Activation of Business set IS-Utilities Vs. FICA (Contract AR and Payable)
Hi,
We are unto Implementaion project and in initial stages of Realization. We are on ECC6.0 version.
As it is exclusive FICA project <no metering,Billing & Invoicing >.We activated only Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable as Business Function set.
Now we are told that in future we may have to do billing and invoicing as well in SAP. Hence planning to activate Utilities as the Business Function set.
My Questions are:
1. Is it possible to change the activation from Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable to Utilities?
2. If so, shall be there any impact? If so, to what extent?
3. If we use Utilities can we implement only FICA? Do Contract, Move-in, Move-out is mandatory? We are creating Business Partners and Contract accounts through Migration.We do not have contracts, move-in or move-out as of now.
Your thoughts & helps is appreciated on this.
If any one has any documentation on 'change of Application area', can you please forward to me?

In that case ,at the start of the implementation we need to select tht BFS which corresponds to your industry solution and moreover you can activate one BFS for each instance.Now answering your questions one by one:
1) You can change the activation from FICA to Utilities which is known as BFS Utilities and consists of BF ISU_UTIL_WASTE and BFS ISU_FM.They contain all the modules i.e FICA,Billing,Device management etc .which you want to use.But for this you need to deactivate the previous BFS which you have activated.
2) The impact will be that your previous settings will be erased and you need to start from fresh.
3) If you use utilities ,Move -in ,Move -out is mandatory because a bill will not be generated unless a move -in is done i.e unless a contract is created and an installation is done.

Exhausted with all options for error "No active userstore is set"
Dear Experts,
I changed the client number to 200 in UME configuration from default client number 001. Also I had created a system user SAPJSF in the backend system in client 200. I restarted the j2ee engine but its not starting. I received this error WebAS running. Server not found. The log says "No active userstore is set".
I have researched the forum and tried out *all the notes and set the parameters in visual administrator tool*. Nothing is working.
I have reinstalled my system atleast 4 times after and finally I have exhausted with all options.

Question on activation of Business content.
Hi friends,
Our client is implementing BW , and we are in the process of activation of business content, I already some content activated already , for Porcurement, right not I see , in Administrator work bench > Infoprovider TAB>0MMPUR_IO and all the master data objects under neath it and the same under Infosources tab also , so what is the grouping they might have follwed in installing and with what activation they must have started with ( IO, Infoarea, Insource..data targets ..)?
Once we know what they have followed with , we want to continue the same for others .
thank you.You can still activate content with grouping as required but in the process just make sure you set/flag the Match(x)or Copy and Installation will not impact/overwrite already activated objects.

SaleemMaybe I don't understand your question, but I think this is no a SDK issue.
An activity can be a call, a meeting, a task, any interaction with a customer that you want to keep record.
So, lets say you have a sales opprotunity, and in the first meeting you came up with a follow up meeting. Then, you open the sales opportunity in SAP, and add an activity for that opportunity, detailing when, where is the meeting, who will go,what do you have to show, etc. You can set a reminder so you don't miss this meeting.

Hi,
I put ABAP and Java together and this morning when I restart j2ee, I found server stated but dispatcher is not.
when I go to http://hostname:50000/irj/portal I got error
503 Service Unavailable
7.00
Dispatcher running but no server connected!
Details: No details available
then I check the log file std_server0.out file and find following logs.
I feel the problem is no active userstore is set. and I did check config tool regarding
the com.sap.engine.services.security and 1. I did not change anything there before, 2. I restore the default setting which does not make any changes.
what do I need to check or get this fixed?

What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLARFC" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_SEND_DYNPRO_NO_RECEIVER', was
not caught and
therefore caused a runtime error.
The reason for the exception is:
During background processing, the system attempted to send a
screen to a user.
Current screen: "SAPMSYST " 0029.
How to correct the error
If the error occurred in your own ABAP program or in an SAP
program you modified, try to remove the error.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:

Error while activating PM Business Content DSO 0PM_DS01
I am trying to activate the Business Content for PM (Plant Maintenance). I wasable to activate the cubes without any problem.
But when I tried activating the DSO 0PM_DS01, the installation is failing while activating the DSO with the message. "You are not authorised for Infosource 80PM_DS01"
Has anybody else also faced a similar error?

