Activation of Export LC's

Friends,
So far we are not using Export LC's in our company...
LC Application, LC opening are totally handled out of SAP.
Special GL Indicator u201CLu201D has been created as Advance LC, 100% LC either in advance along with PO.
Till GR and IR happen the amount of LC would be treated as Advance and the same would be cleared against Payable after IR is posted.
Special GL Indicator u201CWu201D has been created for the payables that would be payable through LC. After IR is posted, payables would be transferred as payable by LC through Special GL Indicator u201CWu201D.On due date or debit by Bank against this LC, vendor would be debited with Special GL Indicator u201CWu201D and Bank credited.
As of now, LC is handled as normal check payment only. (i.e. whenever the bank debits account, vendor account is debited against payable and bank is credited)
*Now we are looking at implementing Standard Export LC functionality*
How should we go about it in standard SAP..

Hi Siva,
I guess this is related to your other query. As mentioned there take a look at Note 1331066 which is part of SCM 7.0 SP 4.
One easy way to determine the relevant notes by each application area is to check the Support Pack link as below

You can then open each application area check for relevant notes for your issue. Use 70003, 70002 and 70001 to see the notes bundled in SP3, 2 and 1 respectively for SCM 7.0. The latest SP available for SCM 7.0 is SP5.

Media Encoder error about activation when exporting in activated version of Premiere CS4

I get the following error when I try to export media in Premiere CS4 (Note: I have a legal and activated copy of CS4 Master Collection). In Premiere, it appears to go through (the loading progress bar fills and then disappears) but when I check the folder, it's empty. And then I notice that there's another icon in my taskbar and oh hey, it says "AMT Subsystem Error: Thank you for using Adobe Media Encoder CS5. The Adobe product that installed Media Encoder has not activated. Please launch and activate that Adobe product before continuing to use Media Encoder."
I'm using Windows 7 x64 (8gb of RAM). I tried installing the patch as suggested in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/719451 but it only claimed to not have the corresponding program installed. I tried checking to see if there were any updates - there weren't.
A quick check on my computer reveals that both Media Encoder CS4 and CS5 are installed. I looked to see if there was a way to uninstall the CS5 version but didn't see it. The only way I think I could have gotten it was though some sort of Adobe update.
Any ideas of how to fix this?

Hi: I have the same problem, but it happened very suddenly and after very specific updates. I successfully encoded a file using the CS6 encoder. Then, I allowed updates to Adobe Media Player and Adobe Air. I tried to encode with CS6 again and it had stopped working - all in the space of 5 minutes. A reboot did not help. I also have CS4 and CS 5.5 installed and have had all along (which means that you can have them and use the CS6 encoder). Since I can no longer use the CS6 encoder, but am able to launch an older one, I am using that for the moment. I hope that this reply will be of some help in finding a solution.

Bulk REST API v2 Activity Data Export "Primary Key"?

After reading the documentation, I expected that ActivityId would be the primary key when exporting activity data -- e.g. that there would be no duplicate ActivityIds in the items data returned by the export. However, I am seeing exported data where I have multiple activity datums that are identical except they have different CampgainIds
Is ActivityId,CampaignId the primary key for activity data? If not, what is?
When will activity data with the same ActivityId have different fields (excluding CampaignId)?

I met the same problem as pod
It happens when I tried to load all historical activities, and one sample is same activityId was given to 2 different types (one is EmailOpen, the other is FormSubmit) that generated in year 2013
Before full loading, I ever did testing for my job, extracting the activity records from Nov 2014, and there is not unique ID issue
Seems Eloqua fixed this problem before Nov 2014, right?
So if I start to load Activity generated since 2015, there will not be PK problem, or else, I have to use ActivityId + ActivityType as compound PK for historical data

Help keeping hyperlinks active when exporting as PDF!

Any ideas on how to maintain the bookmark and figure hyperlinks when viewed as a PDF?.. The links work fine on the iPad and within iBA but once exported as a PDF links will not work on my Mac or other computers the PDF is sent to. Apple's support page says hyperlinks should work, however I have not had any success with them. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get them to work?

Active Directory exports to OID (concerning password storage)

I dont know if this is answered somewhere else but I am hoping to get an answer from people who have synchronized OID to active directory already.
My question is do the AD passwords get stored in OID along with all the other user information during the sync? I know you must use an external plugin to authorize users against their passwords that come from AD.
I am just curious about this since it will probably be an issue for me down the line. Thanks!

