Activation of SAP delivery example

In SEM-BPS, SAP has provided pre-configured planning areas vis-a-vis standard business content of BW objects.
Is there any similar pre-configured data basis and consolidation areas available in SEM-BCS? I saw one OSS note 736226 in this connection which helps to install the delivery example. Whether my understanding is correct?

Activities are explained in CR010 & CR300. It is a transaction type used to record sales activities e.g. telephone call, email or customer visit or a follow up call, request to fill up a questionnaire or request to set the status to complete etc. in customer/partner engagement lifecycle. This has mainly information like: Activity type partner, texts & dates. However it is an order document like opportunity, sales order etc. & extra information can be added by including customer set types like we do in opportunity, quotation, sales order, conttract etc.
Activities are a central part of SAP CRM & used across application e.g. Interaction Center, Sales, Marketing etc.
I hope this should be sufficient & helpful.
If you need to understand more about basic concept of Activities please see the dropdown list for Activity types..this will give you a good idea as to what are the kinds of business transactions which can be activities.
Regarding Quotation thing...Quotation is not an activity but 'Create Quotation' or 'Create Quotation as follow up to a lead or opportunity' can be an activity.

Incorrect Transport Requests : SAP delivery version getting collected

Hi,
In our development system, when we try to include objects in a transport request, the entries in the transport request are getting saved as the SAP Delivery version rather than the active version.
For example an ODS ( z object, newly created in development environment) entry is being logged as R3TR DODS XXXX (Obj name) rather than R3TR ODSO XXXX.This is happening for all object types ( Info objects, cubes, workbooks etc).
Also while collecting workbooks in transport request ( using transport connection) we got the following error -Logical transport object 414Q not found in table RSTLOGOPROP. Not sure if the above two issues are interlinked.

I don't expect the loading date to be equal to the delivery date but I expect it to be 2 days before the delivery date since the time specified on the route is 2 days. So I would expect my loading date = delivery date - 2 days (route time)
The way system is acting is loading date = committed date + 2 days (route time).
FYI.. when you turn on route scheduling the delivery creation date is based off of your route time and not your planned delivery time from the material master

Error when creating a business activity in SAP BPC 10.1

Hi Experts,
I am failing to save a new business activity in SAP BPC 10.1 when setting up a new business process flow. I can validate the the activity successfully, however when I try to save the activity i receive the following message " Saving the workspace failed because of a missing root folder; contact your system administrator"
Please can anyone help me with why I am receiving this message?

Hi Kudzai,
The error you're getting in BPC 10.1 is because the environments were migrated from BPC 10.0 or older version using transaction UJBR and it was not migrated to 10.1 after the restore.
SAP Note 2052538 provides resolution for this. Please follow the instructions of Upgrade Guide for BPC NW 10.1:
Execute migration program UJT_MIGRATE_100_TO_101 to migrate 10.0 data to 10.1 if the restored environment was backed up from a BPC NW 10.0 system
Execute migration program UJT_MIGRATE_75_TO_101 to migrate 7.5 data to 10.1 if the restored environment was backed up from a BPC NW 7.5 system

Where to delete SAP delivery data

Hello,
I want to delete SAP delivery data cos client its not needful. If i do delete SAP delivered controlling areas in DEV it won't create automatic transport request.
In PRD it's delete function for deleting controlling areas are disabled.
In which client it should be deleted? and how to do transport?

Hello,
You should be extremely careful and never try to do these experiments in production with these programs.
Only you can delete them in DEV - (development environment - but not testing) in case if somebody inadvertently posted some transaction data.
IMG ==> Financial Accounting (New) General Ledger Accounting ==> Preparation for Produtive Start ==> Delete Test Data ==>
Delete Transaction data
PS: Please make sure that you are doing in the right client. Otherwise, these deletes are IRREVERSIBLE.

Excel to SAP Macro Example

Ok so here's an example of how to mass generate PDF's from PO placed on various Vendors. The entire code, if used on a VBA for Excel, does the task.
Can the VBA coding in SAP be edited so that instead of generating PDF's, it can be used to change Delivery and Stat date for a certain line item and save the PO? Like a mass Date Conversion on PO? Because thats very tedious task to accomplish sometimes.

