my GF as bday gift..
3 days after receiving and activating it, iPhone 6 went black screen..
After all, it is a birthday gift..
Is this issue quite common in iPhone 6 edition?

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?
If this does not work, make sure that the phone is charged, then Connect in recovery mode, explained in this article:
If you can't update or restore your iOS device
If still no luck, contact Apple Support to get it serviced:

  • Getting contacts back without activation-iPhone 3g

I am unable to restore my contacts because I recently switched companies I work for and don't have current phone service. I backed up my contacts in iTunes before the service went dead. So in order to try and get the contacts back I did a restore. I am dead in the water because in order to complete the reload from a previous backup you must have phone service. I backed up in order to try the retore so the SIM card is blank. It is not a software nor hardware issue, I simply want my contacts back. Is there a way to get them back without signing up for a new plan or hacking the phone?

Contacts are designed to be synced with a supported application on your computer. Did you have an Exchange account with your previous employer and you were syncing iPhone contacts over the air with your Exchange account?
If not, with XP you can sync contacts direct via the iTunes sync process with Outlook 2003 or 2007 along with calendar events, or with the address book used by Outlook Express.
With a non-activated iPhone, as long as the no longer activated SIM card remains inserted in the iPhone - the SIM card that was used with the iPhone when the iPhone was activated, you should be able to install a firmware update or restore the iPhone with iTunes if needed or wanted. I do this with my no longer activated first generation iPhone.

  • IPhone 5s went dead permanently

My iPhone 5s went dead permanently, it was fine and one day while in my car I had it plugged into the auxiliary and the charger and when I turned the ac on it made noise and went dead. Restarted it and was fine for a couple weeks and then it just died and it won't charge come on, it does absolutely nothing, it's not even a year old

Not even a year old is great! (Not that it died, but that it did so within warranty.)
Apple has a one year warranty on all phones. Dig out your proof of purchase, or date of activation and contact Apple for a replacement.

  • Warranty Not Honored For Non-activated iPhones?

    Hello,
Is it true that Apple will not honor warranties against manufacture defects for iPhones that have not been activated? I went back to the store where I purchased my iPhone from, and that was exactly what I was told, however, the store manager could not find where it explicitly states that under the terms and conditions for warranty. Can someone please clarify this?

If your iPhone was purchased in the U.S., it was sold as carrier locked with at&t only. None of the iPhone functions work until the iPhone is activated with at&t, or hacked to be unlocked for use with another provider.
    Copied from the written warranty.
+This warranty does not apply: (a) to damage caused by use with non-Apple products; (b) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, flood, fire, earthquake or other external causes; (c) to damage caused by operating the product outside the permitted or intended uses described by Apple; (d) to damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider (“AASP”); *(e) to a product or part that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of Apple;* (f) to consumable parts, such as batteries, unless damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (g) to cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports; or (h) if any Apple serial number has been removed or defaced.+
I believe the highlighted portion for exclusions applies to a hacked/modified iPhone for use with another provider. Doing so alters the functionality or capability.
An iPhone sold in the U.S. is designed to function as activated with at&t only.

I need to clear old iPhone, I went to the reset option in setting. It it's asking for a password... I don't recall setting a password up and help for this?  Thanks

Are you sure it doesn't have iOS 7 installed? It sounds like Activation Lock is on and if that is the case, when you do Settings > General > Reset > Erase all Content & Settings, you need to enter the password for the Apple ID.

I downloaded a movie from iTunes on my iPhone 4S, went out of the wifi zone and now my movie is no where to be found. I can't find it on my iPhone, Mac or iPad. Where is it?

Sounds like the movie didn't finish downloading before the Wi-Fi signal dropping ...
Try re downloading. You won't be charged again.

Iphone 5 went black.  Tried pushing on/off and circle at the same time.  Worked yesterday and then did it again today.  Can't get it to work.

You need to hold those button longer until you see the apple logo, then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

  • My iPhone 4S went into lock-up with a screen display image of USB connector pointing to iTunes logo. I took it to a Verizon store and they said I have a brick lock and that only an Apple retail store 50 miles away could clear it

My iPhone 4S went into lockup with a screen displaying an image of the USB connector pointing to the iTunes logo. I was traveling and took the phone to the closest Verizon store. The store informed me that I had a brick lock and that only an Apple retail store could unlock the phone. The Verizon store explained that they have seen this problem with SEVERAL other 4S users who had upgraded to the new iOS7 operating system and that to their knowledge it is too demanding to work on pre-iPhone 5S phones having a far less capable processor. The closest Apple store was 50 miles away in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. I went to that store three days later (today) to reset the phone before flying out of Philadelphia Intl. Airport. The Apple store personnel were overloaded and not sensitive to my plight. They told me that I would have to make a reservation for a time 2 hours later for tech support. I couldn't do that without missing my flight - out of luck until I get back to Los Angeles. If the Verizon store explanation is true, Apple needs to accommodate 4S and earlier generation users and not force them to upgrade to a $459 iPhone 5S!

The salesperson at Verizon has no clue what their saying.
My 4S and many of my friends works perfectly fine on IOS 7.3, no issue as all.