Hi Seth
Its your choice. If you are using the External Authentciation feature in OID it is not necessary to store AD passwords in OID.
Keep this in mind about password synchronization between OID and AD. Currently all attributes are capable of two way synchronization between OID and AD except one. That is the users password. It is possible to synchronize a password from OID to AD but not from AD to OID.
This is primarily becaue Microsoft uses proprietary password hashing called "Unicode Password Hash" which as I said is proprietary to Microsoft. OID like most other LDAP servers supports open source password hashing such as MD5, MD4, SHA, SSHA and Crypt to name a few. Microsoft does not support any of these to my knowledge. So even if you could pass a user password from Active Directory to OID OID does not support MS password hashing.
We are however able to synchronize passwords from OID to AD over SSL. This is done with a feature called "Reversible Encrypted Password". By default this feature is turned off. When you enable this feature OID will store the users password in two different attributes. One is the traditional "userpassword" attribute which uses the hashing schemes I mentioned earlier. The other is a password attribute that stores the users password in an encrypted format that can be reversible to clear text. This clear text password can then be sent over SSL using a wallet to the AD server.
In version 10.1.3 (Mid 2005)of OID we plan to release a feature that will allow passwords from AD to be synched with OID. Until then Passwords can only be synched from OID to AD.

All picklists for Contact, Opty, Lead, Activity objects - Exported to exter

We have a requirement for extracting all picklists to an external database on a daily basis. We would like to use the Web Services to do that. We have no cascading picklists. We would like to use English and French languages (if not possible to haev English and French side by side, then English alone would be ok). Initial snapshot would take everything and then, only records which have been modified since last time data was extracted (if possible).
It would be nice to have the external table look like:
Object
Field Name
Value English
Value French
Enabled flag
Date CRMOD created
Date CRMOD modified
1) What would be the WS call(s) to achieve initial extract?
2) Can we extract for all objects at once or do we have to go object by object?
3) What would be the WS call(s) to get records that would have changed since last time?

The web service for this is in the services WSDL. Its a pretty straight forward SOAP message with only a few parameters to set.

Input and output values are language-independent code (LIC) delimited, but the multi-select picklist
delimiter is always a semicolon regardless of locale for input and output: <LIC1>;<LIC2>.

[CC][AS] Font errrors in pdf files exported from Indesign

Hi,
With this post I would like to ask for some advice on a problem I'm having exporting Indesign files to PDF using Applescript.
I have a lot of Indesign documents, related to one particular client. All documents need to be exported to highres PDF using a preset.
When I export a file to PDF manually, the resulting PDF file is ok. No errors are displayed when opening the pdf-file in Acrobat (full and reader).
When I export the same file, with the same pdf preset, using a Applescript, the resulting PDF-file shows an error in Acrobat when it's opened.
The message "Cannot extract the embedded font '....' Some characters may not display or print correctly'.
I have this issue in Indesign CS 5.5, CS6 and CC. When trying it on a larger scale, 90% of all documents have this issue. When doing it manually, all resulting pdf-files are fine. I've double checked this with Enfocus Pitstop. All reports are fine.
The Applescript code I'm using...

... pretty basic code ... I've tried placing it in a try/catch block, but no error or exception is trown.
The font refered to in the messagebox, varies from document to document...
All fonts are present the document. No fonts are missing. I've cleared all font caches, multiple times, with no luck. All fonts are checked and are not corrupt or damaged. The Os x version i'm using is 10.8
Does anyone have any idea on how to solve this issue?

I've did a lot of test and changing the subset settings didn't solve anything.
I was able to create a temporarily fix for the problem. Every time a file has to be processed, I quit and relaunch Indesign. By doing so, I lose 80% performance because it takes longer to quit and relaunch the app, then to create the PDF-file. I went from a 3 second processing time, to 10 seconds, every time...
I think a cache problem could be the reason.
Does anyone know if you can clear the application cache using scripting, without quitting the Indesign app ?

Both After Effects & Adobe Media Encode CC giving are not letting me export movies.
Some times they will, but after one file both programs give me the following error messages.
After effects:
“[file path and name].mov. An output module failed. The file may be damaged or corrupted. (-1610153464)"
AME:
"Can't read from source."
I've went through the forum and found threads & pages discussing the problem.
E.g.

After following all the tips and suggestions (from deinstalling quicktime components & audio components to completely reinstalling CC) I'm still experiencing the problems.
Which leaves me in a bit of a squeeze. I need to export over 144 movies in the coming 2 days and the only way to do this is to quit and open media encoder (or AE) after each single export.
Not really an option.
Both problems have the process Adobe QT sever in common, I took this from the console:

Upgrading to CC has given our office nothing but problems.
Hope someone can help to find a work around until Adobe realeases a proper update and solves this problem once and for all.

