Activation of InfoObject ...

HI,
I need to activate a standard InfoObject ' 0crm_cpstat ' which is used for Budgeting in CRM. I tried to get it from the Business Content of BW 3.5, but after installing it, it shows error that it cannot be activated. Can anyone help ?

       The standard InfoObject ' 0CRM_CPSTAT ' couldn't be activated from the Business Content, even after trying with RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE and RSDG_IOBJ_REORG . Following are the errors displayed, as per the sequence, after using RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE :

Iam trying to activate 0MATERIAL infoobject.
But while activating the particular infoobject iam getting few errors saying that
InfoObject ZDGTDCODE is used in transfer rules (1CL_OMAT001_BB) of characteristic 0MATERIAL

Hi,
The object has been used in the Material classification Data source as well(1CL_OMAT001_BB) as per ur thread....
In this case.. u need to make sure that the mapping to this object at the transfer rules are maintained properly or not.. if not try to maintain this object mapping properly in Tranfer rules and check the object is been used in the 0Material as well....
Activate the Infosource once u does these changes.. and check 0Material gets activated properly or not..
Also use use this program for activating ur object:
RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE

Activation of InfoObject 0CRM_SOLDTO from BC

hi,
i have a problem. I have activated (data flow downward) the InfoObject 0CRM_SOLDTO from the Business Content. While the Activation, it occurs a error " Mapping of 0BP_UNAME_ORGUNIT_ATTR HRECLNT500 0BPARTNER is inkonsistent".
Do anyone know, how i can solve this problem.. Its only this problem.

thanx for the answer ... now i have activted the 0CRM_SOLDTO.
I have deleted the aktive transferstrukture. Then i have activated 0CRM_SOLDTO again. it works..
but in BC there are many DataSources, Routines, InfoSources..( 0CRM_SOLDTO - dataflow downward.), and they are all activated too.
But if search in RSA1, i see the 0CRM_SOLDTO Object without the ETL Prozess concerning to this Object.
What is the problem??
I must see the complete dataflow to the hierarchie, attributes and texts. is it?

Activation of InfoObject in Business Content

Friends,
I tried to activate the InfoObject 0SALES_UNIT in the Business content and got a green signal stating that it is activated but i dont see it under the InfoObjects in AWB. Please suggest what possibly may be going wrong.

Problem with Activating char InfoObject

Hi ,
Due to one transport One InfoObject(Master Data) is Inactivated in quality. I tried to activate this InfoObject manually and by using RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE function module. But it is not activating & I am getting the error message like
1. Master data table is contains data
2. SID table is containing the data
So please let me know with out deleting the above data how can I activate that Infoobject.

basically, this happens if a object has been deleted from the attributes or the data type has changed or the field length was decreased and the object contains data in the target system. So follow Eugene's instruction. Compare the objects. Another option might be the deletion of the master data of the object. But this is only possible if the data of all dataproviders that contain the object will be deleted too.

Error when activating infoobject 0MAT_PLANT

Dear experts,
I switched off the flag for time dependency of a navigational attribute of 0MAT_PLANT. When trying to active 0MAT_PLANT again I am receiving the error R7286 (Error in activating the InfoObjects). When running RSRV I am only getting red traffic lights but when trying to repair the system is only telling me to activate the infoobject first. The infoobject was locked for conversion, I removed the lock and flagged the time dependency again, hoping that the object could be reactivated again but unfortunately this is not the case. Can someone help me with some tips on how to approach this?

I also checked the complete log but it is only mentioning to analyze /BI0/QMAT_UNIT with SE11. When doing this I get an error: /BI0/QMAT_PLANT: Inconsistency DD <-> DB (check table with analysis tool)
Any other tips?

ERROR IN ACTIVATING INFO OBJECT

GETTING AN ERROR WHEN I TRIED ACTIVATING THE INFOOBJECT. ERROR I GOT IS,
" ERROR GENERATING MASTER DATA ROUTINES."

This is an ABAP report which can be used to check the consistency of the Objects related to SID values, Nav attribute, Object versions, values check for MD attributes,,,etc...
In case of any errors, you can see the detailed log here and repair as well...
Pls use this to identify the errors in your IOBJ and correct accordingly!

Goto RDS1 -->check if the ZGSOURSYS object active or not?
Check if there are any transfer routine or conversion routine. if there is no routine
just add some line of code in the transfer routine and save it.
delete the added line of code and again save the transfer routine. activate the infoobject.
just saving the transfer routine and activating the infoobject should also help.

Error when activating 0MAT_Plant.

Hi Experts,
I have added a custom created infoobject(Material Freight Group) as an attribute of 0MAT_PLANT.When i assign it as only display attribute,its activating.But when i change it to Naviagtional attribute,its giving me the error"Error activating the infoobject".I tried assigning the custom created object as with and without Master data/text.Also deletd the master data from the infoobject before i change it to navigational.
Characteristic 0MAT_PLANT: Error when generating master data routines
Would be great if somebody can chip in with their knowledge on how to overocme this.