iam getting few errors
Error-1:- Characteristic 0COUNTY_CDE is still being used as target of transfer rule ZCOUNTY_TEXT
Error-2:- Char. 0CRM_OBTYP3 is exclusively an attribute (cannot be a navigation attribute)
Error-3:- Authorization field CRM_SALORG still being used in authorization objects
Error-4:- Cannot delete authorization field of InfoObject 0CRM_SALORG
Error-5:- InfoObject ZDGTDCODE is used in transfer rules (1CL_OMAT001_BB) of characteristic 0MATERIA
Can anyone please clarify regarding these kind of errors.

In general while activating the info cube if any object is in inactive means we will activate the object seperatly and we will activate the info cube it will resolve the issue. but here those 0DB-- objects are not available in the BI content.
While activating the sales and inventory info cube it was throughing the short dump, In the short dump it is showing these message.

I have seen that error when activating the BC-set also. But iI recall that I have nto had any bad affect from it and was able to configure and get GRC AC 10.0 working fine.
From what I could gather and understand, that error comes up as some of those entries are activated with blank entries, which makes sense as you would not have activated certain MSMP processes yet.
I suggest carrying on activating the BC sets and configuring the tool and see how things go. Hopefully you wont have any issues.

Error during activation of business content

I am facing problems during the activation of the standard business content.
I am trying to activate the infocube 0ic_c03 material stock movement. We are using BW version 3.5 patch level 13.
while activating the business content and using the grouping "in data flow before" there are several errors which come up during the simulation install such as
infoobject XXX is not available in version A
Error when reading data target XXXX
Data source XX not mantained
Key figure XXX is not available in version D
In order to avoid activating pre-installed objects i have deselected them.
I am in urgent need of some help. So any ideas that will help to resolve my problem are assured of being rewarded handsomely!!

since i am fairly new at this I wanted to know
1. does it make sense to install (or activate) the infoobjects which are shown as not available in version A individually and then trying the install of the infocube. It does remove the errors associated with the infoObject as i saw with one infoobject. Does this have any other impact
2. For the data sources i went to rsa5 on the source r3 system. but the data sources listed in the errors were not found (the data source errors that are shown are of the type 0DBDUNS_IMPORT_XXX). Also it is my understanding that the data sources that are required for the inventory cube are 2lis_03_bx , 2lis_03_bf and 2lis_03_um. Is this correct? I do not see them indicated in these errors. What do i do once i am in rsa5 and i select these datasources?

Business Content Activation of business partner
Hi,
I am activating standard business partner from business content.The business partner we have right now is of version 3.3/01 and has lot of custom fields. When I am activating the version 3.5/03 I want to make sure I don't lose those custom attributes and also want to know how this will impact the cubes,ODS,Infosets,Update rules,Transfer rules, queries etc associated with this InfoObject. Can anyone please help me out with this issue.
Also while trying to simulate installation of an InfoObject,it ends up with red light. It gives me a message that one of the attributes in the latest version is a navigational attribute and the older version it was a display attribute.Hence while simulating I check both the install and match/copy box so that I can transfer the selections without having to make it navigational but end up with the red light. Is it advisable that I go ahead with installation or how should I go above it.

when you activate the new version , the version is changed from M to A and the new business content would become the active state...
But then since the old BPartner IOBJ is being used in ODS.. cubes etc , I am not sure if your Business COntent installation can proceed since there is master data as well as the same being used across BW.
You could try a merge instead to see if he new fields as part of the new business content is carried over.

Change in Business Partner restricted in case of Contract already activated
Hi Friends,
I have come across a very strange scenario which is described below:
I have created a RE-FX Lease Out Contract , activated the same and have carried out certain number of Periodic Postings. Now i can change the Business Partner of the Contract from existing X (for example) to a new Business Partner Y (for example).
Why would this kind of option be available in the system (I mean for what kind of Business Requirement this shall be allowed??) and how can i control that in case a RE-FX Lease Out Contract has been created and activated, nobody should be allowed to change the Business Partner in the Contract.
Has anyone come across this kind of a scenario???
Plz reply back with your valuable inputs ASAP.