Regarding the crash log: it doesn't reference com.apple.audio.CoreAudio (though it did before, so I followed all the steps in your blog post before I posted to this forum).
I've uploaded the crashlog to:

If you want to inspect it. It mentions the DXV codec (which I also uninstalled), but the crash keeps occuring. Also I need to export to DXV since it's the only codec the d3 media
server accepts (http://d3technologies.com).
I followed all the steps in the troubleshooting steps.
Codecs used: I've tried everything from animation to Apple ProRes (including: h264/motion jpeg/uncompressed). With all codecs the Adobe QT32 server keeps crashing (though I can't always reproduce).
Export destination: Internal SSD (same as where the OS is installed on) + External raid (via firewire & thunderbolt) + external HD via usb 3.0 (tried everything).
When does the problem start: Really hard to specify, sometimes a day without crashes, sometimes every export for days on end. Sometime after restarting (tried logging out, restarting, switching off and on the computer). With other programs running and with out. Now checking every process active when exporting, and comparing log files.
Can you export to other formats: See question 1, sometimes I can, sometimes not.
When you launch AE and/or AME, is QT32 Server running? At what point does it stop running? Still runing when I open the program. It crashes when exporting (ofter after finishing the first export).
What component files are in your Library/QuickTime folder?: Currently the folowing:

Timeout when using ALV build-in functionality: exporting to Excel

Hello,
I have the following problem within one of my web dynpro abap applications:
I need to be able to display data in a table that preferably should be via alv component.
Then I shall also be able to download the displayed data via Excel.
So I have embedded the ALV component I added to the component within a view and activated the export to excel button.
Downloading small amount of data does no lead to any problem, but when trying to process a larger amount of data (in this case 22500 entries), I get a timeout.
Does anybody have any idea if it is possible to increase performance here without reducing the amount of data to be downloaded?

Export to PDF with Working Hyperlink

I saw a few of these questions, and left unanswered. I hope answering this question can help several people.
It appears when the hyperlink starts with http, exporting Crystal to PDF, Acrobat recognizes the link. However, when the hyperlink is to a file on a drive, exporting to PDF, the link is not recognized. Is there a way to have the hyperlink to a file on a drive remain active when exported to PDF?

One of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports Desktop Scheduling tools listed at: http://www.kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html provides a solution for this. It allows you to automate the process of exporting to pdf and then detecting file references in the pdf text and turning them to hyperlinks or detecting invisible formulas and turning them into file hyperlinks.

"Export audio of selected range markers to separate files" icon is grayed out in Markers window. Tracks show start times but no end times, yet duration is calculated.

I have one big wav file of segued tracks as a mixdown and inserted CD markers where I want marked tracks. "Export audio of selected range markers to separate files" icon is grayed out in Markers window. Tracks show start times but no end times, yet duration is calculated. Why can't I export these marked portions as separate files?

the markers durations need to be configured, there is an easy way to do this using your existing markers. click the start time of marker 2, this should change to edit mode to type in a new number, just copy the numbers cmd/ctrl+c. then click the end time of marker 1 and paste, cmd/ctrl+v. now repeat for the rest of the markers, and on the last one enter a value for the end time or click and drag on the duration to manually extend it. once all the markers have a duration, the button should be active to export.

ISE 1.3 Guest Activity

Hello,
is in the ise version 1.3 a possiblity that I can display the Guest Activity and export it via FTP?
What I'd like to see is: Which user opens which website/service. What kind of activity is the guest doing during he is using our guest wifi.

Hello Filip. No such an option is available in ISE. Moreover, only the Guest authentication traffic hits ISE. Once the guest user is authenticated the traffic no longer flows through ISE, thus, ISE has no visibility to what the user is actually doing on the network.
This sort of information would be best collected by your web security appliance. So for instance, if you have Cisco WSA/CWSA.

S_GUI settings Activity 02 and 04

Hi Experts
During authorization settings, users requires us to let them download data from SAP system.
To realize thier requirement, we activated authorizaton object "S_GUI", "Activity" 61 "Export".
When we explained this authorization function to our customer, they asked us
"What other settings mean?", at that time, we couldn't answer thier question properly.
This "S_GUI" settings, we know the function what activity 60:Import/61:Export" control, but
for other activity "02:Change" and "04:Print", when we activate these function, we have
no idea what kind of function it would provide us.
I found one topic in SAP wiki -> http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SMAUTH/S_GUI
and it says as below;
61: Download; This authorizes you to save lists displayed on the screen in local files (either unconverted, in spreadsheet format, or in Rich Text Format). This authorization can only be granted or denied fo all lists in the system - you cannot restrict it to a selection of lists.
60: Upload; This authorizes you to load data into the system using ws_upload or gui_upload. You cannot select the data to be uploaded.
04: Print; (not used)
02: Change; (not used)

PFCG, i can not figure out whether it works or not. I don't know what these settings allow users to do,either.

Just want to make sure. Activating or disactivating these two authorization activity,
there is no difference. nothing would happen in SAP system right?
If so, my question is just solved. I am going to explain it to our customer.