Activation Problem from Dev to QA through transport

We are tryiing to do a transport from Dev to QA and we are getting the following error even after several re-import of a request. We have also checked and rechecked the activated infoobjects and also if any of the objects are locked by some other request or not.
The request gets cancelled with error code -12.
It looks like when we transport the InfoObjects in small bunch, it gets successfully transported, otherwise if there are lots of InfoObjects in a request then it fails.

Hi,
There are many info objects which are not activate, because of this all other objects are failed, so create seperate trasport request for info objects and another request for Data source and info providers.

InfoObject 0ID_CHADAT is not available in version A

Is there step by step procedures for activating this InfoObject. The reason I plan to use it is because I have created a Delta enabled Generic Extractor using EQUI-AEDAT and feel that this is the ideal InfoObject to map to. If incorrect please advise an alternative. Thanks

Goto activation log (SLG1 tcode), find it, double click on it, in the bottom frame read the error messages. Click on a question mark to the right of the error, read the explanations and proposals.

Business Content, CCA - Incomplete Activation

Activated Cost Center Accounting Business Content of BW 3.3 without errors.
However, some objects are not available - in particular, 0COSTELMNT.
From RSA1 / Workbench, InfoObjects tab in Modeling, search does not find 0COSTELMNT.
However, RSA1 / Workbench, Source Systems tab in Modeling, after requesting Object OverView - 0COSTELMNT is reflected as activated. Also, from RSA1 / Workbench, InfoSources tab in Modeling for 0CO_OM_CCA_1, 0COSTELMNT is reflected in Transfer and Communication Structures. Furthermore, 0COSTELMNT can be drilled down into / opened for review.
Failure of 0COSTELMNT to completely activate prevents activation of other objects, including CCA_1 InfoCube.
Have attempted to re-activate total CCA Business Content in both foreground and background, without success.
Have attempted to re-activate 0COSTELMNT in both foreground and background without success.
Have attempted to force re-activation by specifically selecting Install option in Business Content - overriding Match status reflected, again without success.
Has anybody else encountered this or a similar problem ?
Any ideas how to achieve complete activation of InfoObject 0COSTELMNT, as well as related objects ?

Locks During Object Collection & Activation in Business content in NRIV

Hi,
During the Collection & activation of InfoObjects (Business Content) the systems get locked. looks like a dead lock in DB01 with table NRIV
We are on MSSQL 2005 SP3
Does anyone encountered this..???
All of the OSS notes i found talks about the Number Range but no solutions so far.....

Restrict Business Content Activation

Does anyone know of a way to restrict business content activation while still allowing developers to maintain objects in BW 7.0? I ran a trace while someone was activating an InfoObject and didn't see anything that I could use to achieve this level of control. If I remove the S_RS_ADMWB Maintenance (ACTVT=23) authorization for INFOOBJECT, then that stops the activation; however, we want our developers to be able to maintain existing InfoObjects. We just don't want most to be able to activate business content.

We have our own SAP development team at my company and don't typically use many consultants. It has always been our philosophy to allow our SAP developers to have comparable access across all our SAP development environments (e.g., ECC development, BW development, etc.) for cross-training purposes. But in reality, only a handful of our developers are very knowledgeable in our BW environment; we call them our "BW Administrators". These BW Administrators have concerns that one of the other developers who has played around in the BW environment but isn't all that knowledgeable might activate business content without realizing the implications of what they're doing. We would like for all of our developers to have RSA1 etc. so they can learn more about BW; however, per request of our BW Administrators, we want to restrict them such that they can't activate business content. But as you said (and per authorization tracing that I've done), there doesn't appear to be a way to restrict them from activating business content without also restricting them in other areas where we don't want them restricted. I guess we'll have to rely on administrative controls (i.e., training).

DataLoad-Problem after adding Nav-Attribute to InfoObject

hi there,
i added a navigational attribute, which i newly created, to an existing infoobject, which had already data loads.
i activated the infoobject and modified the transformationrule to fill the new attribute of the infoobject.
after i activated the transformationrule, i started the infopackage to fill the new attribute.
after the load has finished, i i started a master-data-changerun.
but when i let me show the data in the infoobject, i view only the SID of the infoobject. all other attributes are empty.
i am not using a startroutine in the transformationrule.
when i debug the transformationrule, i can see all values (SIDs and attributes of the infoobject).
i tried the RSRV transaction to check the masterdata of the infoobject, but it shows no errors.
what can i do, to repair the infoobject?
i'm using BI 7.0.

Hi,
First step is the check the data insde P table ( example /BIC/PXXX which will be there in the in master data and text tab)
if you find the data for newely added attributes then it works fine.
or else
Delete the master data
programs for individual IinfoObject master data deletion:
RSDMD_DEL_BACKGROUND or RSDMD_DEL_MASTER_DATA_TEXTS
then delete the transformation and recreate the transformation followed by DTP once again
activate all atributes individually once again
load data to the infoobject and check it.
you should be able to relove the problem