See, the issue here is that your program is simulating human behavior. It is not asking SAP for details or field names, it is simply going to a point on the screen and performing the activity. It is just like a program we have in automation testing.
We have experience of programing such stuffs in college days, but wont be a wise thing to encourage it here.
for making changes to delivery dates (for specific lines of PO where MEMASSPO wont work), i recommend you to follow the standard path of ABAP or LSMW in that matter

Business Activity in SAP CRM 7.0 WebUI

Hello SAP Experts,
In SAP CRM 7.0, under maintain activities, I have assigned categories to class interaction log, appointments and tasks.
The same categories have been assigned to some business activities. For example Category Sales Call (001) is assigned to Interaction Log. The sales call is in turn assigned to Transaction Type- Business Activity.
When I log on to web ui, I am able to see this business activity under Interaction Log and create the transaction.
In the same way, when I assign category u2013CX4 (Telephone Call) to class Phone Call to a Transaction Type-Sales Call (0001-business activity), I am not able to see the same in web ui.
The same holds good when categories are assigned to Class Miscellaneous, Letter, Meeting, E-mail etc, are in turn assigned to transaction types are visible in web ui.
Kindly clarify, whether all the business activities fall under APPOINTMENT, INTERACTION LOG, TASK, E-MAIL AND VISIT PLAN in WEB UI.
The other category class, apart from the above mentioned, where can they be used?
If yes, how do I do the customizing which would enable me to see all in WEB UI?

I am facing the same problem. Other than Appointments,Tasks,Email and Interaction record I cannot create any other Activities.
I defined a new Transaction type assigned the category Misc but cannot create the Activity on WEBUI. As Raja suggested I have also assigned the Channel as WEBUI and ICWEBCLIENT but still does not work. Is there any Role specific customization that needs to be performed?
Please let me know if your issue is resolved and how you resolved it.

Credit Block is activated after the delivery is posted. How to avoid?

Hi All,
Need help from all you experts. I have the following scenario. There is a credit block after the delivery has been processed. I have checked with FD32, OVA8. There are open items well within limits. Also the system is customized to skip the credit check if the payment is being made thru Cards. And inspite of entering the card details, the system is checking for credit after the delivery is processed.
Can you plz tell what could be the problem and how to overcome it????

1.To See the SAP Note : Go to Transaction snote and there click on button Download SAP Note and give the required Note number.
Else go to Servise.SAP.com, there you can get all the details regarding the OSS Note.
2.Under FD32 : Goto -- Genral Data -- Central Data
Chech their the Value of Toatal Amount and Individual Limit.If any of the limit Crosses.There will be block to your Document.
3. To Relese Your doc from credit block : Go to Tr- VKM5. to remove your credit block for particular documnet.After executing the particular document .
Check the document and release it and save it.By doing this you can proceed your document further.

Error Activating Hierarchy SAP BW 7.3

Hello Fellow BWer's!
I'm facing an odd issue regarding this instructions found in the forums:
BW 7.30: Hierarchy loading becomes easier with the help of new framework
Loading Hierarchies from Flat File using the new DataSource and Transformation Technology
While I try to activate a hierarchy based on thiese 2 whitepapare's mathods, I get first this warnings
After accepting the activation with warnings I receive this error messages: RSDS666,RSDS133,RSDS134,RSO404
I'm attaching also a file of the complete activation list.
Please help me to acheive this or suggest me a better way to load a Hierarchy With Time Dependancies from an CSV

I tried this by following steps in the first link I provided, this is, using Flexible Hierarchy and data is coming from a CSV file in my local computer, the only different thing here is that I'm trying to make it time dependant.
And the preview of the file is as follows:

1.-The data object "L_S_DATA_0001" has no component called "HIENM", but there is a component called "H_HIENM".
2.-Code line has errors: " l_s_data_0001-hienm = l_s_hie-hienm."
3.-Syntax error in routine "ASCIIHIER " (Conversion method), line 253 of generated program"
4.-Error when activating DataSource ZAI_ORGU_HIE ZLOCALCSV

Hi Bahar,
have a look into the ume directory. There is a file called sapum.properties.bak.
Edit the file and check if the entry for ume.supersuer.activated (or similar) is set to true.
Rename the file to sapum.properties and restart the portal
